“Really liked this little tap room in Davis (once I found it- it's sort of hidden in a courtyard next to a tennis shop). There's a small patio and a moderate sized interior with a small bar and some tables. Wood plank decor and a few silent flatscreens. Wish they would put sound on for ball games. Beers are good. They don't serve food but you can bring food in.“

My wife and I love a good beer and we were not disappointed with our choices. We took home a four pack of Black is Beautiful and wish we had more. “Great service! Owner was outstanding to talk to. The food was impeccable. I got the chicken tikka masala and that is one of the best chicken tikka masala in the region! As well as there naan bread that was sensational and fresh. Also the main reason to go there is for the momos. Todays visit for the momos, the momos lacked some seasoning for their chicken but the dough was always fresh and thick. I don't know why the chicken was bland but it was probably an off day for the cook since momos take a strenuous time to cook. Otherwise any other day I go there the chicken momos are always the best in Northern California! Also there bathroom soap smells really nice. Thank you for giving us the discount as well! “This place has amazing food. Prior to this visit they did have construction going on their public streets, so some things are a bit out of sorts. Staff is ok. I think with all they do with limited staff like everywhere else , they dont have the time to visit like they would. We were greeted, asked if we needed anything else while we waited and that was about it. So if you don’t mind the catering to you service but love the taste of food , this is great. It was our first visit and left with a memorable experience. I guess you make your own experiences but the quality of the food is definitely there. Beer was good too from what I can tell. Prices are now comparable to burger places. I would rather here hands down.“

Was going to just pick up a bottle of wine to go, but ended up sitting next a friendly patron at the bar, chatting and getting a glass of the Zinfandel blend from Lodi and then a 20-year tawny Port, both of which were really good. My soon-to-be fiance (shhh don't tell her) and I get the burritos with pastor, and they're always a reliable source of comfort. The service is super quick without sacrificing the food quality. The chips and salsa bar is absolutely stacked, complementing any meal you get. I hope that every student/resident in this city knows there's Taqueria Guadalajara Grill in South Davis, and it's definitely worth visiting. And please tip generously because the staff is so friendly. I almost consider them family.“
“Went for their awesome lunch deal (order any half a pizza, drink, and either salad/fries. Order at the register, get your number, and sit anywhere you like inside or outside. Their fountain drinks contain Coke-Cola, lemonade and my personal favorite, Ginger Ale. Ordered a Margherita piazza with a Cesar Salad ($10.23 with tax), got the food pretty quickly. A traditional Italian pizza with dough that was super light, fresh, and had some decent char. All the selection of pizzas is delicious, so no worry there if you are picky.A great place to hangout, watch sports, really great pizza!“
“This spot is definitely the best pub food in the area. There are many options for delicious burgers and sandwiches on the menu. I tried the beer cheese burger and shrimp po boy. Beer cheese burger: B Honestly I thought the burger tasted fantastic. Juicy patty smothered with a ton of tasty cheese, plus a sausage on it. The only problem is it's a mess to eat and there was too much moisture so the bun got soggy. Shrimp po boy: B+ This was a great sandwich, well balanced with flavor and texture. The popcorn shrimp taste great by itself and the rest of the sandwich is soft so it's easy to bite into. Fries: B+ Great texture and crispy exterior, salted well. A little too greasy for my preference so I can't eat the entire portion they give.“

Gluten-tag is your typical German Hefeweizen and we loved the banana aroma. Bicycle Rights is one of their popular, award-winning Pale Ales. It's a good one to start off with and compare the rest to. Mr. J IPA is a mosaic and I was hoping for a bit of hoppiness to it. If you don't like something too hoppy, then it's worth a try. FYI, it tastes hoppier as it gets closer to room temperature. Lastly, the Don't Call Me Francis is a Belgian Dark and has a unique taste that might be more fitting for those who like whiskey. Beware: it's much stronger in ABV.“
“I love visiting Philz and the coffee is always good. I’ve ordered on the app several times without issue and it’s always ready in a reasonable amount of time. It is very expensive for a cup of coffee, but it’s a nice treat when I feel like splurging.My main complaint is that I really think they should have a second location in Davis or even just a second story on top of the current location. I know it probably won’t happen, but having a second story seating area with big windows and lots of comfy chairs would be so awesome! While there’s already a lot of seating, I often find that there aren’t any spots available inside, so I sometimes wish they had another location or more space.“
“Always a great spot. I have been going here since I went to Davis 20 years ago. While the structure and ambiance have changed, it is still one of my favorite breweries. The beers are just as good and the staff is still just as nice. I do like the new outdoor area.“
“I came here for the first time a couple months ago so I forgot what dishes we had but they were AMAZING. A little something more than the usual curry flavors I find in many places. The serving sizes were healthy but not huge like one finds in a more family style restaurant. I would get two dishes for two people to share and probably have leftovers for a substantial meal for one. Ambiance was slightly formal, very classy, and quiet. Tiny place but we weren't crowded. Will definitely return!“
“Nice spot in Davis for a Beer especially if it's nice outside. What made me go to this place was the parklet outside and the beautiful seating when Davis is not scorching hot or flooding rain. The bartender was nice and I went during happy hour and got the Mangonada Margarita which tasted pretty good, but not too strong. There was a special beer flight which is 3 beers with 3 girls scout cookies! I'll be getting that next time.“
“Shah's is a truck, and I got it at the football game, so I can't really note on ambiance. The workers were nice! Food wise, it was great! However, the prices were pretty high for a food truck, a friend of mine got their loaded fries and it was about $20! I got a gyro myself and that too was delicious but I do think the menu prices are a bit high, and I wouldn't say the food is THAT amazing to justify it. Also, I think the peppers on top are a really nice touch!“
“Went on a date here and the entire experience was phenomenal. The food was spectacular, the service was great. When you get there it seems really out of place for a restaurant location, but it's got a cool speakeasy vibe which really made everything that much more special, even though it was freezing we sat outside because of how peacefully quiet it was, (our server was very kind and lit two heaters for us.) the garden courtyard wasn't lit up so we will have to take a trip back there soon to see it all lit up it looked very romantic. The food was delicious we got the clams and mussels app, and two specials of the day a gnocchi dish with a truffle sauce of sorts that was really yummy and the pistachio crusted salmon. We also opted for dessert, I could have tried something else, but I really wanted the crème brûlée which turned out perfect and was made with fresh vanilla. Overall I was so impressed and excited to go back soon!“
