“Excellent BBQ. Do not go here if you are a Vegan. Plenty of food for the money. I got the Signature Sampler (4 meats, potato salad, cole slaw). Couldn't finish it all, had to take half home. Excellent draft beer selection. Sat outside by the fire ?. I've been to other BBQ joints, but this one had the Atmosphere, the meats, great portions, and plenty of beer. A great dining experience. It's times like these that you remember. Just hangin out with your buddies and having a great meal/beer.“
“Solid location for southern food. Price, ambience, service and of course food was great. Though this was my first visit to try this spot. The food was great which deserves a re-visit so I can try their other dishes like the fried catfish plate. I recommend you use try this spot. But know it's not fast food so when you order it is made to order and all food is hot and fresh.“
“This place is a long time favorite of mine. The BLTA and egg sandwich is amazing. Sad that lately they stayed up charging for every little thing like extra mayo and crunch, which have always been included in the already high price before.“
“Went for dinner here on a rainy Saturday evening. The restaurant was very clean and cozy. The service was great as well as the dishes we ordered. Pork belly and seafood were our orders. They went well with a bottle of soju!Definitely looking to come back in the near future.“
“Moana is definitely a Hawaiian restaurant, the owner and their servers are kind and they serve with aloha.. strongly recommend Moana to all the islanders living, visiting Cali..and to everyone that wants to try a taste of aloha.. The food is boombastic Mon...cheeehuuuu.. Seki lava Lii mang..“
“Awesome place for breakfast, lunch or brunch! I went there for the first time with my mother and she got the club sandwich and I ordered the Reuben. they were not skimpy on the corn beef hash. Everything was quickly made and brought to us fresh. I will be frequenting this place a lot more now. Sherri our waitress was attentive and kind.“
“This is a pretty good BBQ place but you have to come early. I got here at 6:30 PM and when I ordered my food they were already out of most the meats I got what was left their Tri-tip and half Chicken with beans and cornbread. Both the chicken and Tri-tip was so juicy and mosit had good flavor and with their home made BBQ sauce it’s a really good bbq. I would most definitely come back to try their other meats. The beans were ok and I wish the cornbread was sweet but it was still moist too not dry at all. They also have a great selection of craft beers from local breweries and a nice souvenirs section with their rubs and BBQ sauce and clothing. Very cool place with indoor seating with TVs at the bar to catch a game and a nice fireplace outside. Most definitely a place to check out.“
“Service was amazing and the food was greatWe came with some friends. Super chill environment for the kids.We had 5 kids one of mine is a toddler. There’s a nice big table in the middle of the dining area. A few booths, tables, a bar, and I think seating outside? Though that might have been for a neighboring restaurant. So not crazy huge inside but at lunch on a Thursday there was space for our group. We did the sliders, brisket Philly, Mac n cheese, jalapeño poppers, BBQ beans and fries. The sandwiches were great! Especially the brisket Philly.Kayla helped us with another one of the worker and I’m totally blanking on her name - so sorry! Both were awesome and chill and super helpful.I saved this spot to recommend to others as well as come again when we’re in the area.“
“The epitome of deliciousness. Everything was scrumptious. I lived in Houston over 25 yrs. This is truly Texas Bar-B-Q with all the southern trimmings. All of the side items were appealing to the eye and were yummy too. Out of the 8 in my party, not one complaint. Soooo good!“
“Had their beef short ribs rice bowl and pork belly for the first time at the San Ramon Farmer's Market. Definitely will be coming back. Best BBQ I've ever had- hands down. The pork belly was so juicy and both the pork belly and beef short ribs were extremely flavorful. I was told the marinade is soy based but it's very unique. Family was friendly. Rice was nice and fluffy and paired well with the cucumber tomato salad (cucumbers were refreshing and crisp).Looking forward to trying more items on the menu next time. One thing to note is the food is cooked fresh so it's best to order and then walk around or do your other shopping at the market and then come back. I had to wait about 20 minutes since they had a long line but it was worth the wait.“
“Ball-tip sandwich is soo good. Only reason I dinged the service is they can be really busy and the way the service works it can take a really long time to be served. But the food is worth the wait. I suggest calling your order in ahead of time.“
“Yummy. Not only BBQ - soups, fried rice, hot pot, noodles - all tasty. This is a low-key, friendly, small, family place - not flashy or necessarily silky service - be ready for that. Still, there was a long queue out the door the night I was there, which probably tells you what you need to know.“
“Berkeley Students' Best Bang for the Buck! New Management Brings a Fresh Culinary Experience!Hello everyone! Today, I want to introduce you to a restaurant located in Berkeley that used to be relatively unknown, with mediocre food. However, now, with new management taking over, it has undergone a remarkable transformation, making it the go-to place for Berkeley students in terms of value for money! The restaurant's name hasn't changed, but the owner has, so make sure to remember the address!First, let's talk about the prices. At this restaurant, $100 can easily satisfy two people with an abundance of delicious dishes! Whether you're a student or a working professional, this price point is incredibly budget-friendly. What's more, the quality of the food has seen a significant improvement. If you're a fan of spicy food, then this place is an absolute paradise for you. Their spicy hot pot and hot dishes will not disappoint. Moreover, if you feel it's not spicy enough, you can request extra spice, and they'll tailor it to your taste.Overall, the changes at this restaurant are truly astonishing. Whether it's the taste of the food or the affordability of the prices, it's hard to believe. If you're a Berkeley student, this place is undoubtedly the king of budget-friendly and nearby dining options. Don't miss out on this opportunity; hurry up and give it a try!“
“The seafood combo plate with short rib is the best Hawaiian BBQ I've ever had! My second time here and they are beyond my expectations. I am always kindly greeted and served my food in a timely matter. The restaurant is clean and tidy. Such generous portions, seasoned perfectly, cooked well, and high quality food. This was my first time trying the spam and egg musubi and I appreciate it so much that they offer this. I've been to other Hawaiian BBQ spots who don't serve spam and egg musubi despite having the ingredients for it! Good move on L&L Barbecue for making the best of their menu. One of my favorite places to get good quality food in the East Bay. Please stay this amazing forever!“
“Sauced BBQ & Spirits is a good BBQ eatery in Walnut Creek. The ribs are tender as well as the sliced beef. The service staff is attentive and professional. I recommend this spot if you want to enjoy delicious and tasty "Q".....?“
“Hawaiian place that plays Mexican music and staff is all hispanics. I cant complain, one of the better hispanic/ hawaiian places nearby. Cultures are close enough to have the flavor down. Food came out decent. Nothing special inside ambiance wise. They charge an extra 4 percent on top of the price if you don't pay with cash. Place looks like an old boba place in the past. Very friendly staff“
“First visit, weeknight, not crowded. Food very good to excellent. Beet trio appetizer superb. Not clear if the 3 dipping sauces were for beets or brisket but good either way. Fiancee had wagyu burger, excellent. I had the combo plate…brisket a tad dry, fried chicken very good, corn bread muffin & cole slaw great. Extensive wine list, top labels. We shared a flight and each had a glass of bubbly. Portion size good … I had leftovers for breakfast. Server Jeff casual but on the ball with advice. Menu somewhat limited, especially for vegans.“
“Really enjoyed their tofu soup (not too oily or dark red in color). However, there were only 3 small pieces of beef in it.I really liked their banchans. Most places only give you 3-4 but they give you 9 here including all my favorites: pickled radish, seaweed, marinated cucumber, fish cake, bean sprouts and glazed potatoes. I also liked that they give the yellow Croaker with the soup as more places do not.“
“Food here is great! Love the Hula Work BBQ meal I ordered. Serving is huge, fulfilling. Authentic Cantonese flavor and service is fast. Enjoyed hearing the chef while he is cooking in the kitchen, brings back memories of some restaurants in Chinatown. Place is also nice and cozy. Good for family or group of friends dining in. Definitely recommended to those looking or craving Cantonese food.Parking: Common parking and free with access to other stores nearby.“
“My wife and I were stuck at home with Covid and didn't want to order another pizza, and we don't use dordash. We were very pleasantly surprised to find out Joyful House delivers! Great food, great prices, and they deliver! FIVE STARS!“
“I have ordered the family meal several times via DoorDash and the food is consistently good. The bbq beef is thinly sliced and tender/flavorful, the fried Island white fish is perfectly fried -- very crispy exterior with moist interior, the galbi ribs are slightly sweet and tasty, the chicken katsu crispy and flavorful (they use chicken thigh meat so it is very moist, not dry). The family meal comes with rice and macaroni salad -- enough food for six. Great value meal! Even with delivery, the fried food is crispy and still warm.“
“Amazing BBQ! We had the Chili Brisket Mac and Cheese, Pulled Pork, Potato Salad and Baked Bean. Incredible food!!! The *best* f-ing cake I’ve ever had in my life was offered as dessert on the counter. They had a tough day as it was the SuperBowl but even with the long wait for food and things being out, I CAN NOT wait to go back and eat more of their food!!!“
“Mama Cho's is a GREAT Castro Valley bistro that serves Korean American fare. Due to it's location, it's a hidden gem that deserves a visit whenever you're in the area. It does not disappoint! I tried the Kalbi Burger and KBBQ Plate - both are delicious. The store carries a lot of Korean food products on their shelves. If you're looking for a one stop shop for lunch and kimchi - this place is worth checking out!“
“Been frequenting kinders for almost 20 years now. You can’t go wrong with their any of their steak sandwiches. And there meat to take home and grill yourself is great. Glad to see with all the expansions that they have kept the good quality food and meat going!“
“Good food and decent price.Hawaiian bbq chicken is the best. I am used to getting macaroni salad, but for some reason it wasn't with this meal.Service was fast. Some seats to sit at.Parking is good/decent depending how busy the other businesses are as well.“
“Came here with a coupon for a half-priced lunch plate. I ordered the "fire chicken lunch plate" with a drink (as per the coupon). It came with two-scoops of steamed rice and one-scoop of macaroni salad. Great amount of food for the couponed-price but not as good a value without the coupon (price was just under $11, with tax). $7.00 more, without the coupon. Food was excellent, as the fire chicken was mildly hot and spicy. The bed of veggies (broccoli and cabbage) was fresh/crunchy. Mac salad was good and the steamed rice was perfectly made. The iced-tea was from a spigot-mix and was awful. The spigot it came out of dispensed more water than tea (so, the IT tasted more like water and less like tea). Cashier was indifferent but courteous. The eating area felt more like a cafeteria but I think they are going for that indoor "Hawaiian feel" (they had outdoor seats too). Pricey choice for CV but food was solid/excellent.“
“We had a great experience here! We were surprised with the quality of burger and salads here and would probably go back here again. The only minor complain would be that it doesn’t have a good vibe inside. It was a rainy day, so next time we will seat “
“I arrived around 11 am, finding the place pleasantly quiet. Placing a to-go order, I was delighted to discover that the food exceeded my expectations, capturing the anticipated flavors perfectly. In an industry that often goes unnoticed, this restaurant deserves a commendation for maintaining consistent food quality and lightning-fast service. I look forward to revisiting in the future, as they offer ample, affordable portions that truly stand out.“
“Delicious food, quick service, and totally family friendly. The owner always seems to be there and clearly knows what he’s doing. We’ve taken our picky 1 year old multiple times and the whole family has enjoyed the food and selection of sports. It’s a great amount of food and very affordable relative to the servings. We’ll definitely be back!Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly!“
“Armadillo Willy’s in Dublin, CA has consistently the best BBQ in the tri-city area. And, in all my years of patronizing this business I have never had a bad customer service experience. It is for both of those reasons that I give them a four star. However, there is one minor problem that I must state. The potatoes in the potato salad are often under cooked. Otherwise, please do not hesitate to give this establishment a try.“
“If you want to try authentic afghan food then this is the place! We had the best dinner here. We tried Bolani Potatoes, Bolani Kadu/Pumpkin and Borani Badenjon. All three items were delicious and very tasty. Their seating arrangements in patio is like middle eastern style facing water fountain. Bolani were crispy and sauces on Borani had great chef touch. The staff and owners treated us very nicely.Vegetarian options: Bolani and Borani“
