“Such a delightful scene, a real outdoor family experience and authentic Iran. The food is like it was when I lived there in the 70's. Best ever. Kabobs, grilled tomatoes, great Bademjun (eggplant) stew and Asht (soup), cold marianted Sabrizi salad, beautiful Basmati rice with saffon. A real hidden gem, just south of I80 west of the causeway to Sacto.”

“I just had to try the pizza voted Best in Yolo County. This pizza is amazing. A huge pizza, abundant with delicious toppings with a perfectly chewy while still puffy crust. It reminds of pizza the way it used to be made before the cheap chains took over. The people working were kind and energetic. They have a very clean, large dining room to accommodate a crowd. This place is firing on all cylinders!”

“Enjoyed an excellent dinner experience at Osteria Fasulo in Davis, CA. For apps we had the mussels and clams which were plump in a white wine sauce that was very good and Carpaccio Leonardo that was melt in your mouth delicious. We opted for the Pappardelle on Polipo that I would highly recommend as well as the Tortino di eggplant and risotto con calamari that our friend said was the best risotto he has had. Recommend the Vermentino with these selections. There is a very good and varied wine selection that is reasonably priced. Ciao!”

For the price, the portions are insane and it is also absolutely delicious. The meat is tender and flavorful. It tastes just as good as some of the Mission restaurants in SF. The best thing about this place is the unlimited chips and salsa bar that they just keep pumping out. I saw this old man take like 10 containers of salsa himself which I thought was a bit selfish but I also understand. It is just so good.”

They over charge on the beer cheese for a small portion. It's semi odd misleading where you have to order cause you can order at all small booth or bar ??‍♂️. Owner Adam was hella cool & patient. Molly was great with the suggestions. I appreciate the genuineness & vibe of the place. Will mostly Only come here for burgers when I'm back in Davis ??”

It felt like the restaurant and staff were new and figuring out the menu, food, and processes, so it was a bit hectic and disorganized, and the pizzas a little wet. I got a strong sense that these things would work themselves out and it will become a great place to enjoy an outdoor meal.Parking: Very walky area. Probably easier to park nearby and walk in.”

“We've been dining at Zen Toro since their downtown location, then followed them to Davis. The owner, Masa and his wife were always so friendly and accommodating....Not to mention that the food was always Excellent! Now their son Scott and his wife Amy run the restaurant and continue to deliver Delicious food. We live in Sacramento and never hesitate to drive to Davis to eat at Zen Toro when we're in the mood for delicious Japanese food!!”

“This is my first time eating here. I sat outside on the patio on a beautiful day. I had the chicken curry spicy and garlic basil naan. The food was delicious. It was much better than expected. The layout is cozy with comfy grey chairs. The esthetic is great inside. Just a little crowded because of limited space..Bun rieu - I ordered it and I loved it. It wasn't too salty. I loved the pork meatballs in it. The soup hit the spot for the bright sunny day..Beef pho - according to my friend it was good. It was a little salty. Can't go wrong with a classic beef pho..Bun xieo - Crispy egg pancake. The size was big and lots of veggies came with it. If your craving some salad or refresh dish or a dish to share, this is the one. It was light too packed with flavors..Overall service was ok. They came to refill water. Sometimes we ask them something but there is no reply but they bring you the things you asked. Just they don't tell you they hear you. “What a lovely place to spend Mother's Day with my daughter. It's in an alley off D street surrounded by plants - we sat outside. The food and service was great! I have been to other tea rooms, but the food options were plentiful. We had the "Queen's Plate" which included a charcuterie board (I'd swap the saltines for some other cracker); fresh scones with strawberry jam and Devonshire cream. The tea sandwiches were plentiful as were the desserts. Everything was yummy.”

“Tried out this boba spot for the first time yesterday. When I get boba I almost always get a honey dew milk tea, but this location didn't carry that flavor so I had to try something new. I was kind of bummed out but after getting my drink I was actually really happy to had to try something new because it was really good. My fiancé got the black tea latte with taro and boba, he said it was really good. And the drink I needed up choosing was the Passionfruit green tea with boba and lychee jelly. It was really good and refreshing! I was pleasantly surprised by there being actual passionfruit bits inside and not just passionfruit flavoring. I personally would opt out of the lychee jelly next time, I think it had too much of an artificial flavor to it- but just my personal opinion. The drink was actually really good! It has lime sliced in it too. You don't really interact with the staff since they don't take your order, everything is ordered through an iPad, and they're so busy they don't really talk to you. Which was fine because they got our drinks out pretty fast and the iPad was really user friendly. I think the inside was cute, it had tables, separate chairs near the pick up table, and this cute bench. I'd definitely come back if I was in the area :)”

They're noticeably larger with a thicker, more satisfying batter compared to mochinut's corn dogs, and surprisingly, they come at a more affordable price. That aspect truly delighted me. There was a good amount of floral in the tea and the boba was nice and chewy with some sweetness to it. My partner got the mango green tea at 50% sweetness and I got to say it's probably the best one I had in a long while. There was strong mango flavor and ripe mango bits. The flavor did not taste artificial at all. Even at 50% sweet it was delicious. I usually like 75% but my partner likes 50% and it was still good! Would definitely be back!”

“We just recently moved to Davis and finally tried the Black Bear Diner here. It was a good experience overall, but there's some room for improvement. I'm physically disabled (use a walker), and we were seated promptly, but it took awhile for anyone to take our order. Mostly college students working there, who were busy chatting behind the counter while we waited.We orderer burgers fries and onion rings, and I would say the food was a 7/10. The burgers weren't as good as we expected, the meat patties were a bit small, the lettuce was wilty, but the fries were crispy. The onion rings were the best, nice and crunchy, great flavor with this amazing bacon ranch dip.We brought home a banana cream pie to share, and it was extremely disappointing, with no real crust to speak of, just crumbs, very little actual banana and the filling was so-so.We will probably go back to try other items, but not their desserts.Wheelchair accessibility: There's a wheelchair ramp”
