“It was our first time there the waitress that helped us was very friendly and nice. I don’t remember her name otherwise I would stated here, but she was working on a Tuesday morning and she was also doing the bar. The food was delicious and her hospitality was very welcoming. I think it made the experience even better. Since it was our first time there she offered To give us garlic bread on the house, that was really nice of her. I’m definitely gonna come back and I will be referring friends and family. By the way, I had the short rib and the brisket with mac & cheese. The brisket was very good, but oh my God the short rib was amazing next time I’ll definitely be getting that again and I might just try the load of baked potato too“

“I've been wanting to try different omakase places in the LA area for a while now, and stumbled upon Omakase by Ozen online - and I'm glad I came! Reservations were made quickly and easily via Yelp, and I love that I was able to change my reservation time without much of a hassle. My boyfriend and I came here to celebrate after I took the MCAT, so we were extremely hungry when we got here. I think this place might have had valet out front, but we opted to just find street parking in the neighborhood for a ~5 minute walk (which worked out afterwards since it let us walk off our food!). The actual restaurant is a very small and quaint place; we sat at a table instead of the bar but I thought the decorations were very cute. Service was very fast and attentive. They handed us a menu as soon as we came in, and we ordered the $130 omakase - which was a pretty good deal for the quality of the food and the whole experience. I do have to say that I was not full after the meal (so my boyfriend and I ended up getting more food afterwards at a different place), but I did enjoy my time here. Definitely worth a try if you're celebrating because of the food and the service, but I personally don't think I'd come back for the omakase.“

“I like this place because it has no frills. My friend and I ordered the cheese/onion pizza. My friend is from St Luis. She knows pizza. She said this was the best pizza she's had. I thought it was fabulous also. We shared a rib eye. She likes it medium. I like it rare. They cut it for us and cooked each separately. Calamari - delicious. We had tons of left overs too. The staff was friendly, accommodating and responsive, very yummy place to dine.“

Had to get an order of cornbread also good would've been better warm. Clean place with hand sanitizer on all the tables. No complaints, compliments to the chef.“

But for the most part the fried chicken katsu is a good option; the bone in fried chicken that others seem to like was a little dry for me. There is a catering menu and seemingly they are a good option for gatherings. The owners work here and are very sweet Asian couple. They will always smile and engage in conversation with you. “Finally got a chance to try this out since had my eye on it since it opened in the neighborhood. The restaurant is on the smaller side and has about 15 tables total so definitely have a bit of patience if going right at dinner time. They only take reservations for parties over 5. If you go at non-peak times, should be able to get seated right away. The host and servers were friendly and constantly came by to clear plates as they were finished and refill drinks. Food wise, you can order a la carte or from 2 levels of AYCE. We went for the premium AYCE and enjoyed it after leaving stuffed and wagyu oozing from our pores. The meat quality was excellent and while each plate was only 4-7 slices, you can just keep ordering if you can handle all the rich and fatty meats. The carpaccios and other appetizers were good and you can order 1/2 size of many dishes so you don't overstuff yourself. So while the price ($75), for premium is definitely up there, it is fair for the quality of the meats and other options. You have a 90 min. limit so be mindful of that as the food does not come out as quickly when the restaurant is full. Overall, something to splurge on once in a while and if you're looking for premium meats. Friendly tip- wear clothes you don't mind smelling like bbq/smoke as their exhaust system could use some improvement as you can visibly see the smoke later in the night when busy as the exhaust at each table is lacking in effectiveness.“

They should call it “slightly battered jarred garlic shrimp” instead. The mac salad is delicious though.“

The brisket was well seasoned and very tender (almost too tneder], the pulled pork was soft and a good mixed of stringy and chunky pieces but a little too dry and the burnt ends were juicy. The garlic bread was tasty and the cornbread was tender and not too sweet. The homade bbq sauce variety was nice, including the mustard sauce for the pulled pork and maple bbq sauce.For the sides, the garlic potatoes were tasty but the mac and cheese was average because it was too thin and lacked en I ugh cheese taste.Service was quick and efficient.“

“Compared to a few years back this street food spot has gained a few more food stalls to neighbor it. There is now a bbq meet place, a salad and fresh foods place and a dessert one. I got three plates, one pad Thai, one pork fried rice and one of their new ground pork with egg dish. Pad Thai is good as always, fried rice was lacking flavor as before but they have seasoning for you to use. Their ground pork with egg was so good but holy crap it was spicy. It did have a good spice though I recommend it.“

You can order online in advance for pick up from their website, and it seems like they do a ton of delivery.They gave me napkins, a fork, and soy sauce and sriracha packets, but I didn’t need them because it was seasoned and flavored perfectly. The tofu was melt in your mouth soft, not chewy at all, my favorite way of eating it. The in house pickled veggies were so good, and balanced the flavors in the dish. Note, they have special pricing starting at 7:30pm, but that wasn’t an issue. Not used to that, especially at AYCE restaurant. Just if you pay cash make sure you count the money together that you give to your waitress there on the spot before she walks away. Because today we over paid $100 hundred dollars. It's pretty clean eating area which is across the order area and past the spacious entrance.“

“Ohana BBQ is my comfort Hawaiian food spot on Ventura Blvd. They stand out among the others because it's Hawaiian dishes with Korean BBQ. Every time my wife and I go , the gentleman who takes the phone orders is also the one ringing us up and he's so pleasant each time. My favorite item on the menu is the japchae with short rib. They're also very generous with the teriyaki and hot sauce which is a plus. Also the wall of celebrities who've dined there is such a great touch!“

Today we had my favorite - the Beef Moussaka (eggplant layered with beef in sauce, topped with bechamel) served with roasted potatoes and vegetables, and an excellent Greek Salad. “WOW WOW WOW WOW!!!! This was so good we had Bruce's BBQ at Montrose for the Beer festival and then one day I'm driving by Sunland and I see his sign. So happy that there is now an establishment that I can get my BBQ fix anytime we need. Pulled pork is killer, I'm a big baked beans person and wow it was so good with all the little bacon pieces mixed in. Hot wings were nice and crispy with just the right amount of spice. Hands down the best BBQ joint in the area and we will be returning soon I recommend Bruce's BBQ to anyone who loves a homemade BBQ made with love and the service is incredible.“

“I've had their food at Skate Oddity events and it is DELICIOUS! Worth the 20 minute wait. It's not fast food- made to order. So be patient. Yesterday I had the jerk "beef" tacos. The tortillas were grilled to be crispy and the beef filling and sauce was delicious. In the past, I had the pulled "pork" burrito which was also delicious. Very large portions.
