“First time here, we were craving hotpot after a long day of snowboarding on our way back home. Stumbled across this place.It was $32.99 per person plus additional 10% service fee, which I guess is decent for an AYCE hotpot.You pay up front before being seated and you are assigned a table at that point based on your party size.The pots are individual and you get to customize your own broth with flavorings at the bar. They give you a base broth choice of vegetable, chicken or beef and then you mix in additional flavors as you like.You order 2 types of meat at a time, and they bring them out to you when ready. We ordered the chuck eye and the beef ribeye - pretty good stack per order received and it was a fairly consistent presentation each time.Soup add-ons were self serve as well as veggies and a shabu sauce bar. They did have a sauce guide with ratios in case you needed a reference.They also had soft drink vending, hot tea and coffee options for drinks. For dessert, there was a soft serve machine for chocolate or vanilla.I will say that we had to flag down servers or hosts a couple times when we wanted to order more meat or get more broth but turnaround time and service was quick.All in all, the meat was delicious and it was quite unique to be able to customize your hotpot to your liking.”

I ordered the Papa bowl #1 (I think that’s what it’s called) with Kalbi. That little short rib was seasoned down to the bone, and had a nice smoky grilled flavor. That marinade is the best I’ve ever had. Also comes with lots of fresh steamed veggie, and a very flavorful dumpling. If you eat a lot or like a lot of meat, you may want to order extra meat or try a different bowl. It was perfect for me and very inexpensive for the quality of ingredients. The customer service was outstanding. Very charming and kindhearted lady served me top quality green tea in a cup noodles cup. So cute and charming. Please support this business.”

Had some initial concerns regarding their presentation of some of my favorite meat offerings prepared in their vegetarian forms. It wasn't good. It was DELICIOUS!!!What a pleasant surprise! This visitor ordered traditional meat dishes and was served tasty and very satisfying vegetarian versions. Sweet and sour pork, Mongolian beef and Kung Pao interpretation in vegetarian form were all outstanding and noteworthy. Overcooked and did not care for BBQ sauce.”

The surf & turf burrito, Diablo shrimp tacos, and chicken fajita burrito are ALL AMAZING! My husband often gets grilled or fried fish tacos or burritos and seriously loves them. The refried beans are probably my favorite locally, and I looooove their guacamole (very picky about restaurant guacamole because sometimes it’s overloaded with lime to prevent browning — this is fresh and just-enough-lime!). The service is also great, and they have an A+ selection of drinks for an order-at-the-counter place! My parents also loved it because they have a good selection of items that can be made vegan!Vegetarian options: Beans and rice are VEGAN, and they can make you something special if you ask!”

“Typical Carl's juniors, nothing much different than any other one around the area. But there are some differences. Since the place is relatively new, they have better machines allowing them to search you extremely quickly. There was a weird robot ai thing that took my order that felt really weird, but it got the job done. Overall it is one of the nicer Carl's juniors I've been to.Parking: One of the main drawbacks of this spot in particular though, is that it is a very hard to reach area that might frighten newbie drivers. This is because there is a very tight entrance on the west side of the shopping center that leads to a tight entrance to the drive through. If you are a good driver you should be good though.”

“How it started vs. how it endedI was hesitant to come here based on some of the reviews but it’s near my house and I had a gift card so I had nothing to loose?. I walked in and noticed it was clean, quiet and refreshing. I was greeted immediately and I absolutely LOVE good customer service. The menu was big and easy readable as well. I ended up getting tacos because it’s TACO TUESDAY & guess what, tacos were $2!!!! In this economy you can’t beat that. I ordered chicken tacos and it came loaded with salsa, onions, cilantro, radishes & jalapeño. The meat was FRESH! The tortillas were doubled up and soft and the chicken, was DELICIOUS! So tender(no fatty parts). I mean check out my plate ??? I left crumbs.I will definitely be back for more food and I’ll be trying the enchiladas next so they better HOOK IT UP. lolOoooh! I did use the restroom and as a female I love a good smelling, well maintained and spacious bathroom.
