“The food is surprisingly excellent here and all the staff members are great. I usually just get the petite fillet and a salad. Steaks can be variable but I've always had good to outstanding pieces of meat and always cooked the way I like. Last night my wife had the Ragu Pasta and loved it. I think before trying some of the more well known steak places where prices are 30% higher I would give Empire a shot.“

“We had a nice dinner. The staff was pleasant and attentive. The cocktail specials were well done. The wine list was not particularly great if you're a wine snob. The petite filet I had was cooked perfectly and had a nice flavor. It was bigger than expected. The petite is an 8oz filet. The regular is a 12oz. It was too much for me. That would be a plus for many diners. IMO, the prices were reasonable. Worth a try!“

Tomasz, our server, is so kind, pleasant and professional, but more importantly respectful of our various dietary restrictions which were precisely executed. Tuna tartare is a must (soy on the side for us) and our favorite sides of hen of the woods mushrooms and Brussels sprouts (sans bacon). Food does not disappoint, drinks are amazing, management and staff attentive and grateful to their patrons, as it should be in every restaurant.“

“Food was good but not great. I’ve had better Italian in NYC. The service was a little odd… one waiter kept dropping cutlery and he toppled my wine glass - thank god it was empty. He didn’t even apologise; actually I don’t think he even realised his arm had brushed my glass or that the glass had toppled ??‍♀️ We had made reservations for a large group but when we got there, tables were not set and they had to scramble to push several together. Space was so tight we had literally no place to put our bags!“

“Arrived at 11:43AM and there was already a small line at the door on a rainy day. Steak and sauce was INCREDIBLE. You have the choice between rare, medium, and well NO in between. After the walnut salad appetizer, two portions of steak frites (staggered) come out, 2nd seemed a little smaller but was still a great amount of food for the cost $35 per plate. We came in with luggage and they were very accommodating despite the smaller space. Definitely want to come back again.“

The Ribeye for 2 needs two hungry stomachs, which makes it difficult to eat both of the delicious sides (spinach with garlic and fries). “We had a perfect anniversary dinner at the Capital Grille! We had the filet (Oscar style) and the lamb chops for entrees and a side of mashed potatoes. My husband said the lamb was possibly the best he had ever had! The manager came to talk to our table and was very kind and generous. We ordered the chocolate cake and they gave us an “anniversary plate” with the chocolate flour less cake and the crème brûlée. They were all delicious. We will be back!“

“We had an absolutely fantastic dining experience last night. Special thanks to John , manager, and Sam, our server. This is a classic steakhouse, in my opinion, one of the finest anywhere I've been. We first dined here 15 years ago, and my choice to celebrate my birthday yesterday. Our aged porterhouse steak was cooked to perfection, served sizzling on a platter, along with loaded baked potato. Cocktails , wine and accompaniments with dinner were all delicious. Will definitely return on future trip to NY.“
