“Oh my goodness deliciousness! Amazing evening -- Insalata de Nochi (braised Pear Salad) was perfect-- I had the Short Rib Pasta -- made with Pappardelle Pasta, moist flavorful short rib, mushroom cream sauce (yum!)--absolutely scrumptious! Bob had the Chicken Marsala, and he said the chicken was tender, very good! and of course (2) Glasses of Cabernet, from Paso Robles--The staff are always so amazing, fantastic customer service-- Thank you to the man, Leone!“
“Such an amazing and authentic taste with a family vibe. Great service and cook to order food. You can't go wrong if you want a great Italian meal. I've had their pizza, chicken parmesean, spaghetti and meatball sub. All amazing, however, pizza is my favorite.Parking: Parking can seem a bit of a challenge but you will find a spot in the small lot“
“Food was decent, the servers were friendly, but the overall Service was meh. We were a group of 6 guys who were celebrating a pal's birthday (cost was not an issue). We had issues receiving the following after many requests:* Additional Bread - requested 6 times* Red Pepper flakes - requested 4 times* Refilled water glass (never happened)Appreciated dining at Via Vai but they aren't the only restaurant in town. Won't be back for a very long while.“

“We choose Best Pizza and Brew in Vista to celebrate a family members birthday. We had ages from 7 to 66, and everyone was happy with the food selection and quality. We choose pizzas, chicken wings, bread knots, and salad. Everything we ordered was full of flavor and made fresh.“
“The food here is what I love the most beside the atmosphere of the restaurant. I've been trying different dish of pasta, all tasted great and fresh especially pasta, the way it's cooked just like you would have in Italy. The restaurant itself is very cozy and welcoming. The service was great, food come out fast enough, staffs were very attentive and friendly.“
“We discovered this place bc we're new to North County and my daughter wanted spaghetti for lunch. Saw good reviews, so chose here. So glad we found this place! It seems like a lot of people come in here for slices (which is always a great option); we chose to dine-in. There were 5 (maybe 4?) booths. As soon as we walked in I noticed the place was very clean (bathroom was very clean as well!). Had a good selection of food (some pep/cheese slices, garlic bread, gnocchi, spaghetti, wings) - all were delicious! Thin crust, very generous with cheese and toppings on the pizza. (East coast/New York style according to some other reviews). The biggest draw though was the owner. He was the one cooking the pies and running the register. He was so helpful and seemed to genuinely care that we had a great experience. Specifically, when the pies meant for slices were ready, he made sure to ask if we were ok "as is" or wanted any specifics (i.e. extra crispy) (so glad we said "as is" bc it was great!); also, my daughter is a "sauce fiend", so I asked for a little side of extra spaghetti sauce (the amount served w/ the spaghetti was perfect for a normal person!) and he suggested he warm it up first and got to it right away. Secondly, and more importantly, I overheard him thanking his employees for getting through the lunch rush! That was so cool to overhear. I could tell he cares for not only his patrons, but his employees as well! Also, they serve a limited selection of beer and wine!Great experience; they really set the bar for our north county dine-in Italian!“
“To be honest, I actually had a pretty abysmal experience, but I think it was probably just an off night. I was super impressed with the way that Tori the owner handled the situation and would definitely recommend people giving this place a try simply due to how courteous they were, and I do feel like they went above, and beyond to make up for experience.“
“I went in because the place was local, I had a coupon and the sandwiches looked great. They took my coupon without any problems and I got the Sandy Koufax (pastrami) and the Tommy Lasorda (Italian) - both came with pasta salad (there's an option for chips if you prefer that). The pasta salad was really good - I feel kinda dumb raving about it, but it was really well made. The sandwiches themselves were awesome. Even without the coupon, the prices felt justified. Quality sandwiches, no skimping on the meat and tasted great. Would definitely come back!“
“Hidden behind another pizza joint, I suggested we eat here instead. I was honestly thinking they would have pizza by the slice, but their way of competing against the many other pizza choices around the village is different. They offer a menu more than just pizza, including pasta, salad, veggie appetizers, and wine. Their pizza is practically a thin crust until you get to the end. It was amazing how perfect the crust was. It wasn't floppy anywhere and had a good chew. It was wonderful to dip into the leftover sauce from the stuffed shells, which was also great on its own. The pronounced lemon in the filling was awesome; I actually liked that it wasn't just a hint of lemon. The ambiance is intimate, but it's nice where we sat in their outdoor area. The service was OK. We weren't greeted when we stepped inside or as we walked up. The server didn't present our food by name, but rather placed it on the table. I don't think they even said, "enjoy". It just wasn't personable for a small local shop. When we left, however, another server who was working inside said bye and thank you. Guess it depends who you get.“
“As always, we were warmly welcomed upon arrival and seated immediately (always recommend a rezi just in case). Our server, Angelo, from beginning to end was awesome and friendly. The restaurant is quiet and nicely laid out. The food....amazing. We started with calamari, which is a generous amount, followed by entrees (mine pictured and the wife got the gnocchi), and capped off with crème brûlée. Delicious. Can't wait until next time!“
“Nuccis is the best Italian food and pizza in Vista/ shadowridge and North County SD! The $12.99 lg. 2 topping Monday Pizza deal is so good we almost have to order it each week best is mushrooms w sausage or the canadien bacon w pineapple, yumm...! The lasagna is also amazing and so many other dishes are as well. Do yourself a favor and try them! We've been going there for over 15 years.“
“Great sandwiches! Good variety and meats and veggies are super fresh. I got the turkey avocado which is made with fresh roasted turkey and your choice of bread- recommend the squaw, it's soft and nice flavor. can order half or full sandwiches but always manage to eat a full. Inside and patio seating options. Grocery inside offers fresh pastas, sauces, drinks, cheeses and more. Reasonable prices too. Excellent go-to deli!“
“The food and service here is amazing! I called in an order for pickup and when I arrived at the restaurant it was ready and the employees behind the counter were So friendly and professional. The cheese bread and the salads are my favorite!“
“We've been eating at Uncle Tony's for many years and love it. During the "pandemic", aside from the great food, Uncle Tony's restaurant was an island of clarity surrounded by an ocean of insanity. The atmosphere is great and the background music is perfect. I'd say the lobster ravioli are amazing but then everything else on the menu is also. Family owned and operated, so you'll find Tony talking with customers from behind the bar or around a table.“
“O'SIDE'S BEST KEPT SECRET! Born and raised in NJ and NYC, I often crave the pizza I grew up with. Cusimano's is IT! I've only tried the cheese, the margarita, the everything (combo), and the Sicilian. All of them were just right. Fresh, crispy crust, perfect amount of authentic sauce, fresh cheese, meats, veggies. Pedro told me he trained in Brooklyn for 10 years. So glad he is now here in O'Side!“
“Wow! I didn't expect the quality for this mom'n'pops shop. I ordered the chicken ceaser salad with the dressing on the side. The salad was fresh and crisp, the chicken was freshly made and cut and the best part..... the croutons are made in-house!!!!I'm pretty sure the dressing is also made in-house, and it all just was perfect.I will be returning to try the pastas another time. You can't beat that price!!! Please support this restaurant and eat here!“
“We had already been to the location in uptown Carlsbad and had always wanted to try this location by the beach. The crew members were very courteous and attentive. We were seated at an ocean view location, which was perfect til the screaming kid next to us kept testing the acoustics in the building. The parents had no intention of calming him down. We asked to move to another seat, and we took the option of sitting in the bar area. The outside dining area wasn't available for another hour. Unfortunately, we could periodically still hear the kid screaming, but it wasn't as loud. The food was great! Our waitress was excellent! The seating in the main lobby could've been a little more spacious, and the parking could be an issue if it weren't for the great valet parking. We definitely will be back.“
“We had a FABULOUS lunch at the Olive Garden in Carlsbad, CA. It was delicious & the price was right which is so important with cost of living these days! Our server, Brynnan, gave us the best service I think I’ve ever had anywhere!!! You know, service is half of a great dining out experience. Even the manager came to check on us which doesn’t happen in most places. We will be returning soon.L. Golden“
“We recently held a beautiful event at the Privateer Marketplace and Wine bar for my mom's 90th birthday. We hosted 50 people at this affair, Sage is awesome to work with and his team were simply fantastic giving personal attention to making it extra special. This venue is perfect for hosting private events, the food and ambiance is great so give them a call for your next private event you'll be glad you did.“
“I have been eating here for 20 + years, I have seen the owners change, the food change and the servers come and go. Two things always stayed the same, great food and service,It feels strange to go to a "nice restaurant" and have to ask for salt, pepper, and red pepper to be brought out to the table, I know fewer places have it out, it's nice when you don't have to bug a busy wait staff to get it and wait to eat until you get it.That is my rant, love the place and will continue to go for another 20 years.Parking: Parking can be a bit tight and a bit rough to find in this lot I recommend getting there early and plan on hunting for a spot“
“My Boyfriend and I love this place. This time we tried Pizza and it didn't disappoint. It had tons of meat on it even filet mignon that melted in your mouth. That was a first for us. never have we had filet mignon on a pizza before. This is a gem of a place in the heart of the Village. Our Server Renaldo was excellent. We normally don't get dessert but we couldn't resist the limoncello cake. Yum!“
“I got the chicken and shrimp carbonara with tomato bisque soup and my wife got the chicken fettuccine Alfredo with Caesar salad we also got breadsticks with ranch our server was super attentive and helpful while ordering will definitely be back“
“Terrific pizza. Thin crust, fresh ingredients and a flavorful but not overpowering sauce make this pizza worth the drive, as I don't live close. I called ahead and pizza was ready in the quoted time. The large pizzas work for my family and pricing is comprable to other pizza places in the greater area. It is nice to have the option to purchase a slice. The new owners are friendly and appreciate their customers.“
“Ordered online so I did not get to see my pizza being made. The oven is a belt type, goes thru one end and out the other.I ordered at 6:50 and pizza was done by 7:05. I was thrilled to see big chunks of sausage. It’s not the Chicago sausage I’m used to but pizza on a whole was good for $7.I got a small 1 topping, used the online special.“
“A nice place to spend an evening, but little aspiration to excellence.Extra star awarded for allowing me to finally have found a restaurant with no television. It's hard to enjoy a family meal when your kids are watching TV, ruining the ambiance.I had the "special" which wasn't on the menu. The chicken Scaloppine. It started out quite nicely tender with food tasting noodles and texture. The mushrooms, which I normally don't like, were exquisitely cooked. The chicken did not taste seasoned at all and over time, went from tender to drenched in the sauce, which was about a half-inch deep in the plate. The chicken finished as a soggy, buttery mess. The staff were friendly and cordial. Our drinks were refilled continuously, almost to the point that I couldn't understand how they got anything else done. The menu is not overcomplicated but certainly doesn't cater to families with children. A kids option is limited to pizza unless they want to eat fancy. It seems this place is mostly meant for couples and friends and draws a senior crowd. It was pleasant. The lighting in the dining room was dim and I could barely see my food. But I wasn't too worried.Pricing was really reasonable for what you get. My wife had Mahi-Mahi which was also a special, but was $10 more than my plate. There seemed to be no wine list presented, though they had plenty of options which the manager was indulging in from time to time, which some would see as fairly forbidden on the clock. But the casual atmosphere and excellent conduct of all staff didn't make me worried. It was also concerning that a dog was allowed in the dining area. It was a non-service dog and even though the couple with the dog was limited to a table in the tar corner until an outside table was available, I heard commente from other customers about it. Some diners don't prefer hairy friends in the dining room. All in all it was a decent experience with casual food, an uncomplicated selection and a questionable ambiance indoors. I would have much rather been outside. But, we didn't need a reservation and the place was packed outside which should tell you my opinion is likely exclusive and my party wasn't their usual type of patron.Suggestions: Ditch the paper napkins and bare tables in the evening service and to for something radiant to cover tables. Ditch the candles and go for small lamps so people can see their food, since the lighting up top flickers. Stop drowning your chicken. 1/4 of that amount of sauce would do, with a little more seasoning on the chicken. Don't be afraid to blacken the chicken. Perhaps add some color for contrast. My plate was white, yellow and brown. Some steamed carrots, shallots or green onions should do the job.No one can tell you are open. You can't see the Christmas lights from Burger King where you turn into the place. You need an Open sign like your neighborKid-friendliness: Not snti-kid, but certainly not aligned to provide kids options“
“The best spot for pizza and pasta. This place is a game changer. I’ve had so many different pizza places in my life but by far this is THE BEST. Also not to mention the best prices. Big portions. The vodka penne is to die for and I love how you can get just a half order of any pasta for under $10.“
“Absolutely hands-down the best Italian restaurant in Falbrook. I've never had a bad meal there from pizzas to salads to meatball and sausage sandwiches. All those staff is totally happy and welcome you with a smile. I've always taken my dinners out, so I haven't eaten inside the restaurant, but when you walk in you are greeted kindly“
