“Cute place. Lovely staff. Neat atmosphere. When you walk in through the humble entryway, you're immediately greeted by a welcoming smile and a hello. We were asked if we wanted to dine or order takeout. Dining in offers you seating options up the stairs into the the room you can see to through the open wall at it's floor level. I found it quite enjoyable being able to see into the room above. Very cool style. You order, then you eat. You pay at the end. My friends and I were treated well and wished a happy holiday. “Just tried their Yang Ji Seolleongtang and it was delicious, with generous servings of broth and meat. Nice that I can find great Seolleongtang in my hood without having to go all the way to Ktown for it! The ahjuma who waited on us was nice and professional, and told me to be sure to try their do ga ni (ox knee) soup next time, which I definitely will. FYI the hours say they open at 10:30 but actual food service does not start until 11. Definitely recommend!“

“Shout out to the person working at Old Style Guitars who recommended this place. It’s walking distance from Gold Diggers and Hollywood Forever (both great concert venues), and honestly some of the best eggplant I’ve ever had.The menu is simple and straightforward, with one vegan/vegetarian option. The tofu and eggplant bowl was insanely delicious. Huge portions, very reasonable price, and piping hot and fresh.I walked there and ordered from the cashier, and it was a ten minute wait for food. You can order online in advance for pick up from their website, and it seems like they do a ton of delivery.They gave me napkins, a fork, and soy sauce and sriracha packets, but I didn’t need them because it was seasoned and flavored perfectly. The tofu was melt in your mouth soft, not chewy at all, my favorite way of eating it. The in house pickled veggies were so good, and balanced the flavors in the dish. There were cashews for a crunch, and some onions and bok choy, all on a bed of fluffy white rice.I know LA has a ton of places to eat but I would definitely come back just for this bowl.After the rest of my group saw and smelled what I was eating, they all went to go order from there themselves and agreed it was delicious.Vegetarian options: The menu is super simple and there’s one vegan bowl but it’s incredible and totally worth it.“

“Joseon is an excellent choice for a great date night in Silverlake, Los Angeles. The "less is more" ambiance is favorable, the music is not loud so conversations come easier, the staff is attentive, and the food is pretty special. The name gives the impression of a golden era of Korean dining, and an experience designed for royalty, and we definitely felt that throughout the night. My partner and I started with a cocktail/mocktail because they sounded unique (and they were). We ordered a 7 course and a 5 course, thinking that we could try to get a good variety when there were two options for some of the courses. We opted for wine flight pairing as well, and were surprised how well selected the options were. I'd recommend that a party of 2 orders the same number of courses, however, because we didn't always both get a course. We shared about everything though, so it ended up being fine. Also, knowing the process to expect for a 7 course meal will make a difference in how you appreciate the timing. Courses are spaced out by anywhere from 15-25 minutes, so expect to be in the restaurant for at least 2-2/12 hours, or more. We were at our table for just short of 3 hours, but we also talked with the staff a bit while enjoying an espresso with dessert. This kind of timing, in this context, is a good thing, because it means that the kitchen doesn't have a bunch of plates being pre-made then waiting to be delivered by wait staff who also have other tables to attend to. The chef freshly prepares each dish for your specific table, and then it's presented immediately. That makes for a top quality dining experience, where each of these dishes was not only a work of art but also presented for enjoyment, just as the chef and their team intends. We enjoyed the 7 courses! I think our favorite was the Braised Stew with Sea Bass, and the Rice Cake dish with Zucchini Blossom. The Sea Trout Tartare was also a nice way to start the meal. The aromas coming off many of those dishes was memorable. The dessert they brought wasn't on the menu, and came complementary for us, I don't know if they typically charge for dessert. One was some fresh cantaloupe with a special sweet sauce (they called it a palate cleanser), and one was an amazing rice pudding creme brûlée, it was an outstanding way to finish our evening. We will be back, next time we'll make it a double date!“

“Finally got the chance to try this dessert place after always passing by. I got the pure milk soft serve and 3 pieces of taiyaki in custard and red bean. The soft serve is a nice texture and it's very soft. The milk is a bit too sweet, in my opinion. And you can self serve on several toppings for the soft serve. The taiyaki is very good, just wish that it is a bit more crispy. They give a generous amount of filling inside the taiyaki. Inside is a small place. They only have a bench and a couple of stools. Overall, a great dessert place!“

“The reviews are not wrong. For a nice break from the Walk of Fame this place is perfect! Had a poke bowl and a green jasmine iced tea w/ mango and they were delicious and hit the spot! The host at the counter was nice too and the music is relaxing.“

“My former colleague from Daycare job and I met up here to dine in on Dec/5/23 on my day off. What delish treats these Korean Rice Plates are!!!! Customer service was topnotch and right off the bat when we were having a hard time deciding if we wanted to fetch their Holiday Korean Dumpling deal at $29.99 for a frozen bag and 4 packs of mixed and matched dumplings. I had to get me a set so my mom and I can reduce cooking time this holiday month of Dec/23. Anyways, I ordered their Korean Rice (Beef) plate to go, and that was huge and delish, good enough for 2 meals. I was only able to chow down half of it. This was our first time here, and we both had a fabulous time here. We will meet back here again next time visiting 'Manduyo,' Authentic Korean Cuisine. Even your side salad dish that was included in the plate was all fresh: there was nothing bitter from any piece of salad veggies I ate. “One of my absolute favorite Korean fried chicken spots. They are always consistent and I'm never disappointed. The jasmine rice with the tenders is the perfect combo with the ponzu sauce added. They also have wings and fried chicken sandwiches. You can also get fried cauliflower if you dont eat meat and they use a separate wok. Other sides include fries or a salad. They have fresh Agua Fresca as well. If you're in the area I highly recommend this place. Get the spicy tenders, you won't regret it.“

“Visited Cafe Jane on a Tuesday around noonish. There was ample seating available and the wait time for our food to come out was very minimal. The americano was deliciously bold and my mom was delighted by their mocha. We shared two entrees: the breakfast sandwich and the orange french toast. The breakfast sandwich had really fluffy soft scrambled eggs and the brioche was a nice bite. The French toast was OuT oF tHIs WoRLd! - loads of citrus and balanced with the subtle sweetness of fried bananas. Will be back to try their rice bowls. Overall score: ?/?.“

“Food was good but heavy! This is a loud restaurant and is good if you're wanting a bar style environment with food and drinks. Hence the name - pocha. One of the owners or managers was walking around checking on customers which was so nice. Overall, I enjoyed the food and service was decent but it was a little too heavy for me so I probably won't return.“

“Excellent service and excellent quality of foods! I had Kalbitang (beef bone soup with glass noodle) and tojong soondae. Both were gluten free dairy free. I am super symptomatic celiac and allergic to gluten and I felt good after eating.Side dishes are not gluten free Kimchi, radish kimchi nothing is gluten free so don’t touch them.I have two kids and the server quickly brought a high chair, extra soup bowls and plastic spoons and forks for them. He also brought scissors and tongs for me to cut the foods for them.“

“This place was amazing for an inexperienced KBBQ'er. It was me and my partner (Chinese and White). The staff were so friendly and helped explain what dishes were and how to eat them. They also cooked the meat and sides for us so we didnt have to stress over that part for our first time. The owner ended up serving us due to the flow of people and Chris/Kris was amazing. She let us try the house made Lemon Soju and really solidified that we would be coming back.Our other server was amazing and she took care of us majority of the night, I didnt catch her name but I also forgot my card there and she caught up to me like half a block to give it back. So sweet and above and beyond.We got a plate of Brisket and Bulgogi with two Soju bottles peach and strawberry. The house lemon one was my favorite though and we will be getting it next time we go.We street parked and payed $1.25 until 8pm hit and didnt have to pay anymore.“

“No frills teriyaki spot. The entrance was confusing. It looks like a glass storefront but it's an automatic sliding door that isn't very sensitive or quick. So you need to stand there and then it will open after a short delay. Service was quick, food was decent. Price is fair for Pasadena.“

“OMG! Soooo Gooodddd! Don't go anywhere else, this place is legit, and it's tasteful. 100 percent quality teriyaki done right, not over cooked, or undercooked. No scrappy meat, or odd ball rice and noodles. Very good tasting and very delicious from beginning to end.I am definitely saving this spot and will be coming back for many more! Parking is a challenge, so order ahead or plan it right to get your food. “I have eaten the pho here twice and have been impressed both times. The food is fresh, delicious and the portion is good. This is one of my favorite pho places in this area. They are never too crowed when I visit for lunch and the atmosphere is wonderful. It is privately owned and the service is great! Definitely recommended!“

“The black sesame shaved ice was a standout, boasting a rich and robust flavor that satisfied my cravings for something bold. However, the green tea flavor fell short of my expectations. It leaned towards the sugary side rather than capturing the authentic essence of green tea that I had remembered.The mochi on the side was a letdown, as it turned out to be disappointingly hard. It lacked the soft, chewy texture that would have complemented the shaved ice perfectly. Despite the inconsistency in flavors and the mochi misstep, Oakobing still has potential with some improvements. If you're a black sesame fan, it might be worth a try, but be cautious if you're expecting the same excellence across all flavors and toppings.“

“Ohana BBQ is my comfort Hawaiian food spot on Ventura Blvd. They stand out among the others because it's Hawaiian dishes with Korean BBQ. Every time my wife and I go , the gentleman who takes the phone orders is also the one ringing us up and he's so pleasant each time. My favorite item on the menu is the japchae with short rib. They're also very generous with the teriyaki and hot sauce which is a plus. Also the wall of celebrities who've dined there is such a great touch!“

“I did not really eat Korean food during my 2 weeks in Japan, so I was craving Korean food. I've known of the bb.q Chicken chain for a while now, and I saw they had a branch in Alhambra. I cannot eat a ton of fried chicken on my own, but I saw that this restaurant had other dishes as well. I decided to come here and give bb.q Chicken a try.They had a free soda with Yelp check in. My wife got a diet coke, and I ordered water. The restaurant gives complimentary pickled radishes. The staff are very nice and friendly.My wife ordered the tteokbokki, whereas I got the kimchi fried rice. I was torn between the fried rice and the bulgogi poutine, but I also knew I wanted rice, so I got the kimchi fried rice. My wife and I shared our dishes. The tteokbokki was good, sweet and spicy. The rice cakes were a nice texture. The kimchi fried rice was also solid, but a bit spicy for me.Given how close it is to me, I will definitely come back in the future to try their fried chicken.“

“Always a solid meal that satisfies my Korean food cravings. When under weather I always get the Korean ginsing chicken soup. It's packed with a lot of nutrients and collagen. The entire Cornish hen is stuffed with dates, short grain rice, and chestnuts. Really helps one feel better quickly. The other food is always consistently good. “WE LIKE SPICY!!! And now we found a Myung Ga even closer to us. FELT LIKE A WINNER as soon as we walked in!!! Same no frills, chill vibe as their Arcadia location. Just all about the food. Bubbly, spicy cauldron of ribs and glass noodles in their spicy galbitang. Huge, meaty chunks of pork in their gamjatang. And their KIMCHI!!! Plus all the utensils, napkins and even toothpicks are in this convenient drawer at each. Condiments, water and tea ready at the table. We already want to come back!!!“

“Came here for N early lunch, had the pork and rice soup. It was delicious, it had a lot of pork belly and garlic chives and a delicious dumpling in the soup. The dish came with a side of rice and the banchan was flavorful and fresh. I also had a mixed rice drink which reminded me of horchata. Overall I will be returning and recommend this place to others. “So for it being my first time there it was all delicious and waitress was perfect, the service was amazing overall, I would give it a 5 stars but because we had a horrible bill complication. Just if you pay cash make sure you count the money together that you give to your waitress there on the spot before she walks away. Because today we over paid $100 hundred dollars. My bill was $513.27 and ended up paying $613.27 A total for a party of 10 We didn't not get a refund We still paid for parking because parking is 15 dollars. Mike the manger said we can come back and maybe redeem the lost $100. But not sure if I even want to!“

“Chicken Day is my favorite fried chicken spot - I've been going for over a decade now having tried the best chicken in NYC, Nashville, and of course, LA and this is THE spot. So underrated. The original fried chicken is my favorite go-to with the sauce and extra radish but honestly, the entire menu is great - you can't go wrong.Parking: In a plaza, there's always a lot of spots. If not, you can just park in the streets, there are no meters so you never have to pay.“
