“I normally don’t review a restaurant after one visit, but Marzano was exceptional. It’s an approachable fine dining experience. The staff was great, and definitely give the impression that they genuinely care about your visit. We took a chance on the appetizer special, and were very happy that we stepped outside our comfort zone (Traditional Venetian antipasto of marinated salt cod on squid ink polenta cakes paired with whipped ciccione crostini, sour cherries and hazelnuts). The lasagna bolognese and carbonara were absolutely amazing from the first bite to the last. I’ve never had better.“

“Finally got around to trying this place in my neighborhood. We had the thin crust pesto and meat lovers pizzas. Both were excellent. The staff was extremely friendly and the food delivered very quickly. The main dining room has a nice comfortable feel. If you are in Tacoma's North End, I highly recommend it.“

“Found this little gem on a Thursday run with my running group. Stopped in afterwards and had the pear, arugula, goat cheese, and hot honey pizza. Wonderful pizza with all ingredients well balanced, albeit a bit messy. 😉 Was told by the bartender afterwards that next time I could add meat ingredients too. So if you want to guild the lily just ask.

The atmosphere was perfect for an intimate couple with soft lighting, quiet music, and dark colors. This would be a perfect cozy date spot (21+ only, so kid free zone). Plus, afterwards, there is gelato next door.“

Our party of 4 each got something completely different and everyone was very pleased. I got a salad with chicken, cranberries, apples, and candied pecans. Everything was super-fresh and crisp. “This was my first time visiting this particular Papa Murphy’s location, which is in a neighborhood that can be a bit rough after dark.

The staff were friendly, quick with their smiles, and provided great customer service.

The only downside was related to the food prep. I bought five pizzas on a Tuesday to freeze and use over the weekend. Unfortunately, Papa Murphy’s doesn’t include clear instructions for baking directly from the freezer. To their credit, they do advise letting refrigerated pizzas come to room temperature so the dough can rise before baking.

It would be helpful if they also offered guidelines for frozen pizzas.“

This place is a hole in the wall dive bar with lots of regulars and the best pizza and calzone I've ever had. Service was amazing and she brought our Bruno a pup-cutterie.
