“Excellent food (I had three of their exquisite shrimp tacos), excellent service (everyone was quick to help us with our dining experience not just our designated waiter. On top of that, our waiter in particular had a very delightful and positive personality), and excellent atmosphere (both indoor and outdoor, seating is very tasteful and the vibes are incredible, the music especially is my favorite). On top of all that, the prices of everything is extremely affordable and reasonable! (Each shrimp taco was only 5$!!!) This is a 5 out of 5 establishment and I plan to come here again the next time I visit San Diego. (The complimentary chips and salsas, yes plural, are incredible too!)“
“Great food and service but they need to do something about the hostess stand location. It is very awkward and there is nowhere to stand when waiting for a table. I moved forward and four groups cut in front of me since the hostess did not ask who was next in line, she just looked at someone else and took their information.“
“Not fancy in appearance, but it’s very clean and comfortable. A lot more spacious than many San Diego area restaurants. The food was excellent. I don’t know anything about Nepalese food, but I liked this. I’m not a fan of Indian food, and though this food shares a lot of the same seasonings, they’re not arranged in the same way.The waitstaff was reserved and quiet, but knowledgeable. We tried too many dishes and each was more mind blowing. They even had their take on chow mein for the picky kid.Chose a 2 spice level and everyone was satisfied but not “burned”. Probably would do a 3 or 4 if it was just me and the scale was reliably linear. But 2 was nice.If you haven’t tried Nepalese, try this, it’s not what you think. It’s pretty unique.“
“We just discovered Tumeric Hut when we overhead someone saying they ate the the best Indian food there, and they weren't wrong! Wonderful family business and the food is delicious! We have tried several dishes and they are all fantastic and as others have mentioned, the fresh naan is perfection. We love supporting a small, family business and it is easy to do when it is this good.“
“Excellent experience with AMAZING food!! The server was awesome and helped us pick out several rolls and a few other specialty items. The sushi was so fresh and everything was delicious. I'll definitely be coming back for more! If you are looking for an upgraded sushi experience and not your typical budget sushi, this is your place!!!“
“You can't go wrong with any item here. We ordered a range of items from Mopu Tofu, Trio Kung Pao, Eggplant, to the garlic green beans with shrimp. Everything was so good! The lady we picked up the takeout from was so sweet and accommodating. I cannot wait to return!!!“
“I was looking for some really good Mexican seafood and was recommended to try Sinaloa Mexican & Seafood and I decided to share my experience with everyone.Sinaloa Mexican & Seafood has been serving the community of Oceanside some of the best seafood around for many years. They are highly underrated!Located just east of the 5 Hwy and in the shopping center on Oceanside Blvd exit, you can find this locally-owned and operated gem. It's actually family-owned and operated too and the owners are very proud of their food. The service is friendly, attentive and everything you'd love about a small business. The interior is clean and simple. Plenty of seating for couples or even bigger groups. There are a few Mexican cultural decorations and then there are televisions to watch sports if desired. There's a nice cultural playlist on rotation to set the ambiance for dining-in and their bathroom is clean.Only wish there was more Mexican interior decor to make the dining experience more immersive; but it's definitely not a dealbreaker.Their menu has everything you'd expect from an establishment that has mastered seafood and Mexican cuisine. They've got some of the tastiest fish tacos, delicious burritos, shrimp cocktails and fresh ceviche tostadas, just to name a few dishes. They've also got a nice assortment of beverages & beers to complement your meal. There's plenty of parking in the shopping center lot and it's hardly ever crowded, so your food orders come out quick.Overall, I highly recommend giving Sinaloa Mexican & Seafood a try if you're in the area or even if commuting on the 5 Hwy; just take the Oceanside Blvd Exit and you're there! This place is A Must!Parking: There's plenty of parking nearby in the front.“
“Headed in for the first time last week Sunday because my friend and I wanted Seafood Boil with minimal work. The spot wasn’t busy, we were seated immediately. The server was perfectly attentive without hovering. The food was delicious and while we were thinking we’d have to order more food, a dozen oysters, hush puppies, combo 2, and a pound of head on shrimp had us stuffed to the gills.“
“Mom and I went last week on Saturday and let me tell u this place never fails to be awesome! I love the salad bar and the food is always fresh ☺️ our server Leo is amazing, so personable☺️ he is always in a great mood and always smiling! Always positive! Couldn't ask for any better! I will continue to come to this sizzler! ?always! Thank you for the service and yummy food see yall again soon!?“
“After a day at the Carlsbad Flower Fields, my friends and I wanted seafood. We checked into Bluewater Grill around 6 PM on a Saturday and the wait was almost 2 hours. We made a reservation for Blue Ocean Robata & Sushi Bar around the same and they also had an hour wait. Bluewater Grill seated us first, around 7:50 PM for a small group. Both locations require in-person reservations, so come early. The staff was decent and explained the menu. After ordering, he notified us that the Lobster Tail ($62) was sold out for the night. Our table shared the Crispy Calamari ($18.50) which paired nicely with the sweet chili sauce 4/5. Cajun remoulade sauce was okay. I ordered the Pan Seared Sea Scallops, MA for ($40) which came with goat cheese grits. The grits were creamy and the pan-seared scallops were fresh - 4.5/5.Restaurant has a private parking lot. Additional parking lot can be found around the corner for free.“
“Giant portions for a reasonable price, taste is classic Chinese cuisine and it’s consistent. Family owned and operated, support local!Worth the premium price as it feeds myself for multiple meals, and I eat a lot lolGive it a try next time you’re in vista“
“We had already been to the location in uptown Carlsbad and had always wanted to try this location by the beach. The crew members were very courteous and attentive. We were seated at an ocean view location, which was perfect til the screaming kid next to us kept testing the acoustics in the building. The parents had no intention of calming him down. We asked to move to another seat, and we took the option of sitting in the bar area. The outside dining area wasn't available for another hour. Unfortunately, we could periodically still hear the kid screaming, but it wasn't as loud. The food was great! Our waitress was excellent! The seating in the main lobby could've been a little more spacious, and the parking could be an issue if it weren't for the great valet parking. We definitely will be back.“
“Delicious food! We just had the Cobb salad with shrimp, 4 wonderful grilled prawns. The Cobb salad was the best my husband had ever had. 8 had a house salad, Delicious! Creme brulee was excellent. Wonderful location by the sea. Great service. We are coming back for lunch tomorrow!“
“Absolutely stunning authentic Mexican food I ordered the fish taco and carbs asada taco and was shocked with the high level of ingredients and original flavors. The fish tacos batter had the perfect ratio and the fish was cooked wonderfully and the carbs asada taco had high quality steak with great tortillas and overall excellent Mexican food.“
“Food: 3.5/5, solid crisp on the fish and fries if you eat it within 5 minutes, but it gets a bit soggy after that and the batter is a bit hard vs crispy Service: 5/5, pretty fast take out order and they come out to call your name in case you can't hear Ambiance: 5/5, it's by the water and there's nice outdoor seating!“
“I finally found AUTHENTIC Peruvian food in San Diego. In LA we have so many spots since I moved here 5 years ago I've been deprived of Peruvian Food. There Allllll not good or authentic but let me tell you. This spot is just like home. Great large portions authentic Peruvian FOOD and that green sauce yummmmmm. Only missing the PAN (bread) but all good.“
“The menu had a variety of options, from classic fish ceviche Camaros to more exotic choices like Aguachiles red/green. What sets this food truck apart is the freshness of their ingredients. You can taste the quality of the seafood, and it's evident that they source their produce carefully. One of my favorites is their fish tacos. The batter is perfectly crispy, and the fish inside is flaky and moist. The portion size is generous, making it a satisfying meal that won't leave you hungry. What surprised me the most was the affordability of the menu items. Given the quality and freshness of the seafood, I expected higher prices, but this food truck manages to strike a perfect balance between taste and value. It's evident that the owners are passionate about providing a memorable dining experience without breaking the bank.“
“If I could have given them 10 stars, I would have. This is authentic, flavorful food. Portions are huge, priced reasonably. Second day in a row here. Menudo is on point as well as Mojara, Carnitas and service. Well done! See you all here tomorrow!“
“One of the only good Chinese restaurant in the area! The salt and pepper chicken wings are SO good! It’s nice and crispy and full of flavor. The food is also more authentically Chinese than most people would know. The menu may be Chinese-American, but the way they make it, it’s authentic Chinese flavor. They have big portions for the dinner menu and I love having leftovers.“
“I like the applewood fire pizzas- the crusts are delicious!! The lemon ricotta and the margherita pizzas are my favorites. The poached pear arugula salad is also nice and refreshing. I've only ever ordered to go here but it's a cute joint and the food is really good.“
“LOVE <3!!! I have gotten it 4 times already in less than a month, the tuna and salmon is so high quality, the veggies are also fresh! Plus, the (white) rice is “safe” and doesn’t conjure any bad memories about the time I got food poisoning and thought the rice I ate that day was the cause.(despite not being true) The workers are fast at assembling all the ingredients you want together, and it’s a very calm atmosphere, the floors are pacific and the overall decor! I always get a regular bowl, (with avocado) and the prices do come out to be 17 dollars, and I don’t really make use out of that price tbh since I don’t get any sauces and for some reason limit myself to 3 toppings? However, that price does look good, a step further from “reasonable” if you order efficiently, and considering fish is expensive, as well as how healthy it can be depending on your order, (most definitely is a balanced meal, carbs, protein, fats, fiber…) it’s worth it. Furthermore, I really enjoy the ,Subway’ style, with the salad bar and protein bar(?) and being able to customize your own order while looking at it. By the end of this review, you’re probably NOT surprised that poke bowls has become my favorite food in this exact span of time… I yet to try the pokirito, which I hope I decide one day to to order!!! ?Vegetarian options: You can get the veggie bowl!!! It just includes the toppings and the base with some tofu as the protein.“
“We have been coming here for over 20 years and absolutely love it. The food is always good. The portions are large, and the staffs incredibly friendly. The restaurant is nice inside and they also are very quick with their to go pick up section.“
“My first time here. It's dinner, I'm hungry and I got a $20 tip, so here I am. The place is very clean, the service is friendly and the food is tasty. As I sitting here more & more people are showing up. It seems popular so others like the food as well.“
“We had the best time at Fresco. We came as a group of 10 hoping to get seated and absolutely loved everything. Kylie served us and truly made the experience. She was so fun and kind. I hope you all have Kylie when you come to the roof top! She's the best!!!“
“So good! I've been here a number of times now and everything I've tried has been wonderful. I especially love the duck, the garlic snow pea leaves, the onion lamb, and any of the salt-and-pepper entrees. Portions are huge. Staff are friendly and efficient, and it's a nice, open casual place to hang out, talk, and enjoy a great meal.“
“My Boyfriend and I love this place. This time we tried Pizza and it didn't disappoint. It had tons of meat on it even filet mignon that melted in your mouth. That was a first for us. never have we had filet mignon on a pizza before. This is a gem of a place in the heart of the Village. Our Server Renaldo was excellent. We normally don't get dessert but we couldn't resist the limoncello cake. Yum!“
“We came for Date Night and started the evening with a house Margarita and a glass of Fallbrook Winery Cab. Our waitress Maria was Awesome. We had the Mariscada Fría and let me tell you it was delicious. We shared the San Felipe fish plate ( I had the Mahi Mahi taco and the wife had the Sea Bass.) The tacos were delicious . If you ever want to enjoy good seafood in Fallbrook, this is the place. If you're lucky and Get Maria, I guarantee you will come back.“
“Just ate here for the first time. It's a super small location in a strip mall, however don't let that fool you! We ordered the 15 piece sashimi for $30 (two them because they were so delicious), two rolls, a few beers, sake, and edamame and our bill was very reasonable for a sushi place. The fish was fresh and buttery. Would 100% eat here again. Probably the best fish I've had in San Diego county so far (I'm also a sushi snob).“
“Never been here and I've lived up the street from them for over 15 years. Just went in to pick up a parrillada and a potato and bean burrito. My boss had the burrito and LOVED IT!--He is a VERY finicky eater. I had the parrillada and it was savory, hot and fantastic! Lady at the counter was very sweet and the food is unmatched. I'll be having the oysters next time. My only advice is that this place needs more light. It's a bit dark in there.“
“Took a friend to lunch for her birthday, and we had the lunch special..entree rice and beans.. a small cup of soup was included as well as chips and salsa.I have been here several times and have always liked the food. Today, I thought the salsa was a bit more watery than in the past. Our chicken tortilla soup had neither chicken or tortilla but was delicious with fresh vegetables .our entree was served at the same time and was not hot.. but was good, so we went ahead and ate . Our server was friendly and attentive as always..will try lunch again sometime. Hopefully, food will be better .. I like to support small family businesses.“
“My wife and I just visited this restaurant night before last. Owners are very nice and will actually stop and talk with you. Very clean inside. If you want salsa and chips you must ask. And they do have a better fresh 3 varieties. Just ask. No charge. Food was good but serving was small compared to other competitors. We WILL be going back . We enjoyed it. It's not served heat hot, but they do have hot sauce to satisfy your pallet. Give it a try.“
“Alfredo and his team make food full of love. Everything is delicious!! We primarily take out but have also used Las Brisas for catering and it was wonderful. Their salsas are fresh and full of flavor. A very talented chef (best fried egg ever) in a friendly neighborhood atmosphere. We can't go too long without it!!“
“This place is so incredible I remember trying the food at a pop up stand 6 years ago and when I finally got back in town I knew I had to find them!! Even after all these years the food is AMAZING! Had my man drooling over his plate cuz this was his first time. Yall have got loyal customers 4 LIFE BEST FOOD AROUND !! Each plate was packed with flavor and so damn delicious there's not a single bad thing on the menu“
“We hit Jay's twice... needed a dog friendly patio. Parking lot on busy corner but once the food arrived we didn't notice the traffic. Seafood combo was topnotch. Hot, fresh baked bread sticks disappeared in a blink. Came back for minestrone another day.“
“Luckily for us the parking lot was empty but I can see there being an issue on a busier day. The restaurant itself is in the corner of a shopping center and you would not think it is what it was, you walk in and it's marvelous.! Open seating/ bar seating. The attending staff said we can seat ourselves and someone will be right over. It wasn't very crowded and our server came over took our drinks order and left menus. We ordered and chatted. Food came over. Really exceptional! All was delicious and tasty! It has been a long time since I've had actual realistic Mexican food. I really recommend and will definitely return.“
“Rafaela’s is the most authentic and delicious Mexican restaurant. I have tried most of the dishes and all of them are done with a very delicious flavor ?????it’s a very clean place and excellent customer service prices are very very affordable, I think is low considering the amount of food you get in each plate. I strongly recommend this place for real Mexican food?? ?Vegetarian options: You can try most dishes without meat and they’ll be delicious.“
“A nice place to spend an evening, but little aspiration to excellence.Extra star awarded for allowing me to finally have found a restaurant with no television. It's hard to enjoy a family meal when your kids are watching TV, ruining the ambiance.I had the "special" which wasn't on the menu. The chicken Scaloppine. It started out quite nicely tender with food tasting noodles and texture. The mushrooms, which I normally don't like, were exquisitely cooked. The chicken did not taste seasoned at all and over time, went from tender to drenched in the sauce, which was about a half-inch deep in the plate. The chicken finished as a soggy, buttery mess. The staff were friendly and cordial. Our drinks were refilled continuously, almost to the point that I couldn't understand how they got anything else done. The menu is not overcomplicated but certainly doesn't cater to families with children. A kids option is limited to pizza unless they want to eat fancy. It seems this place is mostly meant for couples and friends and draws a senior crowd. It was pleasant. The lighting in the dining room was dim and I could barely see my food. But I wasn't too worried.Pricing was really reasonable for what you get. My wife had Mahi-Mahi which was also a special, but was $10 more than my plate. There seemed to be no wine list presented, though they had plenty of options which the manager was indulging in from time to time, which some would see as fairly forbidden on the clock. But the casual atmosphere and excellent conduct of all staff didn't make me worried. It was also concerning that a dog was allowed in the dining area. It was a non-service dog and even though the couple with the dog was limited to a table in the tar corner until an outside table was available, I heard commente from other customers about it. Some diners don't prefer hairy friends in the dining room. All in all it was a decent experience with casual food, an uncomplicated selection and a questionable ambiance indoors. I would have much rather been outside. But, we didn't need a reservation and the place was packed outside which should tell you my opinion is likely exclusive and my party wasn't their usual type of patron.Suggestions: Ditch the paper napkins and bare tables in the evening service and to for something radiant to cover tables. Ditch the candles and go for small lamps so people can see their food, since the lighting up top flickers. Stop drowning your chicken. 1/4 of that amount of sauce would do, with a little more seasoning on the chicken. Don't be afraid to blacken the chicken. Perhaps add some color for contrast. My plate was white, yellow and brown. Some steamed carrots, shallots or green onions should do the job.No one can tell you are open. You can't see the Christmas lights from Burger King where you turn into the place. You need an Open sign like your neighborKid-friendliness: Not snti-kid, but certainly not aligned to provide kids options“
“First time trying out this place for our annual Xmas chinese food dinner. Have to say we loved it. We ordered the chow mein, orange chicken, shrimp, and rice. Everything was cooked wonderfully and the flavor was amazing. They ran out of a side of veggies and whipped one right up for us within a few minutes too. Will definitely be back.“
“Stopped by for lunch with friends when we were in Carlsbad. It is located a block away from the beach. It's a casual Mexican Spot with good food and drinks. My husband and I shared the Carlsbad Carne Asada Burrito, Wet, but couldn't decide between green or red salsa so the waiter recommended doing half and half. It was delicious! Everything I love all in a burrito! We also ordered Ernie's Caesar Salad and I expected an ordinary Caesar salad but this one was really good! The dressing was delicious and I think they had different cheese that made it flavorful! What a nice surprise. The staff is very friendly and attentive and we enjoyed this place!“
“Favorite neighborhood Mexican Food hangout for dine in or takeout. Everything has been very delicious and well sized. I weighed the burrito once at home as it was so hefty. If you are lucky they will have ceviche, the best I've ever had, as they are known for seafood as well as the other fare. California burrito is a go to for me as well as chorizo breakfast burrito. The new owners are happy to have their new name and sign up in lights over the door. I hope to try everything on the menu. Service is very friendly. Clean and well lit with big windows and at least two tv screens.“
“This place is a great representation of tasty Mexican food. My first time here at this Oceanside location Don employee was helpful to informed me on full menu and tacos was fantastic, chicken quesadilla wow ! Delicious The taste was amazing the tortillas are freshly made, so delicious and the portion size was just right. 10 out of 10. Bueno“
“I have tried a few dishes such as beef and Broccoli, three flavor Kung pao, and pepper steak. All the dishes tasted good and have been repeats with my family. The dishes came in black containers with large white rice which they only fill maybe 3/4 of the box. So if ordering for a family or if you're someone that likes more rice, I suggest ordering an extra side rice. It's definitely worth giving a try if you live or if you're visiting North County.Parking: Parking spaces are tight.“
“Appetizer Thai Fresh rolls with shrimp. The rice paper wrap was beautifully sticky just how it should be. Salad was fresh, cold & crisp. Unmistakable Thai basil flavor with crisp assorted veggies.Sauces were sweet thick, peanut heaven. Not too thick though. Just right. As an entree I had Panang Curry Chicken. Now let's talk about spice level. They offer 0-10 scale for spice level. I ordered my usual 3x so that would be 30. Yes THIRTY. After a certain level the great does not increase, but the flavour of the peppers shines through. The Panang sauce was a nice medium brown and the peppers add a tinge of floating red oil once the peppers release their goodness into the sauce. Green beans & bell peppers were crisp and delectible. I was so pleased I forgot to snap a picture of my entree. Sorry folks.Wait staff is pleasant, efficient and friendly. Decor is a little lacking in that Thai touch of elephant statues & paintings, gold accents, and pictures of the Homeland. But decor is near, clean, and effective for a smallish space.Overall a very enjoyable experience!!“
“First time here. Don't judge me Hahha. Great spot for breakfast. The lunch menu looked great too! I was a little worried when we walked up as they looked busy. The wait was only ten minutes though. Our server l, Erica, was awesome. Very attentive and gave great recommendations. Definitely plan on coming back!“
