“Let me tell y’all something this restaurant would not be what it is if it wasn’t for the waitress Sirena She is so welcoming soon as you walk in she greets you she fixes anything that’s wrong. She’s polite and she made me wanna come back again. She actually is the reason why I ordered extra food. I originally came in to try the chicken and waffles and grits I ordered that with regular grits and then I tasted my friends shrimp and grits and I ordered that too and steak fries to go. I don’t tip. I tipped her because her customer service was just extraordinary. I haven’t been to you guys since 2023 because I didn’t like the food but whatever cooks you have in there now they are on point so I will be back once a week. Thank you for your service. Sirena”

Krispy Joe's Coffee House 5512 San Pablo Ave, Emeryville Coffee Shops • $

“This place is the best! Keeps it simple: Pastrami sandos and a few other items; all done well; always ready when you get there to pick it up.

Folks who work there are super friendly. Couldn't ask for a better sandwich shop. Plus they're open early so you can grab and go on the way to work. Dad's Mustard is my choice, but no choice is wrong at this spot.”

Saucy Asian (Emeryville) 5614 Bay St, Emeryville Asian Fusion • $

“Located on the Bay Street Plaza in Emeryville, on the second floor next to Barnes and Nobles. Saucy Asian is a Korean fusion restaurant. It’s a trendy place and is pretty busy all the way to closing time. We came in today after shopping at the new Tokyo Central across the street for a late dinner. We ordered at 7:58pm and did not receive our food until 8:26pm which was quite long wait for what we ordered. There is some indoor seating as well as outdoor seating.

As for food we ordered:
- Saucy Asian Bowl
- Saucy Asian Fries
- Island Style Poke Bowl (combo: half tuna/half Salmon)

All the food were good, have no complaints, but have had better elsewhere. Overall, if we’re in the mood for their food, we would come back.”

Comeback Cafe 6009 Christie Ave, Emeryville Cafe • $

“Supporting local business in Emeryville. Note that this place is on Christie opposite to FedEx, not inside the public market.

The noodles, while not the best pho in the bay area, they are decent. Both noodles they served came with delicious broth. Unlike many pho places, these didn't leave you with a dry mouth. Wish their beef can be softer and more tendered - that's the only (but critical) place to lose shine. You know - always room for improvement. Can't wait to come back and try their banh mi.”

“Chinatown can be a daunting place to dine in San Francisco due to its vast authentic cuisine which is unlike anything outside of China itself. I don’t speak or read any of the dialect, but somehow managed to order food and drink that was delicious. I’m pretty sure that we created much amusement for the other diners who were rather interested in the ‘foreigners’ selections. Hey, we’re tourists from the UK enjoying our adventures and are used to ridicule thanks to our lousy corrupt government, it was no big deal. Chinatown, great cuisine in very different surroundings. “Service is quick. The grab and go salads are phenomenal. Variety of beverages in their fridge, everything from juices, seltzers, protein shakes, teas low calorie options. Be sure to check out their specials and soups. Had the chicken and vegs soup because i was under the weather and it was like a home styled chicken noodle soup (without noodles). Great low calorie option. They had a special on chicken marsala and it was soooo good.
They have a large menu to chose from for different dietary needs.
Absolutely love their green smoothie and breakfast burritos!”

“We had dinner there tonight (3/14/24) for the first time and we will be back. Two of the most interesting and truly delicious sandwiches we have ever eaten. I can't remember what mine was called, but it had chicken (roasted perfectly), sauerkraut, cheese and other awesome stuff on a grilled rye bread that was excellent. My bride had the turkey sandwich and loved it. But the star of the show were the Tater Tots. Perfectly crisp with BBQ sauce to dip them in and then into some wonderful real bacon bits. Every tot stayed crisp from the first to the last. The meal was worth every penny and more. Get into the Alameda location and try it. You won't be sorry. PS: The only bad part for me is that we live in Seattle and won't be back down until May. But you can bet I will be eating here then.”

Hidden Spot Emeryville 4000 Adeline St, Emeryville Hamburger • $

“My wife and I visited this spot yesterday to enjoy their Happy Hour. The place is small, but perfect. They have outside seating as well. We sat at the bar. We were immediately greeted warmly.

We ordered the Summer drink and the Peach one (Both found on the menu). We ordered the Original burger with fried egg and avocado. It was delicious. The burger was big, flavorful and everything was cooked how I needed it to be (We shared the burger and small fries. It was enough for 2). We ordered more drinks: Chocolate martini (Not on the menu, but ask for it...so delicious), we had tequila shots and my wife had a Mezcal drink prepared by the bartender (Not on the menu, but it was tasty).

The bartender was funny, accomodating and amazing. So amazing that I did not even know he was the owner!! Lol.. his name is Mike. He such a cool down to earth dude. Like very personable.

I definitely reccomend this spot!”

“I would eat here again if I was staying at the Hyatt house again. 5 stars for atmosphere because it is close enough to enjoy your food in your room! It is a good atmosphere outside by the truck too but not lots of seating or cute decor if thats what you're looking for.

I was given a free beignet, fresh and hot to enjoy while I waited.

They didn't have the burger when I was there and I was between the mushroom sandwich or a chicken thigh pita. If I could go back, maybe next time I would try the chicken pita. “The young man (#006) who served me on 9/9/25 was unusually polite, considerate and extremely helpful. It was quite unexpected. Subway food is not very different one store from another. Differences among stores are mostly location and customer service. The latter is usually either ok or subpar at Subway. Some stores charge extra for toasting and won't allow the use of gift card, can hardly speak English, and sometimes are downright rude. How refreshing to be served by this wonderful young man who patiently responded to my requests, always with a smile. I regret not getting his name, he is tall, a big guy, young and so friendly. Thank you.”

“We placed the orders online and picked ithem up in the store. When the scheduled pickup time arrrived, the app told me the orders were ready. But when we got there, the food was not ready, and we ended up waiting for about 10 min. The timing could definitely use some improvement.

I ordered the salad bowl, the portion was generous, and the ingredients were freash.”

“Booked Hong Kong East Ocean for my birthday dinner. I wanted to eat Salt and pepper crab. My reservation was at 8:39pm, it was very quiet on a Tuesday night. The venue reminded me to f a 90's wedding hall.. I ordered Ginger scallion crab because it was the only non spicy option besides steam crab;which was delicious and I ordered a beef and bell peppers dish w/steM rice.”
