We've been watching past 3 - 4 now that trend, when were out of area or sometimes convenience of time and we tried other places, some we still vist But only get the rolls cause their sushii fish portion is ridiculous.
We've drive 25 mins. and been going here for bout 26 years, seen owner change but Masa (the Chef) still same.

“I stopped in on a rainy afternoon and placed my order at 1:15 PM. Unfortunately, I wasn’t informed when my food was ready, and it ended up sitting there without me realizing. It would have been nice if someone had let me know. Clear communication would have made the experience much better.“

“I took a friend to the AYCE dinner. It was a busy Friday night. I had to park after dropping off my companion so I don't know how bad the wait was for our table but there were lots of people waiting. Once I sat down to the menu, I noticed that prices rose in the last year. The staff were attentive and helpful.

We ordered a large amount of sushi, mostly rolls with some sashimi. Food started arriving quickly and continued for a while. The variety of sauces on the different rolls surprised my taste buds. Dinner was great! We finished off with a matcha macaron.“

I am a big eater - and I was well fed with a bill - after taxes and before tipp of $54 for the two of us. Including two beers. Of course, it is not the Nobu - but I bet you agree that is not what one would expect from this place. The service was good - and the ambiance a tad worn. I guess I'd rather dine at the Pasadena location - just because the ambiance is more appealing. Other than that: if you have cravings for sushi and money is an issue, the happy hour (even on weekends!) is a fantastic deal.“

“I passed by this place so many times but never got to try it out until today. The workers were so down to earth and made the experience so fun as soon as we walked in. Ryan was our server and was so helpful to us! It was our first time here and he took the time to really take care of the table and recommend some good items. My favorite was the salmon sampler. “The food was great, service was great . however one of the workers up front was causing a disturbance while I was ordering my food , not professional AT ALL I asked if everything was ok and cashier just apologized. Even thought the cashier apologized I still find it unacceptable that this altercation even happened in the first place. It was really embarrassing to watch and I hope that no ones is fired or blamed but hope that the co workers of the older lady can help try and be more polite.“

“Wanted sushi before heading back home from Universal Studios was tired of 2 days park food. Found this place thru Yelp and it didn’t disappoint. We loved the fresh Uni, Chu Toro, & Monk Fish Liver nigiris. Everything was good! A very expensive lunch but was worth it ❤️👍🏼. Very attentive staff too.“

“My family and I stopped here after a movie and really enjoyed it. It was late on a Monday, so it was empty and got seated immediately. The atmosphere is open, with high ceilings and an outside patio. There isn't loads of seating, but a decent amount. I could imagine there being a wait if it's a busy day.
Service was friendly and checked on us a regular amount. We didn't even feel pushed out, even though we stayed close to closing.
I've never been to another SilverLake Ramen, but I really enjoyed it. I liked how the chicken was in grilled strips, that was probably my favorite part. I got the Classic one, but next time I'd try something spicier. My mom got the veggie one and really enjoyed the variety, and my dad got the chicken broth one which he found tasty but unique, because it's not common for Ramen to be made with a clear chicken broth.
Overall we really enjoyed our meal and would go again to try more items!“

“Right next door to Geeky Teas if you’re looking for a food fix followed by a night of gaming.

I got the chicken teriyaki and had to try the bulldog. Parking isn’t too bad and if you’re going to Geeky Teas you can park in the back. They have outdoor seating only but some of it is covered for midday rushes.“

“This place is a hidden gem. The people who own it are authentic in every sense of the word. Ignore the reviews from people who have clearly never taken a single step outside of their comfort zone or culture, let alone the country. They fail to understand that the serious demeanor from the staff is a show of respect not a lack of hospitality. I implore you to try the regular sushi and sashimi to taste the freshness of the ingredients that you can tell they work very hard to procure.“

“Parking was confusing. The next door business started yelling at me for parking. Claimed disabled parking was theirs not yoshinoya.
Suggestion: to clearly mark who's parking spots are for which business.
As for the restaurant itself was treated with respect and understanding. The food was great along with the service.the only thing that was not was how the next door security guard was threatening and abusive.
Please clearly mark who's parking spot belongs to which business. I had my placard on my car and parked on the side of Yoshinoya and facing the restaurant and was not on the otherside.
Otherwise everything was as advertised. Reasonable, fast, and everyone was kind.“

“I got most beautiful poke bowl I've ever seen -- truly a work of art. They also had some really unique bases and toppings I've never seen before too. Another nice thing about this place is that they are right next to a place that serves matcha drinks. A poke bowl + a matcha latte? That's some good stuff.“
