Visiting from Michigan - this is hands down the best meal I’ve had since I got here almost a week ago. Tried several Mexican places within an hour or so of San Diego, including the infamous “Taco Stand” - Los Tacos blew them all out of the water.

Best shrimp tacos and ceviche I’ve ever had in my life. One of the owners was present, working alongside the staff behind the counter. You could sense a mutual respect among them. He was also very friendly and attentive to all our food questions and made recommendations, which we appreciated greatly. Wish I would have taken photos, will add if I am able to return a second time before going home!”

We sat by the glass overlooking the ocean with a fire pit lighting our table and keeping us warm.Great atmosphere! Listening to the waves below.We had the prawns with shisitos, the clams, and the fish tacos. All of it was amazing. My favorite was the prawns with the chimichurri sauce. Divine!Server was super sweet. We were there near closing (6pm closing for food) and she was helpful to make sure we knew to order right away.

For over 50 years now, Gerry has also been famous for his great home made food, also for being kind to the underprivileged and homeless, hosting Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, which draw 500 to 600 guests every year. It’s always been free to.anyone who can’t afford it or just a $3.00 voluntary contribution. Alice is very passionate about her job and we loved her homemade desserts sooo much. Dining room ambiance a little stark. Nice decorations, but the acoustics are too much echo and often a little cold and sterile. Need some house plants acoustic absorbing panels in there .

“Holy cow! Stop by today while I was on a short road trip. These are the best fish tacos I've had in the San Diego area! They were delicious and only cost $2.50 each because it was Tuesday. I ordered three but two was all I could eat because they are huge! I would never eat an old fish taco, but I'm taking this one with me, and we'll eat it later for sure. Trust me, anyone in the area, I would highly recommend making a point to come here and try their fish tacos! customer service was wonderful. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Anytime I'm in the area, I will definitely come back!

“Indian/Nepalese cuisine is one of my favorite cuisines. I am South African and grew up eating eating variety of traditional curries and stews. I travel a lot for work and have had the fortune of trying some of the best Indian restaurants in the nation, including dozens of places in SoCal. Everest Himalayan Cuisine is by far, the best restaurant I've ever been to. This cozy casual restaurant opened in November originally for take-out. I am a big fan of dine-in, so I was excited to find out that they recently opened for dine-in. I came with my best friend (we're always looking for new favorite restaurants). We decided to get a couple things to share. Started off with the Lamb Momos. They were such a wonderful treat. For Entrees, we went with the Lamb Tikka Masala and the Butter Chicken with Cilantro Garlic Naan. While eating our Momos, an adjacent table received their Tandoori Chicken and Lamb. It smelled and sounded so good, we decided that we would have to order more (we also ordered Chicken Vindaloo and Chicken Tandoori). Our food came, and when I dipped my Naan into the sauce, I nearly cried it was so good. It reminded me of a better version of my grandmas famous Tikka Masala. It's was then, that I knew this would become my new favorite place. It was so flavorful and luscious. All the meat was so tender. The Naan was supple, while pillowy and stretchy at the same time, (clearly proofed perfectly). Every dish we tried was the best iteration of the dish I've ever had. I usually order my food quite spicy (9-10), but if you like a flavorful warm heat, get a 5 to 7. We ordered another order of the Cilantro Garlic Naan to get every bit of the sauce. I know I'll be back soon. I really would like to try more of their dishes and their desserts. They also have a nice Lunch Special, I'd like to try. “This place is great! Don’t go expecting any culinary masterpieces or nurturing health bowls-but you knew that! As the name would imply, it’s fast food—plain and simple. But it’s done vegan, and it’s done well. The burgers are great, great nuggets with a nice variety of sauces. Breakfast sandwiches. Milkshakes, also a vegan take on the classic “Blizzard” called a Snow Day. You know the flavors—most of us grew up on them. As much as I love my mushrooms and kale and grain bowls it’s nice to enjoy those nostalgic tastes every once in a while. “Used to go here 20 years plus ago. I feel like it was better then. The service was just horrible. Literally had to go find the lazy waiter to order. There were 4 tables eating. The food is still pretty good depending on what you get. Pancakes are great, sausage and bacon on point. The patty melt was about dennys quality. For $20+ dollars a plate (late bfast $125 for 5 of us) I would maybe expect a made to order patty, not a frozen one. Lots of frozen and canned products.
The owner has always been really nice and it’s a decent spot, just not what it used to be. I think if the service from the other staff was good I may return but not when I have to go track down the waiter for everything we need.”
