“The best spicy Chinese Food in OC/LA area hands down! They have been Michelin recommended for a reason. Their food has lots of depth of umami flavors with a good amount of spice with a refined touch. Their none spicy broths are especially good too. My faves are their dry pots, toothpick lambs, Qiao Jiao Beef. We also like their spicy ribs and boiled fish in chilli sauce, and Mao cai. Service is great too!”
“This is the best Chinese dinning experiences I have ever had; hands down. Food was off the charts. The wine pairing was perfect. The experience was first class.”

“We had a great Mommy outing. The glass partitions made us feel safe.”
“Eat here every time in LA ..... Twice this week. Best Sichuan Food Spot in North America..... Period. Enough said!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
O yeah..... Lip smacking good. Always feel like a winner....eating here.”
“Free Spirited Bar is an absolute gem. It is incredibly refreshing to walk into a restaurant where the entire menu is vegan by default (they do offer an option to add halal chicken if desired), a total 180 from the usual experience of hunting for that one token plant-based option.
As a group with diverse dietary needs, we were blown away by how seamlessly accommodating they were. We ordered the Alfredo pasta with mushrooms, the marinara pasta, and the buttered scallops, finishing off with the Dirt Coupe mousse for dessert. Every single dish was amazing. The pasta is made in house, and most menu items are made from scratch. A special shout out goes to the gluten-free bread, it was so outstanding we completely forgot it was gluten-free.
It is a sober bar, they don't even have alcohol in their vanilla extract. However, their non-alcoholic cocktail list is extensive. We tried about eight different drinks among us, and each one featured incredibly unique flavor combinations and beautiful presentation.
The owners are so sweet and clearly understand dietary restrictions on a personal level. They took the time to patiently explain everything and made us feel completely at home. I don't live locally, but you can bet Free Spirited Bar will be my go-to spot anytime I’m in town!
Forgot to add they are dogs friendly and will even bring you out a water bowl for them.”

“This review is long overdue. I visited Alhambra several months ago and decided to eat at Xiang La Hui after weighing all of my dining options that evening. I'm glad I did because it was a great experience. Even after all of these months I'm still thinking about the food! Everything was hot, nicely plated, and tasted just right. Flavors were nicely balanced and entrees are sizable. I felt like I got my money's worth. The service was nice too. You feel welcomed as a customer and aren't rushed, which I appreciate.
If you live close to this restaurant, or are planning to visit or pass through Alhambra, then I recommend giving Xiang La Hui a try. I'd eat here more often if I could! I'll certainly go back someday.”
“Food drooling good. Just amazing. Service is okay atmosphere is also just okay. For what the restuant is the food is surprisingly good. Easily one of the best resturants I've been to locally. Pointing more expensive than your average food but definitely worth the price. Food quality is amazing and whatever they do in there has to be magic. Absolutely delicious. Banger everytime”
“We had the **Crab Roe Noodles** and the **Crab Soup Dumplings**, and both were absolutely worth ordering.
The **Crab Roe Noodles** were rich, buttery, and packed with umami. The crab roe coated every strand of noodle beautifully, creating a silky texture without feeling overly heavy. You could really taste the quality of the ingredients.
The **Crab Soup Dumplings** were equally impressive. The wrapper was delicate, and each dumpling was filled with a flavorful, savory broth and a generous amount of crab. Every bite was comforting and satisfying.
The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, the service was friendly, and the food felt thoughtfully prepared. If you're a fan of crab or Shanghainese cuisine, Auntie Qiu Kitchen is definitely a place I'd recommend. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu!”

“Wanted to check this place out with my boyfriend. It was poppin on a Saturday night, which is a good sign. We got the house eggrolls, the Kobe syle beef pho and the Filet Mignon pho with the original noodle (you have an option for a fresh fatter noodle) Beyond delicious!!! The broth and meat was so flavorful
The service was very fast. I have a sensitive stomach so I probably should have avoided the egg rolls because I dont do well with certain oils and fried food but they were so freaking good. Definitely recommend this spot for amazing pho. The other dishes people were ordering that I was able to see looked really good too.”
“Patisserie Too is such a hidden gem! Everything looked fresh and beautifully made. The egg tart was crispy, flaky, and had a smooth, creamy filling. I also loved the coconut tart and caramel croissant tart—both were delicious without being overly sweet. The staff were friendly, and the prices were surprisingly affordable. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more pastries. Highly recommend if you’re looking for great baked treats!”
“To be fair, I only gave 3 stars for the food because I had diarrhea after I got home. My wife was ok but she always had a stronger stomach. The food and drinks were actually very good. I like the decor and music and the service was above average. There are ample parking in the back.”
“Take it before rob my daughter this time. It's amazing place at a great place. A nice surrounding neighborhood Also , if you wanna take a walk for our movie or get some snacks after”
“Let me just say that Andrew who runs Ohana Brewing Company is an amazing person. It’s clear he has a passion for both brewing and making guests feel welcome. The way he shares his knowledge about the beers and their brewing process adds a personal touch that really enhances the experience. Whether you're a craft beer enthusiast or just looking for a chill spot to unwind, Ohana Brewing Co. hits the mark. The space is cozy, and the selection is varied enough to keep things interesting—whether you’re into hoppy IPAs, smooth stouts, or something in between. It’s a perfect local spot to enjoy a drink, relax, and chat with friends or even meet new people. Highly recommend it if you’re in the area!”

“Came to You to pick up some Northern Chinese breads and wow, we devoured. The beef roll, green onion pancake, and sesame Chinese pancake (which was made fresh to order hence the 25 minute wait) were all so flavorful — I felt like I was back in my Nai Nai’s kitchen! The textures were perfect, especially the green onion pancake with its mochi-like pull. Will definitely be back to try more of their menu!”
“1st time at this restaurant and have to say the food was delicious and well made. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful with explaining what comes in their food. There veggie dumplings were amazing aswell as everything else i ordered. Will definitely be going back”
“Delicious food and good service.”
“best indian restaurant in Alhambra.”
“went for lunch today, ordered some chillaquillas got home terrible a plate full of chips n green sauce terrible. also ordered a grilled cheese for the grandbaby gpt home literally was a small square of cheese in the middle.of the bread maybe like 2x2 slice. Needless to say I returned for a refund cause I'm not paying top dollar for food I wouldn't even feed my dog. The guy said the owner Rola didn't want to give me a refund but decided too lol n than minus the tax I paid!!!! so ur gonna keep taxes on food I ordered yet I returned the garbage. This burger spot used to b teh business back in the day I will not spend a dime ther ever again!!!”
“Craving some hard shell shrimp tacos, found this spot with the same name of a spot by my house. It was empty when we arrived ordered 6 shrimp tacos 28 bucks later, I received the tacos the looked very delicious they were too, but the over sauce made them so messy and mushy to eat ended up being a soggy tostada. Service was ok, not over the top and location and ambiance is good, it was getting packed but they do have plenty of seating on both sides of restaurant overall will come back but definitely try something else.”
“Drinks were decently priced but it was also happy hour. Atmosphere is great, a bit dark for no live entertainment but the ambiance was nice. The Alice in Wonderland esthetic was cool. No karaoke anymore unfortunately which is why I went but is ripe for some type of entertainment DJ, Comedy, or Karaoke night would set this place off imo. That aside, nice place!”
“This isn't the Taiwanese 永和豆浆 Yong He Dou Jiang you might be expecting. This spot offers a broad menu of various Chinese cuisines. I just tried 豆皮 bean curd (cuisine from Hubei) for the first time. It was an interesting dish with a bean curd and egg mix topping over sticky rice, meat, tiny shrimp, and cilantro. I like the bean curd and egg mixture and want to try my hand at making it at home. 👍”
“The food is good but very little seating and made us move seat to the counter since one of our members still didn’t arrive. But the food is very good. I got the lunch special chicken a lai king very yummy and creamy!”

24 Hour Restaurants
“The Thursday - Sunday late evening/overnight staff is amazing! I've been coming here pretty much weekly since July 2021 and they have become like family, especially our regular server Lupe. The night manager is cool and when he gets on the stove his food is out of this world! They got a new cook a few months ago and they are great with consistently producing comfort, especially the fries (and I'm VERY picky about my fry consistency).”
“Placed order using the mobile app. Made some customized changes which were not followed correctly. Both Jumbo Jack burgers were made exactly the same. Was able to take off items that were not wanted. However, the burger was missing the ketchup and mayonnaise which was requested. Had to add those condiments using what I had at home.”
“If you are in the San Gabriel Valley area you must stop here if you want amazing Sashimi. Started with fatty Tuna that melted in my mouth so fresh delicious then moved on to giant Clams (Mirugai) it was sweet & crunchy I could have gone for second order not many sushi restaurants have (Mirugai)The fatty belly Salmon was buttery & the spicy Tuna hand roll sashimi was perfect coz I’m a spicy food addict it was just heavenly for me. Yum yum 🤤 ended with Kumamoto Oyster 🦪 it was so sweet like cotton candy in your mouth made me wanting more which I did order more. Lol 😂 The house hot Sake was good for a cold night paired so well with my amazing Sashimi! Great way to end my Friday night here! Thank you Chef!”
“the pizza is ausome been going to Angelo's pizza many years ago and it still the same”
“It's pretty dark and loud inside during dinner. Even during the day, it can be loud and you have to speak up to hear across the table. Food is tasty but can come out show during lunch or dinner rush. I like their pass around family style rolls meal option for ordering. It does it a little pricey, but I think the portion and fish-to-rice ratio is great. Definitely take advantage of the happy hour deals!”

“The place has authentic Indonesian taste on their food. Expect self-service and to-go, but the place has a good seatings lay-out if you want to eat there, and you’ll be satisfied with the food. All food we ordered came out great, fresh, tasty. Try their fried duck, corned beef fried rice, prawn stinky bean, tempeh mendoan, and fried chicken.”
“Nem Nướng Khánh Hoà is widely praised for its authentic Vietnamese cuisine and warm atmosphere. The restaurant’s specialty is nem nuong cuon, a dish of grilled pork meatballs wrapped in rice paper and served with fresh herbs and vegetables. The dish stands out for its flavorful, fresh grilled pork and the crunchy texture of the accompanying ingredients”

“Only got take out so can't comment on the service but my interaction told me it is about what you can expect from most places in SGV. Don't judge this place by its cover. Food is really well made. This is going to be my go to place for dumpling and Beijing pie takeout.”

“My wife and I shared a beef burrito, and the Carne Asada salad. The dressing to the salad was really tasty, and the steak was better prepared than a steak I had any fancy restaurant last weekend. The burrito was just simple goodness … not too fancy or over done. This is a family owned business that supports the community. Support them … take the family to lunch or dinner You won’t be disappointed!”
“The pork chop dish was delicious and so tender. Generous portions and reasonable prices.”

“So I think the name has changed and it's called E&J Pinoy BBQ now. And the prices have gone up from the menu that is shown, I only found out when I paid.
Ordered their combo #2 for a party and it was a great amount of food. The chicken teriyaki was super tender and the pork belly was great too except the skin was a little hard. The chicken inasal leg and thigh was good as well! Would try again.”
“「鴻豐尚品」
Originally I was here to park my car and wanted to have lunch at other restaurant nearby. But the sign shows “parking Lot is for customer only”. That’s the reason why I have my lunch here.
I am very pleased with the amazing dim sum and the old-time atmosphere. The portion of food is huge and the price is reasonable. Definitely I’ll come back again!”
“Just had the sunrise breakfast sandwiches & coffee for 6.99 for the 10th time - melted cheese, good amount of egg, perfect crisp & amazing price. It hit the spot so well this time I had to leave them a review. Thanks Ernie’s for making real food and letting me avoid McDonald’s 🤣 PS Call ahead your order for quick in and out”
“I love the food my favorite is the linguine clams which is made with a white wine sauce but you can ask for red if you desire. Everywhere you go now a days is expensive but at least portions are large and shareable. It surprises me to read the reviews and see that people enjoyed the Tyson frozen wings they use to serve at Vittoria’s for years. I also would like to note that I love the antipasto salad and it doesn’t have only one meat as I read on one of the reviews. Also everywhere that has delivery service charges more when ordered on the app. Update: they are no longer charging for water. I can say that yes they are short staffed sometimes as well as many other restaurants have been ever since COVID. I really love the service and I will continue to be a customer for many years!! It always amazes me that people can’t see when it’s busy and aren’t understanding.”
“I had barbacoa tacos and the tacos dorados de barbacoa and both were SO good! I went in twice and the guys that were working we very kind and friendly! Nice vibes all around for El Vaquerito. Thank you!
If I ever come back to visit the area I will definitely stop by again!”
“JayDees is a dive bar that has good food & great drink prices! There's no need for happy hour, when your there prices are always low! It's one reason you'll see alot of old timers there having a blast. It's affordable. Good vibes/Good atmosphere”
“I’ve brought many friends here, and every one of them has said the food is great. I highly recommend this place—it’s perfect for treating friends to a meal here.”
Cheap Eats
“This is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants, especially when I'm craving a great chicken and rice dish. They make it incredibly well, and what keeps me coming back is the consistency. I've been eating here since high school, and the flavor has remained exactly the same over the years—a rare quality that speaks to how much care they put into their food.
The restaurant has a warm, family-owned atmosphere that makes you feel welcome every time you visit. It's the kind of place that has built a loyal customer base through good food, friendly service, and reliability. If you're looking for a comforting meal with flavors you can count on, this spot is definitely worth a visit.”
“Needed something warm and soupy for the rainy day. Find this spot on a whim and I gotta say I'm so dang lucky I decided to eat here. I ordered the rattan noodles and they were deliciously spicy. I usually eat medium to low spice but this was perfect. I'm a new fan!”
“This place has consistently excellent drinks and service, including good managers. They use quality ingredients that make you never want to go anywhere else once you've tried 7 leaves. Their matcha is my favorite in the SGV and you get more than double for the same price as starbucks. It's such a good deal.”
“I’m so happy I got to enjoy such authentic hand-grabbed lamb here. The portions are very generous. I was about to order a few more dishes, but the owner kindly let me know it would be too much, I still want to try more items, definitely be back next time!”

“Love the style of the cafe, and the coffee is delicious, so well balanced not too sweet not too strong. Very good simple coffee one of my favorites for sure. Came in on a hot day & the cool atmosphere felt great to sip on an iced latte! Banana bread also a plus”
“The absolute best For The Win location, hands down! 🏆
I’m already a huge fan, but this specific spot nails the perfect smash burger every single time... incredibly juicy. The staff here is also friendly, fast, and attentive. If you’re in the area and craving a burger done right, don't even hesitate. 10/10!”
“A down-home Mexican food experience run by nice women with good kind of spicy steak picado and rice and beans and corn tortillas for a good price. and the people running the very interesting sweet shop that it is inside were kind enough to turn down the loud disco music they were playing.”
“My husband and I were looking for a new place to try and came across this suggestion via Yelp. We will definitely be coming back. Only dislikes were, we didn't care for the pancakes. They tasted funny and texture was not normal. The breakfast potatoes lacked seasoning and veggies were not fully cooked, but can be fixed.”
“We ordered the beef hot pot$68?, it comes with some complimentary beef and vegetables, and we order ordered two additional dishes of beef and a noodle each around ?$14? which is reasonable to me. We also ordered some cold dishes.
The chicken cold dish is good not greasy or oily, the meatball in the beef pot taste good, meat is fresh.
Total cost is 169 before tip, but we still have some dishes didn't even put it in Because we are full. Basically, we could of only spent 130 or less for two dudes.”
“This review has been a long time coming as I've come back multiple times... I love this bakery! The staff here is always welcoming, helpful and gives me the best suggestions when it comes to their seasonal or for a drink I haven't tried. They always have a great vibe going on in here.
Personally their lattes are great and their pastries are so yummy. You can just tell that the bakers put their best work into it. I'm always a sucker for the choco cookie.
Super bummed I couldn't make it for their mango mochi release but it looked so good! Kudos and props to the Re Bakesic team for always caring and acting in the interest of their customers.”
“Beat boba milk tea. 😀😀😀😀”
“Was in the area for lunch so stopped by for some boba here since I never tried. They have plenty of seating inside and is very nicely decorated. There is no kiosk to order so you have to line up or use their mobile app. The line wasn't too bad and waited around ten minutes. I ordered the Osmanthus Oolong with cream, less ice and 30% sugar. The girl at the counter was friendly when she took my order.
They were busy so drinks took 15 or 20 minutes to be ready. They put the drink in a cute little sleeve with a strap so its easier to hold. The osmanthus flavor was fragrant and nicely went with the oolong so it wasn't bitter. The cream on top was a bit average and didn't taste that good with the osmanthus oolong since it covered the osmanthus taste a bit. The cream is like coffee cream and not like the sea salt cream I kind of expected, which was my fault. However, the tea quality was good and authentic. Next time I will not be getting the cream with my tea so I can fully enjoy the tea.”
“Delicious & authentic Cantonese and Vietnamese cuisine! Everything was so fresh and well prepared. Service was spectacular!”
