“We ordered the battered fish tacos and grilled shrimp tacos. Everything was delicious. The wait staff is super friendly and attentive. It was packed in there and almost closing time when we went, but to see all the staff work together and get everyone taken care of quickly and efficiently was cool to watch and experience. The black beans are DELICIOUS! The Zucchini was grilled to perfection. If you haven't tried the grilled corn, do it... you won't regret it! The fries were PERFECT... the crunchiness was uniform on all of them, not a soggy one on the plate!“
“Came here with some friends and had the best time. The margaritas were great, toasted coconut was out of this world. My favorite are the ribeye and the shrimp taco! Chef is great and came out to talk to my fitness and I, can't wait to come back! This spot doesn't disappoint!“
“Tonight was my fourth time at Que Vida. It never disappoints. VERY good food and the margaritas are amazing. They have a menu of several different ones to choose from. The el pastor tacos are the best that I've ever had and I've tried them at many many places. Chicken enchiladas are very hearty- full of meat and very delicious Not only is the food and drinks great here, but honestly the service is top notch. I always sit at the bar. Anthony and Johnie are the BEST bartenders. They are extremely friendly and personable. They also make great recommendations as well. If you haven't tried this little gem of a restaurant, it's a must!“
“Friend recommendation. This Mexican joint is in downtown HB by PCH and the beach. So parking is limited as there is also a market until 9Pm. Environment is nice but something seems familiar? That's right. This place is similar to Los Chollos of Anaheim and Fullerton. For taco Tuesday, you get 3 of the premium cuts for 11 bucks (if paying cash). Paying by cash gets you a discount. They do have fountain drinks so that's a plus and they have the usuals like Los Chollos including the veggie/sauce bar. Depending on when you come in determines how long you have to wait. Busiest time would equal at least 40+ minute wait. Got arrachera, cocina and pork belly. Choose the pork belly because you get a lot of meat and that's a plus. It's very crispy and delicious. Overall, this place is good. It's just finding parking is going to be the dead giveaway but I like it. Would go back if I'm in the area and craving good tacos.“
“You want to try the best roast chicken...come here, the Super package includes 1 chicken, they give you tortillas, Jamaican water, beans, rice and corn and salsa.Inside, I recommend the cesina taco...very delicious, just one detail, don't let a dark-haired lady serve you, because she has a very ugly character, she doesn't know how to treat people, on the other hand, the girl who charges you for the liquor is Super friendly and always with a smile. I recommend the place on weekends.“
“We were in Santa Ana on business, and stopped at Fresh off the Boat Fish Grill the first night for dinner. We went back every night that week for dinner. 4 days we got takeout salads with a couple appetizers. Very reasonably priced and decently sized portions. We tried Greek salad, gyro salad, and filet salad, as well as pita with garlic sauce and cauliflower bites. One day we ate in and we each got Mexican bowl and it was delicious. Everything is fantastic. The homemade salad dressings and sauces are delicious. The staff is friendly, courteous, and helpful. We ate outside one night on the little side porch with propane heaters for warmth and the atmosphere was very pleasant. My husband will have more trips to Santa Ana, and I am positive we will eat here again.“
“Absolutely incredible! I popped it to try one of their mushroom tacos (which was delicious!) and the super friendly girl who worked there let me try the chips & guacamole and a drink on the house. Everything was delicious! I can't wait to come again and again and again!“
“Tried this place out for lunch and left very happy! It was pretty dead for a Thursday at noon but I assume for evenings they get busier. My husband got the OG Platter which came with two tacos, a quesadilla, and a mulita and he was happy with the portion size. I got the Birria Ramen and man was it full of meat. They normally put cheese but I didn't want that with my ramen. The broth is so good and not too oily like other places. I really enjoyed that the meat was not too fatty so you are getting good quality. We also got a churro with lechera and strawberry ice cream which was so good I forgot to take a picture. I enjoyed everything so much I can't wait to go back!“
“We came here on a Tuesday afternoon at lunchtime. There is a taco special that is competitive for the level of service, quality, and ambiance. The staff is friendly. The restaurant is clean. I would recommend this to a friend and I would come back. The portions are perfect. The chips and salsa/dips are really delicious.“
“Tacos Mesita is one of our favorite places to grab a quick and high quality meal. We frequently get the bean & cheese burrito and steak tacos, but tonight we tried the rice & beans and the rice motivated me to write this review; it's SO GOOD! We also tried the churros which were pillow soft and delicious. You can't beat the $2 margaritas on their late night menu either. Not pictured: their horchata. I snapped the cinnamon instead to impart how homemade it tastes. It's made with tiger nuts that make it unique and probably the best horchata I've ever had. Kudos to them for creating a cute outdoor space (with blankets).“
“Let me start off by saying .. i LOVE mexican food. However, I am really not a fan of birria tacos or tacos in general, but I've tried birria tacos before. This is my first time trying this spot and since I was in the area, I thought I'd try. They specialize in birria tacos, so thats what I ordered.Food - the tortilla was perfectly cooked as well as the birria. It was tender and delicious. It is perfectly seasoned. You can really taste the beef. Usually the broth or consome come oily (from other places), but theirs isn't so it wasn't heavy to have with the tacos. The sauce (green salsa) was perfect. It isn't spicy but has a little kick. Also had a taste of their horchata drink which surprisingly ... was very good. Service - I got my food pretty fast, but I probably came at the right time. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The owner himself is very involved and greets the customers nicely. I believe they do delivery too so thats pretty neat.Good truck to have a date with a friend or SO. Go try it!!“
“Found this great restaurant when I was picking up a pizza I order and decided to give it a try. I was so happy to have found an official Birria restaurant so close to my home. I normally would have to go to Santa Ana or L.A. just to get a good delicious birria dish. Now I am so happy I gave this restaurant a try birria is delicious and authentic and the customer service is good. The restaurant is small simple not much of a dine in place or have the ambience for staying to dine in but gave this place a 5 star still because the birria is just so delicious and authentic.“
“Brooooo! Im just gonna put it like this. Ive have tortas in Rosarito, ive had tortas in Tijuana, tortas in San Luis Potosi. These are the best mofo tortas west side of the mississippi!!! 15$ for the torta and the large horchata. On the real when i got my order i thought they gave me two tortas!! Its huge!! Red salsa is fire you have been warned!! Had me crying i aint gon lie on ja. Better torta than Cancuj Juice, better torta than Gallo Giro, bettet than Jugos Acapulco and better yhan Tortas Sinalo! Coming back fosho. YT: The Nava Tribe“
“a phenomenal Taco establishment, some of the best burrito I have ever had. quite a gem. I had El Pollo loco burritos two days before and I think it is safe to say I will never have them again. these are real burritos you know, it's a different thing. the El Pollo loco burritos made me sick but fortunately that did not stop me from my love of burritos. sometimes if you get sick after eating something it gets hard to enjoy that thing. b I learned this in psychology class. the human body is amazing but it is so full of hatred sometimes.“
“I ordered tacos: tri tip, carnitas, and fish. Although not Mexican in flavor, I really enjoyed the beef and pork. I'm pretty sure they added a sweet secret sauce to these tacos (which Americanized it). The fish taco was good but was falling apart. The chips were good, the salsa mild/bland. The line was long but moved pretty quickly. Bathrooms are available for customers only, but line too long to wait. Limited seating. Most people ate outdoors at tables. We sat on the ground. The indoor dining area was very dark (and dingy), and we couldn't find enough chairs. Overall, it was good, but I probably would not go back because there are tons of other restaurants available to try out.“
“The atmosphere was welcoming. The decor was beautiful! The calamari was to die for!!! I had the yellowtail with steak, Brussels sprouts, and mash w/ crab top... my bf had salmon with steak, corn, and mash w/crab top... they both were amazing! Our server Robert was the sweetest and the manager was great. All the staff were nice!“
“Will always recommend this place to anyone. Fast, amazing prices, and great food. The tacos always have delicious spices and loaded with onions, cilantro and salsa. Staff remembers their customers and are so nice and respectful. Do not leave your car in the street with blinkers on though. It's a neighborhood and I see people do this all the time there is plenty of parking please park your car instead of taking up half the road.“
“The Baja Tacos are excellent and very favorable. The food is always good. However, if you are looking for good service this is not the place. The cashier has no customer service skills. He always seems to be angry. The restroom is always out of order. Which is not a big deal because there is public restrooms around the block. The food makes up for the other flaws.Bon appetit.“
“I went here with some coworkers last week. There were 8 of us in total and while this restaurant was on the smaller side in terms of seating the food was definitely worth it. We had several people in the group with dietary restrictions and all those restrictions were accounted and accommodated for. Everyone had a great time and the food was delicious. An emergency unfortunately happened and I had to eat my food several hours later but even then it was so delicious. Personally I think if take out food still tastes good after being reheated in a microwave then it’s a sign of a well prepared meal. I had a street carnitas taco, two hard shell beef tacos, and a chimichanga. Everything was so delicious and very affordable. My whole meal was under $25 and it was incredibly filling and satisfying. I’ve been to a lot of Mexican restaurants and had my fair share of the cuisine and this is definitely a place I would return to!Dietary restrictions: Some people were gluten and dairy free and were easily able to find things to eat.“
“We had the Triple Tacos and the Quesobirria. Both delicious! Order something that comes with the Consume and dip your tacos for the full experience. We tried both the hot and mild salsas. The hot has a good kick but also nice flavor, the mild is tasty with just a touch of heat. Tacos come with chopped onion and cilantro, and lime wedges so you can garnish with your preferred toppings. Will definitely visit again.“
“I can only speak for thr torta. Its in costa mesa so dont expect it to taste authentic mexican. But i believe their target audience is for white people that want mexican food. All good tho. Salsa roja not spicy. They also sell hamburgers. I mean service is great and its not crowded. If you want mexican food 4 stars. If you want mexican americanized food 5 stars. YT: The Nava Tribe“
“The BEST tacos ever and you wouldn't expect it from a small truck-cart. The al pastor is Sooooo flavourful and they give you grilled onions with it. The salsa verde is perfect and super spicy which is great. Our go-to is the quesitaco de pollo y de pastor con todo. It is 100% worth“
“I walked in and I was surprised to see how cheap all the food was (California standards) and I ordered the onion rings and the everyday special (Burger + Fries + Drink for 10.50) and they were pretty good. The food wasn’t master chef food but it was very comforting and fills you up for less, and there are plenty of items on the menu to choose from so a burger and fries were just a taste of what’s to come. The service was great, the owner was super nice and the chefs were wholesome and cool. The restaurant is small but the atmosphere screamed artistic so size didn’t really matter. This restaurant is located near the beach so I understand that its main intention was to give beach people more food for less and I like that. So if you want something to fill you up for less, come eat here!“
“My boyfriend and I were in Huntington Beach for Labor Day weekend and before leaving we searched Apple Maps for a taco truck. This one was the first one that popped up & we went for it seeing that they had 4.5 stars on Yelp! Let me tell you, soooooo good! We happened to go on Taco Tuesday so they had a 5 for $5 special on the tacos! They're regularly $1.50 each which is still super cheap. They were amazing and will definitely be back when in the area! Service was great too!“
“Great consistent food quality at reasonable prices. The pico de gallo is ridiculously good. The grilled fish burrito is my favorite. The place can get very busy during peak times around lunch and dinner. I usually do takeout and get in and out quickly.“
“This review is long overdue, and I hesitated to write it. Tacos El Panzas is my husband's and my all-time favorite. I selfishly wish we could keep it our little secret. It's truly something special. Forget fancy decor and trendy vibes - this no-frills gem serves up the most incredible Mexican food from their truck. Their carne asada, pollo tacos, and mulitas are simply unmatched. Don't miss out!“
“Very good! Cut the meat right in front of you. FYI it’s take out only, no place to eat there but very good food large serving sizes at a very reasonable price. Large steak burrito was about $9. Helps if you speak a little Spanish but not needed. Very fresh tortilla chips made in house and very good guacamole. Definitely my type of Mexican joint without all the fancy unnecessary things, like other places down the street charging $6 for a taco. Muy bueno and would recommend.“
“Casa Jimenez Mexican Restaurant, located in Huntington Beach, delivers an authentic taste of Mexico with its vibrant ambiance and flavorful dishes, offering both classic favorites and innovative creations. This place has become my go-to Mexican food restaurant.“
“Highly recommend this whole in the wall place. Purchased the birria tacos ? and quesobirria they both were great the tortillas are made on the spot they are very fullfilling.. parking is probably the only issue but plenty of it on flower St. And just walk to location. Definitely will be back.“
“Wow! ? Don’t be fooled by the fact it’s in a strip mall. (Also - that means you’re not hunting for parking!) As the exterior hints, this place is intentionally crafted to be aesthetically pleasing, welcoming, cool-casual & family friendly. I was visiting for work & didn’t get a chance to try the food, but it looked amazing! Lots of options & I’d come back to try them if I’m the area. Tried their flagship beer ? & it was crisp, balanced, refreshing & delicious ?“
“These guys are saviors! The staff here is so courteous and helpful. I had some very important office meetings and they let me attend to my work for almost 2 hours. During that time they even lowered the music in the restaurant! A huge thumbs up and kudos for the people here. Cheers and this place is highly recommended if you are looking for some good cold beer and lively ambiance!“
“A truly remarkable Mexican dining experience. Food quality is toward the high end while pricing is toward the moderate. I'd dine here routinely. Also, the bar seating area is appropriately sized for a mid-to-high volume happy hour crowd.“
“It is a nice place, good flavor and very clean, very delicious sauces.Parking: Siesta is full, the parking lot can be parked in front across the street, it's not far away, it's good for exercise.Kid-friendliness: The vanqiutas outside are ideal for family diningWheelchair accessibility: If you have it“
“I like going here because it’s close to where I live and convenient! Their California Burritos are huge and have plenty of filling. I always get a side of sour cream to go along with it. Their chips and salsa are always a good side as well! The chips aren’t always the freshest but they’re not horrible either. I do prefer Chipotles chips more though. I usually get their horchata, there have been a few times it didn’t have much flavor so I’m not sure if their machine wasn’t mixing it thoroughly.Customer service is usually pretty good. It’s a hit or miss if I get someone who is friendly or someone who clearly doesn’t care much for their job.Chipotle is a better option in my opinion but Chronic Tacos isn’t bad for when I want something similar, but don’t want to make the drive!“
“Whenever the taco truck is parked outside, it's a clear sign my workday is about to get a whole lot better. This isn't just your average food truck; it's authentic Mexican food that has never failed to impress me or my colleagues. The menu might be simple, but the flavors are anything but. Each taco, burrito, and quesadilla is packed with fresh, zesty ingredients that are a testament to true Mexican cuisine. The truck is spotlessly clean, the service is quick, and the staff always greets you with a smile that's just as warm as their delicious carne asada.Whether it's a quick chorizo burrito to kickstart my day or a set of al pastor tacos for lunch, I've loved everything I've tried. And it's not just me--everyone at work looks forward to seeing this taco truck. It's the kind of place where after your first visit, they treat you like a regular.I can't recommend this taco truck enough. If you find yourself near dyer & pullman, do yourself a favor and grab a bite here. Support this local gem and your tastebuds will be rewarded with some of the best Mexican food in town!“
“All in all pretty good but just a couple minor things made me remove a star.I ordered 4 tacos, $2 each and $3 for the tripa. They also threw in a small tostada with beans and grilled onions.Tripa was pretty good especially since I got it extra crispy. They kind of made it too crunchy though so next time I’ll just get the normal tripa without extra crispy.Al Pastor was good, but they don’t serve it with a piece of pineapple here.Buche was not that good. It was kind of rubbery and flavorless.Cabeza had a nice soft melt in your mouth texture, but the flavor was also lacking.“
“I know it's difficult to try new restaurants, especially because we "fear" we might not like it and we're going to "waste" our money but don't pass on this restaurant. Take my recommendation and give it a try. My family and i have been here several times ,the food is amazing and so are their prices. Oscar and his wife make a great team, We have tried the Asada breakfast burrito, the healthy omelet, tacos governador, birria, and one of our favorite Carnitas torta. For a small restaurant, they have a lot of options on their menu. He also has weekly specials that you can not pass on. we love to support small businesses, and i hope you can do the same.“
“Great food in Laguna Beach. A good healthy option and the burrito was really filling. The daily specials were good value. Seating is all outside so weather dependent. Lots of people there for takeout. Good option for healthier food especially on a sunny “
“The restaurant is just across the beach, very well located with plenty of seating inside. The food wasn’t bad at all, I got the shrimp burrito.but I would eat there only because of the convenience of the location. Other than that I would rather eat at a different Mexican restaurant. The front receptionist won’t greed you or make you feel comfortable. I waited about 5 min before they helped me out.“
“Amazing service 10/10 so friendly and helpful with the menu and ordering. Flavor is INCREDIBLE we all got birra (tacos, quesadilla, and fries) and everything we had was AMAZING. Consumé was delicious and had just the right amount of heat. We can't wait to come back“
“We met one of the managers at the Mediterranean restaurant around the corner. She suggested we try Gs for brunch We could not make brunch so we came for dinner. Was not disappointed. We had the Oysters Rockefeller and clam strips to start. Both were really good. My neice had the Fish tacos and said they were excellent, I had the chowder which was a meal for sure and hubby had the Cobb salad also.terrific.“
“I've been to my share of food trucks in my day. Recently, this truck started posting up near my work at the corner of 17th street and Santa Ana Ave. After seeing half our staff constantly stuffing their faces with delicious looking Mexican food, I decided to give it a whirl! They offer a variety of menu items that all look delicious. My coworker swears by the quesadilla that looked stuffed with carne asada! I've only got the tacos and don't see the need to venture any further as I'm so happy every time I get them! The Al Pastor is the best I've had EVER! Tacos are better than any brick and mortor place in town! The salsa is really where it's at! Can thank you guys enough for parking next to our place! A must try!!!“
“It's always a fun time with the women who work here! They are amazing and they are the only reason to visit! Not much parking at all, they have a small lot but there is street parking if you arrive after the surrounding business have closed. Before that, you can find street parking. You just may have to walk a wee bit.As for food, they offer frozen pizzas at the bar and some chips. On certain days, they have a guy who grills, but I'm not sure what he offers or how it tastes. There is also a taco woman who offers a variety of dishes. I have had the tacos before, and they were good. Once she brought it pozole, it was my 1st time trying it and this started my journey to find the best pozole around.“
“If you’ve never been to California Fish Grill, i would categorize it as a fast casual spot. They have variety of grilled fish plate options with great prices.I’ve been a satisfied customer for many years and always love going there when I’m looking for a quick healthy option.“
“I recently tried Pepes, and although they don't have a taco Tuesday special, I ordered some fish and shrimp tacos for the family and it was fabulous. Will definitely be going back. If you're a fish, shrimp/taco fan you got to give it a try. very hearty tacos and quality food. John.“
“Even though I am scared to death of Chucky, I decided to face my fear and try this food truck. I had to have their specialty (and namesake), the shrimp, which was delicious, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Also tried the fish taco, which was great, although a little expensive. Service was fast - there wasn't a line, but the food was prepared rapidly. I see that they have a variety of other things, and some customization, including the ability to choose the meat of your choice (or choose vegetarian). Long live Chucky! (And I did not have any evil doll come to life nightmares after eating here).“
“Great, quick place down nestled by a beautiful beach. Highly recommend if you’re looking for flavorful Mexican food for reasonable prices down by the beach. Highly recommend the shrimp enchilada and the catch of the day. Salsa and guacamole was very good as well.“
“Quick food, check! Great service, check! Delicious, double check! This place is great. I was not a fan of the chicken taco, but I mean the place is called fish grill. The shrimp tacos were to die for. Also nice you can have a glass of wine and they bring you actually glassware. Ample outdoor and indoor seating. Employees are nice, hard working, and helpful. This place again is a hybrid of fast casual and sit down, so don’t expect full service, but in my opinion you should still expect to tip since there is service.“
“If you love Mexican style seafood, you have to try Mariscos El Yaki. It's a food truck located in Santa Ana that has been there for years. Before this last time I hadn't been here in years and I'm a tell you the food is always fresh and they nail it every time. My favorites are the Ceviches and the different seafood tostadas. Be prepared to eat, standing either at the edge of the food truck or you might wanna pop open the back of your trunk and eat there. It's part of the dining in adventure. Trust me, this is a must try!!“
“I eat here a few times a week. Not only is the food great I look forward to seeing the staff every week. Today Victor talked with me while I ate my food. His genuine passion for the food and restaurant made me stoked! He could not be a nicer employee and friend. Also big shoutout to Chris! He asks me about my career every week. I'll be coming back here forever!“
