We've got South San Francisco's top Mexican restaurants covered for you.
“This is a great spot to buy taqueria burritos, tacos and more. It's a small deli and grocery store. I go to this store for their take out or for items to make my own Mexican meal. I stopped in today for their carnitas by the pound, creama, and avocados to make my own carnitas fries. They have all kinds of premade guacamole, salsa, cheese, tortillas, and everything you need.“
“This place is a hidden gem. Reasonably priced ($7 per sopes) for the amount of food, and still good quality. The sopes itself has an amazing texture and taste. After eating two, I was about to burst. I got the beef loin, and the chicken sopes. To be honest the chicken was mediocre for taste, and I liked the beef loin. Next time I will order the carne asada. The service is standard, but you can see the staff grinding in the food truck. Overall if I want a good cheap bite I will definitely come back here, but I would personally avoid the chicken. Update: I got the carne asada sopes, much better meat choice updating to 5 stars go get it!!“
“The best food from El Salvador are the pupusas. There are very few places where you can find delicious pupusas and this is one of them. The cabbage salsa was not perfect but acceptable. The papas con chicharrón was well prepared and had a very good flavor but very little chicharrón and the tamales had a pleasant flavor but not to my taste“
“A tasty place to stop on the way to SFO. The fish tacos were just alright, but the chicken tacos were TASTY. My friend had a chimichanga the size of her arm and we both tried the horchata, which was delightful. I have a feeling this is a better experience for people who eat pork.“
“Hands down the best taco truck I’ve ever eaten at. Eat here nearly daily for lunch & it’s the most consistent & tasty meals every time. Talk about setting high standards for Mexican food this spot takes it to another level ??? wish they were open weekends! Don’t sleep on this place everything is tops & especially the Quesabirrias??“
“The nachos with carne asada and a michelada! That is a perfect meal.Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian and seafood options.Kid-friendliness: We come with our grandkids and the staff is welcoming to us.Wheelchair accessibility: There are no steps and the restaurant is at ground level.“
“I have been looking for good Mexican Restaurant since moving to California 3 years ago. We happen to be in San Bruno and found Taqueria Mi Durango. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by Jose he was friendly and smiled and when I asked what his favorite was he said fish and shrimp taco so I got one each they were awesome. My boyfriend got the Birria Tacos and he said they were the best he has ever had ( and thats what he normally gets) Everything was fresh and amazing. I highly recommend stopping here for lunch or dinner. Or if you are looking for an event to be catered.“
“What a treat! And whoa to that green salsa! I loved it! Great quesadilla de pollo and the serving is enough for two. A special treat is their open air facilities that is big enough for an event! Overall all was great. Definitely a place to come and enjoy a mellow ambiance, a welcoming group of attentive servers and yummy Mexican Food. #TheBrokerWithAHeartVegetarian options: Burritos - large!“
“Came for lunch with a group. Greeted by amicable staff, quick service. Plenty of options on the menu for traditional Mexican food. Parking can be a bit hard to find, parking garage down the road. Ambiance is nice, indoors has plenty of seating, no wait time. Fish tacos were superb, beans were also good.“
“I came with the family after school for some Friday fun and virgin drinks . Jimmy the manager was amazing , told us about Wednesday $1 kids meals , and Taco Tuesday ! We all ate for $50 total tab and took home so much food after dad enjoyed a few beers ( yes there was a designated driver ??♂️)I love this chevys location !“
“This place is pretty solid. It has lots of fun mexican foods and antojitos (snacks). I came for the torta ahogada but it wasn't spicy enough. I want a near death experience and it was only kinda of spicy. The place was very clean and family friendly. Everything else was excellent and the service was great too.“
“Aesthetically pleasing! We had to return this second time - the service and food was constant with the first visit. For starters we had the tator tots w/elote - such a great combo!! We enjoyed the salbutes with the perfectly seasoned carne asada as well as the tacos. They're drinks can't miss!!“
