“Best ceviche I have ever had - and I’m from a costal state where it’s very popular. The atmosphere was great and our waiter was awesome! I had the Masa Custed Trout - 10 out of 10!! My son had Barbaccoa quesadilla, it was great too! Little one had a bacon quesadilla he ate ALL of it shocking for put 9 yo! Seriously though, go! You won’t regret it!!“

“This is a response to Mr. Hh H post and to clear up the false claim made by him. Due to our Google business account still getting verified, we were not able to respond through that account. Will start off by saying it is not in our character to respond to the reviews because people are free to express their thoughts and opinions, but a claim like the one Mr. Hh H has made is one we can not ignore. Since it is one that can truly hurt a restaurant especially a small one like ours. In his post he said that a box of Menudo(tripe) was dropped on the ground picked up thrown into a bin taken inside to wash and sell to our customers. Then goes as far to post misleading photos of the situation. On one of the photos, it shows a gentleman sweeping the ground. Yes, he is sweeping the ground because the box of Menudo was dropped on the ground we had to pick it up. We can’t just leave food rotting on the ground, and we threw it into a bin because we had to bag it up before we toss it into the dumpster. On another photo, it shows a bin with menudo(tripe)in it. Apparently people can’t have more than one of the same items. We kept telling him that was a different batch of menudo(tripe) since we do not just order one box we order multiple batches and as well have more than one of the same bins. On a third photo, it shows the crew around the sink washing menudo(Tripe) for those who are unfamiliar with how to prep Menudo, it must be washed before we can even cook it or else it will come out with a bad odor and that was a different batch that they were working on not the one that was dropped on the ground. We tried to explain to him what was going on, we could have even showed him the trashed menudo(Tripe), but he refused to listen and just kept making threats about calling the health department which he is more than welcome to do so since we have absolutely nothing to hide and are positive we have done nothing wrong.Taqueria La Herradura has never nor would they ever serve food to the customers that has touched ground. Along with this post, I have attached a video and photo proof of the menudo that was dropped on the ground and that it was disposed of and how we still have another fresh batch as well as the multiple bins.“

“Steak, Chorizo, and Campechano tacos were very hard to beat. I went on a Saturday at 8pm and got my food within 5 minutes of ordering it. Tacos came with onions, cilantro, along with sides of red and green sauce. Great takeout or quick eat spot, got 4 tacos for $12. Highly recommend Tacos El Guero.“

“Stopped in on trip to Birmingham and were pleasantly surprised at our good luck. The food was nicely presented and delicious. We had combo plates with chicken and it was moist and tender. Chips and salsa was spicy and delicious. Quicamole Mexican was fresh, made with chunks of avocado, onions, tomato, and cilantro. We will be back.“

I got the green and red sauce (2 each provided) for 8 tacos; oh, and a steak burrito w/o beans. Was not very satisfying for the money spent. Please ask for a LOT of sauce if you get this order...I mean a lot.“

“The food was hot and flavorful and didn't take too long to prepare. The chimichanga was nicely browned/ crisp as I like it. The chicken was shredded thoroughly and was tender and juicy with a hint of pepper heat , with only sparse pieces mingled in the filling.The prices for the lunch special were reasonable. I believe that this dish, which comes with rice and beans, is usually covered in cheese alone, though they happily added tomatoes for me. The cashier served me and another couple who ate in, and several customers picked up lunch orders. I believe the chandeliers must be remnants of the old Hickory House that originally occupied that building as they clash a bit aesthetically with the heavy and brightly painted ,carved furniture. The bench sit was very comfortable. The large space filled with light. But there seemed to be a bit of a cold draft nearest the windows. It's hard to tell, though, as the ceiling fans were still all running on high up in the high ceiling . I was especially pleased with the flavorful rice as it is the first I've ever had at any Mexican restaurant that was spiced/tomato sauced heavy enough. Overall, I believe I will visit again when in the area.“

“Best tacos hands down. Tacos are always packed with lots of meat and served w/ grilled nopales (cactus) and cebollita taquera(green onion). They give you green and red salsa bottles to take to your table to enjoy throughout your meal. For drinks they offer Jarritos or agua frescas. Aside from tacos they also have quesadillas, pambazos, burritos, etc.“
