“Bowl'd Korean Restaurant in Alameda South Shore Center is under the new management, but with the same owner as Ohgane Korean BBQ.New Chef Stella has created a new menu features $5 Happy Hour and Korean street food with variety selections of smaller portions at very reasonable prices. Lunch menu is more healthy choices. The best thing in the menu that you can come in for a smaller portions at less expensive prices or a larger family menu.Aaron the new manager who previously worked at Ohgane has led the team to the next level. Professional, polite, attentive service with detail.Great selections of Korean soju (Korean vodka), a variety of tap beers and wines.Parking: Park anywhere around South Shore Center“
“The Vons Chicken is so delicious. If you like spicy, yangnyum should be your go to wing flavor. If you prefer no spice, I’m a big fan of the padak wings. They’re always pretty quick. The only challenge with this place is that it’s kind of a Vons ghost kitchen (you can’t eat it there). Just plan to take your wings home or to the nearby Crown Memorial Beach Park or something and you’re all set!“
“I like Koja Kitchens, I've been to several locations around the Bay Area. There used to be one in Walnut Creek but that one recently closed down.I enjoy eating their koja's, which are burgers made with patties of rice which are fried. I usually eat the short rib or pork koja's.I also love fries or most items in potato form, their fries (waffle cut fries) with different meats are flavorful but you'll want to eat them with a fork.At this Koja Kitchen, which is in the Alameda Landing Shopping Area, their staff are pretty efficient with taking and turning around orders even around lunch time. They have some seating but there's also spaces to eat outside in the shopping center.“
“Solid place, but not all that special. Maybe I didn't order any of their really unique stuff, so that's on me. I like that they have a wide variety of hot sauces.I don't really like that between credit card fees, a 18 percent default tip, and the tip being calculated after tax and fees, things cost like 36 percent more than their listed price (rather than the standard 25).“
“We just got delivery and everything is really delicious and beautiful. My spouse who despises kabocha thinks the banchan kabocha, lightly yuzu-citrus flavored, is the best he’s ever had. Bummer we live in Los Angeles or we would be back frequently.“
“They have really pretty outdoor seating. The banchan is excellent (like some of the best ive had). The service was excellent. The main dishes I got were not very good, tofu stew was a little bland and they don’t have bibimbap, only stir fried veggies and meat over rice.Overall I really like this place but would order something different next time.“
“My cousin showed me this place and I fell in love! They always have k-pop playing and the corn dogs are so mouth watering good!Vegetarian options: They have dogs that don't have any meat in themParking: It's Berkley. The parking here is tough to find“
“Such a great spot. Been here a few times and the owner is super friendly, clearly cares about every detail. Food is amazing, everything I’ve had has been awesome. It’s the kind of place I really hope sticks around, they deserve it. Highly recommended.“
“Best KFC in oakland hands down!! Everyone is super friendly and was so welcoming! I got the soy garlic chicken and the spicy rice cakes and it was so crispy and juicy! i love supporting small businesses and i cant wait to come back and try other things on the menu!!“
“Their food never lacks flavor and they're very kind and sweet to their customers. The setting is also extremely welcoming and they appear to be extremely clean as well even having separate containers for touched and untouched pens. Just overall amazing. I've even put in the effort to learn a bit of Korean to thank them for a consistently delicious food.“
