“Went to Amore tonight for our anniversary dinner. Our waiter, Robert, was outstanding explaining the specials of the day and suggesting a great wine which really complimented our dinner of shrimp and lobster linguine which was cooked to perfection. Our dessert of crème brûlée was spectacular! The best meal we have had in a while and I highly recommend Amore for a truly enjoyable experience.“

“We went to Magnolia Point for the first time last night and are so glad we did. The food was delicious, service fast and attentive and the prices very reasonable. It’s a great place to take kids because it’s got lots of food they would like (fish tocos, hamburgers, etc) and not too fancy. There’s also a great outdoor patio that we cant wait to try. “All was wonderful however it was a bit noisy in the restaurant. Food, service ambience all was perfect. We took a couple with us there for their first visit, however it was hard for us to carry on a conversation due to the level of noise from other tables. Not from noise from the restaurant itself, just other people in the place. Maybe if the tables weren't so close together it would be better.“

“This is one of the hidden gems in town! Always fantastic food and I eat here at least twice a week. The service is outstanding and always friendly. Sue the hostess that works the door is amazing. “A friend brought me to dinner here tonight. I relocated to Birmingham a few years ago and had been meaning to dine with you so when my friend asked where I said ‘The Fish Market.’ Well, not only was the food fantastic but your staff was incredible. Our server was a lady named Precious. I have never felt such hospitality from a server. It is hard to describe but she made me feel as though she was eager to help yet didn’t want us feel rushed. It was a genuinely wonderful dining experience and I’m not one to yammer on with recommendations. 😂 Additionally, the bartender (my apologies but I didn’t get her name) delivered my drink to ensure it did not get watered down. That level of service is practically unmatched. Please know you have two wonderful team members in Precious and the bartender. Well done!“

The food is absolutely amazing! they've got a beautiful waitress as well, she's always really kind and really sweet and really outgoing, very personable. she's very knowledgeable of the menu, always has a smile on her face and always makes you feel like your family when you come in. the prices are really great as well. there's nowhere else you can go to get an entree for $15.99, that's about average at location. you can't go to McDonald's for that. great food, great fun, great times, and I look forward each time that I go. Little Caesars hot and ready ain't got nothing on them. And speedy too. Don't go there stressing them out like that being rude because it ain't that serious. They are genuinely nice people. Their customer service skills puts chick fila to shame. Don't be in a rush when you go because you will wait a few minutes because they are cooking your food fresh for you. I bought a family-pack of fish for guests that I did not know were coming over. I needed a quick solution. The guests loved the food so much, one of them called me weeks later wanting info on the restaurant because she started craving the food.

“I was scared to stop by this restaurant because of the reviews I have read on here but I walked in spoke to the Asian lady and she spoke back .I came back the next week and the same lady took my order .I speak put in my order and wait while it's cooked fresh .The two young African American ladies I encounter has been nice and polite . I'm not sure if they read your reviews and changed but I haven't had not one problem and the food has bern hot and Delicious. I Pray it stays this way“

“Went to 2 different locations before visiting Prive/Palace. You get entry to the restaurant for free and the club in back for $10. Security will check you before entering and parking spaces were nice.

The bartender was very nice and the people eating were also very nice. We ate wings, fries, catfish nuggets and had some drinks in between visits to the back club“

“We had a phenomenal dinner at Brock’s. Huge shoutout to Chef Mark and our server, Diamond!!

Almost as soon as we were seated, the manager came over to talk to me about my dietary restriction. He explained that Chef Mark had seen the note on my reservation that I can’t have added salt and had already taken it into consideration. What really blew me away was that they actually went out of their way to prepare a special potato au gratin for me with no added salt. That kind of thoughtfulness and attention is so rare, and it meant more to me than they probably realized.

Chef Mark is truly AMAZING. My filet mignon was cooked absolutely perfectly. It was incredibly tender, flavorful, and honestly one of the best steaks I’ve had, even without added salt. The asparagus was also cooked perfectly, and the special potatoes were unbelievably delicious. It takes a truly talented chef to make food taste that good while working around a restriction, and Chef Mark absolutely nailed it.

And then there was Diamond, who made the whole experience even better. She was fantastic! She was attentive, funny, personable, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. She took the time to give us detailed descriptions of different dishes and told us which ones were her personal favorites, which we absolutely love when a server does. It made the experience feel much more personal rather than just ordering off a menu.

Between Chef Mark’s incredible care and talent, Diamond’s wonderful service, and the manager making a point to personally check in with us, we felt genuinely taken care of from the moment we sat down. Brock’s should be very proud of this team. We will absolutely be back!“

“Don’t focus on the 2 stars for atmosphere, unless you’d rather pay for ambience than for good food. The thing that first hooked me on Yoe Express was their coconut soup. Even on that visit I noticed the good price for their lunch specials (which appear to be available at other times as well). So on my next visit I decided to try the black pepper chicken. It was really good, AND the portions of the chicken and the fried rice were large enough that I ate half and took the rest home for dinner. I’ll be back again and again to try the other dishes. Back to the prices - with meal prices going up and up at other restaurants I go to, it’s nice to see Yoe not following suit. You can still get a generous meal of good food for a reasonable price. If you live in Homewood, you owe it to yourself, and to the good folks at Yoe Express, to support this establishment. If you don’t live in Homewood, get in the car and drive there to check it out; it won’t be your last time.“

“I work for The Dinner Detective and this venue hosts us 2-4 times a month. I cannot brag on the staff enough! From Todd at the door knowing each one of us and doing anything he can to help, to the front desk staff willing to print things for us or locate someone if we need them, to Bill always smiling and being friendly. But the real MVP’s are Jarvis and Damien with the staff that serves the meals and makes sure our guests receive the best experience during dinner. Damien is always there and works so hard. He knows his stuff and makes sure we have everything we need. Jarvis is so friendly and helpful. He has been so patient and dedicated as we have worked in this new partnership and has helped us troubleshoot and work through things all with a smile on his face. Without Damien and Jarvis, we would have been in a mess a few different times. They are amazing! ❤️❤️❤️❤️“

On to the good... Mel was our server and made us feel welcome, and was a great server!

We split the $25 half pound steamed shrimp and crab bag. Well worth it. Everything was cooked well and the sauces and seasoning was on point.

The food (fried okra) was hot and delicious. Oh, and my drinks (Kettle1,cranberry, and pineapple) were absolutely delicious x3. They were the right temp, evenly mixed, and definitely Not watered down. Everything was cooked to order, so u know it's fresh....All and all everything was great!
