The beer selection and full bar along with the pools class hamburgers, makes this an absolute 5 star joint in my book. “Hidden behind another pizza joint, I suggested we eat here instead. I was honestly thinking they would have pizza by the slice, but their way of competing against the many other pizza choices around the village is different. They offer a menu more than just pizza, including pasta, salad, veggie appetizers, and wine. Their pizza is practically a thin crust until you get to the end. It was amazing how perfect the crust was. It wasn't floppy anywhere and had a good chew. It was wonderful to dip into the leftover sauce from the stuffed shells, which was also great on its own. The pronounced lemon in the filling was awesome; I actually liked that it wasn't just a hint of lemon. The ambiance is intimate, but it's nice where we sat in their outdoor area. The service was OK. We weren't greeted when we stepped inside or as we walked up. The server didn't present our food by name, but rather placed it on the table. I don't think they even said, "enjoy". It just wasn't personable for a small local shop. When we left, however, another server who was working inside said bye and thank you. Guess it depends who you get.“

“Have been trying to get to Lola 55 since last year when my daughter started at school at USD, finally this parent’s weekend my daughter skipped some of the festivities and I made it there. Not only are LOLA 55 tacos, cocktails delicious, but their presentation is magnificent. Their ambient music selection is also great. Not your typical taco stand.“

“We had an awesome double date here! I give it a 5 star because my cocktail (The Black Back Puff Back) was incredible. I ordered a 2nd with little original intention to get a second drink. The come smoke it at the table. The smoky scent while drinking a perfect blend of agave/sweet and tart flavor in tequila is delightful. The seating and layout of the bar had a nice atmosphere. It was community style where a booth could seat 4-8 people comfortably. The service was on par. And you can order food from the surrounding restaurants that they come bring to your table. There's a small service charge but you don't have to tip (or at least feel the obligation) so it ends up being a better deal.“

“Let's just say this place didn't disappoint at all! Back home in Cincinnati we get cutwater from our local grocery store all the time, so when we visited family we had to stop in to get some. The atmosphere, selection and the staff were amazing. Kate was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. Jayson was our bartender, very friendly, and talked us through all of our options. Family friendly and they serve great food. Highly recommend for anyone that's coming in town to visit!“

Divine!Server was super sweet. “A beautiful bar area located inside the Park Hyatt Aviara. We stopped by here on two occasions during our stay, once for Japanese take-out, which was awesome, and once for an after-dinner coffee, tea, and a date at the Top Golf simulator. You have to check in at Pacific Point for the Top Golf experience fyi.In any event, this is a great, sophisticated spot to grab a drink or dinner at the bar. Pacific Point even had live music playing on a Tuesday night, which was very cool!“

“We had dinner at Cocina De Barrio. The ambience is very lively and loud but one would expect that from most restaurants. What was not expected was the cuisine. I use the word cuisine because the food is amazing. The presentation and preparation remind me of some Michelin star restaurants I've been to in San Diego. The staff is very knowledgeable regarding all the menu items and the many bar offerings. The staff was also very attentive without being overbearing. I'm still thinking about the guacamole dip made at our table. I highly recommend eating here. I know we will be back soon.“

“Fun place to people watch. We have regularly supported DXT from the inception and during covid. Yesterday my friend and I were there to celebrate a milestone and the service wasn’t good. She was seated five minutes before I arrived and was given water, a menu and a place setting. Our drink order was taken and I was never given a menu or place setting. Her burrito was delivered 10 minutes before mine and we had to ask for my food and her side (mine was cold). I realize it’s not a fancy place but 10 minutes for a two top with an easy order is no way to handle food. My friend had a burrito and sweet potatoes and I had a taco and beans. She was finished with the burrito before I was ever served. The server never returned to ask if we needed anything but her brought the check before clearing the empty plates and told us he was ‘cashing out.’ It was a $70 meal with a 10% tip. I never leave less than 20% but the service warranted this. Hopefully management will address the very basics of food service.“

“I go to Casero taqueria with my girlfriends every time we go to Carlsbad, the food is so fresh and so are the margaritas, they also have a variety of items in their menu, I highly recommend. I don’t know where the people who rated this place with 1 Star came from.“

“Tried Park Commons on a warm February Friday, just after 12. The main hall was packed with people, but my lunch companion and I were able to place our order at the kiosk and easily find a table outdoors rather quickly. Once your order is ready, you will get a text to pick it up, which is easy enough. The food: I ordered the cheeseburger combo Cheeseburger - 3/5 stars The meat is pre-formed, not my favorite, and it had too much thousand island sauce. However, the vegetables were vibrant and fresh, and that crusty looking bun... anything but! It was so well-toasted it added to the overall flavor elevating what would be an average cheeseburger. Tots - 5/5 stars! One tiny little bag seems to hold a ton of tasty tots! They were cooked and salted to perfection, served fresh, so they were nice and hot. The combo comes with a fountain drink of your choice with free refills. Park Commons is a bit hard to find, but a nice addition to the business center. Some resident businesses are offered a 15% discount. If you are one of the lucky few and are eligible, place your order at the bar where they will key it in for you. You cannot get the discount if ordering at the kiosk.“

“This is probably the best Mexican food that I have ever had in recent years. Their carne asada is to die for - with the most generous portioned meat, cooked to perfection, and not greasy at all. Their grilled fish was amazingly good. So does their fish soup. Love their freshly made hot tortillas and yummy salsa. Because of COVID, they also have an outside covered seating area. Will definitely come back next time I'm in town.“
