“I'm rating this place so high because I think they deserve a better rating. I typically go here for the spicy popcorn chicken and a large milk tea with boba, to go. And as far as meeting the quota goes, they do it better than most places I've been to -- a fair balance between price and quality. Plus, pretty much all boba places that also serve popcorn chicken I've been to don't serve milk tea in that size! They have a sign that says "cash only" but that's only referring to their counter orders as opposed to their tablet orders -- so don't get confused by that. I definitely want to come back in the near future, although they close fairly early.“

“We go here whenever we want to eat lunch in a lovely garden setting on a beautiful day next to a gurgling fountain. Our table had an umbrella so we were perfectly shaded. My medium cooked hamburger on a brioche bun and wedges of potato fries were so good I ate it all even though I'm supposedly keto and don't eat carbs typically. The desserts are beautiful and good but the best dessert by far was the ginger creme brulee with a delicate texture (not thick and pasty) and it wasn't too sweet at all despite having a turbinado or demerara sugar sprinkling in addition to the usual caramelized sugar coating. The custard wasn't sweetened it seemed so the balance was perfect. I ordered an English breakfast tea to go with it and the teapot that it came in was lovely and added to the garden ambience. Perfect for an early Mother's Day lunch which we were having.I don't think we would order the bread pudding again though. It was fine but on the dense side and was the only dish we didn't feel good enough to finish but the other two desserts were completely devoured. The third dessert was the molten chocolate cake. It was not the best molten chocolate cake but it was the most beautifully plated with enough ice cream and we very much enjoyed it.There's indoor seating but I can't imagine going to this restaurant and not making the most of the beautiful outdoor seating in a garden setting.Don't forget to shop at the little shops next to the cafe before and after lunch such as the gift shop which benefits the Stanford children's hospital and is 100% volunteer run so be sweet to the volunteers in there. It's always nice to wander all the cute boutiques there as well as the art gallery. One of the artists is always there at the desk and their work will be outside the gallery on the easel.Parking: Unless there's an event (and in good weather there's often a wedding or a private event going on), parking is easy in either of two private lots. The larger parking lot is two ways through an entrance that only one car can go in our out of at a time but it's never been an issue yet. Just a little unnerving because you think you're going the wrong way but it's the only way in or out of that bigger lot.“

The madelines were very thick and the red velvet one had cream cheese filling inside. I also got the yakgwa latte, which tasted exactly like a sweet potato! The texture was thick too. Would recommend coming here for a special day, but everything is quite pricey!“

There is no seating inside, just grab and go, but there are some nice seating areas right outside.I had a salad bowl with half tocino and half panko chicken. Loved the texture and flavor of both meats, and the variety and amount of vegetables I got in my bowl. “JIMMY V'S!!! One of my FAVORITE cafes to visit on Stanford Campus - they serve the most delicious breakfasts, lunch foods, and smoothies / shakes / drinks. Many of their foods that I have enjoyed include: Athlete Omelet, Norcal Scramble, Huevos Rancheros, Stanford Panini, Chicken Chestnut Salad Melt, and Olympian and Cardinal smoothies! Everything is so on point. All their omelets, paninis, sandwiches, smoothies, everything. I also always come back to the Olympian smoothie, which features apple juice, strawberry, banana, raspberry, peach, and low-fat yogurt. The people at Jimmy V's are literally some of the friendliest and warmest I've ever met - I always see them smiling and making conversation and connections with everyone. The inside of the Sports Cafe is lively with a strong community feel and Stanford school spirit, and it is also busy with students, professors, athletes - you name it! The red walls feature quotes like "Passion is Your Greatest Asset", "You Are Never Wrong To Do The Right Thing", and "Teams That Eat Together Play Together Win Together". Jimmy V's also has multiple HD TVs all around the cafe with different sports channels on. In addition, Jimmy V's has a huge outdoors seating area as well, with both sun umbrellas and natural shade from the large green trees. Jimmy V's is one of the best cafe's ever!!! I have loved everything I've ordered from them so far, and I can't wait to try more. Jimmy V's is also the perfect place for any kind of gathering - with friends, with professors, with sports teammates, or on your own! I am not surprised that it is one of the most well-loved, frequented, and beautiful cafés on campus. I would definitely recommend enjoying food from Jimmy V's!!!“
