“Came here for a quick snack and drinks with the girls. Vibes are immaculate and the brussels sprouts were life changing. I promise they're way more appetizing than they look. We also tried the potato appetizer, which I would pass on. Still would recommend coming here though!“

“Brought our family of 4 including 5 and 2 year old, sat outside and they had a cool little tent area for the kids to play. Broccoli and Koji ribeye were for sure the highlights followed by the “make your own smores” dessert. Kids had a great time, kids menu was also one of the better I've seen and their food was quite good and we appreciated the pricing. Wait staff was exceptional, helpful, attentive and kind. We left a couple of hot wheels cars at the table and they took the effort to find out number and call us up to let us know.“

The menu contains offerings that are diverse with slightly unique takes on classic dishes with fresh ingredients and are consistently executed in excellent fashion. The staff is knowledgeable and very attentive. The environment is beautiful. Our dining party sat on the outside terrace which was absolutely lovely but there are the occasional military aircraft flying overhead. Based on your own personal perspective, these infrequent flights can be an interesting addition to the experience and/or a loud disruption, albeit only momentary. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at AR Valentien!“

“Great food and service but they need to do something about the hostess stand location. It is very awkward and there is nowhere to stand when waiting for a table. I moved forward and four groups cut in front of me since the hostess did not ask who was next in line, she just looked at someone else and took their information.“

“As a local in & out loyalist, I regret to announce that my head has officially been turned with our new neighbors north, Crispy Burger. I say “new” because it’s new to me, as I was reluctant to try this truckstop-esq spot. But boy, do I tell you, if you’re a fan of smashburgers, look no further. The burgers, fries and milkshakes are divine. Combine this with great prices, exceptipnal service, and the delight of great ranch (this truly matters), it's a sure recipe for weekly cravings. Im so happy I live a stones throw away. Overlook the highway pit stop and do yourself a favor trying crispy burger ASAP.“

“We’ve been coming here on and off for the past 15 years and love it. The food, the people and the family atmosphere make this gem perfect! Each time my family comes in I have been reminding (harassing) Chris to let his mom know that we would love for the short ribs to come back on Sundays. “Del Mar has grown up!I lived in Del Mar in the 80s and 90s, to see Del Mar and what we called east Del Mar, north city west today, it's unrecognizable.The cute little beach village 92014 retains the same feel. East of the 5 is now a destination for the bougie trendy crowd. The shopping is fantastic, the theatre's top-notch the food and atmosphere is as good or better then the best zips in the state.Nicks fits in perfectly. The place is classy, clean, and delicious.Top this off with world-class service, and it is a must-visit.“

“We stopped here on Easter Sunday and were pleasantly surprised they had happy hour specials that day. We ordered the burger and beer special on happy hour. They let us choose any burger or sandwich from the menu, a choice of 3 beers and you also get a small salad and order of fries. It was well worth the $22. The fries were amazing. My only complaint is that the beer was slightly flat and the Philly cheesesteak was a bit dry and lacked cheese.“

Manager Manny Mejia is always on site greeting guests and making sure all customers have an exemplary experience. I have been coming to Urban Plates for years with my family and friends. I love the Plate Pass program that gives me 20% off of my entire bill including wine/beer. The restaurant is always clean even during their busiest times. When it is peak eating times, you may have to wait for a table but, Manny and his staff will try to make your wait as quick as possible. Finally, let's talk about the food. The beet salad is one of my all-time favorite salads. I also love the chciken tenders which are addictive as are the fries. The steak with chimichurri sauce is delicious. I always leave Urban Plates feeling satisfied and happy that I am able to enjoy tasty food prepared in a healthful way. You owe it to yourself to eat at Urban Plates.“

“Insane breakfast burritos! Worth the line. The sausage egg and avo is my favorite. Do not park in the seaside parking lot or you'll get towed... their plate breakfasts are good, too but the burritos are enormous and have so much flavor. Definitely recommend when you're by the beach and looking for a good breakfast.“

“The staff greeted us immediately, seated us, and brought water to the table. Our appetizers CHOWDAH FRIES and Crispy Cauliflower arrived quickly -- as did our drinks. The fries were like New England poutine and surprisingly still crispy with the toppings. The cauliflower was spicy, tangy, but not too crispy, yet we liked it. The drinks were spot on. Two of us got Connecticut Lobster Rolls, one got Maine Lobster Roll, and the other got CLASSIC BEEF BOURGUIGNON. Each dish was perfectly prepared and presented. It is somewhere we will go again.“

Walked away with full belly’s, a great experience and a nice little buzz. Will return if we can get Rocael and the nice waitress who was closer to our age (think post Logans Run). “Brunch :: I havent had a breakfast buffet in awhile and this one was amazing. Fresh omelettes, and so many other delicious treats. I wasnt a guest of the hotel, my friend was and met her here. We had children with us and got attentive service. The wait went by quickly. The place was packed with families but they kept the breakfast area stocked and cleaned. Great experience. I left very full and satisfied.“

“A (literally) hidden gem. The restaurant rests beside a small pond, found only by following a trail from the parking lot. Sitting outside under a cozy heat lamp, my husband enjoyed trying several beers while I had a POG seltzer. The service was fantastic, and the food was the best we'd had in a long time. I thoroughly enjoyed the locally crafted sausages and the baked mac n cheese. I learned that the sauces and dressings are made in house. My husband had the ahi nachos - chips and sauces also made in house. We'll be coming back!“

My waitress even offered to refill and package up my iced tea to go when I left. The name has changed but the old Coffee Mill lives on in the fresh turkey and vintage fixtures. “Not what I was expecting in terms of ordering at a counter (I thought it was a sit-down waitress comes to you type of place) but it worked out nicely in the long run. Food was decent. Staff was very friendly. I also didn't realize the bar was only beer and wine so that was a bummer for me since I drink vodka. All that I would still give it 5 stars. However, I deducted 1 star because the table by the pool table was literally right in front of the electrical panel and a portion of it was exposed. The place was super busy so this was the only available table to sit at while we enjoyed our meal (which was actually really good bar food!). We were just passing through town and decided to stop in to try it out. If I lived nearby I would probably visit this place on occasion.“

“This locally sourced eatery is a terrific place and no doubt a hidden gem in San Diego.I stopped in for breakfast and ordered the breakfast sandwich, which came with three cage free eggs, sharp white cheddar, arugula, a chipotle aioli, on toasted brioche buns. You can add Nueske bacon to the sandwich for an extra fee.I loved that they used a soft scramble for their egg preparation. They did a great job on the eggs. They were light and fluffy. The eggs were very tasty, and the thick cut bacon was very flavorful and had a good chew. I loved that they took the time to toast the brioche buns. The aioli was tasty, the arugula peppery, and the white cheddar had a touch of sharpness.I had a cortado with my breakfast, and it was great. They offer a quality Italian roast. The cafe offers inside and outside seating. They also have grown many of the herbs they use on the premise. They offer great customer service.“

Our waitress was extremely helpful explaining the menu and offering suggestions. We each decided on chowder & a taco. Wife had the New England which gets a 5 out of 10 rating. (plenty of clam & texture but lacking in flavors). I had the Manhattan, which turned out to be the he better choice, earning a 8 of 10. Grilled fish tacos unfortunately were also bland (good quality & presented nicely but again no flavors). “A constant place of gathering for my coworkers and I who worked in the San Elijo Area. This time we met on a weekend for brunch. I ordered a Pannikin coffee and Cinnamon Toast French Toast. Really thick slices of French Toast, I’m kinda weird and prefer thin slices but this was still good. Others got an omelette or a wrap. Everyone like their food, service was nice, bit pricey but in line with the local restaurants.“

EVERYTHING is delicious, from their coffee to their breakfast to their pies and cinnamon rolls! “My wife and I had two delicious sandwiches, and their coffee was great as well. The place was packed when we were there, and we had to wait for a table, but it was well worth the wait. It is conveniently located in a strip mall in Carlsbad with an ample parking lot outside. Give them a try.. you'll be happy you did!“

“Brewery and restaurant in a large open space. Kid and dog friendly.Good parts of our visit:- Food was good. We had the blackened mahi tacos, which were delicious. Highly recommended. We also had the wagyu burger which was fine, but the selling point of the burger is the beef and any flavor of the beef was overwhelmed by the gruyere and gorgonzola cheese and a ton of arugula: I would recommend getting other burgers and not paying for the wagyu, as the flavor is hidden.- The waitstaff. We had Michelle, who was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and overall an excellent server. High marks.The weaker parts of our visit- The wait. We were seated quickly, but after that, service started to really lag. My guess is that they were down a server: there were two for a large space and, for instance, it took 10-15 minutes just to get our check and pay when we were ready to leave. Normal times might not have this issue.- The beer. It was...fine. I had a flight for CBC's own beers (a dark lager, a pale ale, an IPA, and a stout). None stood out. For those who aren't fans of current trends in double dry-hopping everything, this place can work, as the beers were all pretty mild, but none of the CBC-specific beer was particularly memorable or noteworthy. That said, they do have a massive beer selection from many different brewers, so this might just be what we tried.“

“This marina bar, was a pleasant surprise. Atmosphere was relaxing. It took them a bit to seat us, since we were a big group. We had 2 separate tables, which was fine. Our server forgot to take our order, and it took him 30 minutes to realize this. By the time we were served our food, the first table was finished eating. I would not go back there again, if I was in a large group setting. This place is more for smaller groups. The food made up for the inconvenient service. They use fresh ingredients, cooked and seasoned to perfection. I will return.“
