“We found Violet's from another yelp review. We arrived just in time to secure a table on their lovely patio. The ambience is great. We had attentive service and the food was well prepared. It is a limited menu for lunch. We found their Nicoise Salad and burger very tasty and fresh. The dinner menu offers a few more options. We will definately be back..“

“I was in Santa Monica yesterday morning in line to eat at another restaurant. It was already lunch time. But I wanted breakfast food. I asked the people in line if that restaurant served French Toast for breakfast. A very nice young woman with a cute dog said "go to John O'Groats" if you want a traditional French Toast Breakfast. I followed her advice and drove out to John O'Groats. I am so glad that I did. This place is a tradition diner with a lot of charm. The French Toast was great. As was the coffee. The service was good. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I will definitely be returning to this location with friends. This is a great place to have lunch or dinner. Before I drove out there, I called. I got an outgoing voice message. I left a message in which I said that I had wished that someone had answered the phone. I just wanted to know if they are still serving breakfast. When I arrived, the proprietor said to me "You called didn't you?" I answered in the affirmative. He responded "We have breakfast all day every day!" I wish I had taken down the name and contact information of the woman who recommended John O'Groats. I would have enjoyed sharing my experience with her.“

“Many who dine out know about the chicken sandwich craze which spread across the nation several years ago. From gourmet style to fast-food many eateries jumped in to offer their take. Le Coupe is no sleeper and from what I experienced ranks in the top of fried chicken with a twist. Many rave about Memphis style chicken and they should but Le Coupe uses its Louisiana Cajun heritage to make it a "must stop." Their sandwich is exceptional. If you're looking for basic fried chicken, this is NOT YOUR SPOT. Instead you will be treated to fried chicken drenched in a tasty hot, honey style sauce that is the perfect complement. The quality of the sandwich shines as while the chicken is superbly prepared, the bun, the slaw, the pickles take it to a new level. Some might raise an eyebrow over the $15 cost but again, this a'int fast food as you get what you pay for. Moving on, the rib of corn is so basic it's hilarious to mention. But, boy have they hit it out of the park with this appetizer. Ribs of corn are drenched in a mayonnaise chili sauce that makes it a very addictive dish. For $11, worth the experience. The potato salad (made with red potatoes) is fresh made (like the other items), very tasty and a nice presentation by being topped off with fresh chives. The drinks are another hit. Everything is freshly made. The lemonade was tasty and you could taste the quality. Again, at $6, you get what you pay for. LeCoupe is a tiny venue but cozy enough for several chairs, as well as a few outside. Everything is made from scratch but your order comes at a quick pace. Western and Melrose is a busy intersection, so the parking on Western can be tight so you will need some patience or street-smarts. Le Coupe has earned my business so if you're having the taste for some uniquely fried chicken (thighs or tenders) you can't go wrong with them. Price points may appear high but worth it based on the quality your receive.“

“As part of a family date day we stopped by the Morrison on our way back from Griffith Observatory. As usual, it didn't disappoint. It was still happy hour which was indeed a plus.WILLIAM was our server. He was very nice and friendly. He checked on us numerous times. Enough that we knew were taken of but not too much that he interfered with our lunch.I ordered 1903 lagger and my wife ordered the "Spring Fling". Her drink wasn't loaded but I could definitely taste the alcohol. Drinks were tasty and paired well with the Spicy Chicken Sandwich and turkey burger. We swapped the regular fries with sweet potato fries. We didn't know it when he ordered but they were garlic fries and let me tell you they were... Pretty good! My wife had to leave her regular fries to steal my sweet potatoes.My daughter had the kids meal burger sliders on Hawaiian bread. The serving of fries was NOT kid size. She was over the moon... She loves fries.We ordered dessert, cookies and ice cream. My daughter thought she was in heaven. I didn't partake bc I had had too many garlic fries but they both seemed to enjoy them.Needless to say we'll be back again sometime soon.In the meantime - if you're looking for a yummy meal in a cool ambiance, look no further and stop by the Morrison (no, I was not in any way compensated for this review!)Oh and parking is not the best (small parking lot) but easy to find parking in the street. “First time here, but I'm definitely coming back.i got the jumbo beef dog with Pastrami. It's very tasty. Great service! Everyone was great!!. One of the owners is pictured. He threw in a small cup of chili, which was really good. By recommendation, I mixed the punch with the lemonade. Definitely recommend doing that! The outsider seating was nice. Even though Crenshaw is a main drag. The seating is set away from the street. If you haven't been you need to go.“

“One of my very favorite restaurants:) The owners Mark and Lena are very committed to creating healthy dishes with quality ingredients. All of the produce here is farmers market fresh daily and pretty much everything else including meat, honey etc. is sourced from top quality vendors that they have established relationships with. If you've never had Danish food before the flavors may not be what your used to, but I promise your pallet will adjust and it is delicious and high quality!!“

“I wanted to try this spot since it's close by the house. As someone who doesn't eat meat, grilled cheese is an only option for me, not even a simple veggie burger. Disappointing. Grilled cheese was whatever. Bf tried the kids cheeseburger and said it was solid. He liked it. Curly fries were great. Grilled cheese will not bring me back but I'll give it another chance if they start selling veggie burgers. Not really vegetarian friendly. Other than that, the service was very friendly and inviting.“

“This place and "heavy handed" are two of my favorite burger spots !!! I love the smash burger style of each I get the two slider combo (double patty for each) with waffle cheese fries - it's extremely filling, sometimes I do one burger with the cheese fries (depending on how hungry I am) I get an extra sauce on the side and like to dip my burger and fries in it, I love that they give you a large sauce on the side + the consistency is great, we've ordered from here many times now and every time it's delicious + we get delivery and the quality holds“

“I've been following the Chef Lemos' progress with development of this restaurant and after the success of Wax Paper I was really excited to try it. My wife and I stopped in for brunch on Sunday. Outdoor patio has a good deal of seating in the front and a lot in the back, but the front has a view of the river, which you can also hear occasionally when an obnoxious and pretentious woman isn't drowning everything else out (that's not a knock on the restaurant, just the hipster attitude of some people). The food and drink options are solid. I got the breakfast burrito which was excellent and my wife had the eggs 'n' curds which she enjoyed. The star of the meal was her brunch cocktail, the Superbloom which came at the suggestion of our server. My wife mentioned she could have enjoyed a pitcher of it, especially in the outstanding weather we had. Caution to driving in, however, the construction of several apartment buildings is a little potentially rough on your tires so be mindful. I look forward to returning for dinner in the future. “I've been wanting to come here for the longest and I'm the only thing that makes me mad/sad is that I didn't visit sooner because WOW! Plenty of parking! Lots of seating, both indoor and outside. The entire place is clean and smells wonderful (not fried or stinky like other fast food joints). The employees were SUPER friendly and helped us navigate the kiosk and explained that we were welcome to get refills of the fountain drinks and were encouraged to try the different flavors.Everything was DELICIOUS! My husband ordered the holy guacamole burger, I got the California burrito with sweet potato fries and my children ordered the kids meal. One chicken nugget and one cheeseburger. The burrito was phenomenal! Very hearty and filling. Lots of flavor. And these had to be the best sweet potato fries ever! Perfectly cooked and fresh. I especially loved the drinks. The strawberry dragonfruit drink with black tea was so refreshing! The hibiscus one was stellar too!Amazing plant based fast food! Clean bathrooms. Ample parking. And they cater! “This place has great strawberry sando. I went around 12pm just the right time when the sandoes are out. The strawberries are very fresh. They also have other katsu dishes like rice plate or katsu sando. The desserts here are great too. I just love every menu here! One thing is that parking is valet and it’s not free (unless you do pick up).“

I usually come here too in the past, and now when I bring riders down here to Hollywood Sunset Strip. I love this cool train car turned into a great burger and hot dog restaurant. It is really clean inside and outside. The guy at the cashier is really nice, helped me out super well with my order. The cook, who you can see right in front, works really hard!!! Give these guys a raise. Ok... to the good stuff now...the Food! My order was simple, and usually, the same. Tonight, I got a chili burger, chili hot dog, no onions, as I am allergic to them. I also got a Super Large drink. Everything was so yummy! They have the best chili!!! Everything cooked to perfect temperature! I stayed here a bit as it was a Tuesday night, waiting for my riders. Beef was so crispy, the bun was perfectly packed and never fell apart, the home made sauce hits like a unicorn. And the hot dog? Let's just say it's what you dream ball park dogs are like. I was not crazy about the chicken sandwich. In absolute and relative terms it fell flat compared to what else is offered at the resto. Come here!!“

I was also impressed by the incredibly competitive prices. My meal was about $13 for 5 wings and fries. Many places would charge me closer to $20. Honey garlic wings: 10/10 (slight kick, I don't normally like any spice, however I really didn't mind on these, they were very good) Side note: The sauce was just drizzled on, not covering the whole thing. I thought it was perfect, the chicken was great on its own, and it wasn't drowning in sauce. Sometimes places go overkill on the sauce to compensate for mid chicken, not the case here. I don't know how it can get better than this in LA.“

P.S: "First Light Farms" provides their beef, which is certified humane, halal, and free of antibiotics, GMOs, and hormones (a New Zealand meat company).“

The americano was deliciously bold and my mom was delighted by their mocha. We shared two entrees: the breakfast sandwich and the orange french toast. “This had all the makings of a great burger, but unfortunately it fell down on one of the most important pillars--execution! Specifically, the meat was not well prepared. I'm not sure if I came on an off day, but the quality was lacking; some bites were too dry; some bites were not seasoned well. It's like whatever beef mixture they were using reached the bottom of the barrel and was not fresh. Also, I ordered the patty rare, and it was served medium-well. Ordinarily, I wouldn't make a big fuss about this sort of thing, but they are clearly going for the "elevated" burger experience at a premium $17 price point, and at those levels they really need to deliver flawlessly, every time. I also felt that the burger was a bit on the small side. I could fit the entire sandwich in one hand. The rest of the composition was actually quite good. I tried their signature "Stout," which comes with blue cheese, Gruyère, bacon, grilled onions, tomatoes, and a horseradish sauce. Each element complements the others really well, without any one becoming overwhelming. Flavor wise, it's all there. I just wish the patty pulled its own weight! I also tried the loaded fries, which were delicious. Specifically, whatever cheese they use melts perfectly over fresh, hot, crispy fries, and had a consistency that was not too runny and not too thick. The Goldilocks of melted cheese! These were also pricey at $9 though, and the portion was also on the small side. Overall, I'm glad that I tried what is allegedly one of the "best burgers in LA," but I won't be running back.“

“I had the double Oklahoma Smash Burger with Japanese Wagyu. I appreciate the warmth of the fries. The seasoning on the fries was amazing. The burger itself was nothing like I've had before. I've had easy street, heavy handed, burgers never say die, for the win, but they do not compare to this burger. This was a ghost kitchen, which I much appreciated since the process was fast. I get a breakfast sandwich on their english muffin with bacon. Fucking phenomenal. The best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. First off the English muffin is made IN HOUSE. so if that doesn't make you order it I don't know what will. Second the egg is perfectly cooked with the yolk and bit runny. The bacon is thick and crispy and they use sharp white cheddar to pull it all in. It's so balanced and makes me say "oh yum" every time. It's also pipping hot which I don't usually find in breakfast sandwiches what are made to order. I've also tried it with turkey bacon and it's just as good. If you're in the mood for a little treat you can't go wrong with their cookies or scones. I love the chocolate chip cookie or the oatmeal cookie. They also do cream pies which are the perfect dessert. Lastly the coffee is excellent and my iced or hot vanilla latte never fails. Some fun extras is they have compostable straws(not paper), bathroom, free water, WiFi, a beverage fridge with fun bevvys, and the staff is really stellar. Makes me feel at home every time I come. If you're in the mood to start your day off right, definitely come by Bolt. 10/5 stars.“
