“This was another adventure for dinner thanks to a Yelp search. I didn't realize the menu concept, or I missed it while checking out the menu online. But, I am glad that it all worked out.Visiting Belmont, we decided to choose this restaurant. I loved that they had hot dogs, sausages, and hamburgers. I am not vegetarian, but there were quite a few options for those who are not meat eaters.As we entered, I heard talking, laughter and the football game. The person who took our order shared with me his suggestions and I went for them. I had the chili cheese tots and the Holy Aoli burger. Didn't realize that all burgers are sliders. My burger was actually 4 sliders! One patty with 4 Hawaiian rolls as buns...yum. I asked for extra green onions on my chili tots, which were plentiful. My mother in love ordered their special Thanksgiving sausage, and my husband had the Reservoir Hog. I yell you, the menu is unique as it is good. Who would have thought that no hormone or antibiotic added meats could be reasonable priced and tasty. I appreciate the relaxed atmosphere and our ability to grab our own condiments, too.“

“An absolute favorite that I am sure to visit on every trip to the Bay. Very unique fusions of Indian and Californian flavors with something for every palate. My favorites are the sesame leaf, burrata kulcha, house salad and dry boat scallops. Also don’t sleep on the cocktails. Very nicely crafted.“

“A lovely meal. The chef is super creative in the use of vegetables and original sauces. Nice selection of wines by the glass, which our server was happy to let me taste before ordering. Highly recommend the cauliflower starter and the chickpea risotto, which were quite exceptional. The baked cod however was a bit too salty. And we needed to order some bread to cleanse our palate afterwards. They did offer to remake the fish which was thoughtful, but it would have interrupted the flow of our dinner at that stage. That said, it was a great experience overall. And don't skip the s'mores desert!“

“Excellent spot.Found the staff to be on point. Everything was on time, waitress was very knowledgeable and had good recommendations but didn't pressure.Food was excellent. Really no complaints. We had the salumi, pea salad, pizza, and cheesecake. Nothing missed. Prices are typical for peninsula (high) but the quality is there to back it up.We sat inside and it was noisy with loud misic, and the large screen TV at the bar was maybe unnecessary. So not a romantic spot but more for a night out with friends or family with older kids.Will definitely come back ASAP!Parking: Right next to large San Mateo city parking garage. Took a while to find a spot but it's free after 6 and there are plenty of spots, you just have to look for a bit since it's such a big lot.“

“Absolutely amazing experience. From the time we checked in for our reservation, service was very kind and thoughtful and everyone wanted to make sure we had the best time. Stunning dining spaces. Every corner beautifully designed making for an elevated experience. Depending on which spot you pick, you can be sure it will be a distinct experience. “We had the most delicious meal last night at Protégé. Each course of the tasting menu was perfection. At the end we couldn't choose a favorite because they were all equally incredible. Our server, Fleur, was so knowledgeable about the food and the wine and gave us wonderful recommendations for the perfect wines to compliment the various courses. The whole experience was wonderful and I can't wait to go back sometime.Dietary restrictions: They made sure they were aware of all of my dietary restrictions and ensured the food I was served was safe for me to eat by making small adjustments when needed.“

“We found this place roughly a month ago, and the owner and head chef named Josh is arguably one of the best steps I've ever met, I come from chefs background used to be a corporate chef years ago, and the food and quality of service at this location is arguably the best I've ever dealt with, including French laundry. I highly recommend this restaurant to anybody who is interested in an outstanding service, outstanding food and outstanding ambience. We will definitely continue to go back to this location as many times as we can.“

“Reservations recommended. It's a fabulous find with fantastic food. This was our second visit, and my partner said the margarita she ordered was a good as our first time. The service was terrific, and the food was hot and delicious. The salsa served with the chips was teetering on the high end of my tolerance, but I'm kind of a lightweight in that regard. The only cautionary note is the environment. The space has tall ceilings and nothing to dampen sound. As a result, it is pretty raucous and lively...not ideal for quiet conversation. I wouldn't want them to change as that's part of the experience.“

“Visited on a Saturday evening,without a reservation and it was understandably busy. We couldn't be seated for dinner so we opted for the bar but it was full (I know why!) So we walked around a bit had dinner elsewhere and returned about 1 hour later. Though it seemed to get busier, two seats at the bar freed up and we jumped in. It was totally worth the wait. The drinks were great! You can taste the craftsmanship in every drink. I asked about gluten free options since the menu was not marked, and he took me through the menu to explain what could and could not be safely prepared without cross contamination. Unfortunately, not many safe options! There are very few gluten-containing items, but they spoil most of the menu for me due to a shared fryer - so no homemade tortilla chips for me! The cocktails were great, the atmosphere was very pleasant, and the staff were friendly. Menu isn't huge though, and salad wasn't very exciting, small, but my friends who got burgers and other less health-conscious items were happy. Bucky's also has an back patio that's great if you want to enjoy your drink with some fresh air. The place was not really crowded due to the rain but the patrons were diverse and respectful. One thing I did notice was that despite being able to work efficiently, the bar did cycle through workers often. Would begin socializing with the group and then look to the bar, new bartenders. Talk more, look back and it was back to original with maybe some new faces or mix of them. There was one bartender guy that looked like a model or belonged on one of those Netflix dating shows. They have items that I haven't seen at other Vietnamese restaurants. I had the lemongrass ribs, that was delicious. My wife and her friend shared the Sea Lovers platter and enjoyed it. If you're in the area and craving Vietnamese cuisine, this is a definte place to go.Parking: There is street and garage parking that depending on the day and time is paid or free.“

“My friend and I had dinner at Twelvemonth last night and it was an amazing experience! There are several parking lots in the downtown area, as well as street parking. The theming and decor here is so cute and would be great for a date night! We sat inside next to a big tree, and the whole vibe inside was amazing and felt upscale. I can't wait to come back here during the warmer weather and sit outside! They also have a bakehouse around the corner, but I don't believe it was open when we went around dinnertime. Everything here is vegan, and although I'm not vegan, I truly did not miss the meat at all and thought all of the food we tried was flavorful and delicious! We started with the crispy maitake mushrooms, which were so chewy, crispy, and flavorful! They had hot nash seasoning, pickles, and whipped ranch, and they came with a delicious dipping sauce which was equally as yummy. I had the Winter Chopped Salad as my entree, but I asked for feta instead of the blue cheese. It was such a delicious salad that I'd definitely order again, but I'd probably pair it with another entree, as I was still a little hungry afterwards. I also had the Windfall mocktail which was refreshing and light! I really enjoyed it. My friend ordered the spaghetti and a glass of wine and enjoyed them both! The servers were very attentive and our water glasses were never empty. They also answered any questions we had and were very friendly! Side note- the restrooms are also so cool here! I recommend checking them out! (I didn't take any pictures but they are so cute and very clean!) I never though I'd drive out of my way to go to a vegan resturant, but I'd do it again! I can't wait for my next visit to Twelvemonth!“

Chill vibe and bartenders, good drink prices, and an including a variety of shot+beer combo options.I asked for “a Jameson and a beer”, getting a Budweiser and a very generous pour of Jamo for $10. “Extreme friendly neighborhood bar. People here are modest and very friendly. The first day they paid for my beer, the second time they invited me to play a pool. Bartender is very responsive and friendly. If you're living in the neighborhood or a visitor,you must visit to feel true American spirit there.“

“The food was delicious, the fries were very crispy on the outside yet soft on the inside, the seasoning wasn't too salty either. I came here at 5:15 to try their tacos, but unfortunately they don't start serving tacos until 6:30pm. The burger was delicious and very filling, I only ate half and didn't finish the fries either.
