Walked up to a kiosk and ordered 2 chicken shawarma, one with hummus and the other with mixed greens. ( Summer is coming around the corner, so gotta make sure we're staying within the macros.) I really did enjoy my plate, the wrap was packed with protein which I enjoyed. Usually a lot of places are skimpy with their protein portions, but the chicken was tender and full of flavor. It was also very refreshing as there was tabuleh and pickles. I like the little banana peppers addition to the salad, I just ate them with the shawarma instead. The hot sauce is creamy, pretty mild, but got the job done. PS Would you guys make a halal hot sauce? Just asking because some people like me would like our insides to burn. Lol. “There were 10 of us looking for a Persian restaurant in the LA area. We called Javan 30 minutes prior to our arrival and they accommodated us immediately. We ordered a great variety of appetizers and meals. They were all delicious. I was the only one who ordered lamb kebob knowing there is a lot of hit and miss when ordering lamb. I cautioned the waiter that if my food wasn't done the way I wanted it, I will return it. A few minutes later, a gentleman came to our table. I am not sure if he were the manager or the owner. But he personally came to me and told me that he uses the best spring rack of lamb and that I won't be disappointed. He told me he would not accept returning of the lamb. But I knew I would return it if it was not up to par. He told me he would personally grill it for me. My rack of lamb kebob was one of the best I've had and I am an avid lamb meat eater. The service was phenomenal. A few servers were standing around at all times just in case we needed something. Most importantly, when the bill arrived, it was accurate. I know that some restaurants take advantage of big groups and over charge people thinking no one will notice. But I always notice. I highly recommend Javan Restaurant.“
“Ordered a falafel burrito and the hummus with pita, and cheese quesadilla with chipotle sauce on the side via Uber eats.I wasn't crazy about the pita bread itself and the hummus was just ok, but the falafel burrito was great! I love the fries in it and the tahini is delicious. The burrito is very large and very filling, I ended up saving half for the next day and it was still just as tasty. I highly recommend getting a side of chipotle sauce to dip anything you order in!“
“This is a great lil joint hiding away in a not often traveled part of DTLA. It’s a small and cozy spot but the food they cook up is delicious and very good portion sizes. Nothing is crazy overpriced and the flavors of everything are spot on. We got the beef and chicken lule combo and lamb chop combo and loved it all. The char and flavor of the chops and lule was amazing. Plus the rice that comes with it was cooked perfect and I love that it comes with a sumac seasoning to add. “JoJo's Lebanese take on shawarma is flavorful and delicious, with soft and lightly seasoned meat atop tasty warm rice. The chili and garlic sauces that accompany the food are fresh made too and really add zing to the meal as I alternate what to dip the various meats into. It all came with a solid hummus, warm pita bread points, and a side salad, perfectly and lightly dressed in a lemony dressing w a hint of sumac that felt healthy...While the ambiance is not much here, JoJo's is really all about the food, and the owner's care and his very warm and accommodating staff are to be commended for the fine meals, generous portions, and all around top notch service they all provide as a team.Excellent food!Food 10/10Service 10/10“

“Got off the airport shuttle and went to this Middle Eastern restaurant in Inglewood close to the airport. It only has a couple tables inside so it's for carryout mostly it seems. Al Hamra has most of the classic favorites. Lots of the good stuff like falafel, hummus, tabbouli, and more. The platters are big and are a lot of food for an okay price. A pretty small place but they have a lot on the menu, and it's better than it looks to be honest. It's not pretty from the outside but it's clean inside. There's the counter to order at, and there's just a few tables. Most people call in orders and get it to go. We were already there so we ate there. It's about $14 for the platters. These are big and come with lots of stuff. I got the Falafel Plate. This comes with hummus, rice, and salad. Good falafel. These were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Ones like these are best. Then I used the pitas to make sandwiches out of these. Convenient place after getting off the shuttle a few blocks from here. It's pretty quick and simple. There's great choices like the falafel for vegans and vegetarians.“
