“Not sure why this place isn't rated higher. The food here is the closest you'll get to a proper Korean BBQ restaurant north of Milwaukee. It has some proper Korean side dishes, all of the traditional and favorite cuts you're used to at a KBBQ. Their recent addition of sushi is also solid. No. I wouldn't go there explicitly for the sushi as there are better sushi joints in the area, but it compares very favorably to Akame and Sushi Lover, the other AYCE options in the valley. Molo, the only other competitor, is inferior in several ways, not the least of which is that every side dish in the place tastes like 9 lbs of sugar was dumped into it, and the ones that aren't are not made to order and are incredibly bland. The BBQ itself there is actually not bad, however, everything else that makes a KBBQ restaurant what it is does not exist there, and that is often the most important part. People who are not used to these types of restaurants: Order the lettuce leaves, the steamed white rice, and several sauces. You're supposed to take the meat, grill it, put it with rice, whatever other veggies/sauces you want, and then eat them as little hand rolls. Stop cooking completely unseasoned meat, shoving it in your mouth and then calling it bland. Obviously that will be bland, just like if you grilled a steak at home and splashed some soy sauce on it and wonder why it's bland.”

There are games to play at the tables with kids or family which is a really cool idea. The staff is really friendly, will definitely be one of my go to local places.”

Then, like a lighthouse in the distance, Molo appears! From the robot cat leading us to our table, to our hostess/server making excellent recommendations, to the massive cocktail tower, to the delightful birthday song, this was truly an excellent experience. But what about the food?! Phenomenal, no other way to say it. All the broths were delightful, especially the Thai Tom Yum, and the Molo pork belly for the BBQ was truly a standout. Everything was fresh, everything was fast, and the entire experience was truly special. Thank you Molo crew for making our day out special and delicious!”

The service has always been wonderful and consistent. The manager stops by the table a QUICK check in. That small touch means so much!! Yesterday I had the lemon cake for dessert friend's had the gluten free chocolate cake. We were all in HEAVEN!! My second time there a couple years ago we had a server who was maybe having an off day. I talked to the manager on my way out & he was sincere & grateful I had let him know.”

“Madras Cafe is an absolute gem of a restaurant! The owner warmly greeted us when we came in. He asked if we had ever eaten there before and when we said no kindly explained the menu. He asked our preferences and made personal recommendations for each member of our group. The food was EXCEPTIONAL! I never write reviews but knew instantly I needed to share my experience. The foods were flavorful and the spices vibrant. I have to mention the coffee. If you are a coffee drinker, then you are about to be ruined for all other coffee. It was smooth and rich. Reminded me of French press but better. The prices are reasonable and fits into any budget. The owner explained how each dish was best eaten and shared a charming story about how his mother's cooking influenced the restaurant's menu. I have never felt so welcome and at home in a restaurant. I highly recommend.”

“The street corn tots were delicious! I would go back just for those. The burgers were good, but the beef did lack flavor. Our server was very attentive. She checked up on us often. One thing that didn't go so well was that we got the wrong order. It was our first time there so we didn't realize it, and honestly, the food took so long to come out, we forgot what burgers we ordered. So when they brought out our supposed order, my burger came with fries when I ordered a salad. I thought hey, maybe they forgot it and had fries instead. I didn't let the server know because she was busy and we were hungry, already waiting a long time for our food, and on a schedule. We needed to be somewhere and thought an hour and a half was sufficient time to eat, appearantly not. I would give this place another try, hoping that the food will come out sooner than later and that we don't get the wrong food order.”

I ordered the Snake River Farms Wagyu medium-rare, and it was cooked absolutely perfectly with an incredible sear, and rich flavor. The service was attentive, and the atmosphere felt both upscale and welcoming. I'll definitely be back and would recommend Rye to anyone looking for an exceptional steak dinner.”

Red Ox tops our list of fav classic Wisco supper club experiences! The food was DELISH! We’d recommend you order your preferred old fashion, ask for the sourdough with honey butter [love that they don’t bring it out unless you ask to avoid wasting ❤], the Diablo Salmon, a haddock trio, & the tartor sauce is literal nectar of the gods! SRSLY! We also appreciated the volume & choice of background tunes in the dining room. Special shout out to our server Mady who put the cherry on top of this already memorable meal. The bacon was crispy and flavorful, not exactly the level of crisp I requested, but still very enjoyable and well‑prepared.The customer service is a full 5 stars. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. You can tell they care about creating a positive experience for every guest.

“One of the best meals I have had in a while of this particular type of cuisine. My husband and I absolutely love experiencing all different kinds of food from everywhere. We recently relocated to the Appleton area after living 20 years in Wausau. One of the harder parts of leaving was losing all of the local small business places we frequented because we knew that their food was authentic and delicious. I happened upon Ong’s kitchen, just by exploring the area close to our house. I hadn’t yet had a chance to try it when a friend who lives here highly recommended it. I stopped in for lunch the other day and got the rice vermicelli noodle bowl. Which is a favorite of mine! Minus being to brave for my own level of spice 😝🥵 that I added(not the restaurants fault at all)….. it was a dish that reminded me of one of my favorite places that we had back in our old city. In fact, I am making my Husband get takeout from there today because I’m excited to try what else they offer. I am truly happy that this is one of the very first places that we found and we will be repeat customers. I’m sure you’ll even see my children in there because Pho & egg rolls are some of their favorites!! Thank you for sharing your delicious food with our community! “My husband and I tried Agave for the first time this past friday while doing some Christmas shopping. We were excited with all the good reviews however the service and food fell short. We were maybe 1 table of 6 with 3 servers on. Our food came out before our appetizer. My food was warm at best. My husband's looked like it had sat under a warming lamp. Our waiter never came to see how things were or ask about drinks. We then had to flag another waiter for our bill to find out we were charged dinner prices for lunch items. We just paid and left it was not worth the time. Also why is your restroom like a freezer? I could see my breath when I went in to use it!”

“Went there twice with different friends. Everyone was impressed with the salad bar. Small but good selection of items. Liver Paste was my favorite others enjoyed the split pea soup. Two of us had the Frog Leg Special the other had the Petite Sirloin. Second time I went with 4 men. I still couldn’t resist the Frog Legs. A father son had the Sirloin for two and the other had a Med. Sirloin. We were surprised that they had beets on the salad bar. In all a great experience.”

The service has always been wonderful and consistent. The manager stops by the table a QUICK check in. That small touch means so much!! Yesterday I had the lemon cake for dessert friend's had the gluten free chocolate cake. We were all in HEAVEN!! We had our kids meal and four burgers in the familt bundle, but none of the toppings we paid...just patties and buns. missing the bacon, fried onions, tomatoes, lettuce, pivkles, everything. Then, maybe even worse, no fries!!! My husband calls immediately upon returning home and they tell him they can refund us $4 for the bacon I guess. Then he says he has to call us back later to take care of the refund. Of course, no call back. Now our burgers are ice cold and I'm forced to make food anyway. it was ridiculous. We had better get a refund or I will make sure more people hear about this experience. I mean, not even an apology for the mistake and inconvenience....”

“The street corn tots were delicious! I would go back just for those. The burgers were good, but the beef did lack flavor. Our server was very attentive. She checked up on us often. One thing that didn't go so well was that we got the wrong order. It was our first time there so we didn't realize it, and honestly, the food took so long to come out, we forgot what burgers we ordered. So when they brought out our supposed order, my burger came with fries when I ordered a salad. I thought hey, maybe they forgot it and had fries instead. I didn't let the server know because she was busy and we were hungry, already waiting a long time for our food, and on a schedule. We needed to be somewhere and thought an hour and a half was sufficient time to eat, appearantly not. I would give this place another try, hoping that the food will come out sooner than later and that we don't get the wrong food order.”
