“The best spicy Chinese Food in OC/LA area hands down! They have been Michelin recommended for a reason. Their food has lots of depth of umami flavors with a good amount of spice with a refined touch. Their none spicy broths are especially good too. My faves are their dry pots, toothpick lambs, Qiao Jiao Beef. We also like their spicy ribs and boiled fish in chilli sauce, and Mao cai. Service is great too!”
“Delicious & authentic Cantonese and Vietnamese cuisine! Everything was so fresh and well prepared. Service was spectacular!”
“this is a must try. it is one of my favorite places in the SGV and is easily the best sichuan restaurant i have ever been to. i strongly recommend the zajiangmian, and all of the cold dishes. the sliced pork with garlic sauce is standout. i have not tried much else from their menu yet, but i would feel confident ordering any dish. the portions are generous and the pricing is fair. if you like sichuan food, get in your car right now and get over here. it’s worth it.”

“Our group ordered eight different meals;
Each one is delicious,
I especially like their fried noodles,
The taste and texture are great,
The texture of the noodles is like Taiwanese pasta.
The price is also cheap,
The attitude and service of the service staff are also very good!

“Was trying to find a place for lunch on a random weekday. This place is excellent. Give the small hole in the wall vibe but inside is pretty spacious and clean. Staff is friendly and the food is excellent.
I will say parking can be difficult but that shouldn’t surprise anyone in the area. Small underground lot if you can’t find anything upstairs
Had the braised beef plate. Big portions, tasty and well braised beef. Veggies on the side were on the saltier side for my liking, but overall I’d get it again.
Got the beef noodle soup as well. I thought the broth could be a littler more “rich”, on the lighter side than I usually like it.
Not pictured but also tried the pork spare rib noodle soup. The spare ribs were tasty and fell off the bone.
Overall enjoyed the food and staff. Would come back again to try some other dishes like the braised pork”

“This place is nice and spacious, service was good. The Pho has good flavor. The wonton noodle soup was okay, but not sure what was in the wonton. ? …not a fan. Watch out for the tip calculations at the bottom of your receipt , it is done after tax is added on, which is wrong, should be calculated BEFORE TAX is added. Do your own calculation. Park in the parking structure in the back.”
“So good and affordable, made me love chinese food more them before. I wish I came here sooner since its 5 minutes away from me. Everthing is handmade and and i defintely recommend this place to anyone whos interested. the steamed buns bread was soft and the inside was very juicy.”
“My family comes here all the time to buy their frozen dumplings. I had never sat down and dined in before but wow! The lady who runs the shop is a sweet woman who makes everything from scratch. Food does take more time that average to arrive so please enjoy your company while you wait as the two person crew in the kitchen handmakes each dish to order.
I ordered the beef noodle soup and the noodles were handmade to order. The beef noodle soup was by far the best ive ever had. I also ordered the beef roll pancakes, sesame onion pancakes, and red bean filled pancakes. They were all so fresh and tasty. I also ordered drinks but that may be an acquired taste.
Overall, such a comfortable experience. It's like receiving grandma's cooking. Such a homey vibe.
Vegetarian options: There are meatless options like the scallion sesame pancake and the red bean filled pancake.”

“Good place for yummy halal food. The food portion was quite big. Service was okay, can be improved. Reasonably priced food.
Parking: Easy to park”
“If you are in the San Gabriel Valley area you must stop here if you want amazing Sashimi. Started with fatty Tuna that melted in my mouth so fresh delicious then moved on to giant Clams (Mirugai) it was sweet & crunchy I could have gone for second order not many sushi restaurants have (Mirugai)The fatty belly Salmon was buttery & the spicy Tuna hand roll sashimi was perfect coz I’m a spicy food addict it was just heavenly for me. Yum yum 🤤 ended with Kumamoto Oyster 🦪 it was so sweet like cotton candy in your mouth made me wanting more which I did order more. Lol 😂 The house hot Sake was good for a cold night paired so well with my amazing Sashimi! Great way to end my Friday night here! Thank you Chef!”

“I've been on a banh mi quest to find the best banh mi in San Gabriel valley.
I usually buy one item at all the places and it's the BBQ pork sandwich.
This is the best place so far. The sandwich is delicious. Old school delicious.
I call this banh mi, THE ULTIMATE. ?
Place is cash only.”

“The Thursday - Sunday late evening/overnight staff is amazing! I've been coming here pretty much weekly since July 2021 and they have become like family, especially our regular server Lupe. The night manager is cool and when he gets on the stove his food is out of this world! They got a new cook a few months ago and they are great with consistently producing comfort, especially the fries (and I'm VERY picky about my fry consistency).”
“You don’t stay in business for over 100 years for no reason! As an Alhambra native I have a special place in my heart for certain places that make Alhambra what it is, and this is definitely one of them.
Their flavors are delicious! The price is fair! And the atmosphere is unbeatable!
So many wonderful memories at this iconic ice cream shop, and you can feel that when you’re there.
Some original favorite flavors are green tea, and cookie monster which the kids love! I personally always enjoyed the banana walnut!
If you’re in town it’s definitely one of the top 3 to visit!
Parking: The parking lot is small only fits a few cars. There is free street parking, but depending on the time of day there may not be that many spots.
Kid-friendliness: Children are welcome! They will love it!
Wheelchair accessibility: This location is wheelchair accessible, but can be crowded, it may be good to sit outside for more room.”
“After doing some research, I found that by day, they primarily serve pho and Vietnamese food (Pho Ever) and during the evening on select nights, they serve specialized drinks and Vietnamese finger foods (N' Beyond). Put that together and you get Pho Ever N' Beyond! So cute.Anyway, this location is a bit obscure. It's located right off the 10 Freeway by Garfield and Hellman next to Circle K. There's a small parking lot as well as street parking. Hours are still changing, so definitely check Yelp or call the restaurant to see if they're open. As of now, they're open Friday - Sunday from 7:30 - 11:30 PM.The first time I came, my friend and I didn't really know what to expect. The pho restaurant was closing and the workers seemed to be in the process of cleaning up the restaurant. Luckily they have a very cute outdoor patio (perfect for a date!) with tons of flowers and greenery. We ordered at the cashier and our drinks and food were brought out to us.I asked for recommendations and went with the Mango Macchiato ($7). Kind of regretted the decision, only because I'm not a big smoothie fan and this drink was pretty much like a blended smoothie/shake. There was sea salt cream and mango jelly - really tasted premium with loads of mango flavor. I personally just thought it was a little sweet. My parents loved it though and devoured the drink once I brought it home.My friend ordered the Black Goji Berry Tea with Lychee ($7) - one of the most pretty drinks! I didn't try it, but she really enjoyed it. Said she could taste the lychee and the goji berry. We also ordered the banh mi brisket ($6) and chicken egg roll ($6). I was surprised that the banh mi was an actual whole sandwich. Packed with ingredients and I really enjoyed the flavor of the brisket. As for the egg roll, crispy and tasty - we ate everything. So I had to return to get a drink that I would enjoy. I ended up trying the Citrus Sunrise ($7) - this came with orange juice, jasmine osmanthus tea, honey citron jam, and some rosemary. I think there was also some jelly bits as well. Really refreshing and light, perfect for a hot day.P.L.O ($7) - peach, lemongrass, orange, lemonade, and jelly. My sister requested for the drink to be sweeter because she was worried that the lemongrass would overpower the taste, but surprisingly the lemongrass was really subtle. The drink was actually a bit on the fragrant/light side, almost as if it was missing a little acid or citrus to blend it all together. I liked the addition of the chia seeds, but I definitely preferred the Citrus Sunrise. And we also were able to try the Ube Frostie ($7). Seriously, the tea places that make ube blended drinks can't compare because the ube here tasted so fresh and decadent, along with the blended components of the drink. Felt almost like an elevated ube milkshake but the word milkshake doesn't do this drink justice at all. Not too sweet - my parents thought this was the best drink out of the three. They currently have a grand opening promotion if you're able to snag a card for BOGO 50% off; they also have a Yelp promotion of 20% off if you order a minimum of $15. The workers who helped me were all super nice and helpful.I definitely am going to return to try as many drinks as I can. Feel reluctant to share this spot, but at the same time, I really hope they do well. They really put a ton of effort into not just the taste, but also the presentation. Will be back!”
“I decided to try their Hainan chicken dish so I had a to-go order. As I was ready to pay, I was told that a minimum charge of $15 is required for credit card payments; hence, I ordered osmanthus tea. I didn’t have to wait too long for my order to be ready, and I had my dinner in my hotel room. There were three types of sauces (ginger, spicy and soy), and i enjoyed the dish. There’s a plenty of rice to finish the chicken as well!! The only reason I deducted a point from their service was that there was no utensils included in my order. I will remember to ask for utensils next time I time, as I stay at a hotel in the area.”
“Pharos is seriously solid. The fried mushrooms were crispy and delicious—definitely worth trying. The turkey burger was on point too, juicy and packed with flavor.
I snagged a bite of my son’s breakfast burrito (he had it for dinner), and I totally get why it’s a favorite. It was super tasty and hit the spot.
The food is really good, the place is clean, and the service is quick. Plus, it’s owned by a super nice family, which makes it even better. Pharos is a spot I’ll definitely be coming back to.”
“My experience was wonderful! The interior was nice and clean. The food was magnificent! I ordered the Washington Roll, Edamme, and the Tonkotsu ramen. I highly recommend these! I love how the servers checked on us occasionally, which others don’t. This makes it easier to give them some feedback. Highly recommend!”
“We tried the three flavor broth hot pot, where you can choose three flavors. I like the mushroom broth, my wife likes the spicy Mala pot, and our child likes the tomato pot. This way, all three of us can enjoy our preferred flavors in the same pot. The lamb slices were thick and substantial; one plate was enough for us to enjoy. The restaurant's ambiance was great, with a pleasant atmosphere. The only thing was that the music was a bit monotonous; I listened to Blackpink all evening.”
“I came here for lunch omakase over 6 months ago and still think about this place! The chefs were friendly, service was wonderful, the restaurant itself was clean and had a nice calming vibe, and the sushi was everything you would want in an omakase experience. I personally like simple flavors and not too many sauces that distract from the fish, and each course, I thought was perfect. any flavors were perfect compliments to bring out the natural freshness and taste of the fish. I didn’t feel like any course was a “filler” course, we kept saying each one that came out was our favorite. I have had many omakase experiences where I left feeling unsure whether it was worth the price but this place was absolutely worth every penny. I only wish I lived closer! Thank you for such a wonderful experience.”
“Liangpi LA is the most delicious. As a Xi'an native, I have eaten all over Xi'an restaurants in Los Angeles. This is the first time I have tasted something so delicious. In other restaurants, they are either not vinegary enough or the dishes are messy.
The attitude of the boss and waiters is very good.”

“Delicious food and good service.”
“Popped in on a whim & ordered beef noodle soup (medium spicy). It was delicious! The noodles weren't soggy & there was lots of meat in the soup. The man who took my ordered offered me a chili paste oil, that was spicy salty deliciousness! I already want to visit again to try the beef roll & scallion pancake.”
“best indian restaurant in Alhambra.”
“My husband and I absolutely love this place . The service is amazing they are very attentive. The atmosphere is also awesome, really great lighting and amazing music. And the food is all amazing as well, especially the cucumbers from the salad bad! They are so tasty and pair perfectly with the meats and rice!”
“Excellent crispy chicken sandwiches that are made fresh- light with a good crunch and not oily. They are a little light on the bun bun sauce and we needed to order a container on the side to split which is an extra 50 cent. The curly fries were ok but not as crunchy or seasoned as one would hope. The walnut shrimp on bun seemed like a missed opportunity to be honeyed walnut shrimp on a bun- I think candied walnuts would elevate it some but that’s my take. The actual sandwich itself was fresh but also missing some sort of sauce and the shrimp patty itself is one note flavor wise but a good crunch.
I’d come back here for a crispy chicken sandwich and try the wings. (Though I’m concerned about sauces for the wings)
It’s street parking btw”
“went for lunch today, ordered some chillaquillas got home terrible a plate full of chips n green sauce terrible. also ordered a grilled cheese for the grandbaby gpt home literally was a small square of cheese in the middle.of the bread maybe like 2x2 slice. Needless to say I returned for a refund cause I'm not paying top dollar for food I wouldn't even feed my dog. The guy said the owner Rola didn't want to give me a refund but decided too lol n than minus the tax I paid!!!! so ur gonna keep taxes on food I ordered yet I returned the garbage. This burger spot used to b teh business back in the day I will not spend a dime ther ever again!!!”
“Got the kimchi dumpling hotpot with vermicelli noodles, and it was really good. It comes with kimchi, pork dumplings, beef brisket, rice cakes, imitation crab, shrimp, dish cake, and cabbage. I think a few more things, but you can refer to the menu for the for the full list. We ordered through the QR code menu, and it came relatively fast. It looked like you can also order from a server with an iPad as well, but you would have to wave them down since QR code is the default. Overall, it was a pretty good experience with lots of food. The lunch menu also comes with a choice of green tea or black tea! Would definitely recommend for hotpot.”
“Areli (hope I'm spelling it right) is amazing!
Spectacular service, even just a few minutes before close. Will 100% be back and will bring friends, and tell everyone I know how awesome this place is. Keep up the great work!!!”

24 Hour Restaurants
“I typically do Drive-thru during weekdays when I’m solo. On a few occasions, I would eat-in when + other members during weekends. Drive thru service is much better than eat-in service. Not that it’s all bad, just not 5-stars. 4 for overall decent. This is a better JITB than many others in the local l neighborhood. The North Montebello location is iffy iffy.
I’m not sure if this is Corporate owned or Franchise owned. The respondent shows a validated JITB user.”
“The staff is very friendly and attentive. We know and remember what our customers like. Above all, the raw fish is very fresh.
It's an old raw fish restaurant and our family really likes it.
Sashimi, raw fish, and soup are all delicious. Recommended.”
“Absolutely love Nabemono Shabu Shabu. We were finally able to enjoy a dine in experience, and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful space and great service. I highly recommend their sukiyaki and spicy creamy pork bone broth. Absolutely superb with their ramen, fresh veggies and sauces (ponzu and sesame). Can’t wait to go back to enjoy their cold noodles! Yum!”
Takeout Restaurants
“I am only rating the popcorn chicken Ramen! That is the item I've had 4 times. The restaurant is kinda hidden. If you ever go there, they are right in front of the alhambra carwash and its in a brick building.
The chicken is mild. Medium or hot spice level. Soup is super hot and tasty.
It is quite a treat. You should definitely try this item if its your 1st time. If you are mexican and like spicy like me get medium spice and xtra spice on the side in case you like it very spicy! Will definitely keep going.”
“Nem Nướng Khánh Hoà is widely praised for its authentic Vietnamese cuisine and warm atmosphere. The restaurant’s specialty is nem nuong cuon, a dish of grilled pork meatballs wrapped in rice paper and served with fresh herbs and vegetables. The dish stands out for its flavorful, fresh grilled pork and the crunchy texture of the accompanying ingredients”

“I was recommended to come here by a friend and each time I come, their service has consistently been good. The restaurant is small, so i usually go early to avoid the line. Their food portion is a bit smaller but the taste has consistently been good. I always get their salad.”
“Such a lovely hidden halal gem in Alhambra. It was a delight visit this restaurant and experience wonderful friendly atmosphere with spicy and delicious cuisine. The lamb skewers, fried chicken and shrimp has burst of spice and flavor which was truly enjoyable. Look forward to visiting again and trying more dishes they have to offer. Such a great experience!”

“I ordered the Pouchung tea latte this weekend. The tea is simply stunning – the flavor is strong and delicious. It is hard to believe but it preserves certain tea fragrance that I could only find from tea brewed in a teapot. I order the tea with very light ice, so it stayed rich and did not get watered down. If you enjoy good tea, Formosa Aroma is definitely a worth-visiting place. This tea has quickly become a new favorite for me. Highly recommend to try!”
“I love the food my favorite is the linguine clams which is made with a white wine sauce but you can ask for red if you desire. Everywhere you go now a days is expensive but at least portions are large and shareable. It surprises me to read the reviews and see that people enjoyed the Tyson frozen wings they use to serve at Vittoria’s for years. I also would like to note that I love the antipasto salad and it doesn’t have only one meat as I read on one of the reviews. Also everywhere that has delivery service charges more when ordered on the app. Update: they are no longer charging for water. I can say that yes they are short staffed sometimes as well as many other restaurants have been ever since COVID. I really love the service and I will continue to be a customer for many years!! It always amazes me that people can’t see when it’s busy and aren’t understanding.”
“Food was delicious, and service was great and friendly. Ordered scallion pancake, short ribs and soup dumplings it was plenty of food.”
“Delicious food and good service.”
Drive-Thru Restaurants
“Their tacos are delicious but their tostadas are very bad, they use bottled lemon and not natural to cook the seafood, that is terrible, not only is it from laziness but from people who know nothing about the preparation of seafood, I would return but only for the tacos , I would never try seafood prepared any other way here.”
“moderately busy but no long line after ordering a combo it took a little too long waiting for the food which took about 15minutes the atomic and the hickory smoke BBQ sauce is amazing seating inside was nearly full but theres ample outside dining areas at the main st location great ritzy shopping on main st. busy shopping and activity on main st. even late late night theres something going on out on main st.”
“My new favorite Acai spot! I like the variety of bases that you can have and there is sooooo much topping options! First time I have ever had mochi bits in my Acai bowl and I absolutely loved it!
Parking is a bit difficult, but there is a parking lot in the back of the store.”
“My family and I have not ordered everything, but it's all worth every penny. I have never had better coffee and I'm not a coffee person. Otherwise, what I do like is matcha and 7 leaves makes it so clean to what I've ever had. Absolute favorite matcha drink to where no one holds a candle.”
“best indian restaurant in Alhambra.”

“So my sister and I went here on Friday night after a show we went to in highland Park.. we said we wanted a chicken sandwich but not from any ordinary take out spots.. so we ended here lol... well let me tell you .. atmosphere is on point .! They play good music ? we didn't get any drinks but man do the drinks there look tasty ?... will be going back to try more of the food items and get some drinks! Lol
Food is on point .. check them out ..!”
“My wife and I shared a beef burrito, and the Carne Asada salad. The dressing to the salad was really tasty, and the steak was better prepared than a steak I had any fancy restaurant last weekend. The burrito was just simple goodness … not too fancy or over done. This is a family owned business that supports the community. Support them … take the family to lunch or dinner You won’t be disappointed!”
“I ordered the taro pearl milk tea and the spicy popcorn chicken. I wasn't expecting real taro in the tea but it was a delicious surprise. This is really Bobacraft! The vibes of the place are really chill too. So it's no wonder why students love going here after school. Overall, this is a great boba place!”
“A good place for rice noodles, and I really loved their broth! My go to is their sliced beef rice noodles, portions were good too. The restaurant is also very clean. Not to mention, when you order takeout, they pack everything so nicely! Service was fast too!
Note: there is a small parking lot right next to the restaurant although all seem to be compact sized, street parking is plenty too if you have a larger car. And, they also do happy hour from 2-6pm for snacks and drinks.”
“Had to check out this place and oh my goodness they best pasta I've ever eaten. Their veggie soup is really good. Was going to order their ravioli but, they no longer serve them anymore. Definitely have to try their signature meals, service is very friendly! Love supporting small businesses <3”
“OMG I could not eat another bite... Shrimp Bay omelette.... awesome! Companion ordered Popeye special . Double awesome. My English muffin was toasted perfectly and hash browns also came out great . Did not know they were shakes there until we looked under desserts , voila there they were. Never going to a fast food for shakes again while Bun n Burger is open. Real ice cream homemade shakes $4 much larger than any you can get had to drive thru. My only complaint is that they close at 3:00 and aren't open 24/7 . Of course then I would be a much heavier person, so it's better the way it is . Can't wait to go back and try different meals!!
Parking: There's a small lot behind the restaurant . There's street parking but when it's crowded you have to park a little ways away . Worth it though .”
“I was a doorman to one of the Main Street bars, and customers would always tell me to go checkout Jay Dee's. So I finally did after 2 years. It's a cool place to hang out and have a drink. Drinks are reasonable, and it's a cash only bar. Customers are friendly too, & no haters. Has pool tables and darts. No, dj, but they have a jukebox playing cool music. Bartenders are friendly and treat everyone like family. I would go back 😊👍🍻🥂”
“The food was great. Came here for a weekday for lunch. They are not busy at all. They mainly sell claypot rice with 2 choices of meats. There is also an option to choose daily soup or drinks with cheaper prices that came with meals. I think soup around $5 plus and drink $3 plus. After finish, we get to try their Portuguese tarts, which are quite good. Overall, this restaurant is 1 woman show. She did the cashier, cooking and serving to you. I'm not sure about washing dishes. The only things that need improvements are their bowls, have some stains and no paper napkin on tables. Other than that, their dishes are quite good.”
“This is my favorite spot for Taiwanese pork chop rice! Their pork chop rice is unlike anything else in the area. Whenever I’m craving that authentic Taiwanese flavor, this is my go-to. The owner uses a special recipe, and it really makes a difference—it’s incredibly delicious!”
“The pork chop dish was delicious and so tender. Generous portions and reasonable prices.”
