2022: First time here. Just had the most delicious watermelon smoothie! The little bits of mint blended into it make it so delectable... wish I had a gallon of this stuff! There is some pineapple sherbet in there too apparently but not overpowering. Just slushy watermelon mint refreshingness. What a fantastic drink! (Need rum 🙂)”

“Constellation is a jewel in both La Canada and Silver Lake. It’s one of a handful of really good coffee shops in LA. Their espresso is smooth but flavorful, perfect for that early AM wake up call. Best of all, they are very community oriented and the leadership here really dedicates itself to helping the community in more ways than one. Great place, great owners, and they go the distance!”

“바삭바삭한 후라이드, 매콤한 양념치킨과 입맛을 확 당기는 간장치킨. 중학교 시절 나에게 첫 치느님의 문을 열어준 건 치킨데이였다. 치킨데이 왕자님의 인맥을 통해 가끔씩 공짜로 얻어먹던 닭들은 나에게 있어 얘기치 못한 즐거움, 마치 공원에 누워 네잎클로버를 찾는 행운이었다. 하지만 10년이 지난 지금 난 깨달았다. 치킨데이는 네잎클로버가 아니란걸. 한국에 와서 내노라하는 네네 스노윙, BHC 뿌링클, 굽네 고추바사삭 치킨을 먹어봐도 내 마음속 한 구석엔 늘 채워지지 않는 공허함이 자리잡고 있었다. 맛은 있지만 정이 없는, 뒷마당에서 키우던 강아지를 보신탕으로 먹으면 이런 맛이었을까? 그래서 이 리뷰를 통해 치킨데이에게 사과의 말을 전하고 싶다. 너가 최고라는 걸 깨닫기까지 10년이나 걸려서 미안하다고. 너는 행운의 네잎클로버가 아닌 항상 내 발밑에 자리잡고 있던 행복의 세잎클로버라고.”

“Came here with 4 adults and a child. We had just visited Descanso gardens on a cold afternoon. Soup sounded like a good plan and we were craving Korean. This place was less than 10 minutes away. We were seated right away and were offered cold barley tea (I believe) and hot tea. We ordered 2 soups, kalbi ribs, and pork cutlet. Banchan dishes were cabbage kimchi, radish, and fish cakes. My daughter devoured the fish cakes and we had to get more. The kimchi was so delicious. It was crunchy, a little spicy and sweet, and tasted so fresh. The server told us it was made fresh every day. When our first soup arrived (sullongtang) we got a little scared- the portion was huge! We didn't think we would be able to finish everything we ordered. The soup was so comforting and I liked that you get to chose how much salt you want to add to it. The slices of meat paired really good with the thin, rice noodles. The pork cutlet was a big portion as well. We ate it as an appetizer. The kalbi ribs were tender and tasty. You can never go wrong with this dish. The second soup we ordered (galbi tang) had clear noodles, ribs, and small egg ribbons. This was my favorite. Even though I was full, I finished the last big rib by myself. I just didn't have the heart to leave it and I felt silly taking one rib to go. Our meal was really memorable. The server kept checking on us and had such great table manners. She greeted us with a smile when we arrived, during service, and as we left. Such warm and inviting atmosphere. You have to try this Korean joint if you're in the area.”

“This spot is a hidden gem fr. Every drink I’ve tried here has been on point—flavorful, not too sweet, and the boba is always fresh and chewy just how it should be. The workers are mad chill and super friendly, always make you feel welcome. Whether you’re a regular or it’s your first time, they got you. Definitely one of my favorite go-to boba spots. Oh and the strawberry matcha definitely one of my favorites 10/10 recommend.”

“We are BBQ folks. We smoke our own and have traveled the country trying different spots. There is so much that goes into BBQ. For those of us who truly love it; it's an art form and science of cuts, color, bark, brine -- the whole deal. We've experienced much of the local (Southern California) flavor and have found a few spots that excel. We moved up to Pasadena recently and were Yelping to see if there was a BBQ spot up here that we could try. When we came upon Mission I was skeptical. It didn't make sense that a BBQ spot would do catering and weekend farmer's market stuff. The only way to see if the reviews were legit was to give it a shot. We found the location at the farmer's market tucked away and because we were late in the day, had to pick from the meats that were left. Ribs, brisket, mac & cheese -- and the two sauces they stocked (mild & spicy). Our order was bundled and we brought it home and launched into the meal. Brisket -- soft, moist, flavorful. Brisket is not easy to cook. It can get dry and -- sometimes greasy from the fat. This was none of that. It was excellent -- some of the best ever. 5/5!!! Ribs -- very good. Solid. My personal perfect-preference is ribs that are just a touch less moist -- but we are talking the difference between 98/100 or 94/100. They were solid. Great flavor. Mac & Cheese. Excellent. Texture, color, flavor, taste -- all outstanding. 5/5!!! Sauce. We had a cup of each of their offerings: spicy and mild. Each had a lovely smokey flavor. The spicy had a nice kick without blowing the back out of your throat. Again -- this is a little nitpicky, but we find the perfect sauce to be a touch less sticky. We've had great first meals and horrible second meals at certain spots and horrible first meals and great second meals. We like to try the food several times before writing reviews so we ordered again for another experience. This time we added baked beans, burnt ends, and smoked chicken to the meal. Second time was exactly as great as the first time. Everything was solid, solid, solid. Now -- the thing that gives Mission six-stars is the folks behind the food. These people are dedicated to making a contribution to the world through food as few are. They are kind, generous, dedicated -- truly amazing!!!! Judith and her family are the kind of folks I want to invite over to have the food we just bought from them!!! Wonderful, wonderful people!! Thank you so much Mission!!!! We are dedicated fans and followers for as long as you make food!!!”

“This is hands down the best place for authentic French pastries in the La Cañada area. I highly recommend the Raspberry Tart—it’s incredibly fresh and delicious. Another absolute must-try is the Monaco (Passion Fruit Pistachio cake); the tangy passion fruit flavor is so refreshing and pairs perfectly with the pistachio. You can really tell they use high-quality ingredients here. It’s the perfect spot for a coffee and a high-end treat!”

“I love Blaze Pizza. The vegan pizzas are sooo delicious! I love the build your own because I can put what I want on it. The prices are fairly reasonable. I do find that the prices differ from the Blaze Pizza in Florida by about $3/$4. My daughter got the bbq ranch chicken pizza and loved it. It was her 1st time. I love the thin crust and it’s the perfect size.”

“It was a fund raiser for my granddaughters' school. The place was full of moms and dads, friends, neighbors, softball members, younger siblings and grandparents. The pizza and salad were Delicious and as soon as the kids ate they played the arcade games and fed quarters into the toy machines to see what prizes they would get. It's well organized and has a quick turnaround -Order, Pay, Eat, Play. A fun place to get a great pizza.”

“We went for dinner with out-of-town relatives because Taylor's is always a reliable high quality steak dinner. Everybody enjoyed their appetizers, entrees, and desserts.
The Kansas City steak was a big hit - flavorful, tender & cooked to perfection.”

“On Sunday the 2nd of November at 8:30pm I had the best customer service, I requested additional bbq and most places be charging now and most stay firm on that additional charge. Luckily the Manager Jesus told me “that unfortunately it was an additional 60 cents” but then he just gave me the sauce. After that he told me if I could possibly help him out with a google review which I kept my promise. The whole crew was great I can’t complain, Justin I believe was the night cashier was also great. I just looked at them during the rush and both stayed sharp with the whole kitchen crew. I got my food and it was very delicious, and surprisingly the bathroom was clean too. I’ll be returning to this location some other day. Thank you Habit La Canada for giving the best customer service I’ve had in years. I truly appreciate it”

“Food was okay. $24 for one pork chop breakfast seems high. Menu indicated plural as in chops. Hard to mess up eggs and hash browns. Nothing was memoy but it was okay.”

“While enjoying a delicious hot chocolate with a friend, we were pleased to meet Santa, who had just finished riding in the Montrose Christmas Parade. He asked us “Do you believe in Santa?” We replied Yes! He handed each of us a presidential dollar coin. Ho Ho Ho!”

“Let me start off with the staff is very helpful. The prices are also fair . We got breakfast and coffee. Everything was good with the exception of the French toast. It reminded me of Stone Hedge , in looks and perhaps in taste. (tuff and old ) . Could have been a one off . We will come back again. Happy New Year's.”
