“Ciccia Osteria is a gem of authentic Italian cuisine in the heart of Barrio Logan. The chefs, Mario and Francesca, use recipes from Northern Italy and pair them with exquisite wines. They even bake their own panettone, a traditional Christmas cake. The restaurant has a cozy and charming atmosphere, with food made with love. However, parking can be tricky, so I recommend taking an Uber. They accept walk-ins, but make sure to dress warmly in winter, as they only have patio dining. The menu has a variety of dishes to suit every taste, but my personal favorite is the mushroom flan. It is creamy, savory, and simply delicious. I also enjoyed the milanese veal, which was tender and crispy. The smoky old-fashioned cocktail and the roccotta olive oil spread for the fresh bread were also amazing. And of course, I could not resist their lasagne, which was rich and satisfying.Ciccia Osteria is my new go-to place for Italian food in San Diego. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their dishes. If you are looking for a genuine and delightful Italian experience, you should definitely check it out.Ciccia Osteria has earned a Bib Gourmand designation from the Michelin Guide. This means that it offers good quality and good value cooking, which is rare to find these days.Parking: Take an UberWheelchair accessibility: Ease first floor.“
“Been going here since I was a kid. Was super bummed out when they closed the original location. So happy when they opened this one! They kept the same recipes and the family still owns it. They're awesome too! Favorite pizza in spring valley by far and I'd put their bread sticks up against any. They're the best.“
“Gluten free, dairy free, protein-packed donuts. They are not just good, they are killer! I randomly walked into this place with a friend, not expecting to get anything but his usual coffee order, and saw their amazing looking baked goods. I never can get anything fun at coffee shops with all of my food allergies, but when we asked, the barista let us know that not only are most of their treats GF, but also dairy free!!! The lemon lavender donut blew my mind, it was so amazing. Might even be one of the best donuts I have ever had, even before my allergies hit. I cannot wait for another excuse to be in Coronado so I can get another one.“
“I recently tried TNT Pizza for takeout and was thoroughly impressed! The crust was perfectly crispy yet fluffy, and the toppings were fresh and generously portioned. The flavor combinations were unique and delicious, leaving me craving more with every bite. Overall, TNT Pizza exceeded my expectations and I'll definitely be ordering from them again soon!“
“I had not been for over two years. And boy has this place grown for the good of the community. Although the shop looks very different and larger, it still has a familiar feel. The quality of the service and desserts is spot on. The only recommendation to improve the experience is the quality of the coffee . Either sell good coffee or don't include it in your shop.“
“We came for the first time in 2015, eclair was very delicious. My sister and I decided to have breakfast at Partfait yesterday. Egg benedict was a little salty but delicious. It was lighter and more delicious when made with a croissant. My favorite this time was Nutella Cruffin. If you like Nutella, you should definitely try it. Of course, I will go again at the first opportunity.“
“I loved my experience here at the pancake house. They were pretty fast getting our breakfast out. Our entire time only took about 30 minutes. They have such a wide variety of menu items from omelets, pancakes, to even crepes and waffles. I got the two by four with the substitution of the banana pancakes. They were very well made and had soo much flavor. The eggs were amazing. The only negative I’d say is the price, but for being in San Diego, it’s kind of expected! I highly recommend this place for a nice hearty breakfast!“
“Perfect for a sunset or evening treat. Food is a little pricey but delicious. Across is the seaport village and other entertainment in the area. Last time i went Anthony was my server and he was really attentive and made my experience great.Wheelchair accessibility: First floor no steps“
“Service was alright.Food was meh. I've been here before and it feels like the quality went down a little. Their Jurassic bacon was barely cooked, the french toast were bland, the mascarpone and the strawberries tastes old. The s'mores french toast was average.“
“Informal place to eat delicious pizzas, I recommend the normal cheese one and the chicken one. Good prices for the area. Fast service although the place was quite dirty, there is no staff cleaning the tables or collecting the waste that users leave on them.“
“Our quest for a quality cake within our tight budget was arduous until we discovered Frost Me. Prior to finding them, we had tried numerous cakes from different vendors, each failing to meet our expectations either in taste, ability to deliver, or affordability. With just six weeks left until our wedding, we were losing hope until we discovered Frost Me.We were immediately impressed by the taste and quality of Frost Me's cakes. The frosting was perfectly balanced in consistency, texture, taste and mouthfeel, while the cake itself was a delightful combination of moistness and fluffiness. The cake was not only delicious but also had a fresh and light flavor. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the unique churro flavor, and even my discerning husband, who fancies himself a cake connoisseur, was thoroughly impressed.Having a three-tiered, elegantly designed, and delicious cake was crucial to fulfilling my our vision and ensuring our guests had a memorable experience. Additionally, Frost Me accommodated our gluten-free needs flawlessly, providing a gluten-free version that tasted just as amazing as the main cake.Audrey, the talent behind Frost Me, was not only professional and knowledgeable but also artistic in her approach. We were incredibly grateful that she was able to take on our wedding on such short notice. The simple yet elegant design they crafted perfectly complemented the overall aesthetic of our celebration. We wholeheartedly recommend Frost Me to anyone in search of a top-notch wedding cake that exceeds expectations in taste, quality, and design.Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free Wedding Cake“
“Clayton's Bakery and Bistro is a charming little spot that's perfect for a cozy breakfast, lunch, or brunch with friends or family. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a rustic decor that's both elegant and comfortable. The menu at Clayton's Bakery and Bistro is a real treat, with a wide selection of delicious baked goods, sandwiches, salads, and more. The bakery is especially noteworthy, with a variety of fresh breads, pastries, and cakes that are all made in-house. Whether you're in the mood for a savory quiche or a sweet croissant, you're sure to find something that will make your taste buds sing. But the real star of the show at Clayton's Bakery and Bistro is the service. The staff are friendly and accommodating, always ready to offer recommendations or answer any questions you might have. They truly make you feel like a valued guest, and it's clear that they take pride in their work.Overall, if you're looking for a cozy spot to enjoy some delicious food and great service, Clayton's Bakery and Bistro is the place to be. Whether you're stopping in for a quick bite or settling in for a leisurely meal, you're sure to leave feeling satisfied and happy.“
“I had a slice of "California Love" and "Furious Diablo", and both were pretty good, but I have to say, the crust was kinda bland, like biscuit dough. I'd have given it a full 5 stars if the crust was a little more seasoned and savory. Service and atmosphere are about average.“
“I gave the food 5 stars but did not eat here. I believe that it isn't fair to give negative reviews on it if you haven't tried it. Overall, loved the vibe. Around the corner behind the fireplace there was the video selfie station which was fun. I loved the atmosphere. It wasn't busy when we went, but there was a DJ which I appreciated. It is underground so if you don't know it is there then you may not find it which I appreciate. There were no servers so that was a bit annoying. We were sitting in the four chairs by the fireplace and one of our party members had to go and get drinks and miss out on the conversation. Overall though I would definately go back.“
“The first time I came here, I had the chicken wings. Ever since, it seems I have been on a mission to find chicken wings that freaking good! I don't live in San Diego, so as soon as I knew I was going back, this place was the first stop on my list! The vibe is cool. It can get a little crowded with the weekend pregamers, but we even with that the food and service was timely!“
“A must visit Italian Store in San Diego, with a variety of Italian sauces, a range of fine wines and alcohol drinks. They have ice cream corner, a deli sandwiches and Italian food as well. The store is clean and is worth your time and money. Love this store. If are looking for a Vegan Chocolate then, this is your store, love it ??“
“We had a reservation and when we checked in we were told it was a 20 minute wait. What? I'm less than a few seconds the manager turned around and said -well seat you in just a moment and about two minutes later they did. That was the only glitch. Server was great and the doors was very good. Even though they were h busy it was a nice exlerince.“
“The desserts here were extraordinary just as this place is called!! Ordered their famous Bread pudding and it was just the best that I have ever had even better than I expected. They served it warm and the top was crunchy and the center was warm and soft and the chocolate was perfectly sweet. AMAZING!Also ordered the Lemon ricotta which was also very very good. The raspberry sauce was too sour to pair with a lemon ricotta which was already very tarty so the raspberries sauce should have been sweet to fully round it out but regardless very good!Presentation was top notch and water was self serve. You should definitely dine in just to get the full experience! Will definitely come back and recommend to others!Came during dinner so some of their best items were sold out.“
“My grandson has a peanut allergy and thanks to Mr. Wyatt (the manager) he made sure they took full precaution with food preparations. To add to my experience here, Melissa (our server) was outstanding. She made sure we were at ease knowing we can dine this delicious food without any worries, she took excellent care of us.The food here is amazing. I highly recommend BJ's to anyone visiting SD. We flew in from NYC and I have to say they're a 5 star restaurant with food quality and their environment.Thank you to all the staff for your excellent service.“
“Busy, food good. Sat on the top deck (they had heaters on so a bit hot at first, kind enough to turn down to low for me &table next to me). Staff friendly.Liked the fajitas - felt like not enough meat compared to vegetables on it & quite few of those pork pieces were a little too crispy for me, only get 3 tortillas.Margarita was a little too sour for my taste.“
“I can't say enough NICE THINGS about these amazing people! I was having a really bad day, but they brightened it up with their friendly attitude & great, helpful service. Super clean dining room & bathroom! Looks & feels like a local coffee shop should! 10/10!!!“
“I visited Skybound Coffee three days in a row while visiting San Diego on a business trip. Had I only gone the first two days and reviewed the shop at that point, they would have received a 5-star rating. The gentleman working the first two mornings was friendly, and extremely accommodating. He hustled while he worked the stead stream of customers. The food was consistent each morning. The coffee was very good, sourced locally I learned, and made to order, extra hot with either the house made (no added sugar) almond milk and oat milk; I tried both. I enjoyed the chimichurri avocado toast without egg, sauce on the side - it’s quite strong. The toast was nice quality grain bread and toasted to a crisp (in a good way). Skip to the third day when I had the unfortunate experience and last impression of Skybound Coffee marred by the girl working that morning. When I first arrived she may have been on a personal call on speaker phone, the person remained on speaker at least for a while. More importantly, and relevant to the service: she lacked the empathy and cheer the man had. The coffee drink she prepared was fine. The toast however was warmed at best, I asked her to toast it longer. While it wasn’t the same experience, I could have been satisfied, until the moment when I discovered there must have been turmeric on something she gave me that ended up on an off white sweatshirt I was wearing for the first time. She said it was likely in the chimichurri sauce. But why was there turmeric powder on my sweatshirt? I did’t spill the sauce. When I asked for something to clean it with is when I really noticed her uncaring. I brought it to her attention: she laughed. I recommend the coffee and the food, but if you go, expect that the service may be slow and definitely inconsistent.“
“I literally haven't even left the restaurant and wanted to make this review.I had the Bali Hai Mai Tai, Scallops, and Berry Cheesecake, and this was an amazing meal.Isaac was perfectly attentive and polite, providing a great dining experience. The portion sizes were perfect to give you just enough of each item on the plate while still leaving room to order dessert, which I would highly recommend. The icing on the proverbial cake are the amazing views from the restaurant - there isn't a bad seat in the house, and outdoor seating is available.Vegetarian options: A handful of vegetarian options are available.Dietary restrictions: Items are clearly marked for which are gluten free.Wheelchair accessibility: Elevators are available to access the restaurant on the second floor.“
“Great little hidden cafe! Located on the 4th floor inside the civic center (must enter building). Tucked away in the back as you enter the 4th floor. Very decently priced food (best priced food I could find on Google maps for breakfast/lunch in the area) and nice options!“
“We had dinner and brunch the next day. Everything was perfect. Our waiter was attentive and was helpful with the menu. We had a great time. I ordered the octopus to share and the scallops. The scallops were perfectly cooked and came with delicious gnocchi. She ordered the steak with blue crab topping. Also perfect! We had to take a bit home. I ordered the turnover for desert to share. I really enjoyed the turnover. The brunch had just about everything you could want (They don't have crab legs).I do miss the old Hotel Del Coronado brunch they used to have. That brunch has been shut down since COVID.“
“If I could be here regularly I would. Great food and atmosphere. A definite treat for me and my family.Just this past visit I had brought a few friends that had no idea on how good they really are. There are others, but no one like them for sure.Kid-friendliness: They actually had kid pricing.. my kid never counted as a kid ,he ate like an adult. LOL“
“Great place for breakfast, brunch, or coffee. It's very difficult to find a place offering good vegan breakfast options. They offer multiple vegan/vegetarian items. I had the vegan spicy hummus bagel and added baked tofu.Vegetarian options: They have 3 vegan sandwiches and 1 vegan bagel combo. You can add baked tofu or veggie sausage to any dish.“
“Excellent. Crispy and moist inside. Rice batter wow. Crunch in every bite. And have to also mention the garlic honey sauce. Ask for an extra it’s tasty and goes perfectly with their chicken. Coming back. Friend shared some with me last week and I had to come and get my box and will be back. Best in the South “
“Stopped by here midday on a weekday. It's a small bakery and the ready made cakes/baked goods looked delicious and so well decorated. My kids got m&m cookies, a classic homemade taste. I ended up getting tamales. We got 3 different kinds beef, chicken, and cheese... all of it was so good. Fresh, Moist, and rich/flavorful filling portioned just right. The lady behind the counter was so sweet. Prices are expected and comparable to like bakeries.“
“This place is so cute! I love their bright colors, the menu is kid friendly and adult friendly. The staff are so kind and friendly. Can’t thank you all enough for the soft serve ice creams, chocolate milks, and vanilla lattes we enjoyed today as a little treat from running around the museum. You guys always deliver on yummy food and great service! Keep up the great work team ☺️“
“Truly amazing Italian food. I add the tagliatelle silane e the octopus. I had a taste of the pappardelle and the burrata with prosciutto. My kids enjoyed the kids menu with the spaghetti with meat ball and the spaghetti with burro. Cocktails were excellent. The cannoli were good as well as the tiramisu.“
“Giving 4 out of 5 stars overall because our service wasn’t terrible and the atmosphere was okay and location great. It’s a modern building which fits for San Diego. We chose this spot due to reviews on how their pasta was homemade. Honestly, I wasn’t very impressed in the taste though. The carbonara barely had any sauce on it like the traditional carbonara you’d order in Italy. I wish I would’ve tried the ravioli instead.“
“Charcuterie board is a must to order. Not a big fan of pretzel, but this one had a nice crust about it which made it so tasty. The sticky chicken wings were finger lickin' yummy. Lastly, the churro dessert was a nice sweet ending, just rather large. Everyone here was friendly and attentive. We were staying at Omni Hotel so having West Coast Social downstairs made it very convenient for us to grab something good to eat.“
“First time at this location in IB - Wanted to work for a bit and enjoy a good space, coffee and scenery, stopped by. Sebastian was working and was very helpful in helping me decide what drink to try.Picked up a Midnight Vietnamese (hot) + a empanada (bacon and egg) both were delicious! I love the functional lattes. Their drinks aren't loaded with sugar and a bunch of bad stuff!!“
