Eden
“We recently had the pleasure of taking part in the new cellar experience at Eden Restaurant. Fantastic way to spend a relaxing hour and a half. Our host shared 4 premium wines and the kitchen drop off 4 bites that paired with the wines. We got a chance to have the resident sommelier's attention the entire time to discuss wine, the wine list and anything we felt like discussing. Well worth the money, very reasonably priced. All of this was hosted inside one of the restaurants wine cellars of course which added to the experience.”
“Absolutely recommend this place. Waiter recommended the Vilola (likely wrong name) pizza stellar. Honey and spicy oil dip as crazy as it sounds fantastic my new go to at home.Demi was on training Absolutely great job. Thanks team”
“Wow, the owner here is delicious and the food is friendly (meaning it's that delicious haha) I ordered butter chicken curry, chicken 65, and garlic naan, and it's the most delicious curry I've ever had in my life.lol.”

Brazen
“Brazen should be at the TOP of everyone’s food list in Banff. The atmosphere, wait-staff( Rylee rocked!), and Chef Dan were amazing! The food and drinks were phenomenal and first class. We ate at many restaurants in Banff and none touched the quality and taste of Brazen. We started with drinks of local beers from the rotating tap and the Garden Tea Party cocktail. We then moved on to the food portion of the meal. We had numerous dishes (mushrooms, ribs, potatoes, duck, gnocchi, and the ginger beef) and were pleased with the bold and flavorful taste of them all. We topped off the night with the house special Creme Brûlée and it was the perfect end to a delicious meal. Do yourself a favor and try this excellent restaurant!!”
“Great food and drinks and great people serving and preparing them. Try the Vegan Poutine and the King Kong Noodles. Also large servings so share with a loved one.”
“After a really long day hiking my partner and I went to The Eddie’s burger and bar to grab some drinks and burgers. It’s a small cozy spot to eat, the stay are so helpful and very friendly. Very welcoming. I got The Malibu Club burger with fried pickles and my partner got The Rocky Mountain burger with sweet potato fries. Man was it ever good! Probably the best burgers we had ever had. It’s a bit pricey but well worth it! Definitely would recommend and will come back again!”

“Quick sit down place for amazing korean street food. We got a variety of rice bowls and the hotdogs. All the rice bowls came with mandy on top of your chosen protein as well. Also, you get to put your own seasoning and sauce on your hotdogs which I found more convinient so I can decide on the spot. All the food we had were very tasty and had pretty generous portions (please keep this up!). We also tried the fried chicken - it was also very delicious. Definitely would be back next time we visit Banff. So glad to have found this gem!”
“After travelling for a while, wanted to eat simple Dhal Chawal. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. My daughter loved their chicken fried rice and chilli chicken. They even packed cutlery’s and plates for takeaway. Thanks for the home cooked meal”

“Everything is freshly made daily including the bread and English muffins used for breakfast items, to the pastries and chai tea, also serve locally brewed coffee! The breakfast sandwich was such a pleasant surprise, it seemed simple at first glance but what a perfect combination of flavors and whatever seasoning was used blew me away. We also got the avocado toast which was elevated with a poached egg, goat cheese, and balsamic on freshly baked sourdough. The homemade chai tea like the owner’s grandma used to make was amazing. I normally don’t drink chai but loved my husband’s so much I had to get my own cup. It’s just a short drive from downtown, we noticed mainly locals and regulars coming in to this husband and wife owned shop. Update: After trying some other breakfast spots in town, nothing can compete with Bare Bistro so we revisited today getting to try to eggs benedict and omelette, the sauce used for the benedict was amazing (homemade of course). We also tried some of the pastries which were all perfectly baked and delicious. We’ve tried just about everything on the menu and haven’t been disappointed in anything. We will be back tomorrow to finish trying everything (mainly pastries left). Very friendly owners and you can tell they take pride in what they do (as they should). Thank you so much Fonda and Alfredo!”

“My wife and I visited this place twice in the same weekend. Once for late night happy hour and then dinner the following night. Amazing staff, food, drink and ambiance. A MUST TRY!”

“Vegetarian options are good but lacked a bit of flavour. Overall is good to try. Problem is they don’t take reservations or take names . You have to wait in line. Worth a try if the lineup is not longVegetarian options: There are only three options- miso seems better out of three , followed by tan tan”

“Went here for the first time and it was great. Our server Beth was exceptional. Always in to top off our drinks and was super helpful when we spilled water on the table ?. you could tell they were busy but she still makes sure we had everything we needed and that food and drinks were good. Great server. Food was amazing as well. We started with the Ricotta and the carpaccio. The creaminess of the ricotta topped with honey on top was phenomenal. and the crostini that came with it were even better. The portions are very good. Carpaccio was $18 and for that price there was A LOT even for 4 people. Also, they have a great wine selection. i definitely recommend and will come back for sure!”
“Great place for quality Italian dishes.Food - Mushroom Pizza out of a wood fired oven was delicious. Dough is made fresh daily in house and you can taste it. Cacio y Pepe spaghetti were al dente and delicious.Service - Another outstanding category. From the front desk to the waitress a very attentive, fast and friendly service. Will definitely be back next time when in town.”
“Of course the food was amazing and unique but the service was just as good. We had two breakfasts and one dinner at F&F so we are convinced our experience is the norm. Our dinner server TJ was a fine young man, a great conversationalist and made an impression. We were happy to see the sous chef leading by example bringing food to the tables, bussing tables and making conversation with guests. We will be back. It is obvious there is good leadership in this restaurant. Oh, and the prices are very fair.”

“We went to Juniper Bistro for breakfast and we were served by Clarence. The food was incredible - best breakfast we’ve had in ages. We shared the avocado toast, salmon benny, and French toast. Not to mention, the latte put every coffee shop to shame! The best part though was being served by Clarence. We have two young children and he went above and beyond to keep the laughing and having a great time. I would recommend this place to ANYONE and we look forward to being back!”

Takeout Restaurants
“I now understand why some people said this place is the best. It is. The latte is very on point, pork and fennel sausage roll is heavenly. The view is great.Only thing is there is a long line, but the waiting time is short, turnover is pretty fast.”
“We arrived at 8pm and were lucky to have a seat. The taste was good, there were many types of sushi that you can't find elsewhere. Hope you guys try the smoked salmon sushi. This restaurant only offers sushi and a few side dishes. Their sushi is quite big. The price is not too expensive for a tourist town. Worth a try.”
“rare indeed to find such a gem. The room is warm and cozy. feels like the center of downtown. locals abound, mixing with visitors. Staff sets high expectations for themselves. “Delicious coffee. Tasty food. Try the seed bar! Sometimes lineups are long, for the self-serve counter, and tables are full. Crowded, basic seating, and sometimes you have to wipe your own table.”
“Delicious food, great vegetarian options and the chicken dish served on a sizzling hot plate was fantastic. Great service and very friendly staff! Thanks for the great meal!”
“I love this place I have been coming here for 18 years it is my favourite sushi in Banff. Please do yourself a favour and try their spinach gomaae and their Agedashi tofu they are my favourites. Also their tempura is the best I have had you can’t really go wrong with anything from the menu I will always get a different selection of rolls as there are so many to choose from and are all delicious. “Honestly a really good poutine! One of the best in Banff. Super friendly staff too. My boyfriend accidentally spilled his slushie and they replaced it right away and were very kind.”
“Stopped by for quick breakfast. Ordered steak sandwich, breakfast burrito, kale wild rice salad. Salad is nice. Both sandwich and burrito are well balanced in ingredients and nicely heated — definitely beats Starbucks. Recommend for a quick bit before heading out for hiking!”
“Beavertails were a must in Banff and similar to a chrurro or donut. Lots of flavor options and ice-cream to pair with. I got the maple beaver tail with the maple canoe ice-cream. Yummy treat that did not hurt my stomach after. They will give you a box if you ask. Employees seemed serious and busy.”
“Nestled in the highlands of Banff , Maclab Bistro offers an exquisite culinary journey that transcends the ordinary. During our recent visit, we indulged in an array of shareable plates and mains that left us utterly captivated. To start, the Falafel & Trio of Dips presented a tantalizing fusion of flavors. The chickpea falafel was perfectly crispy on the outside and delightfully tender on the inside, complemented by the creamy textures of hummus, ajvar, and smoked eggplant dip. The addition of garlic sauce and bursts of pomegranate seeds elevated the dish to new heights, creating a symphony of Middle Eastern flavors on the palate.Next, the Fried Halloumi Cheese & Shishito Peppers transported us to a realm of culinary bliss. The harmonious marriage of harissa maple glaze and green onions infused the crispy halloumi cheese with a delectable sweetness and a hint of spice. Each bite was a revelation, a delightful interplay of textures and tastes that left us craving for more. The Mushrooms and Truffle Oil flatbread showcased the chef's mastery of flavors and ingredients. The caramelized onions, sweet peppers, and arugula pistou danced in harmony atop a canvas of crispy flatbread, while the creamy garlic sauce and shredded mozzarella added a touch of indulgence. Every bite was a symphony of earthy flavors and delicate aromas, a testament to the Bistro's commitment to culinary excellence. For mains, the Classic Maclab Burger proved to be a culinary masterpiece in its own right. The succulent beef patty, adorned with crispy bacon, melted cheddar cheese, and a medley of mushrooms and caramelized onions, created a symphony of flavors that delighted the senses. The addition of fresh lettuce, tomatoes, dill pickle, and horseradish aioli further elevated the dish, resulting in a burger experience that was nothing short of extraordinary.Lastly, the Grilled Char Sui Tofu Bowl offered a delightful fusion of flavors and textures. The perfectly grilled char sui tofu, nestled atop a bed of sushi rice and black quinoa, was complemented by creamy avocado, tangy orange segments, and crisp carrots and cucumber. The vegan XO sauce added a depth of umami flavor, while sesame seeds and rice crisps provided a satisfying crunch. Each spoonful was a revelation, a harmonious blend of ingredients that showcased the Bistro's commitment to innovative and flavorful cuisine. In conclusion, Maclab Bistro is a culinary gem that delights the senses and captivates the palate. “Came here for a late matcha/coffee prior to a stargazing tour. It’s great that this pls e I’d still open in the evening. Indoor seating is available and it’s a cozy vibe. Credit cards are accepted. There are light snacks available in the display as well. Free WiFi available. The matcha was really tasty and they gave different milk options including oat and almond.”
“Never thought the best vegan ramen we’d have would be in Banff!! Not a lot of seating and the place gets packed around lunch/dinner time, so try to go earlier or later. Service was quick, seamless, and excellent. My fiancé and I will definitely be back ?”
“Best place to have coffee in Banff! The only place we found that used skim milk! It was an absolute relief. Cakes, scones etc might be pricey but definitely not dearer than anywhere else in Banff.Lovely customer service and they also sell a few souvenirsThey saved my life whilst staying in town for the week!Thank you to all who work there for being happy, friendly and making dam good coffee!”
“Stumbled upon this place by chance. The menu was on the smaller side but the food was delicious and authentic. The servers were very attentive. We'd love to come back!”
“I can’t say enough good things about Alpha Bistro. We stayed at RMR for a family vacation and went to Alpha Bistro for my wife’s birthday. We were initially somewhat apprehensive because it seemed quiet (off season) but Kelly made us feel so special and really hit the nail on the head. Dinner was phenomenal… we both ordered the steak. It was absolutely delicious and truly exceeded our expectations. Kelly made us laugh more than a dozen times and really made my wife feel special on her big day. We couldn’t be happier with this place. It will be a go-to for us in the future.”

“Taro and Thai milk tea with boba were so yummy! Not too sweet, just right. The boba was warm, perfect texture. Generous size for the price. Excellent customer service. Make sure to stop by if you’re in the area and want a little treat!”
“Daily happy hour from 4 to 6 p.m., good domestic Lager Beer, served from very friendly Larissa!I ordered the Beaver Burger within the Happy Hour, Jesus Christ, he was really good and enough for the rest of the day! It’s really a pleasure to spent some quality time after a hard day of skiing here and to leave a positive comment for this nice place, I enjoyed it very much!Helgo from Germany”
“Bread is good. Been buying at Safeway. I was however surprised and disappointed when I noticed the size of the loaf this morning was much smaller. I looked at the label and saw it has gone down from 850g to 650g (almost a quarter less) for the same price (so 24% price increase).”
“A must for great views of Banff town. Go before sunset to do do all the hikes and then get to watch darkness loom over Banff town and the lights glimmer.Banff gondola is run by a private company called pursuits. They do a good job of hosting different types of events yearround.I've been on the gondola in all 4 seasons. But my favourite is during fall with the leaves changing color. It is very windy on top so dress accordingly as you will be on the summit of one of the tallest mountains overlooking Banff town. They do have a gift shop selling sweaters and jackets for the naive tourists who actually dress up to get photos...then realize it's way too cold to even wear shorts here in the summertime when it's plus 30 out. There is one hike to the the stars station that has a nice long pedway for really great photos. It sometimes gets crowded but that's just how it is in a beautiful tourist town like Banff. It takes about 30 min to do the upper decks of the 4 floors of the gondola building and probably 45 min to 1 hour to do the long walk to the station. It is worth it since the views there are beautiful. There are alot of stairs but it's very easy to do. Not wheelchair or stroller friendly. It's usually around $65 to go up and down the gondola. And for the great views. It is spectacular to see. I wouldn't miss it. They do have great deals for lunch or dinner at the sky bistro and I would highly recommend eating there! It's canadian style dishes and known for bison pr salmon dishes. Enjoy your trip!”
“Was at this location last Saturday. The staff is amazing. The volume of people coming through this store was unbelievable. The smiles on the faces of the staff and how quick they got people through, just crazy. We got stuck behind some extremely rude people, who ended up not being very nice to the staff. The staff took it in stride and kept on smiling and serving. Really hope the owner/ manger knows what a unbelievable fantastic staff you have. If you are in Banff head to this ice cream shop you will not be disappointed!!”
“Good place to have a lunch or diner. The meals are big so make sure you are hungry enough if you stop by for a lunch ;) I like #2 Sweet & Sour pork. Delicious vegtables as well.”
“The ramen was not too bad. The miso broth does taste like instant noodles like others have mentioned. The tables are quite close together. The service is good though.”
“My wife and I always stay at the Canalta lodge in Banff and the Cafe is fantastic there, amazing coffee and drinks. Thank you to everyone at the Canalta you are amazing people and we appreciate all of your hard work and friendliness. You are truly an amazing group of people”
“Had a great experience at popeyes Banff! The service was great! I’m from England (so new to the menu) and the staff helped me out a lot! Making his recommendations and they did not disappoint! The chicken was juicy and crispy, the fries super tasty and the sides amazing! We definitely need more popeyes in England if this is what they’re like!”
“Great hole in the wall location to get delicious food. Service was very fast and prices reasonable. They provide basic seating for you to eat. A very non fussy place for a quick bite to eat which was what was needed.”
“Every visit, we consistently order the teriyaki chicken and teriyaki beef – they are incredibly delicious. For Banff standards, it's an affordable yet satisfying meal. The owners, both warm and charming, add to the overall welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend everyone to give it a try! Looking forward to exploring more of their offerings in the future.”
“I have got to say, I was surprised by how much I liked the chicken shawarma and donair. I was not expecting much but was pleasantly surprised by how tasty both wraps were. It was a spur of the moment decision to stop in and order food on my way by, and I am happy I made that decision. The owners were very polite and professional to boot, thanks for the yummy food!!!”
“My first time having a chicken Shawarma and I wish I had tried it sooner! As an american visiting, the price point is already great, but the quality and portion were extremely welcome! Great food, great price, and great energy! I'll definitely be coming back!”
“I ordered the bubble waffle they made it fresh took 10 minutes to make and was delicious. They have so many dishes and at a very affordable price. Most places in Banff are expensive to eat and here it is very reasonably priced and serve s delicious food. I highly recommend stopping by.”
“Good little shop. Needed a quick bite, grabbed a banana loaf. Very tasty but also a little burnt on bottom. Lattes were tasty, but a bit too foamy to obtain latte art on. Still a nice place to pop in if you need a quick bite and/or coffee!”

“Dined in last week and was greeted by the owner. We ordered tandoori chicken biryani, palak paneer and plain naan. Tandoori chicken was a bit bland and the biryani was flavorful but too soft/overcooked for my liking. However palak paneer was excellent with the naan. Prices were fair compared to other restaurants in town. Menus and decor has seen better days, but food was overall great.”
“Delicious food, great vegetarian options and the chicken dish served on a sizzling hot plate was fantastic. Great service and very friendly staff! Thanks for the great meal!”

“We went as a group after busy hour, loved the molten cake for dessert, my husband loved the soup with garlic bread. Even forgot to take the photo , I'm so focused on eating the cake.”
“Amazing place!! We went with a table of 8. It was the first time for all of us and everyone was so happy with their food and drinks! Can’t wait to come back ☺️”
“It's the cutest quirkiest little tea shop & gift room with unique stuff and really good music. Very attentive, warm, friendly staff. I never even thought about making a custom cocktail with specialty tea! That was one of the displays that takes creativity! ??? I'm a big lover of small businesses. This is one of those! Very creative. They try so hard to please and add value. Absolutely go spend your money there. You've gotta go..??”

“The food was outstanding, the service was friendly but slow, maybe under staffed for such a busy night. The maple rye was amazing, sweet but delicious. The pasta was full of flavour, and a good amount of spice.”
“My wife and I visited this place twice in the same weekend. Once for late night happy hour and then dinner the following night. Amazing staff, food, drink and ambiance. A MUST TRY!”
“Best Happy Hour in Banff. Stopped in last Saturday for a wine and pizza. I’ve tried several other Banff pizzerias Maple Leaf really outshines the competition. Great value on wine and beer as well. My new spot for an apres ski bite.”
“We visit this restaurant whenever we are in Banff. Food is delicious and authentic. You have to try the lamb.Don't miss the Greek nights- Dinner and a show. I recommend reservations on Greek night. Service is top notch.”
“Our go-to place in Banff! The food here is absolutely amazing. Their irresistible key lime pie in a jar used to be my most favorite and I miss them dearly! Also definitely a little bit on the expensive side but very bite is worth every penny.”
“(Review made April, 2024) This place is in an element of its own, with crazy options for food and some pretty special self-cook fondue meals. For finding your way around, the environment and layout of the place are mapped and on your table, as well as a drawing of the building with quotes drawn into it in various spots on the otherI'd had the Exotic Complete fondue meal using hot rocks, and they worked very well. The four course meal was great, with our table server always making sure we had ones hot enough to cook on.If you're brave enough, live a little and try the complete exotic, too!Dietary restrictions: We had the option to get things on the side as well as allergy information about the parts we couldn't, in this case for gluten-free/gluten intolerance, and were given options that let us all eat happily. I imagine this extends to the vegetarian options, too, as there was a "vegi-based" oil for the fondue as well.”
“Food was great, though I just had a typical breakfast. Service was good—though I wasn’t particularly fond of the server just tossing stuff around – like the bill. The table next to ours seems to like him though so it may have just been a preference since he does seem social. The place was spacious so I had no issues moving around.”
“Great restaurant theme, views and food! The restaurant smells delicious and the food was great. The schnitzel was one of the best. Recommended if staying at the Fairmont or in the local area.”

“Brought my school group of 38 students here and had a GREAT time with everyone. We all had delicious meals and hot bread to start with crisp salad as well. A lot of the students haven't eaten here before. However, they all loved it!”
“We’ve been to a Keg restaurant before and had high hopes. This one was hit and miss. The bread was great, the salad was ok but the mac and cheese was terrible. It was runny and had a pungent, overpowering cheese in it. We both ordered steaks. I loved the ribeye, my wife liked her filet but it was a bit undercooked and the vegetables that come with it were not seasoned. We both liked the twice baked potatoes.”
“My girlfriend and I went down to Banff for night and when we were leaving the hotel we asked the front desk where they would recommend eating breakfast and were directed here. The portions were huge, and the staff were kind and fast to serve us. The restaurant was packed and there was a line outside but moved fairly quickly the door.We went down for breakfast and it was amazing, food was soooo good.”
“Amazing place! We are huge football (soccer) fans, they put the games on for us each day we were in here with volume.Kieran and Sarah were fantastic with us, a credit to the great bar!”
“Delicious coffee. Tasty food. Try the seed bar! Sometimes lineups are long, for the self-serve counter, and tables are full. Crowded, basic seating, and sometimes you have to wipe your own table.”
“After travelling for a while, wanted to eat simple Dhal Chawal. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. My daughter loved their chicken fried rice and chilli chicken. They even packed cutlery’s and plates for takeaway. Thanks for the home cooked meal”
