“This is the second time we’ve been here and been absolutely obsessed with the food and drinks. Everything is amazing. We live 2 blocks away and our only complaint is that we havent discovered this restaurant until recently. I will definitely bring all my visitors “
“Just go. It's amazing. I'd be surprised if they didn't get a third michelin star this year. Every dish was delicious. I have celiac and they did a wonderful job with thoughtful modifications that honored the original intent of the dishes. We did the wine pairing and same thing. Just do it. The service was SO good. We felt so welcome. Seriously, they're doing a fantastic job.Dietary restrictions: Celiac was accommodated very well. They said allium allergies are the only thing they couldn't really handle.“
“The food here was amazing. We have been here thrice and enjoyed all our meals. They have vegetarian options too. We’ve had vegetarian burrito, chips salsa and avacado and quesadilla. They were all absolutely amazing. However, the ambience was average. We hoped the seating would be more comfortable and nice. The place is always crowded but the good thing is, they have fast service so you don’t have to wait in the queue for long.“
“I’ve been here twice now and only eaten the tasting menu, an option Copas and chef Julio do on thurs/fri. Incredible experience both times, getting different, creative dishes like a Dungeness crab taco and a brisket mole. The price point of the menu and the bev pairing, done by Erica, are fantastic. For the quality-to-deal ratio, this is prob the best in the city. I’ve been to californios, a two star spot and many of the dishes here at Copas would fit seamlessly in there if not outshine them. Chef and Erica are wonderful to chat to and have a o-so obvious talent and love for their crafts. There’s zero doubt I will return for a third time“
“Excellent restaurant, the prices are comfortable and the food is very delicious, I will return soon!Vegetarian options: There are multiple vegetarian options, especially in the burritos, which I always recommend ordering the super size.Kid-friendliness: There are always police officers around the place, the local staff constantly checks to make sure everyone feels comfortable.“
“Good service. Good food. I had a trio vegetarian plate. They don't have many vegetarian options but this was good. Prices very reasonable. Looks a little downtrodden but this didn't affect the food or service.Vegetarian options: Good but very limited vegetarian options.“
“This place is great! A great alternative to the common taqueria style Mexican dishes you’ll find throughout the mission. In my top 3 of Mexican places in SF. I predict it’s only a matter of time before this places blows up and has overwhelming lines! Which would be a good thing! ?“
“1st at all.. I wanted to try this restaurant many times but always I had something to do.. so I've booked here @Yelp for Tuesday.. but it's closed. Actually Monday and Tuesday's are closed. I've finally tried their Quesabirrias... AMAZING!. They taste delicious. I've also order Jamaica water and is perfect. The place is NEAT, good relaxed ambiance with very low noise levels, which for me it's a must. Also, the waitress is super sweet. I'll be back for more food bc I had a late breakfast so my stomach got full with 2 (of 3) Quesabirrias and I'm saving space for the flan!. Flan: it was all my kind because it's in the side of more consistent thick desert. Really tasty I dessert“
“Loved the great food here. It's definitely more authentic than most Mexican restaurants in the area--not a sign of Tex-Mex cuisine anywhere on the menu.Corn tortillas are made by hand, sauces are varied and tasty. We were hungry so no pausing to take pictures. Party of three who ate--chicken enchiladas, quesadilla and pork mole. Only disappointment was that they were out of Esquites--next time!“
“Absolutely incredible. The food here is just amazing with very friendly service. There were only 3 people working front of house along with the bar, so just go in and enjoy your time there. We had the chips & guac, quesabirria tacos, the beef short rib, and the tlayuda. All of it was outstanding. We will definitely be coming back :)“
“As a Londoner, I don’t often get good Mexican food on a regular basis, so I might not be the best person to judge Mexican food. But the shrimp taco (Taco tropical) is honestly the best taco I’ve ever had! It was bursting with flavour, soft melting shrimp and the jicama tortilla added such a twist on the flavour. Every dish really impressed me with a really refreshing cocktail on the side.Really cool vibe in the restaurant and definitely worth trying out“
“This is one of my favorite restaurants in the Bay Area. I honestly don't even like Breakfast Burritos at most places, but the one here is easily the best one I have ever had. In my life. Perfectly constructed with the right amount of greasy chorizo goodness(but not too greasy), perfectly scrambled eggs, creamy cheese and avacado, and crispy tater tots. Plus a nice hot mayo to go with it, there is not a single thing I would change about it. It's probably the best thing I've eaten in 2024 so far.Their birria pizza is also amazing, some of the best Birria I've had in Northern California, and everything on the menu in general is delicious. The owner is super nice and it's a cute little spot in the city. I can't reccomend it enough honestly, a must visit.“
“A fantastic Yucatan style restaurant and Tequila bar ! I've been coming here for 30 years. All the way back to Tommy serving us with his lovely wife and kids Candy/Julio - Julio and his generous pours of Tequila ! Looking forward to getting up there this summer and spending the afternoon there.“
“As soon as my husband and I walked in, the owner welcomed us with a warm smile. We both tried the cheeseburger, the fries, the chicken nuggets, and jalapeño poppers. The food was delicious and the service is excellent. We will definitely be back the next time we visit.“
“I loved the colorful and inviting aesthetic of this location. The gluten-free menu was also delicious! My husband and I had the plátano huarache with carnitas which was perfection! Loved the plátano substitute as the huarache base and the sweet tanginess of the pickled purple onions on top. The mole was also great although more of a spicy kick with a sweet chocolate finish. I thought it was interesting that the salad didn't have a dressing. I would have liked a house variation. The peachy mezcal cocktail has a great name and very smoky flavor - not much peach though. The service was fantastic! We felt very cared for especially given that there were two events happening the same night that we arrived. They fizzled out soon after 6:00 PM and it was nice to have some quiet during our meal before the next dinner rush arrived. There were colorful flower petals on everything and it made me so happy! Make sure to ask about how to get your parking validated at the restaurant. We parked at the Levi's parking lot during the meal, then went to Exploratorium after dark and the parking was free! Would definitely return!“
“Really happy we discovered the North Beach Cantina on a very competitive block. Their taco Tuesday is one of the better deals we've found. We each got 3 vegetarian tacos for $7. She loved hers, and the impossible chorizo I had was better than expected. This place has good music and vibes and the staff is awesome. There will be many taco Tuesdays for us I expect.Vegetarian options: Good place for vege tacos.“
“Where has this place been? Nobody (well, most places) knows the struggle of wanting both sweet and savory like they do! If you feel the same, you have to stop by and order the CDMX which has chilaquiles with your choice of meat, a concha french toast with strawberries, and eggs with potatoes- all in one plate. The portion is pretty big and can probably feed two people or one very hungry person. The inside has a homey vibe and is also very clean. Service was super friendly and welcoming.“
“This is undoubtedly my favorite taqueria in SF, and have found the same quality of service at both of their other locations (on Market St and in the Outer Mission). For the truly indulgent, the Super Taco is still a great deal at $6 (plus tax). If you're like me and mostly skip cheese & sour cream, and if you're willing to forego the avocado, I'd go with the regular Taco which is $1 cheaper. It's still made with onions & salsa, and as always their table chips & salsa are free!“
“Wanted to come to Otra for a while and I was impressed. As a San Franciscan, I get a lil too excited when I see a cocktail under 15 bucks because it’s so rare so..we went with the marg pitcher. Great house margarita.Host was super friendly, service was really quick but my goodness that charred cabbage is one of the best dishes I’ve had in a very long time! My friends were really impressed with the frijolitos too. We went with vegetarian tacos which were too small and too salty so next time I go back I’ll be ordering the carnitas and carne asada. I’d come back for the cabbage alone! Thank you Otra team!! Really fun dinner.“
“Very cool ambiance! The cocktails were well crafted and the food was really flavorful! Only a few cons- the music was a bit loud so sometimes it felt like shouting to have a conversation and it was a bit surprising to only get one taco per serving for the price - but it was a very good taco (the saffron chicken).“
“Great food, great staff and vegetarian options. Just ask and they can accommodate. The hangover breakfast burrito is one of my favorite dishes here. Tortillas are handmade and super yummy.Vegetarian options: They can make some dishes vegetarian. They can add mushrooms and other veggies so your options are not just limited to cheese enchiladas and quesadillas.“
“tldr; quiet, easily accessible street shop with excellent QuesabirriasDecided to visit this place on an overcast / rainy Saturday morning on the strength of some reviews by some colleagues.Parking was generally straightforward which is a nice change for a weekend in San Francisco. The decor is plain but the area is generally clean and welcoming, although seating is somewhat limited (roughly 5-7 tables). Food is self service, and I think most customers were generally coming in for takeout.Since it's self serve, service is not spectacular but I did see what I assume is the owner going around to welcome some customers.I ordered the Quesabirria for dine-in and some Chorizo tortas, but only had room for the Quesabirrias so I took home the Tortas. The Quesabirrias are excellent! Crispy and nicely balanced with cheese. Meat is fresh. It came with some spicy chilli which is pretty strong along with a light soup that was mildly spicy but delicious!Overall I'll probably be coming back here to order more in the future.“
“Call me a burrito connoisseur, but I believe I've been to every taqueria in the mission district to see who had the best burrito. I believe I found it. The place looked clean. You can see when they prepare the food. Everyone wore gloves and was visibly clean. The salsa had just the right amount of veggies and spices and was a perfect mild flavor. Even though I only ordered a regular burrito, it was packed with carne asada. No skimping here, that's for sure. This is the place to stop by for a burrito if your craving burritoes... OLè!!! THANK YOU Taqueria, El Buen Sabor, for being so Burritolicious!!“
“We went here for brunch with friends and can say we will be back! Getting seated for 4 at their outside patio only took about 15 minutes on Sunday at brunch time. They brought water bowl out for our dog and were very friendly about having her there. The food came out fairly quickly, and can say that all of the dishes were amazing. We got the chilaquiles, Milanesa, and carnitas eggs Benedict. Everyone was super friendly and attentive!“
“Just stopped in for the first time, smiling ear to ear… a Tropisueno just a little closer to home? Had the guacamole, they mix it with tomatillo and tomato, very flavorful and fresh… a red roast pepper salsa, chips are very solid, not too hard, and hold a clean oil well. Flautas came with extra lettuce and a coupe tomatoes, some zesty crème sauce…Very pleased with the happy hour portions, price… will be looking forward to the next time, already want to go back :)“
“If you haven’t been here, you’re missing out. The kitchen is incredible and never fails on a single meal. I’ve been coming here since moving to SF. The Burritos are the best in the city, on a flavor scale and even standing up on its own, because come on, if a burrito falls over there’s too much in it. The Tortas are exactly what you remember from Mexico, the bread is spot on! The service is incredible and never pass up on a drink here!“
“I loved all the appetizers we ordered. The corn, the potatoes bravas, the guacamole. I was a little disappointed with the Birria tacos, but that might just be a personal preference on the way the consomme is made. Overall the service was splendid..the folks who took care of us were lovely.“
“I was very excited to eat Filipino food again for the first time in years after I stopped eating meat. ✨ This location was very clean, there's standing coubterop seating inside and plenty of patio seating in the back. During dinner rush, I've seen a line even during weekdays. ⚡ The staff is friendly and the food was ready quickly. ? Got the Señor Sisig Bowl with tofu, medium spicy, and it was OK. The flavor overall was sweet, not savory enough, missing acidity to brighten it up. I don't like sweet chili sauce and it tasted and looked like the tofu was marinated in it. The garlic rice wasn't garlicy. The medium spice level was nice, not too spicy for a whole meal. I'd try the vegan chicken next time. ? Pretty good value, ~$14 + tax“
“This is by far one of the best taco trucks in the area. I have been coming back here for about two years, and I'm finally writing a review. I have tried everything on their menu and only one item I don't like, but it's my personal opinion. Their seasoning it's always on point. In two years, the food is always great. You get a good amount of meat per taco compared to every other truck in the area. Also their price is much lower than the competition. I have tried every single taco truck in the mission district, and this one is by far the best.“
“Fantastic food , not just tortas, enchiladas verdes my favorite and milanesa torta is a must, don't forget fresh juices, love it. Always great super friendly service. Very nice, autentic people. A bit small place but great gem. Don't skip this little place.“
“We found this Mexican restaurant while we visited Golden Gate Park and walked to there following google map. Their complimentary chips are freshly cooked, we especially liked the pairing red sauce salsa. It's delicious. I liked the carne asada taco and al pastor taco. The carne asada is seasoned well and grilled tender. The al pastor taco is paired with mango and has a little bit of sweet taste. The portion is generous and the price is affordable. The owner is warm and friendly. It's a great restaurant worth trying.“
“Had lunch with a friend dusting GDC and thought that the food was delicious. The service was so so, but hey, I didn't expect much as you order, and that's pretty much it.The atmosphere is pretty nice as it's for a bit of charm to it.Definitely recommend as their tacos are superb.“
“Today's lunch: Mexican bowl with carnitas as the choice of meat. It's the super burrito filling served over romaine lettuce - for when I want to skip the tortilla wrapper. Nothing wrong with the tortillas, just nice to have a variation sometimes. If I want something smaller, than a regular burrito, I'll go with a super taco. The staff are super friendly and the shop is well-maintained. You can eat in, there are a number of tables and chairs and even a working TV. I visited before the lunch rush and almost had the place to myself. But I've been here when I've had to wait in line to place an order and then wait for the order - they do get slammed. Haven't tried any of the deli sandwiches or breakfast items... yet!“
“I can't remain silent about this! Colibrí.presidio makes the freshest, most delicious guacamole I have ever had. Pato En Pipián are amazing. Ohmgee don’t forget to try the Birrias (the best)Every dish I have had here has been beautifully presented and tasted delicious. Te El Doña is the bomb ooooops! My birthday cake is so delicious...“
“Very good food, good vegetarian options.Reasonable prices, very good service. They should close the door. A lot of people wear their coats inside at the tables. It was cold. If you can’t eat it all they bring you boxes for take away. Good wine and Mexican bear.“
“I was intending to pick up a burrito across the street but the line was long so I walked into Regalito Rosticeria. Very low key restaurant with great, high quality food. A chicken dish I ordered (white meat chicken on guacamole and sauce with rice and homemade corn tortillas was delicious and a large portion size I couldn't finish. Highly recommend this restaurant“
“Came here last night on my home. I ordered the chicken enchiladas plate with green sauce and super carne nachos. Well seasoned and delicious. Chatting with the lady at the register and one of the cooks who I think were the owners while waiting for my food. Very nice folks. I will be back to try the other items.“
“Vegetarian options: They have specific items on the menu for vegetarians, and I never had an issue with meat getting into my burritos. They dont sacrifice quality when it comes to their serving speed. All of the staff are friendly, and they serve food two blocks from Union Square. It is very convenient.“
“Great little spot with genuinely great food. The service was spot on and you just know there is a lot of care and pride that goes into every dish. We had the beef birria plate and the calabazas a la Mexicana plate and they were both delicious.“
“This is one of the best Quesabirria in the mission! You cannot be wrong by ordering this exquisite dish! Plus the consome is the kickoff that you need. The owner Liz is friendly and always treats you as family. The decor is pleasant and has a Latino flavor as well. Please come and visit this lovely family Latino-owned business“
“Excellent Mexican food and drinks. Came here with a bunch of friends for brunch, and all ordered different things, and everything was really good.I really liked my Quesadilla Roja con Chicharron, which was filled with meaty and cheesy goodness.“
“This place is sooo good it was worth the drive! The place is super clean and fun!The burrito was 10/10, and it is huge. I totally understand why is this price! The guacamole was delicious! The cashier was a really nice guy, and he made sure everyone had their needs met and he didn’t stop one minute! Between cleaning, greeting and etc… he is awesome! You guys are luck to have him!We are definitely coming back!“
“We happened on this place on a nostalgia tour of San Fransisco and it was certainly a highlight. Great neighborhood restaurant with fun atmosphere, and yummy Mexican food. We had the guacamole, cheese enchiladas with chicken and breakfast scramble with chorizo. Very fun!“
“Good authentic Mexican home style restaurant, nothing to write home about but definitely good for a backup plan if somewhere near is booked. Horchata is amazing one of the best I've had. Live performance was very nice and entertaining. “
“This is a great little culinary find in downtown San Fran. Mexican cuisine close to the Moscone Center.Food is fabulous. All food is fresh and handmade. The staff is wonderful and friendly.Vicki is an amazing bartender. The head chef, Eric, knows how to bring the taste of Mexican food to the palate.Clean establishment with beautiful decor.Prices are affordable compared to the surrounding options. This place was so great I had to come back... Twice. Thanks Buena Vida, for a remarkable dining experience.“
“AMAZING food and super nice service! We are tourists from Canada, and had to cancel our dinner plans with another restaurant just to come back again the night before we left? the soup was heavenly. Don’t be intimidated by the surrounding environment. It is really super delicious and suitable for the Chinese stomach. Highly recommend panuchos and their soup“
“I am from SoCal, so I tend to compare it to my local restaurants. With that said, it is definitely good but definitely not 45 mins to 1 hr wait for the food. I can get the same @ Pepe in SoCal in 10 mins or less. That would be my only complaint. The food is definitely delicious. If you are in a hurry, you will be disappointed with the long wait. Their asada was really good.Basically no parking except street parking and that was limited.“
“I'm from Toronto and I loved my experience at Barrio! Mikey is fantastic! His personal touch and explanation of our tequila flight was exemplary. He introduced us to tequila that are better than anything we've tasted before (and we've tasted alot) The blue shell tacos and nachos were fantastic. We looking forward to coming back here next time we in San Fran.“
“The small shop offers a large selection of foods in the menu with interesting Mexican drinks on the shelf. The host is very friendly. I ordered a Latin bowl, and it is tasty, healthy in a big portion. Will certainly come back to try other items.“
“I love how Chipotle serves food really quick. Servers here are accommodating, they took time to accommodate my order requests (soft tacos instead of crunchy, pinto beans on 1 and black beans on 2). Just the cashier forgot to punch in my soda, but it’s ok bec it’s unnecessary sugar. ?“
