“Decent place for a healthier meal that leans into the fast food genre. The food was tasty although I felt the portions were small. Service was friendly and quick. The atmosphere was very cafeteria like and bare. Definitely a place to go eat and leave, no reason to stick around.“

“Everything about one’s experience here is superb. From the moment you walk in until the completion of the meal - it is top tier service. They care about all the details, from the freshness of each ingredient to the suggestions and pairings of items. We started with the olives and avocado salad - the olives were warm and juicy, and the salad was fresh and light. Paired well together! We also ordered both the squid ink special pasta and the truffle - they were absolutely delicious. We also ordered the garlic Parmesan focaccia and finished off with the chocolate mousse dessert. 10/10 recommend, everything was perfect!“

“The service was great and super friendly. Clam chowder is awesome. Nice place to sit outside near the pier and have some oysters and drinks. The squid salad was a little bland, I think if they included more olives in it the saltiness would go a long way. Not enough of an issue for me to give less than 6 stars.“

“Scoma's was one of the highlights of my summer last year. It was at Scoma's that I discovered that I am, in fact, a Lazy Man who requires Lazy Man's Cioppino. The restaurant is lovely, tucked away on a pier. The service was wonderful -- the waitress was really nice and seemed to love the food. The lazy man's cioppino was incredible! A warm, savory, thick tomato broth with perfectly cooked seafood. The mussels and clams were so juicy and succulent. The scallops (3) were so good, fat, and tender. The shrimp was yummy and not overcooked. The fish was well cooked -- not my favorite component, but still good. And of course, no need to get down with the crab shells since the crab meat has been pre-picked. I am a lazy man and this is my cioppino of choice. Definitely worth the price! The Rockefeller oysters were meh; too much cheese and spinach. I've had better broiled oysters (Acme in NOLA!). The oysters themselves were good, but it was hard to tell under the cheese sauce. We were seated next to a couple who had moved from the Bay to the East Coast, and cited Scoma's as a reason why they missed the Bay. I definitely want to return during future visits to SF!“

“Showed up around 10:45 on a Monday and waited 10 minutes. Thee friendliest service I've had in SF, felt like eating at my Uncles house. I've server was very accommodating and friendly, super casual and comfy service. Seafood was crazy fresh with all sorts of ways to indulge. Oysters were by far our favorites, followed by the clam chowder. A beer on tap and ice tea to wash it all down. Iconic!“

“My husband and I love coming to Fogo. For the first time I’m not really happy about it because our waiter Willie, forgot about us, never brought my tag for my lunch, our drinks and bread were over and never checked on us BUT as always Nelson (gaucho) came in and rescued us! He’s always so attentive, nice and looking forward to being whatever we want. We love his service! As always, Nelson… you are a jewel, THANKS!“

“We had an amazing experience at Abrazo with our friends! We tried a lot of tapas and all of them were simply delicious. I would particularly recommend the charred octopus, croquetas, albondigas, and gambas. The paella was exceptional, it was one of the best I have ever had in the States. I enjoyed my Rioja a lot. The restaurant had a very lovely vibe and it reminded me of the restaurants in Madrid. The people were kind and the service was excellent. So, I would recommend Abraza to anyone around.“

“San Francisco, Fillmore. April 2024. A very casual intimate place from the same group as State Bird Provisions and the Progress. They're right around the corner from State Bird Provisions, on O' Farrell, with an outdoor parklet, cozy small tables and a counter in front of the raw seafood bar. The emphasis is on seafood, and especially something you don't see in ther city - local San Francisco Bay anchovies that are filleted and presented the same day they are caught. I felt the Anchovy Bar Tower For Two is the way to go for an introduction. Most of the time you'll find a seafood tower to be predictable - a few clams and oysters, some whole shrimp, a lobster tail, some sashimi cuts of fish, a couple of marinated dishes - nothing to differentiate it from any other other place. This tower is one of the most interesting presentations of flavors and variety. You get a half dozen freshly shucked raw oysters, then everything else on their raw bar! This includes some fresh wedges of cucumber, oysters shooters, spicy clams on the halfshell, bay shrimp aguachile, a squid conserva the doesn't come from a tin, scallop tartare, smoked trout tabboulet, and a halibut taramasalata made with bottarga, olive oil, and lemon juice. Understated, but the most interesting item are the anchovy pintxos - the same local bay anchovy caught and filleted that day, on a spike with marinated roasted red pepper and Manzanilla olives. You will not miss not having lobster. If you don't feel like seafood then maybe some house mortadella with a sweet and tart agrodolce of balsamic and strawberry + whipped butter over a slab of focaccia. Or, duck schnitzel with capers and citrus and lemon aioli - I watched it being prepared and the smell was so tempting. They have a nice list of wine, a couple of apertifs, and some decent fino sherry. Unfortunately, beer is limited and there are no hard spirits or cocktails. Very nice place only a few minutes walk from Japantown. I only wish they had cocktails and a happy hour.“

“This is one of my favorites in the Marina. Constantly very high quality food. I almost don’t want to review it because I don’t want it to get too crowded. They are very close to getting a Michelin star! Omg get the pavlova for desert. Their fish is amazing too.“

“This restaurant feels like it exists somewhere in between what could be a local haunt and a tourist trap. It has a versatile yet contained menu that has a little bit of something for everyone. The burrata appetizer was perfectly executed for a place that isn't designated Italian, and the salad offerings really stood out. I had the ahi tuna and for $20 wish I had a couple more pieces of Ahi but the flavors and seasoning were fantastic. I especially loved the little pieces of sushi style ginger mixed within - delicious. It should also be noted that the service was exceptional, toeing the line between attentive and breathable to a T. They even had an extra kale salad made by accident and brought it over complimentary as we waited for the last of our party to arrive. A+“

“To start off, I’ve never had Haitian food and didn’t know what to expect. After going to T’Chaka for lunch, I’m pleasantly surprised. Glad that I got a taste of Haiti. Food, service, ambiance, and decor is amazing.T’Chaka is located next to Swan’s Market in Old Oakland. Outside - there’s a colorful bright yellow sign with potted palm plants so place is hard to miss.Server was extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating.Decor and ambiance - very colorful and vibrant. Haitian flag stood out to me. A lot going on with the paintings, fish tank, vases, wall fixtures, etc. Definitely feels like you’re walking into a local mom and pop restaurant that will serve authentic cuisine. A bit pricey - around $20 for each entree but the quality and time spent makes it worth.Unfortunately, I am pescatarian so I was unable to try the Oxtails, Jerk Chicken, or Griot. What a tragedy. But my co-worker said Oxtails were flavorful and delicious, went well with the fixings. She finished the whole plate and cleaned the bones off!Shrimp salad itself was flavorful - with passionfruit dressing. They also did not skimp on the shrimp - HUGE PLUS. As exotic as the dish sounds, the flavors went well together. Shrimp was well seasoned with a tangy, sweet, yet savory flavor. The passionfruit dressing itself was light, refreshing, and not overly sweet. Nice palette of flavors, definitely Caribbean-esque.Cocktails and dinner: I would especially recommend coming for their dinner menu or Saturday special and drinks. Cocktails looked very intriguing and would go well with menu offerings.I would definitely recommend this place. Haitian food is super underrated! Take advantage of going during Restaurant Week!“

“What used to be a Mexican restaurant called “Judy’s Place’ in town to the locals couple years back now is called ‘Crockett Cocina’. This place and food is outstanding. I was browsing yelp and saw this on my radar. I had to check it out in person to see based on their ratings. I arrived here with my dad for an early dinner date. Street parking is available. Though the space is small, the place is clean. They provide indoor and outdoor seating. This is a family owned restaurant from the looks and how they act around their customers. I give my props to the chefs, they sure know how to cook it up haha! The pasta was filling and the bread that came with it was soft & crispy. The HouseMade Cioppino with the bread to dip in was to die for lol. And the churros was quite a lot but homemade makes it special! Churros we’re soft and crunchy, came with chocolate & caramel syrup, strawberry, and vanilla ice cream. Overall, the food was great, I’m sure I’ll be back for another visit!“

“Went for an early dinner on a Tuesday and got a table quickly outside. Service was kind and quick. The oysters were great and the chips and dip was delicious. The crab roll was overpriced for the size and my friend didn’t like the flavor. Truly the star of the show was the Old Bay Mayo our sweet server brought out for us. I would go back and try more things.“

“Visited this nice little place on Webster Street on a cold and rainy Friday night. The owner was very welcoming and service attentive. We ordered the Spicy Papaya Salad as an appetizer and 4 mains: Sngor Thhrourk (seafood soup), Spicy Tofu with Lemongrass, Minty Noodles with BBQ Pork, and Singapore Noodles. All of it was fresh, hot and very delicious. It's a good amount of food for the dollar so we all left with extra for lunch the next day. Great spot, good eats, friendly people. Recommended.“

“My wife and I are on vacation in SF and picked Fog Harbor based on recommendation from a family who lives up there. We were able to secure a reservation, were seated promptly at our reservation time and had a very attentive waiter. The blue cheese garlic bread was awesome, but way too much for two people. We split a garden salad and the mixed grill and added crab to it. They have two menu items that are crab in the shell, but you can add crab meat to any other entree. The mixed grill had salmon, cod, shrimp, and the crab. All were excellent. Green beans were the veggie and were cooked perfectly and buttery. We passed on dessert as the rest was very filling, though the dessert tray looked tasty when we saw it go by a couple times. The views of the bay are beautiful with the sun setting over the Golden Gate just as we sat down. Overall, definitely recommend. “Luke's Lobster is located in the heart of the city and jt offers a taste of Maine's famous lobster. Lobster rolls are filled with generous portions of tender lobster meat and served on buttery, toasted rolls. The menu also includes other seafood options such as shrimp and crab rolls, chowders and salads. I find small shrimp roll to be very filling as a lunch option. Crab roll, based on other Bodega Bay restaurants I visited, is just ok. “I love this restaurant. The pan con tomate is one of the best things I've ever eaten. A lot of people complain about the price, but you're getting extremely high-end food that would cost even more at a stuffy restaurant. Everything is high quality and meticulously put together. Also, it's a wine bar. If you want large portions and want to be a glutton then go to Applebees...“

“Walked in to the quiet and unassuming location and left sated and with an overly full belly!I began with a spicy tako salad - a perfect mix of tako, cucumber, seawead and a sprig of mint. Enough spice to feel for a few minutes afterwards while my sushi was being prepared.First up was a trio of Salmon belly, Hamachi belly, and Toro. Each one was more delicated and delicious than the previous. Next were two great pieces of Ama Ebi with perfectly fried heads. The Sexy Roll followed - a mixture of Hamachi and avacado topped with more Hamachi, Green tobiko and jalapeno. My desert round was Mackerel, Scallop, and the Buddhilicous Roll. The service was exceptional and the value for what I paid was outstanding. My only negative was self-inflicted and that's because I only found this spot on my last free evening in town.I'll be back for sure...“

“TLDR: It's the most reliable fish and chip store. I've tried this place at various times in a more than 5 year span and it has always been good. Can and will always recommend. Fish: Batter isn't too thick, and the fish has a flaky solid bite. Crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside with seasoning that won't overpower the mouth. Shrimp: The same solid battering with the same seasoning profile. Shrimp was not overcooked and it provides a different texture compared to the fish. Fries: Fries are fries. It's nothing special, but they didn't mess it up. Clam Chowder: Rich, creamy, loaded with seafood, and it can surprisingly compete with the better clam chowders around town. Service: It's a food truck. You order, you pay, and you get your food. It's not hard to mess it up. Ambiance: The picnic benches under the umbrellas around the truck isn't bad given the San Francisco climate. The tables are sometimes sticky though because they're probably not wiped as much.“

“Such a hidden gem - One of the best Thai restraunts Iv'e had in the Bay Area! They have a main menu that mostly contains the more standard Thai dishes that might see at a lot of other places. But they also have a hidden menu with some really unique Thai dishes that I haven't seen very often here but had when I visited Thailand and this brought back tons of memories! For the 2 of us, we got the fresh raw shrimp appetizer, papaya salad with blue crab, crab omlette, and stir fried morning glory. All the dishes were yum, but the first 2 were quite spciy! Servers are also super friendly and price is very reasonable for SF especially considering its location in the Marina. Highly recommend!“
