“Went to the Super Bowl watch party where they offered free pizza slices, popcorn and draft beer discount. You can park in the underground parking garage. The bar and bar lounge area is pretty cool. The staff were all very nice and the food and wine that we had was delicious! We had chips and guacamole. You get a lot of guacamole. We tried their fish & chips which came with coleslaw. The fish was crispy, crunchy and not oily, the chips were tasty and the coleslaw really good. The Prisoner Cabernet was very good.“

The crab toast, the duck cake and the scallop appetizers were very tasteful, as well as our main entree (a halibut special). Our waiter was very helpful, the atmosphere was great and they also had a nice drinks and wine menu.“

“Service was amazing! Garrett was so attentive and would bring everything we needed before we could even think of asking. Service like that is what makes the experience truly memorable. The atmosphere is good too—not too loud and beautiful decor. Ingredients were delicious, but I was not a fan of some dishes (could be personal preference). The cucumber salad seemed too acidic and the pork belly with burrata pairing didn’t go well in my opinion. But again, the quality was great and the rest is personal preference. Would be an injustice if I didn’t mention that trout was absolutely delectable! Might be the best one I’ve ever had. Also, the vanilla soft serve with cardamom crumble was a hit!“

“Delicious food but maybe not worth the price. Our appetizers came super fast but the main course took a long time and we ordered the seared halibut which isn't a dish that should take a long time. The fried flowered cauliflower was amazing, great acidity in the sauce. The kanpachi was also incredibly delicious, again amazing because of a wonderfully acidic sauce. The halibut was cooked perfectly, the peas were so fresh and felt like popping boba, and the sauce was acidic again. I'm a huge fan of the acidic sauces and did not get tired of it, but that's something to be wary of if you're not a fan.“

“We love Vino Locale! Nice ambiance, great wine list, and solid snacks to enjoy. Of of the best things about Vino Locale is that the wine list isn't just the same 5 wines that you see at many other places, they offer a great variety of domestic & international wines, and treat each one well. I love the Sancerre on the menu, and appreciate that they offer 6oz or 9oz pours, half bottles, and full bottles. The Black Cabra Cabernet Sauvignon and Miraval Rose are also among my favorites. In terms of food items, I usually gravitate toward the chicken skewers are a good option and come with a few flavor/sauce options. The beet salad is good, and I often get their Brussels sprouts (know what to expect, though: they're not fried/crispy, but are tasty - served with parmesan, cranberries, almonds, and optional bacon). The cheese plates and hummus platter are also good, reliable options. Service is so friendly! They have a nice dog-friendly patio (and often have a few treats for pups), and live music most Thursday evenings.“

“If you're craving a burger this is definitely the place to come to!! SO much variety and they make their own chips and provide free pickles which are very refreshing to add to your burger!! Went here for a dinner with friends before a comedy show and I love that they're open all day so we could head over for an early meal before our 7pm show in Santa Clara! The person taking the order was so friendly and the process is so easy with the huge menus - easy to read and with SO MANY choices - burgers, salads, sandwiches, wraps, tons of sides to pick from in different sizes. And their drink selections are great - I LOVE diet dr. pepper which many places don't serve so I was super happy!!! The drinks are a self serve which is super helpful. They don't leave out napkins but servers walking around are happy to provide extra for you when you ask. So you order - get a number - find a table (which there are many options with high tops, regular seating, bar seating, outdoor seating... The food comes out fairly quickly and it's DELICOUS!! We got the ABC Burger which has avocado, bacon and cheddar cheese! My friends got it and devoured it. They said it was really good... They also enjoyed their sweet potato fries! Love the waffle shape and they had different dips they provided which were delicious. I got the Havarti Shroom! SO GOOD - especially when you add in the pickles! Hubby got the Seared Ahi Tuna Sandwich which he also devoured - having the skinny crispy fried onions provided a lot of texture and flavor. I may have to get that myself next time. And we shared a side of onion rings - crispy - wasn't oily tasty with a super light batter. For a "side" they give you a lot... I also added pics from our first visit there when they first opened. I got the short rib grilled cheese sandwich! OMG DECADENT... I LOVED that sandwich and SO filling! Hubby went completely opposite and went healthy and got the falafel wrap which he enjoyed - was light and tons of veggies with the falafel. LOVE this place - service is great - friendly and fast. and FOOD and options! hands down the BEST!! I love they give you so many options - decadent to healthy!! Our go to for burgers and sandwiches and just American classics for SURE!!“

“We have mixed feelings because our first visit, we absolutely loved the food, the attentive and fast service, and the beautiful outdoor patio! We found their burger to be very tasty/juicy despite us asking for it a bit more well done, and the brussels sprouts were so good. Wagyu Cheeseburger - 9/10, very tasty and was fantastic the first time we ordered. The second time, we felt it was a bit dry unfortunately so seems hit or miss. Pork Tenderloin - 7/10, an interesting take on the dish and not bad. We just didn't feel like the portions and uniqueness made up for the hefty price tag Green Garden Rice - 2/10, definitely wouldn't order again. We ordered it to try the hojicha but it was mostly watery at the bottom and mostly tasted pretty bland. The second and third times we've visited - we asked to sit outside and were denied due to another reservation that never seemed to show up in the 2 hours we ended up dining there. Instead, we were given a darker table in the back and we had to ask twice for the happy hour menu despite having 30min left on the actual happy hour event. Food was more dry (burger) the second time, and their Popcorn Chicken appetizer - while the idea is cute and fun, only had a few pieces of chicken with mostly a full bag of popcorn so we didn't feel like it was worth the price.“

“My husband and I visited Shoreline Lake for a quick bike ride the other weekend, and I was surprised at home much there is to do in the area! Shoreline Lake seems like a great date or lunch spot, where you can go on a hike or do an activity, and then have a snack. There was free parking in front of the restaurant, and from there we were able to unload and explore the many trails around the lake. There's seating at the restaurant both inside and outside, and picnic tables near the restaurant if you bring your own food. The restaurant also had lockers and lake equipment rentals. For lunch, I had a chicken sandwich. The baguette was nice and the homemade chips were excellent. The flavors on the sandwich were just ok for me, so I would try the veggie burger next time. My husband had the breakfast sandwich, but my favorite part of the meal was the granola he got with it! Service was a little bit slow and there's not a ton of variety in the options, but the quality is good for the price. We will be back for a date another time. It also seems like a nice place to take family or out of town friends.“

“Spending the night and the restaurant offered a weekend prime rib special downstairs and we thought to give it a try. The salad was beautiful and included heirloom tomatoes which popped with flavor in my mouth. The prime rib had just enough but not too much marble. They included mashed potatoes and were willing to substitute carrots for the asparagus. A lovely presentation and plenty of food. I ended up taking 1/2 home with me. Dessert was a light cheese cake which was perfect after feasting on prime rib. Even the coffee exceeded expectations. All in all pleasantly surprised by the presentation and quality of the meal! To top it off, our server, Veronica, was attentive without being intruding. She took great care of us and went beyond what was her responsibility to make sure we had a great meal. The ambiance is okay, nothing too special, but then again we were in a hotel. All in all we were glad to have taken advantage of their weekend special. “As a lover of all things golf course food, Birdies is a hole in one! Elevated bar food, meets the golf course. You'll find classics like burgers, tuna melts, club sandwiches, and even pimento cheese dip (which is delicious). For our mains we split a club sandwich ($15.95) and a tuna melt ($18.95). As you can tell by the photos, they don't skimp on anything. It's really enough food for two meals, and the fries and onion rings, we crushed them while they are hot. All the ingredients tasted super fresh, the bread was perfectly crunchy on both sandwiches. I think for the quality and amount of food you get, the pricing is really reasonable, especially in Palo Alto. For drinks we went with the espresso martinis, and they were delightful and reasonable priced at $13.95. Located at the Stanford golf course, this definitely a hidden spot. If you know, you know.
