“Best Ling Cod and Chips i have had in a long time. Very crisp tempura like batter, not greasy. Large thick portions of very fresh Ling Cod that melted in your mouth. Fries were also very good. The only thing that would make this place better is being on the waters edge, not a parking lot. But it certainly won't stop me from going back. Two thumbs up!”

“This place is a MUST try! We went for dinner tonight and the food had so much flavour, presented well and service was on point. Lynn was attentive and made the experience memorable. My husband had the braised beef and I had the wild mushroom ravioli. Portions were generous and meat was cooked to perfection. “Nov 2025 - What a great burger. Vegan options for vegans. Everything was bang on however the vegan cheese could improve. Something that melts and has flavour. I know its tough finding the right one but even Daiya would be a better choice in my opinion. I encourage you to talk to Daiya, they will give you samples. Get customer feedback.

As for us, we are lactose intolerant - there are naturally lactose free cheeses out there with no milk ingredients and as long as they are aged appropriately, the lactose gets converted to lactic acid making it digestable for all. For a premium burger, the cheese must be premium for all too imo. I encourage you to talk to a cheese crafter and to find a new vegan cheese. Oh yeah, have an ingredients list handy for everything you serve for people with allergies. We appreciate that more than you know. That sauce is superb by the way. Great job having two options for the same dip. The bun, mmmm, patty, mmmm, like its 99 percent perfect! This is honest constructive feedback because we enjoyed everything else! We care for you and your success and nothing less! After these slight modifications, your unstoppable and noone can compete. Lets go!”

Beef wellington 9/10; my husband is obsessed with the idea of beef Wellington's after seeing it on a tv show. We tried it at the Gordon Ramsay and was very disappointed. This one did not disappoint. Husband loved it.

Garlic bread & creme brulee: 6/10. Average can be skipped

“We have gone 3 times and absolutely love it. We have shared food between my family of 5 and our teens loved it all, both times!! My Husband and I have gone on our own and ended up sharing our meals, they were both sooo good!!!!
I have gluten sensitivity and my tummy does not feel a thing after eating here. Fresh, full of flavor and the staff are all so lovely and always checking on us at the perfect time.
We have had the salads, pizza, pasta, dessert and Espresso. The atmosphere is so great, we found ourselves watching the ovens and prep corner and you feel the business but it has never gotten loud or hard to hear.”

“This is my second time coming to sweet talk, the previous time I had a mini egg donut, this time I had their egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. I must say they were both amazing, and the prices are very affordable! All of their products are homemade. The atmosphere was very bright, cozy and inviting. The bathrooms were very clean and nice smelling( including the hand soap). when I walked in, I was greeted by Kate who not only told me about all the products but we ended up having a full on conversation! It was very pleasant talking with her, Kate brang my food to me plus asked if I wanted anything else. This is the true meaning of customer service; these days it’s hard to find! “I’ve been a semi-frequent customer at the Kokomo locations in Vancouver, but this was my first time at the Port Moody location. I stopped for a quick lunch and got the bean burrito. I’ve really enjoyed everything I’ve tried at Kokomo and this was no exception. The burrito was flavourful and very filling. More complex flavours than the usual Southwest-style bean burrito.
Good vibes. The staff person up front was very friendly and always had a smile. The store design is bright and fun, and the tables were kept clean.
Vegans, vegetarians, or those inclined toward plant-based eating will most appreciate Kokomo, but the food is interesting and objectively good enough the I’d recommend it to anyone looking for something healthy but inspired.”

“Little Beans has been an absolute lifesaver for our family. We’ve been coming here for years and use it both as a drop-in daycare and a play cafe, and honestly, I can’t imagine a better setup for parents who work remotely.

If you have a child who’s a bit hesitant about traditional daycare, and you have the flexibility to work nearby, this place is unbeatable. The space is warm, calm, and genuinely welcoming. The coffee and food are great, and it’s incredibly easy to set up a comfortable remote work station while knowing your child is happy and well cared for just steps away.

What really sets Little Beans apart, though, is the staff. The daycare is run by an amazing group of gentle, caring young women who are clearly passionate about children. They’re fun, patient, and incredibly tuned in, meeting each child exactly where they’re at. They follow modern early childhood education best practices, but in a way that feels natural, warm, and human, not rigid or institutional.

We couldn’t be happier bringing our daughter here, and we genuinely feel lucky to have access to something this special. It’s rare to find a place that supports both kids and parents so thoughtfully. Hands down the best place I’ve ever worked remotely, and I really wish more people knew about this incredible setup.”

“My experience is pretty good. I was greeted by a pink haired little lady who greeted me with a smile and was so excellent at quick conversation. I wish I got her name, but I’m pretty sure it was Micaela, because I heard a server calling her that. Our server, I believe was Jamie, was exemplary at quickly giving us our food while multitasking all of his other tables. The only thing I could complain about was the prices of the food, but the food was so. Dang. Good. I think overall the staff is what makes the experience and this time; I think the staff made the experience not only great but perfect. Amazing atmosphere as well, definitely come here for a good photo with your friends.”

“Delicious food and good service. Thai ladies running the restaurant do a great job. We had chicken in peanut sauce (which was a speciality) and a prawn dish, both wonderful. Easy to find on the main road near moody centre skyrail. The decor of the restaurant itself was a bit lacking but the food was great. Highly recommend!”

“It is not a typical restaurant you would chose but we heard good things about the menue, quality and price ratio and gave it a try. The chicken corn soup was a warm hug on a cold and rainy day. Just like my grandmother would have made it. The hotpot dish was a nice crowning to keep the heat in the body. The flavourful combination of tofu,meat, aubergine and spice was great the dessert of mango pudding and the redbean dessert gave it a nice round up to the already hearty meal. The journey from north Vancouver was worth it.”

“UPDATE : OCTOBER 17 /25 I thought I’d give an updated review of this place that I’ve been coming for years. The staff and the owner are always spot on fantastic. The food is always incredible one of the best Indian cuisines and all of the lower mainland.

If you have not tried this place do yourself a favour and visit you will not be disappointed! There is a reason why I drive all the way from Brentwood Burnaby area over and over again lol

“I’ve been going to JJ bean for a long time now. The food is delicious- there are many different options based on your dietary needs. The espresso is incredible- so flavourful! However, this review is for Jordan! She’s such a thoughtful manager- I called this morning with an issue of my pre bought espresso. She not only recommended I come back to the store to get what I needed. She then proceeded to find a solution with my espresso maker so I didn’t need to come down and make the switch. Jordan is incredibly knowledgeable, professional and kind. Whether you're there for the food or the coffee or the people- it’s a great atmosphere!”

“The Port Moody Boathouse is a neighbourhood gem with great views of the inlet. We dined here on a Friday evening during "Dine Out Vancouver" and ordered the set menu. Our son had the fish and chips. He said it was one of the only places he knows that serves halibut as the fish. My seafood chowder was runny and not that appealing although it did contain lots of seafood bits. I do a better version at home from an old East coast recipe. My Thai black cod was good and my lava cake was just OK; the vanilla ice cream saved it. My wife has the steak frites done medium rare and it was spot on. We like this restaurant and will go back again.”
