“I cannot understand how Momoyama has anything less than a perfect five star rating.
We weren’t aware that it was single seating omakase as we happened upon this restaurant. We arrived an hour before their seating and they mention we had to make a reservation. We ended up getting the last one for the evening. We shopped around the area until it was time.
When we came back, the manager, Ryan, greeted us by name and guided us to our seat, even allowing space for my purse. There were seven total guests for the evening all seated at the bar in front of the chefs.
Ryan kindly introduced the chefs and everyone made us feel so welcome. He recommended the most delicious sake I have ever had, and continued to monitor our drink levels, refilling as needed. We didn’t need to ask for anything even once.
The food itself was one of the top three meals of my life, and I’ve eaten at many sushi restaurants, and Michelin star restaurants. As a fan of sauces and soy sauce, I was worried there wasn’t any offered, but each bite was so perfectly balanced I didn’t need anything else.
The pacing of the meal was appropriate, and I remarked how smoothly each dish came out considering this can be quite difficult with multiple parties and different eating speeds. But we never felt rushed nor like we were waiting on anyone.
The care and attention to detail was present in every morsel, every moment, down to the elegant quiet jazz music. Ryan and our chefs made warm chit chat without disturbing our dinner. We felt comfortable even with the high quality of food and service (which can sometimes make one feel like they need to “perform formality”).
The evening was the most delightful surprise and I can’t wait to go back. I will never stop recommending Momoyama to friends and visitors for the most elegant and delicious sushi in Orange County.”
“First time eating there, very nice place food was delicious and the servers was great 😊”

“The best place to try Bosnian food! I can’t pick one favorite, from cevapi to pizza to pita , this food taste like homemade. All employees are nice and friendly, but the owner is an amazing human being, so humble and approachable, honest and relatable, love chatting with him every time we visit Cali, which is usually 2-3 times a year and we make sure we eat lunch and dinner at Sofra Urbana every day. See you soon! Can’t wait for the most delicious Bosnian food on the west side of the United States.”
“We had a great dining experience at Urban Plates in Long Beach. Mariana explained the menu choices in a very unrushed manner, and we decided on the steak. I ordered the Chimichurri grass-fed steak with balsamic brussel sprouts and herb-roasted potatoes. All of it was delicious ( and healthy too!). The deserts were absolutely killer too. We will definitely eat here again next time we're in Long Beach.”
“Daniel super friendly and kind server! We really appreciated the kindness and alert to attend to my friends that we invited to Nep Cafe for the first time. They all love the food, ambiance, and the server. We will all come back soon ^^ Thank you for the best food and Daniel!”
“This is my favorite raw vegan restaurant! They also have a large menu of cooked vegan (or maybe that should be the other way around). I haven't tried their cooked food, but it looks absolutely delicious! I have not been to LA or the area in many years, and I am missing Au Lac!”
“Very tasty! I got the soy sauce fried chicken and soon tofu soup with dumplings. I would eat another plate of chicken right now if I had it. I got medium spicy soup but it was pretty mild, someone else at our table got very spicy and said it was mild as well. I'll probably try it a level or two spicier next time, but your mileage may vary.”

“This place is the real deal. Easily one of the best fish and chips I've had in Orange County if not the best so far. You might convince yourself the near $30 price tag at places like santa monica seafood would give you better fish and chips but it's not the case. the batter here is crispy and much more delicate. not heavy and greasy like the beer battered options. I paid $12 for 3 giant pieces of fish. the value is fantastic and the quality is good. only complaints are that the inside can use a thorough dusting (don't look at the fan) and that the fries have potential to be a lot better. tbh if the fries resembled something closer to European chips I would pay another $10 for this plate happily.”

“I’m so happy I found this place. I don’t eat out often as quality of food and ingredients are very important to me, but this place satisfies that while also offering great tasting food. It’s food you can feel good about eating. Will definitely be coming back here!”
“Ugh.... First the driver delivers half of our order with half of someone else's order. We ordered 2 small pizzas, large chicken caesar salad and 2 large meatballs. We received our two pizzas with someone else's small pizza and mozzarella sticks. We called the store, told them what happened. The other lady missing her food had already called. So they will send a salad and meatballs (and yes, we offered to pay for the extra pizza and mozzarella sticks). 45 minutes later the salad arrives with NO dressing. And 8 tiny meatballs... Bummer!!! PS: We still love you FCP!”

“We came in an hour or so after they opened on a Friday and there was only one other table occupied.
The food was amazing!!! We ordered the spicy cajun edemame, crispy pork, and tom yum seafood fried rice. All three dishes were wonderfully prepared! Great job to the chefs!
The only thing lacking was the service, but the staff was young, but I would venture to guess that they will learn and the service will get better in time.
We will definitely be returning soon and recommend giving them a try!”
“An Evening at Kin Izakaya: Where Tradition Meets Ambiance In the culinary haven that our city embodies, Kin Izakaya emerges as a sanctuary of authentic Japanese flavors combined with the convivial spirit typical of Japan’s iconic gastropubs. It’s here that tradition and modernity collide to create not just a meal, but an experience worth savoring. The moment you step through the doors of Kin Izakaya, you’re greeted by an atmosphere that’s both lively and intimately comforting. The ambient lighting, coupled with rustic décor and understated oriental motifs, offers a welcoming reprieve from the city’s hustle and bustle. The soft murmur of patrons engaged in animated conversation sets the backdrop for an authentic izakaya experience. Kin Izakaya’s menu is a harmonious blend of traditional Japanese fare and innovative culinary creations. The tapas-style dishes, perfect for sharing, encourage a communal dining experience. From the delicate flavors of their sashimi to the robust, savory notes found in their yakitori selection, there’s a delightful complexity in each dish presented. The agedashi tofu, with its perfect crispy exterior giving way to silken tofu within, is a testament to the chef’s prowess in honoring traditional flavors while serving contemporary palates.”
“When we arrived, we were a few minutes past our reservation but the restaurant had no problem seating us immediately. They selected a really nice spot for us and the host and waiter were both friendly. It took us a bit to order, and the waiter accommodated us and even commented on he understands because he also has kids. Overall the food was great and the prices were right in line with what you would expect to pay for a good meal. We will continue to return to this black angus.”
“I moved to Louisiana a couple years ago and miss this place sooo much!! Mama is so sweet. She always took care of me! One time my blood sugar dropped while i was waiting for my naan and she fixed me up a little plate so fast and sat with me to make sure i was ok. The food there is delicious! I can’t find it here like they make it! My favorites are vegetable korma - saag aloo - and chicken tiki masala!”
“Sushi Koto is always a treat for me. I love to come here for what I feel is the next best thing to eating in Japan. There is always a wait for Sunday brunch, but they do take reservations. Excellent service and friendly staff. This is definitely not your ordinary neighborhood Japanese restaurant. Highly recommend it!”

“You have to come by when Big D’s Blazin BBQ is there. Awesome Tru Tip & pulled pork food! No reason to leave the pool game to get something to eat. Laura serves awesome drinks.”
“Ordered a variety of items and my expectations were blown out of the water. I could not recommend this restaurant enough. As a very frugal individual, I would gladly pay anytime for this echelon of quality. If you are looking for a top notch Japanese grilling experience, this restaurant is THE best if not one of the best choices you could decide on.
The servers are also very nice, and the atmosphere is cozy. 10/10!”
Takeout Restaurants
“Most underrated, sushi spot for miles around, HB/FV (trust me, I eat a lot of sushi and i know what's up). I live in DT HB and drive to fountain Valley just to come here. Great rolls, great prices. Small place though, so it gets busy sometimes. I'm shocked there isn't an hour long wait every night. They keep to the basics, for the most part. Nothing too exotic, just solid, solid rolls and sashimi. Best salmon skin roll I've ever had. Best Hamachi kama. Best fresh, hot green tea. Fire in the hole roll, 747 roll, yellow rose roll, baked lobster roll... you can't go wrong. Karen and Daniel put it down for FV. Not a fancy place, but best value by far in the HB area.”
“Moonlight Pizza and Chicken – Hidden Gem -Middle Eastern / Mediterranean buffet
I came across Moonlight Pizza and Chicken while exploring near Westminster and it turned out to be an incredible find. They offer a Middle Eastern open buffet that’s truly unbeatable for the price — $14.99 for lunch and $15.99 for dinner. Honestly, for the variety and quality, it’s an amazing deal.
The buffet spread is full of authentic flavors — the lamb stew was juicy and flavorful, the stew was rich and comforting, and the tabbouleh, hummus, and fresh salad options were top-notch. Everything tasted fresh, vibrant, and perfectly seasoned.
What makes it even more special is that this is a family-owned restaurant with over 30 years of history. You can really feel the warmth and hospitality in the service — the staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming. They also offer catering services, which I can easily imagine being a hit for any event.
The food has a wonderful blend of Turkish, Armenian, Arabic, and Persian influences, making the flavors both unique and familiar at the same time. It’s a place where you’ll want to go back again and again, not just for the food, but also for the atmosphere and kindness of the people running it.
Great value
Authentic flavors
Warm, family-owned feel
Definitely a spot worth visiting — delicious food, amazing people, and a buffet deal that’s hard to beat.”

“The food is fantastic, the staff is very friendly. There is plenty of seating if you want to come with a bigger group. The outside seating has plants all around and looks gorgeous. Place is very clean and well maintained. The prices for the food is nice , you get amazing portions for the price. It is definitely become one of my favorite spots and will come here more often when I'm around the area. If you haven't already you need to try food at this spot!”
“Flavor flavor flavor so bomb. I think everything is made in house. They have like 200 different types of baklava. Hahaha. I think it's 6 or 8 but they also have a rice pudding that's really Good. Come to think of it. I've never been let down on anything I've eaten at this place. I believe it's family owned and operated. I live an hour and a half away every time I'm in the area. This is my go-to spot”
“Great service 👏 they actually answered the questions I had ! especially on the ice coffee horchata
They make their horchata by scratch they don't add no powder horchata, which I was very satisfied
The cookies are huge and delicious. My wife loves cookies, so she was very happy that I brought her here at this cookie spot 😋 and the banana pudding. It's great too ! The ice coffee horchata was 💯 really, really good they add cinnamon powder on top for free because there's other places that charge extra fee for some cinnamon powder 👍 if you're craving something delicious like cookies and ice coffee horchata. This is the spot!”
“For 20 years, after we have a family get together. Its been a tradition that we all have breakfast at the Magnolia Cafe before we all part ways. It’s always clean, the food is always delicious and the service has always been wonderful. It is truly a special establishment!”
“I just wanted to say thanks to Madie and the tall young man with brown hair on Oct 24th thank you for making my first time at Papa Z's restaurant amazing and fun! You both were funny and handled my crazy new friends ordering food/ at the table. My BBQ chicken 🥗 was yummy and had lots of my favorites- no tomatoes perfect!! Hope you all have a lovely fall season and God bless!”
“This is the perfect place to get freshly roasted whole beans, or ground to your desire. When I say fresh, I mean today or in the last couple days! Good prices and truly nice and knowledgeable staff and owners. Quality beans from around the world, even flavored the way you want, and great teas, too. Many high-end bakeries and restaurants use their beans, too.”
“Kobe Sushi is one of my favorite sushi spots for as long as I can remember. The Black Pepper Tuna roll and Sashimi platter are our top choices. 100% recommend!”

“One if the best Pho's in the area hands down. The broth is VERY hot which i love. Ive had the chicken, beef, and shrimp pho and all are consistenly good. The noodles are firmer than most places but it works well since the soup is very hot and the noodles don't turn to mush.”
“Breakfast burrito was better than expected. It was very good actually, fluffy, not burnt, eggs, crispy, not oily hash browns, country potato's, and plenty of flavorful meat.
I have a hard time taking a pic of my food before I eat it. I really don't know how people do it 😜”
“You know why you're here. This is the place you go to for big portions at a great deal. Everything is super tasty and the ladies helping are all super friendly. I share a combo with my fiance and we always have leftovers. Cheaper than eating fast food and bigger portions”
“Hidden gem! Needed a quick bite with the kiddos and tried this place. Glad I did because the food was amazing. I got the blue cheese bacon burger and it's one of the best burgers I've had. Patty cooked perfectly and all ingredients compliment each other. Yummmmmm.
The chicken tenders are better than average and good enough for the kids. They loved the shoestring fries so did I. They had a 2 player arcade cabinet that kept them occupied while waiting for the food.
Great place! Would eat here again!”
“I got the banh khot tom and they were so gooood! Light and crispy, goes so well with the sweet and sour fish sauce, remember me of the banh khot I had in Vung Tau a long time ago. A reminder to tell the cashier how much you want to tip as they can only add it before coming to the total bill, unless you do it in cash.”
“Great Food and very friendly staff one of the best hot pot in Southern California. We highly recommend it to everyone who wants to try all you can eat hot pot.”
“Dining at Tsuruichi Wagyu is an unforgettable experience for anyone who appreciates the artistry and flavor of premium Japanese beef. From the moment you step inside, you’re welcomed by an elegant yet cozy atmosphere that sets the stage for a meal that is both refined and deeply satisfying.
The star of the menu is, without a doubt, the Wagyu beef. Each cut is carefully selected for its marbling and tenderness, and the quality truly shines through in every bite. The A5 Wagyu was nothing short of extraordinary—rich, buttery, and melt-in-your-mouth tender. Whether grilled to perfection at your table or prepared in one of the chef’s expertly crafted dishes, the beef here is a masterclass in flavor and texture.
The Wagu experience is highly recommended for those who want to explore the full range of what Tsuruichi Wagyu has to offer. Each course is thoughtfully presented, highlighting the versatility of Wagyu in both traditional and innovative preparations. The pairing of sauces and sides, from the delicate ponzu to the house-made pickles, enhances the meat without overshadowing its natural flavor.
The service at Tsuruichi Wagyu is impeccable. The staff is attentive and well-versed in the nuances of Wagyu, providing helpful recommendations and ensuring that each guest’s preferences are met. The attention to detail, from the presentation of the dishes to the timing of each course, adds to the overall experience, making it feel truly special.
The ambiance is intimate yet sophisticated, making it an ideal spot for a romantic dinner or a special celebration. The combination of luxurious food, exceptional service, and a serene atmosphere makes Tsuruichi Wagyu a standout destination for any Wagyu enthusiast.
Overall, Tsuruichi Wagyu offers a dining experience that is both luxurious and deeply satisfying. It’s a place where every element, from the quality of the ingredients to the elegance of the presentation, is designed to celebrate the art of Wagyu. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to indulge in one of Japan’s finest culinary traditions.”

“They have the best Canh Chu Ca! Really really. My family has been going for years. We crave it. When we tried to go on a Tuesday and they were closed we went elsewhere but it just wasn't as good. Mirada cooks the fish so that it is still so succulent. The flavor of the broth is perfectly balanced and tart. Please give this place a try for healthy Vietnamese food.”
“This is one of my go to spots to study when I wanna do work at a cafe. It’s pretty convenient to sit at where you can get a drink and some food.
It’s decently busy so there’s enough noise to keep my brain occupied when working and there’s usually at least a table or two open when it’s busy out. Some spots have outlets too and there’s WiFi to use.
Drinks are like every other 7 leaves, but you can have it either in a Togo or here cup. I usually get the parmesan fries if I want a snack or the ham & cheese croissant.
Very aesthetic and pretty inside. Also, I like the playlist they have in there.”

“I frequent many different Peruvian restaurants and this place is definitely authentic! The food is delicious, the staff is very friendly and welcoming, it feels like you’re at Abuelita’s! The atmosphere is full of culture!”

My French toast sticks are spicy....😳 The AM crew is nasty ! I've had a medical problem and my husband goes in for me so I can eat before I take my meds, I can't cook. He doesn't want to go in here ...Anymore 🥺 Thank you Wendy's for allowing these kind of people to work here ! 😔”
