Tried a couple of brews including a regular Hefeweizen and a Hefe with fruit (mango I think? Can’t remember), also pickle beer… yum!

Lots of seating indoors and outdoors, and some cornhole sets, which we enjoyed. Actually didn’t do too bad for once, probably standing closer than normal

“Supper clubs are big in Wisconsin, I was glad to have enjoyed the experience at Jake’s. The beer battered fish and loaded potatoes were a hit! One must have their Jameson Orange Old Fashion! A must place to eat!!”

“The Toppers crew here is the best. They know how to make pizza here and are always happy to make sure your order is right. They tall guy with dungeon and dragons tattoo that took my order was super friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone. I get off work late often and they are always open late so no matter what I can go out to get something to eat.”

“i went looking for the christmas ornaments. they come out earlier each year and i found out on my last visit to caribou that they were already out. i try to purchase 3 of each ornament and can never buy them all at one establishment. my stop at dick's was to see if i could complete the sets i needed. i found one that finished it but noticed another ornament that they only had two of. so now i will have to go to eau claire and see if i can find the needed one there at a 4th location.
i didn't purchase anything to drink or eat, so i am not rating that. i did purchase some bags of coffee that i will be sending to alaska and south carolina to friends since i don't drink coffee.”

“Give me that rack of ribs. This guy in the back freaking nailed them. I could eat them with no teeth. Literally sat there and ate a rack with no utensils.. bones pulled right out. Now for the record it doesn't go this way every time but when they get it right they get it right. I had BBQ sauce everywhere while I stared at the cute waitresses for an hour. I'll be back.. make sure that dude is working the kitchen again. He's an all star.”

“I spent more afternoons and evenings than I cared to admit hanging out in this bar. The owner (at the time, Tom) was a good friend. This was from the mid 80's through the early 90's, (yes, I just dated myself.) Times were different then and 'The Den' was a gathering place for locals; we looked out for each other. We knew that no matter what was going on in our lives, when we walked in the door, we were 'family'. Tom usually had coffee on in the morning, and he was always telling jokes. He made sure that you were laughing or at least smiling before you left. He had the ability to read people, knowing when things were off... I was sad to hear of his passing; however, I know that he would be pleased knowing that it is still here and still bringing smiles to those who enter. Thank you to the current owner(s) for keeping his dream alive and for keeping the atmosphere of being a local icon for the working folks who might have dirt on their boots, sweat on their brow, and just looking for a cold beer without breaking the bank!
Keep up the good work, and I look forward to stopping by the next time I'm in the area. Laughing and reminiscing while having a cold one! If those walls could talk... maybe it's best that they can't 🤭🤣”

“My son and I ate here yesterday-Sunday, April 23rd. We were greeted right away when we walked in……found our table to sit and the bartender/waitress was right over to take our order. We ordered the bone in chicken wings and oh-so tasty! I had the olive burger-YUMMY and my son had the Philly sandwich and he said it was tasty as well! Our beer never ran dry…..the food was hot and delicious! We will be back for sure to sample something else on the menu!!”

“I've come here a few times since I moved to the area and have never had a bad experience. The food, especially the burgers that I have had, are always better than I expect. They have two pool tables, a dart board, maybe two, and a jukebox. I haven't taken advantage of the outdoor area but that looks nice also. This place deserves to be successful. Check it out next time you are in the area”

“This bar is one of the most influential bars in the town of Menomonie, it's like a moth to a flame to any college kid. They have great bartenders, most notably Rachel, who keeps up with the crowd while holding a conversation with others.”

Fortunately, the staff there were extremely kind and helpful. They made sure I didn’t complete the order, ordered my redo right away and made it right. Even made sure I didn’t want whip cream when I substituted for oat milk - I totally forgot and the staff was looking out for my health. Excellent service, excellent food :)”

“Four of us had dinner last night. My 2 pieces of fish were each only about 2 inches wide and poorly done. My wife had one piece of tiny fish. We won’t go back. The shrimp our guest had was not good and she left three shrimp! They won’t go back either!”

“The Taco John's establishments seem to me to have it together all around compared to the they're competitors as well as reasonable menu pricing.

Parking: Oakdale and they have plenty of parking.”

The staff were very friendly and the cooks were great.
They did make a mistake on my son's Burger but they quickly resolved it and apologized and let us keep the mess up.

The drink machine has a lot of options to choose from.
Great place to stop on a road trip to the Wisconsin dells or back.”
