“I have been coming to Island Breeze for about 10 years now. This restaurant is a staple as there is very little Caribbean places in the IE. I appreciate the weekday lunch specials, you got a lot of bang for your buck. The food is always delicious - in particular anything that is stewed or saucy. I always stick with rice and peas and steamed veggies or the festivals as those are almost always consistent in quality. I never order a side of fried plantain because they are always a hit or miss. It's either sweet and ripe plantain or very starchy and dry like an eating a Popeye's biscuit without any water (underripe). I'm very disappointed in that aspect as fried plantain is a non negotiable in Caribbean diet (especially as a Caribbean gal myself)!!! The staff has improved. I noticed they hired more people or different people in the last couple of years. The women are friendly and work fast. I really like the newer ladies because they are patient and do such a good job at handling the lunch rush. My favorite lunch special is the curry and brown stew chicken dishes. I like the BBQ ribs but i always order two since the ribs are't the most beefy - still an amazing price though. I enjoy the fried chicken too but my top picks are the chicken stews and the amazing oxtail. I love their oxtail, it's so well seasoned and soft. It's hard not to order it every time. The only thing that can make me give 5 stars is if the plantain issue was addressed. Plantain is too much of staple to not have this addressed.”

“This place has massively improved over the course of several months. I moved here last summer and this was the closest, cheapest Chinese place to my school. But the noodles were bland and dry, and the food, though voluminous to the point of overflowing the container, was not up to par with my favorite Chinese restaurant, Lucky Chinese in Fountain Valley. I'm delighted to say that the restaurant has reinvented itself at the time of writing. The still stupendously massive portions reward the tongue with every bite. The chow mein is bouncy and full of life, with a glossy sheen that was not there before. Best of all, the prices, despite inflation, have remained constant since I first arrived. The family that runs the restaurant is nice, and the place is clean. I wish them the best and hope the place continues to make process improvements.”

We had a few orders, and one of them took over twenty minutes, because they never dropped the fries. 1-30-2024 Again, I like this Del Taco usually, but it is wishy-washy with customer service and sizes of tacos and burritos, meaning they are too small a lot of times. I only go here now, if in the area, I never think to go here anymore. “This Location is the one :). The food quality is really good, you can’t go wrong with it. My go to is the carnitas tacos, the meat itself is very juicy and not dry. On top of the tacos the put the most amazing salsa de aguacate, and you can always add any of the other great salsa options or toppings they offer in their self serve station. My partner really enjoys the Al pastor tacos, they do follow tradition and put pineapple on the taco as well as that guacamole salsa. Another go to is the Birriongos with the consomé, put some of the pickled onions in and you’re aces! The workers here are so welcoming and nice it makes for a nice environment when it’s slow or even if it is a little busy when you show up.Parking: Be careful when approaching the restaurant, you can easily end up in the neighboring restaurant’s lot if you overshoot the entrance to this one. Parking can be limited especially since they share a small lot with other business, those being of the car variety meaning they park them outside for repair.”

Grandson got the 5 pc chicken tenders combo with cajun fries and a drink. I got the Blackened Chicken sandwich. Chicken was flavorful and tender. Just took out the pickles cause I'm not a fan. “On my drive to Loma Linda, California I noticed Dunkin Donuts just off the Washington Street exit off the freeway. It's fairly new to the shopping center. There was a line of cars in the drive through. I went inside to buy a dozen of fresh donuts. They had an assortment of flavors all for the same price except for the muffins and one other special donut. Didn't buy any coffee but its aroma was humming. I noticed they were making a lot of specialty coffee cups. They have great tasting donuts.”

“It's good here. On the pricier side. Only think I would suggest is to avoid getting there right at opening. It wrecks of cleaner and that makes me sick right before going to eat. The chefs are great and hilarious so you'll enjoy if you get teppan. & the Sayaka roll is a must for sushi lovers”
