“Cute atmosphere with exceptional service and delicious food. Great spot for brunch, and would heavily recommend if you've got the money to spare. It's a bit pricey, but the quality of the food is worth it! The ham was a bit tough and I would have preferred a sharper knife to cut it with, but it still tasted delicious and would absolutely go back.“
“Whether you are popping in for a glass of wine before shopping at Sepulveda next door or having dinner of their wonderful specials that change daily (check Instagram), you will enjoy your experience at Juan Jasper. Lots of lively conversations between the staff and patrons (while still being attentive), varied and upbeat music playing just loud enough in the background, and a direct view of the kitchen makes for a wonderful atmosphere. A small act of consideration and respect by a customer is rewarded by the generous proprietor. This is what service and dining should be. You can see why folks happily wait to get a seat at this local gem. Cannot recommend enough: great for lunch and dinner.“
“I went here cause of the large number of 5-star reviews on google maps this place has. I wasn’t disappointed. Very efficient service. Loved the ambience of the place. The breakfast croissant sandwich is a unique offering in the area and honestly it was so good.“
“Gluten free, dairy free, protein-packed donuts. They are not just good, they are killer! I randomly walked into this place with a friend, not expecting to get anything but his usual coffee order, and saw their amazing looking baked goods. I never can get anything fun at coffee shops with all of my food allergies, but when we asked, the barista let us know that not only are most of their treats GF, but also dairy free!!! The lemon lavender donut blew my mind, it was so amazing. Might even be one of the best donuts I have ever had, even before my allergies hit. I cannot wait for another excuse to be in Coronado so I can get another one.“
“The food at Donny's is always delicious. Donny, the owner, is always in a good mood, starting conversation with customers making them feel like friends even though it is the first time they meet. I love this small, cozy, cheerful and welcoming place.“
“Came here for the first time to celebrate a friend birthday. We had the bottomless bubbles, which was a great deal, and really enjoyed the three juices. we also acute espresso martini and our friends drink. They actually wrote happy birthday. I had chili and I thought it was delicious. The weight staff was very friendly and the ambience was very clean and prestige. I will definitely be back..“
“What a darling space. Truly marvelous on the inside.Came to catch up with a friend and thoroughly enjoyed our drinks. The barista was enthusiastic about what was on offer and I appreciate a good recommendation! (I do wish they served their X-Factor drip, though. It is AMAZING. You are missing out if you don't grab a bag!)Much love to a shop that provides resources and community awareness. It is so important and makes the extra circling for parking worthwhile.“
“Came in on a busy Monday but only had to wait 10 mins! Never had been to this place before but was delighted by Sebastian who accommodated us well and who always was checking on us. The food was so good and loved the crepes at the end very yummy veryyyyy yummy!“
“Probably my new fave Cafe in DT SD. The staff are so kind and personable. The Pastries are out of this world delicious. We tried their tiramisu, rose and prep macaron, and lemon cake?I forgot what they're called, but it was soooo good.I also really love their signature orange latte!!!The space itself from the outside looks small but it is bigger inside, the decor gives off very monochromatic, calming vibe I will def be coming back!!!Edit: I went back the 2nd time to try the basque cheesecake and omg it was so decadent, light and fluffy. I couldn't stop eating it. All of the desserts I've tried so far has HIT. And yes, I got the orange blossom latte again, decaf with oatmilk - it was 7pm when I went“
“This is one of the best spots in Southeast. Get plugged into the community while sipping some great drinks and enjoying some surprisingly quality food. It's worth going out of your way for if you're not in the neighborhood; but if you're already local, you're probably already here.Parking: Limited street parking, so you may need to walk a bit.“
“It's food you can't find anywhere else. The Francesinha Portugal is such a unique sandwich, and the Pennsylvania Dutch smoked sub melts in your mouth. The croque monsieur and croque madame sandwiches are out of this world. Outstanding service and location.I rank this place 5/5 on service, friendliness, quality of food and European flair ambiance.“
“We finished eating at Buona Forchetta and wanted to continue with drinks. Kindred was packed so we came to Harland. So glad we did. We got seated immediately, great drink options and great prices! It was too cold to sit outside but great if you have fur babies.“
“C-Level is a San Diego treasure. The menu is so yummy and the view is amazing. I had the "skirts on fire" salad and it's one of my favorites anywhere. My aunt had the ahi avocado stack and it looked delicious. Our server, Mindy, was friendly and attentive. .“
“I actually had no idea this was a vegan place, but it was a nice surprise since I usually have to worry about dairy content. I'd heard some say the hot chocolate was too mild, but I think differently: my iced chocolate was mild, but it's nice for the chocolate to not be overpowered by sugar. You can actually taste the dark chocolate, and the drink itself is light and pleasant, with nuance in the chocolate that deepens as you drink it. For me, almond milk was the winning base, but they also offer coconut milk and soy, among other choices. The ambience is very pleasant, it's a small place but charming. Friendly, fast customer service. I do think the pastry selection leaves much to be desired.. but the truffles looked delicious. Will try them next time for sure!“
“AWESOME! loved the food choices. All the food in the menu is served all day. Coffee/tea open bar is unique and very cool. Grab a menu and seat yourself - love it. Super fast service. The freshly squeezed orange juice is amazing - we have travelled the world and tasted freshly squeezed orange juice everywhere and this is top. Georgie was our waiter…super friendly. A++.“
“If you are a coffee lover, stop by Coffee Hub. This is the best cup of coffee I've had in San Diego so far. I had a vanilla latte and it was well-balanced, not overly sweet, and I could taste the floral and fruity notes of the coffee well. The tones of the coffee were supplemented by the milk and light syrup. The food was also good. My brother had a breakfast burrito and the salsa which came with it was subtly spicy and delightful. He also had a matcha latte. The matcha had a delicately toasted flavor. Overall, just wonderful drinks.“
“Good place for an expensive bite delicious bite. I love how the servers are accommodating in the beginning but forget about you after the food was delivered to the table. The place is small but cute. Only recommendation is for service to remain the same throughout the whole time.“
“Our quest for a quality cake within our tight budget was arduous until we discovered Frost Me. Prior to finding them, we had tried numerous cakes from different vendors, each failing to meet our expectations either in taste, ability to deliver, or affordability. With just six weeks left until our wedding, we were losing hope until we discovered Frost Me.We were immediately impressed by the taste and quality of Frost Me's cakes. The frosting was perfectly balanced in consistency, texture, taste and mouthfeel, while the cake itself was a delightful combination of moistness and fluffiness. The cake was not only delicious but also had a fresh and light flavor. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the unique churro flavor, and even my discerning husband, who fancies himself a cake connoisseur, was thoroughly impressed.Having a three-tiered, elegantly designed, and delicious cake was crucial to fulfilling my our vision and ensuring our guests had a memorable experience. Additionally, Frost Me accommodated our gluten-free needs flawlessly, providing a gluten-free version that tasted just as amazing as the main cake.Audrey, the talent behind Frost Me, was not only professional and knowledgeable but also artistic in her approach. We were incredibly grateful that she was able to take on our wedding on such short notice. The simple yet elegant design they crafted perfectly complemented the overall aesthetic of our celebration. We wholeheartedly recommend Frost Me to anyone in search of a top-notch wedding cake that exceeds expectations in taste, quality, and design.Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free Wedding Cake“
“This is an amazing hole-in-the-wall Cafe. It's run by mom and pop with amazing and tasty pastries. I'm a big fan of their empanadas. They come in beef and chicken. Soooooo yummy and flavorful! The kind lady that runs this Cafe is so so sweet and so welcoming. I've only went twice so far because I was craving empanadas and the place I usually go to ran out, and the kind lady remembered me from just meeting me once. She's so sweet. And everything else is just as amazing. So instead of the other place I usually went to, I'm only going here from now on!!!“
“Loved my visit to Seven Sea Roasting and I think you will too, read more to see why:1. Let's start with the coffee, it's great! Tastes like they know what they are doing. Perfect temperature, great flavor, all around great. Highly recommend for the coffee.2. Service, there is something about San Diego coffee shops where I walk in and get a drink a few minutes later. It's amazing. Super fast and high quality. Also, the people working were kind and helpful. Helped me find a treat for my daughter who can't have gluten.3. Love the details in the space. Awesome aatmosphere. For coming at 7:30 in the morning the place was active. Seems like a spot a lot of people enjoy. Good attention to detail.Highly recommend checking this place out, see photos to get a sense of the space.“
“Coffee fact: While Brazil may grow the most coffee, Finland drinks the most coffee!A New Orleans Iced Coffee ($6.60, 2% Milk), an Iced Hibiscus Blood Orange drink ($4.00), two Lemon GF cookie ($4.50 ea.), and three Salted Chocolate Chunk Cookie ($4.00 ea.) were order. I was going to see my niece later that evening and she was going to be given a salted chocolate cookie and one of the lemon cookies but I'm a terrible aunt and really liked the salted chocolate cookie so I kept all three for myself. ;)They have a window area to see into the kitchen if you're interested in watching them make their baked goods. I will admit that the drinks weren't it though. The New Orleans Iced Coffee tasted watery and the Iced Hibiscus Blood Orange drink wasn't balanced with it leaning more towards hibiscus than blood orange. Oh well. You can tell this is a well-loved spot in the neighborhood. There was even an adorable dollface Persian kitten sitting in the patio that looked as pleased as can be being outside Lofty Coffee Cafe and Bakery. Stop in, grab a cuppa, and enjoy a leisurely stroll down Little Italy.“
“Came here for breakfast. Service was fast. I was seated almost immediately and my server brought out a cup of coffee for me to start on right away. This guy worked fast and monitored everyone in his area like a hawk. I decided on the Greek style omelet with egg whites, feta cheese, spinach and olives. I also ordered a tall glass of fresh orange juice which he brought over immediately. Sounds delicious, I thought. While waiting for my omelet, my server came over to refill my coffee at least 3 times - one time he filled it after I had only taken 2 sips of coffee lol. Wow, I love this guy! Every restaurant server in America needs to learn from him. I don't think the wait for my meal took more than about 6 minutes. He brought out a beautiful piping hot dish with a bowl of fruit in the middle that looked delicious. I dug in as I was pretty hungry. It was good with a real strong Mediterranean flavor. The only issue I had with the omelet was there were just too many olives stuffed inside which overpowered the rest of the ingredients. I pulled out at least 10 olives and now the meal tasted much better. The meal was a little pricey at $28 but the food was good quality. The fruit was fresh, the coffee hot and satisfying and orange juice tasted freshly squeezed.“
“I finally tried the pumpkin waffle and it was lighter than I expected and was delicious. Friendly service, few people there the last hour before closing. The parking was a test of patience.Parking: Beware the parking spaces are in high demand and the parking meters are not always in working order. Twice the parking meter I was at did not work. I was so excited to find a spot and then had to move once because the meter was broken. I learned my lesson from a time before when I was given a ticket. It was drizzling and the meter to the left facing the restaurant was malfunctioning. The interface was hard to read because of the elements. I guess they malfunction in the rain. I wish there were more parking options. I miss free street parking.Kid-friendliness: It's a smaller place, the chairs and vibe are more adult-y. The chairs are more for couples and the seating is tight. There are many other better options for kids.“
“The atmosphere was amazing, super chill employee and very nice. The prices were very reasonable too, and best of all the coffee was actually great, I've been to many coffee shops that have a wonderful environment but terrible coffee and this is definitely NOT one of them. I recommend it to anyone in the area or just passing by.“
“Great little South Bay Coffee Shop! I got the Dirty Topo Chico and my fiance got a Peanut Butter Latter. Both were excellent and fairly priced! Supporting small businesses during these times is very important, don't settle for overpriced chain store coffee.“
“The look and feel of this place is cozy and easygoing. They have some smooth jazz playing, which is refreshing. There was a great selection of drinks. The pastries look really good, and the coffee is also fresh and taken care of. What really got me was the food!I got the eggs Benedict and oh my God I have never in my whole life ever had a ham steak that tasted this incredible! I didn't even recognise the ham at first because I was expecting an entirely different flavor and texture like every other ham steak I've ever had. These guys do it justice! The rest of the eggs Benedict was just as carefully created.“
“One of my go-to coffee shops that I visit monthly to get freshly roasted beans. They have a long list of coffee beans, along with roasting dates and a little backstory on the production of the coffee beans itself. They even sell 5lb bottles of coffee beans. Their prices are reasonable compared to other roasters in SD.Parking: They have only a handful of parking spots inside but there is a good amount of street parking.“
“Had a delightful experience at this out-of-town gem! Whenever I'm traveling I like to try the breakfast burritos around town. The Cali breakfast burrito is a must-try, truly top-tier. The bacon and sauce complimented each other. Just a heads up: extra napkins will come in handy!Sorry I didn't take a picture.... I ate it too quickly.“
“Amazing drink with friendly staff. I got the ice matcha with lavender cold foam, it was very delicious, my boyfriend got the vanilla latter and it was tasty as well. I had to come back the next day, and they were still amazing. Definitely, check them out when you are in town.“
“Well rated Mexican & Guatemalan eatery in a National City strop mall. You could almost miss this place because it looks like a small takeout w a funny name, but it is worth the stop. We had a very healthy Veggie omelet w house potatoes & (buttery) pancake side along w a bowl of Oatmeal & a skillet breakfast. Everything was tasty & delicious. Great salsas too, red & green. Lots of new stuff on the menu that I want to try when I go back!“
“AMBIENCE: Came here at the buttcrack of dawn LOL no one else but my friend were here. Long old school diner counter and booths lining the walls.FOOD: Good food! my eggs benedict was tasty and the potatoes were seasoned! I wasn't expecting generous portions though, so that was a nice bonus. Coffee was decent.OVERALL: Depending when you go, you'll be hit with either a line or being the only ones there. And it's a super short walk to the beach.“
“So happy I was able to experience this lovely cafe. The gentleman behind the bar was there was so pleasant. He answered all of my questions and engaged with each customer in a such caring manner. For dinks they had coffee, regular kombucha, and hemp infused kombucha. (There were probably more options but that's what I saw)Both flavors of the hemp infused kombucha were delicious. That was my first time having hemp kombucha and it totally relaxed my mind and body. I ordered 2 Jamaican patties cabbage & tofu. I had to wait a while because they were being made fresh. When they came out both were so delicious they were seasoned, soft, flaky, and had the right amount of spice. My picky 5 year old loved the tofu patty. This is the best cafe I've ever been to. It's afrocentric, healthy, and everything is of the highest quality!“
“The Turkish baked goods served in his cafe is out of this world. It is freshly baked and is so delicious ??????Kaya, the Executive Chef is a very welcoming person and is so professional. The price is very reasonable and the portion is good.If you happen to be in the hearts of Downtown, San Diego, CA. This cafe is a must, the Turkish baked goods are available in the afternoon after 1:00 Pm. You can check out No leftovers Catering and Food Truck in Instagram, Facebook or Google If, you want them to do catering for weddings or events.“
“The BEST coffee on this street!! The staff is so friendly, the coffee actually tastes like coffee and isn't too sweet and the iced teas are so refreshing. They have vegan pastries and as a non-vegan I promise they taste so good. Plus it's a great spot to study or bring your laptop if you wfh.“
“This is my favorite bakery in East Village. My two favorite pastries are the cinnamon rolls and the almond croissants. Favorite sandwich is the Gobbler. what makes this place special is the service. Dani and Armando make me feel welcome the moment I come through the door.“
“Here almost every Friday during lunch and every time it has a very relaxed atmosphere, always greeted and served in a professional and polite manner. I always order the green tea so I can only speak for that quality and preference because I think Tap Ex tea lacks strength and flavor but that is just my opinion. The owner Rick is a great God fearing family man and that is a plus for me also.“
“Ordered lunch, arrived to this location to pick it up, and realized i had ordered to a different downtown location. The woman working the take out section kindly had the order remade for me at no cost. Really excellent customer service and felt compelled to write this review! Plus, the food is delicious.“
“Great little hidden cafe! Located on the 4th floor inside the civic center (must enter building). Tucked away in the back as you enter the 4th floor. Very decently priced food (best priced food I could find on Google maps for breakfast/lunch in the area) and nice options!“
“Hidden health Cafe/Coffee bar on third avenue. They open at 5:30am Mon-Fri! Great way to start your day. They have a variety of smoothies/coffee flavors and treats. Staff is very nice. I wanted to tip on the pinpad..but could not? Cash only. I hope the owner changes it soon. Recomend coffee heads to try it out muscle heads! ? and every1 in between“
“It's a coffee shop and a book store!! Omg!! I am so happy!! The place is chill and really cute. I love the concept so much. The coffee is amazing!! I had the horchata coffee, which is delicious! My doggo got some water and my daughter got the matcha. We all love our drinks!! The service is fast! Both baristas made our drinks, so it came out super fast! Would definitely come back and try more items!! It's a good vibe coffee and book store!“
“Loved their coffee. Very smooth, not bitter. Had the breakfast sandwich on a brioche bun and it was delicious. Highly recommend this place. Not a lot of seating and there is a 69 minute time limit for drinking coffee or 90 minutes for food. It wasn't too busy when we went so wasn't an issue.“
“I’ll walk here for coffee on some mornings. The coffee here is more my taste and style and excellently crafted each time. The part that touches my heart is the consistent warm welcome upon enter the establishment from who I believe is the owner.Parking: On the corner in little Italy; plan for street or lot parking unless walking.“
“So glad I had a Blue Bottle right next to where I was staying! They open earlier than other spots and have a great assortment of coffee + tea drinks, pastries and other breakfast items. Do try their fresh Liège waffle, it's amazing. And they make the very best oat milk latte. Their staff was very sweet as well, it's a great Blue Bottle ?Dietary restrictions: They have many vegan options.“
“If you want to delicious old school retro diner in the heart of Golden Hills, you've come to the right place. It was our first time and this place has an Art Deco vibe from the outside. The waitress pointed us to a booth and it was so close that our knees were touching. We asked to move but the waitress pushed the table which somehow created a bit more room for us. It worked well enough. I have to say that the food was really tasty. Probably the best turkey melt and fries I've ever had, and that's saying something. There's a sign on the wall that says that the movie K9 was filmed here in 1988 and a photo of John Stamos is beside it, both of which were interesting. Also, a few doors down is a fantastic Mexican bakery. The drawbacks to this restaurant are that the decor needs revising and there are all these signs up saying that you can't stay longer than 90 minutes (crossed out, now 60 minutes!). We weren't going to linger but sheesh, are we being timed? Overall, we'll be back for the good food and we'll ask for a more comfortable table. Enjoy!“
“Got the Jalapeño Cheese Bagel sandwich with cream cheese and also a croissant sandwich with cream cheese. Very good! Also got a shot of espresso over ice with two pumps of caramel and some half and half on the side. The drink was very caramel rich, as if they might have used actual caramel instead of the syrups. It was all good.“
“Cute coffee/ dessert cafe located in little Italy. We stopped by on our way to salt and straw ice cream shop. We ordered a slice of carrot cake, espresso brûlée, caramel latte and a latte. The desserts were delicious!!! Inside and outside seating available. There is an up charge if you don’t pay with cash. Fast, prompt, efficient service. Pet friendly. Friendly, inviting ambiance. Reasonable prices.“
“1st time here and food was top notch! Huge sandwich! I could only eat half of it! The lady rang me up by mistake wrong and took 3 bucks off and gave me free fries for it so good service and the meat they use boars head is good quality! I ate at #4 Yelp's top 100 restaurants in the country other day it was a deli and this place is actually better! You cant go wrong and they have about 20 sandwiches to pick from! I will be back!“
“Great local coffee shop in a tough area to find quality coffee. They made me a latte that was absolutely perfect! The prices are a bit lower than other places.Parking in the front is typically easy to find, with parking meters that are not expensive. Only cost me 50 cents to park.“
“One of the jewels in San Diego. A really good menu with many options and possibilities to choose from. Either hungry, not very hungry or just feeling to get something light, here is the best option near to downtown area.Parking lot is most of the time full but, there is plenty of space to park nearby. Remember that people come to play Golf at the course here and parking is always busy.Although there are not many tables, if there is waiting to be seated, they normally go very fast. The food is delicious and tasty. Portions are good enough to satisfy anyone's hunger and coffee is good.“
“Really sorry that I didn't stay for breakfast this morning............I was hoping to make you my breakfast stop.............but this morning I noticed that you were at least one person short and almost a full house...........sorry I usually don't have the time to wait in a big line............if you have the time to wait the food and drinks are very good............but if you're looking for a quick grab and go spot............this one isn't it.........it can be a good hang out or date spot...........but plan to be stuck in line and wait for awhile“
