“So I was looking for a place that had karaoke near my friend's home since she doesn't have a car. I had never been here before, but am always open to trying new places. At first I wasn't sure what to expect, as many dive bars have a "members only" feel, but I was so impressed by how lovely, friendly, and happy everyone was! I have never in my entire life been treated so warmly by both bartenders and patrons as I was at the Eagle's Nest last night. Not only that--I frequent karaoke bars often, and the host and singers here were so kind and encouraging! Many other places take the karaoke too seriously and don't clap much for other people. Not here, though! Everyone claps, dances, and sings along, and everyone treats each other so nicely! It's just such good vibes all around and the KJ, Sammy, is awesome, too! Really great and charismatic host. They have karaoke every Wed-Saturday. Oh, and they have White Claw, which is such a bonus for me! I had such a blast here, and I will definitely be returning--probably regularly!! Thank you for providing such a fun and welcoming place to party, Eagle's Nest! My friends and I had so much fun!!!“

“LA Ale Works in Culver City is awesome! They have trivia every Tuesday, hosted by Lucky Guess Trivia, and specifically trivia master Drew. The questions are challenging, the host is hilarious and it's just simply a good time! The bar itself is cozy, drinks are great and added bonus that it's dog friendly. :)“

“Our first time trying this spot. Once I heard there was a lobster specific spot in the South Bay, I had to give it a go. Fun little spot with a bar top as well as booths and tables. We had the lobster rolls Connecticut style, waffle fries, and flaming hot lobster fries. Definitely worth a try. We knew going into it that it would be a pretty penny but wanted to get the full experience on the first go. Also, friendly service definitely stood out. Much appreciated. “The lobster grilled cheese with soup is everything. Every time we come back, it’s just as good as the times before. My partner likes the Tot Nachos. The first time we came we tracked down street parking. Then we realized there’s a parking garage with an entrance in the back of the building. Added convenience.“

“Socalo is consistently great. Everyone I introduce it to ends up returning on their own. Everything is great here, the food especially of course (the menu is innovative with kind of a classic base and the ingredients are very high end). Somehow though, they manage to keep the prices reasonable. The staff is really nice, the design and atmosphere are beautiful both during the day and the evening. I love that it's an all day restaurant so you can even grab a meal or a snack during in-between hours. This place is kind of a sleeper favorite and because it seems to be under the radar a bit, getting a reservation is always easy. I truly love this place.“

“This place is PHENOMENAL!!! Every time I've been here it has been killer. The staff is awesome, and the consistency of the food is right on. I recommend the Lobster tacos, Cali lobster roll, and the Lobster fries. This is my go-to place for all things lobster.Edit: Came here again today and this place seems to keep getting better. “It’s such an amazing experience to get some fresh seafood there! We were looking for shrimp cocktail everywhere. It seems that shrimp cocktail is such an “old/ comfort” food now which is difficult to find nowadays! It was fresh and delicious!!!! And we got some clams, mussels, and shrimps with garlic butter which were delicious! The nice guy who helped, Brock, was so nice, helpful, and kind! We had such an amazing time, maybe also it’s a weekday and everyone there was having a blast!“

“This location has gone under numerous names and owners over the years but this incarnation is the best so far. Great beer options, well stocked bar, and a very good kitchen are all available to the visitor. I came by for lunch and ordered the cheese steak sandwich. It was AMAZING. They use truffle cheese, great bread, and the whole thing was delicious. Small pickle slice and pickled veggie garnish was a great touch. Service is solid and the place was not very crowded at noontime. Lots of live music and other stuff going on at night too.“

“The beef carpaccio is a miracle of a dish. I hope they never remove it from the menu because I would order this daily if I could. The orange wine was ok, chilled red was good. Halibut was ok. Very small intimate setting.But...the beef carpaccio makes this 5 stars.“

“Hidden gem!!! Anna Marie was our bar tender. She is the best bar tender of all times. She was sooo sweet. Her energy and personality alone earned more than 5 stars. I tried the Schrute farms which had beet infused gin, pomegranate, pineau des charantes and lemon.. this is the best cocktail I've ever tried. I asked Anna Marie for more recommendations. We tried almost every cocktail she recommended and they were all amazing. This is my new favorite bar.“

“Never had ramen broth that wasn't made from pork. The taste was amazing, light, refreshing and less oilier than tonkotsu. The noodles were boiled to perfection, chewy and delicious. The TanTan Men were tasty as well, the peanut broth wasn't too overpowering. I will definitely go back again in the near future.“

“We accidentally went to another brewery instead of this one but I'm glad we got back in the car and headed here... food was good and beer was even better... I tend to like my beer colder but other than that it was good. They had live music which is what attracted us to this place!“

“Places like this is why I like to travel. They weren't even on my list, but they were across the street from my hotel and playing good music. As soon as I checked in and settled into my room, I dodged traffic to grab a drink and listen to some tunes. They have someone playing every night. They don't have an extensive alcohol list, and I didn't see any liquor, but they had beer, wine and bubbles. I tried all the IPAs they had on tap, Garage something was the winner. I ended up going multiple times over my two day stay. Chatted with the bartenders and some of the customers and musicians. All cool people, GVO. Sunday night I only caught the last two songs of the set, but Monday was open mic and they had several decent musicians that played a couple songs each. I was impressed, but as you can imagine, talent levels are starkly different for LA artist and Pascagoula regulars. So I might not be the best judge if you're really an audiophile. No cover but that does show up in the price of drinks. Come for HH though if you want to pregame for the shows.“

“I went there to watch a Lion's game. It was already at capacity, so I had to wait in line for a little while. Luckily, I could see the game from outside and keep up with the game.Once I finally made it inside, I found out they were out of cider and hard seltzers. They only had beer, white wine and red wine. “SO FUN. One of my favorite breweries in the South Bay. As a person who loves to sample and loves a diverse menu, this is a perfect place for me. The servers have always been so nice when we came (although service can be a bit slow on those busy nights). Parking can be tough!“

“We just left the SoFi stadium after the game. Came here to wait out the traffic. The walk here was well lit, clean, and had plenty of police and security to make us feel safe. The food was good, the atmosphere was better. Our server Raul HUSSLED around getting us our food and drinks! 10/10 recommend. Now we're leaving in a great mood, and our Uber should be right here. “Noisy dark bar with people having a blast.Yes good quality and quantity of food.I had fish and chips. The single piece I ordered was more than twice as thick as most places have. The quality of the meats are great, the food is good because you cook it yourself. I can definitely say we had our fair share of food, we went away full. It's a very busy place so if you plan to go make sure you leave time to wait before being seated.“
