“A delightful Chengdu-style restaurant! From warm hospitality to authentic Sichuan dishes bursting with flavor, every moment was a joy. The Sichuan maocai, sichuan boiled fish and Mapo Tofu were highlights, accompanied by impeccable service. A must-visit gem for spicy cuisine lovers!“
“Super fun lunch with a friend who introduced me to this restaurant in the Ranch 99 complex. We shared the salt and pepper tofu, Sichuan style twice cooked pork bacon, spicy garlic eggplant, crispy noodle chicken and pan fried chive turnover.Everything was super fresh and steaming hot. The tofu fried to perfection and soft & silky inside. We agreed to try item we had never had before and the twice cooked pork bacon and crispy noodle chicken were two of those items. The pork was very flavorful with the perfect heat level, and the crispy noodles under the layer of delicious chicken, mushrooms and fresh Vegis lent the perfect texture. The chive turnover was a fun dish. Our server, and everyone at the was friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back. Two things to know, parking can be a challenge as it is a busy area (there are multiple restaurants and shops in the complex, plus Ranch 99) and if you pay in cash, you get a free mini ice cream.“
“I really enjoy their spicy tofu noodles. It's the right balance of spicy and flavorful. Taking off a star the following reason:This is a truck, the food is to take away (yes I understand it's usually parked at spark social) and yet they serve it in an open bowl with a foil cover on it. This isn't a great solution for anyone trying to take it home or back to the office. Bags are $0.27 cents.. If they packaged it in a proper container, I wouldn't need a bag.“
“We have been coming to this place everytime we come to San Francisco for the last 9 years. The food is fantastic, I literally crave their Dan Dan Noodles and they have some of the best Pork Belly I have ever had. The walk through Chinatown is what we look forward to as well. Service is great and we recommend this place to everyone. Here's to many more years of fantastic food , love San Francisco and love Spicy King!!!“
“Dine is cash onlyFood is great. We had three dishes and they all met or exceeded expectations in terms of flavor and portions. Service was fast and efficient. Dishes came out within 10 minutes of ordering them.Parking: Parking is easiest in yellow zones after 6 pm if you are doing dinner“
“A lot of these positive reviews seem to be from real gourmands, fans of specifically Yunnan-style cuisine, and people who recognize and appreciate the quality and authenticity of the food on offer here. Then there's me, who ordered from the part of the menu that is labeled "American" style. So I'm here to tell you that that part of the menu is amazing as well. Onion pancakes, fried rice, sesame chicken, and General Tso's: all absolutely delicious. Long reign Yunnan Style Rice Noodle! So glad this is nearby.“
“谢谢!Super yummy made fresh to order veggie dim sum options in the heart of Chinatown, veggie grub round here is far and few but this is worth a stop. I hauled the Vegetable and Shiitake Mushroom Bao's whilst on the move, great flavor but slightly pricey comparing to other joints in the area. It's certainly one of my new local go-to's, this place is a must as it offers incredible actual traditional Chinese treats at a great price.Support local businesses!“
“The restaurant is simple and clean. We ordered a lot of dishes. They were all good. For me, the best dish was Suan Cai Yu . It was a resplendent dish full of delicious tender fish slices, delicately pickled mustard greens, and crunchy sprouts, all immersed in a most tangy savory soup. This dish stimulated our appetite. It was perfect to eat with rice. Both of us were very satisfied with the food and the reasonable prices, and we had to get takeout boxes because there was so much food. I‘ll return again.“
“This place is BOMB. I’m Chinese. This is some of the very best Chinese food I’ve ever had. While my heritage has not of Hunan Province, all dishes we ate felt like home to me. The spare ribs and sticky rice has to die for as it the hunan lamb. Of special note is the black fungus and cucumber salad. We also had the glutinous rice and brown sugar dish - incredible. Tofu and chives -excellent. Hot and sour soup, excellent. Service outstanding. Proportions are massive. Bring a big appetite because even when you get full, you won’t want to stop eating. I am a Bay Area native and am spoiled by really good food - this place shares the top of my fave places to eat list.“
“Ordered the GuiLin Noodles which is one of the only non-spicy options. The noodles were amazing and perfectly textured and the beef came right off the giant bone they gave. The taste was amazing and very tender. The soup was also really good but just a tad bit salty. The staff was very friendly as well. The only thing bad is that when I went to the back to use the restroom, I saw flies around the tub of noodles they had.“
“I got the spicy noodles with tofu and chicken. The food was overall good, but everything was drenched in sauce, there wasn’t anything to cut into the oily sauce, so I could only eat so much. The texture was also one note, I wish there were crunchy elements in this dish, it’s supposed to have peanuts but I found only a couple pieces. I would suggest maybe adding bokchoy and more crunch toppings.“
“Happy to have vegan option in Union Square. Good service, very quick. I ordered flaming spicy tofu. It was not what I would consider flaming spicy ha! But it was fine. I enjoyed the crisp water chestnut. The meal was too big I could not finish it. I had to pay extra for rice. The plate seemed a bit overpriced to me. Gorgeous building and location, and lamp.“
“Little Szechuan is one of our “go to” restaurants when we’re craving authentic Chinese food with regional spices and heat. They offer an extensive menu, including dishes that will help Chinese natives overcome any pangs of homesickness. In fact, it reminds my partner of foods his grandmother used to prepare for his family in Wuhan. Delivery is fast, reliable, and always hot upon arrival. Try it! Pictured here: Szechuan Fish with Pickled Mustard Greens – Suan Cai Yu (酸菜鱼) and Sichuan Dry Fried Potatoes with Pork Belly and Peppers.“
“Tasty food!! Fun servers; may initially come off as a bit curt/quiet; but very nice, and the service is prompt and strong!a couple outdoor tables, and plenty indoor. They have $13-17 lunch specials M-F 11:30-2:30. The main dishes aren’t too much more, and are a great portion size. Kid and dog friendly outdoors.Vegetarian options: Plenty of veg dishes.Dietary restrictions: Plenty of veg dishes, and other seafood/tofu options.Parking: Metered on Solano, and free in neighborhoodKid-friendliness: Yes!Wheelchair accessibility: Ada compliant, and the tables have chairs that can be moved to accommodate.“
