“I've been wanting to try different omakase places in the LA area for a while now, and stumbled upon Omakase by Ozen online - and I'm glad I came! Reservations were made quickly and easily via Yelp, and I love that I was able to change my reservation time without much of a hassle. My boyfriend and I came here to celebrate after I took the MCAT, so we were extremely hungry when we got here. I think this place might have had valet out front, but we opted to just find street parking in the neighborhood for a ~5 minute walk (which worked out afterwards since it let us walk off our food!). The actual restaurant is a very small and quaint place; we sat at a table instead of the bar but I thought the decorations were very cute. Service was very fast and attentive. They handed us a menu as soon as we came in, and we ordered the $130 omakase - which was a pretty good deal for the quality of the food and the whole experience. I do have to say that I was not full after the meal (so my boyfriend and I ended up getting more food afterwards at a different place), but I did enjoy my time here. Definitely worth a try if you're celebrating because of the food and the service, but I personally don't think I'd come back for the omakase.“
“It was great to eat with family!!I chose All U Can, and the meat quality was better than I expected. In particular, the brisket and marinated ribs were really good. The staff were friendly and I enjoyed my meal to the fullest!!The valet parking fee was $10, which was too expensive, so I used street parking nearby.“
“After eating here for the first time, I told my brother (who I ate with) this is definitely the spot to bring the parents. A couple months later, we brought mom and dad. Enough said. Service and quality of food were really good. Highlights include marinated prime short rib, aged prime tenderloin, steamed egg, and Korean chimichurri sauce.“
“If you want good Filipino food from a family owned cozy staple in Filipino town then this is the place to go! Came by here during a visit to LA and it was recommended by some friends who live in the neighborhood and I was not disappointed at all. Here are some takeaways:EnvironmentThis is a small cozy restaurant that has a family style vibe to it. A great welcoming energy, we felt right at home. We stopped around midday during the week so it wasn't a lot of people there. Overall it was relaxing and warm - great for lunch with friends or if you're alone and want to grab a bite to eat.ServiceOur server happened to also be the daughter of the owners. She was great and was happy to share some of the history of the restaurant with me. She was very helpful with telling us about the food and giving us recommendations. Great service!Food and drinksWe had a little bit of everything - and all of it was great! Here's a run down of everything we had:MAMA LEAH'S COCONUT BEEF ADOBOANN'S CORNBREAD BIBINGKASTEAMED WHITE RICENOEL'S SMOKED GOUDA MACSAN PABLO PULLED PORKEverything was delicious. The coconut beef (amazing!) was great with the steamed white rice, the mac and cheese was tasty, the pulled pork had a lot of flavor and the cornbread was warm and sweet, but not too sweet. Again - all the food was great.OverallLovely family owned restaurant. So glad that we stopped by here. If i'm ever in LA again this will definitely be a place I'll visit again. Great food with a great story.“
“Be prepared to spend some extra cash for a lunch outing. The line is long so if you don’t like to wait come on one of the weekdays that they are open. The food is good extra rich so beware if you’re the sensitive stomach or heartburn type. So try the key lime pie or the banana pudding because they will run out and it’s delicious!Overall, definitely save this place in your “want to goes”“
“This place was awesome. First of all, Lena our waitress was so kind and willing to explain the menu to us as this was our first time. The food was delicious, I recommend getting a combo so you can try many different things. Not only was the food good but the experience was amazing as well. Lena cooked the meats on front of us (she cooked them perfectly) and you could add seasonings and sauces. Additionally, the sides are brought by ROBOTS. My little sister loved this and couldn't stop giggling every time a robot came by and dropped of some kimchi which was free with the combo. 10/10 would recommend. We will definitely be coming back soon! Thank you Lena!“
“We dined here our first night in LA during Spring Break. For a family of 4, we ordered the Taste Of Parks BBQ. All the meats and aide dishes were absolutely delicious. The service was excellent. The wait staff is great at managing your grill so you can just sit back, relax, and enjoy the food. I gave "Atmosphere" 4/5 stars because the inside can get rather loud. I would definitely come back here to eat!“
“First time trying this bbq spot and it was 5 stars all around! All of the servers are top notch and work together to make sure all customers are taken care of and the food is amazing. Highly recommend topping your meal off with the banana pudding!“
“Amazing quality Korean bbq and fantastic service. The meats are all great quality and good portions. All the staff is very friendly and quick with bringing all the items out. Will definitely be back and would recommend this place to everyone!“
“Jinsol gukbap was amazing!!! I really loved the sundae gukbap!! It had almost everything in pork . But there was sundae. The service person wasn’t really paying much attention because they were very busy. But I still understand that they are busy.“
“I found it through a Google search while traveling and was very satisfied! Thank you to Jun, who tactfully took our order and explained it in detail, and to Michell, who provided the children with steamed eggs and more seaweed. Thanks to you, we had a pleasant meal during our trip. As the name suggests, it was plentiful and delicious! !“
“We came here for the second time today and it was so much better than the first! Chris was an amazing server and was very quick and nice. The food was very good and the sides we were given were also very good. Great experience thanks to Chris!“
“Ordered Package #1 & it was more than enough for two people especially with all the banchan. Everything was super tasty & the staff was very friendly. Would come back here & order dishes a la carte if just with one other person.“
“My wife is Korean, and we have dined in all the top Korean places in Los Angeles and Seoul for over 20 years. AB Steak delivers high end versions of traditional Korean classics. The quality of the meat is superior to that of most Korean restaurants, from the melt in your mouth A5 like kkotsal to the marinated short ribs. The egg “soufflé” gyeranjjim has a light cheese sauce and more flavor than typical. Moving perfectly cooked medium rare meat from the grill to a cast iron warmer keeps the meat warm while preventing over cooking is a great idea. Service is capable and friendly.“
“Ordered the Galbi, cold noodles and soup for dinner. Quality of the Galbi was very good but it was pricy. Our waiter was an expert at grilling it patiently and cut it up for us. The hilight for the dinner was the cold noodles. It was light, refreshing and the noodles were so chewy and delicious. It's best to eat this as soon as it arrives otherwise the texture of the noodles change as it sits in the broth. The soup was average. Parking in the small lot is Valet.“
“Found this hidden gem do to a misunderstanding. Was looking for friend chicken and this place popped up on YELP. Well unfortunately no fried chicken. But we had the best bbq ribs. Tasty, falling off the bone the spicy bbq sauce was really good not really needed they were really well seasoned. My sides were greens and Mac and cheese all really good. Had to get an order of cornbread also good would've been better warm. Clean place with hand sanitizer on all the tables. No complaints, compliments to the chef.“
“Wow! The best marinated pork ribs! Come on down to Jin Ju. It isn't an all you can eat spot, but you can't beat the quality. My friend and I decided to try the prime beef and the marinated pork ribs (which is their speciality). Both meats were very delicious. They pretty much cook your food for you. The beef was cut into nice cubes. They were cooked at a perfect medium rare. The prok ribs were also cut into pieces, as well. There was a good selection of 10 types of banchan: fishcake (eomuk bokkeum), sesame broccoli, kimchi, potato salad, cucumber kimchi (sigeumchi-namul), stir-fried glass noodles (japchae), korean spinach, pickled onions, bean sprouts (kongnamul), pancake (yachaejeon), and radish kimchi (kkakdugi) . And honestly, this spot has one of the better quality banchan sides. The japchae had so much flavor, and the potato salad was also good. I appreciated that they offered the pickled onions, which goes really well with the marinated pork. My friend was also excited that they had korean spinach, which most places don't have at all. We also ordered the red pepper paste soup. It was so good! Rick and full of flavor. There's enough seating for 2-6 people to each table. It's not too big of a spot, so if you're trying to get away from the long lined spots - this is the spot to be. Service is quick and friendly. There is free parking in the lot if you're lucky. If not, you can find free street parking.“
“Most people are looking for the next big thing when it comes to restaurants. Spoiler alert, this place isn't new! It's been under your radar for decades. Family run. 2 generations and counting. Just go. Simple dining area. Small, 6 tables. I could go on but you'll get bored. Have a great time! Try something you haven't tried before. You'll love it!Vegetarian options: Just leave out the proteinDietary restrictions: VeggieParking: Open lot with day attentionKid-friendliness: YesWheelchair accessibility: You have space“
“Compared to a few years back this street food spot has gained a few more food stalls to neighbor it. There is now a bbq meet place, a salad and fresh foods place and a dessert one. I got three plates, one pad Thai, one pork fried rice and one of their new ground pork with egg dish. Pad Thai is good as always, fried rice was lacking flavor as before but they have seasoning for you to use. Their ground pork with egg was so good but holy crap it was spicy. It did have a good spice though I recommend it.“
“Food was great! The service was excellent! They take reservations on weekends which is rare in Ktown I think. We were a pretty big party, but they were so nice from the beginning. I’m so glad that I found this place! Thank you soooo much!! See you again!“
“Shout out to the person working at Old Style Guitars who recommended this place. It’s walking distance from Gold Diggers and Hollywood Forever (both great concert venues), and honestly some of the best eggplant I’ve ever had.The menu is simple and straightforward, with one vegan/vegetarian option. The tofu and eggplant bowl was insanely delicious. Huge portions, very reasonable price, and piping hot and fresh.I walked there and ordered from the cashier, and it was a ten minute wait for food. You can order online in advance for pick up from their website, and it seems like they do a ton of delivery. They gave me napkins, a fork, and soy sauce and sriracha packets, but I didn’t need them because it was seasoned and flavored perfectly. The tofu was melt in your mouth soft, not chewy at all, my favorite way of eating it. The in house pickled veggies were so good, and balanced the flavors in the dish. There were cashews for a crunch, and some onions and bok choy, all on a bed of fluffy white rice.I know LA has a ton of places to eat but I would definitely come back just for this bowl. After the rest of my group saw and smelled what I was eating, they all went to go order from there themselves and agreed it was delicious.Vegetarian options: The menu is super simple and there’s one vegan bowl but it’s incredible and totally worth it.“
“Looking for a good daechang, gopchang, and makchang spot? This is the place to satisfy your intestine cravings They also have a great selection on meat options if you're not really into intestines but if you're a true foodie and haven't had this before, I suggest you give it a try to experience something new. Don't just judge by the looks 'cus you will be surprised how good they taste. For first timers, I recommend taking your avid Korean foodie friends so they can show you how they eat this, and go for the large intestines or abomasum first. This place is usually always packed even on weekday evenings so that explains how good it is. Our server was great at cooking our meat and friendly which made our dining experience that much better.“
“One of my favorite Korean bbq spots. They have free parking with validation. Over the years though they have slowly increased their prices which is reasonable but they also removed the steamed egg and the spicy tofu soup of their all you can eat menu which sucks.“
“Met with a long time college friend here for lunch and it did not disappoint! The food was amazing, the mala taboki was my favorite. My friend and I shared 6 Yubu, sushi roll, and a hand roll to go. Staff was very friendly and we were told our food will take 10-15 mins to prepare due to the delicate and meticulous nature of preparation and honestly didn't mind. Can't rush good quality meal! Space had ample parking, spacious and even accommodate wheelchair accessibility. You can tell the chef and team put a lot of of care into their food but also making sure all parties feel welcome King Yubu, the official King of LA“
“I am a Korean living in Philadelphia. On my first day in LA, I visited for a quick dinner. I ordered Spicy pork, Bulgogi, and Korean fried chicken. I especially recommend the spicy pork! It tasted like eating in Korea. I hope to open a branch in Philly too?“
“Compared with Korean barbecue restaurants in San Francisco, the types of meat and soup are relatively less, and you have to pay again for lettuce and perilla! The overall price is also more expensive than Korean BBQ restaurants in San Francisco. Comprehensive comparison, the price/performance ratio is low“
“This is one of my favorite local businesses. The bbq is juicy and flavorful. The sides are simple and just enough. Nothing extra! I LOVE THE POTATO SALAD! The owner is amazing and such a kind man; doing a lot of good for the community. I encourage everyone to get a taste cause it’s ON and CRACKING!! 10/10“
“We've been coming here for years and I think I've been to this spot more times than any other place in ktown! They basically have 3 items on the menu: Duck, Duck, or Duck. Pro tip: If it's your first time here, just get the basic duck slices and your banchan and here's why. Although the duck here is delicious, the highlight of the meal really comes at the end. Koreans make a big deal about duck fat and it's health benefits over other types of unhealthy fat. So as you're grilling your duck in the center of the table, they plug up the grill with a small piece of kimchi and let that golden clear duck fat pool up at the end of the grill. When you're done, she'll come out with a big bowl of korean red rice, dump it into that crystal clear duck fat along with all of your remaining banchan (make sure to leave enough or order more!) and make the best fried rice from your leftover duck fat, that you've ever eaten anywhere.... This is the way. So the 3 duck dishes are basically duck slices, duck strips, or spicy marinated duck. If you order the spicy duck, it messes up the grill and fat a little and the rice is not quite as good. Definitely try it on your second visit (and you will be back after your first) but keep it simple for your first time!“
“Dining at Pigya in Los Angeles was a memorable experience that exceeded our expectations, thanks in large part to the exceptional service and culinary delights we encountered. From the moment we made reservations for our family of five, the awesome employees at Pigya ensured our visit was seamless and special.Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly staff. The atmosphere was inviting, making us feel right at home. Our server was the epitome of attentiveness, ensuring our every need was met with a smile. Their knowledge of the menu was impressive, guiding us through the selections with expert advice. This level of service was not only refreshing but significantly enhanced our dining experience. We ordered pork gyu which was enough for our family. The banchans were delicious. Our server cooked the meats. Cooked to absolute perfection, every bite was a culinary revelation. The flavors were bold, yet perfectly balanced, showcasing a level of culinary craftsmanship that is hard to find.Everything we ordered was delicious, leaving us thoroughly impressed and eager to return. Pigya in Los Angeles has not only mastered the art of cooking but also the ability to create a dining experience that feels both personal and extraordinary. This is a place where food and service come together in perfect harmony, making it a must-visit destination for anyone looking to indulge in some of the best cuisine LA has to offer.“
“I found this Korean BBQ place when last Wednesday. It was rain so not too many people. We chose the $57.00/ per person all you can eat. Meat was high quality, service was great, they helped us all the time. Especially, the Tofu Soup was so delicious even better most Tofu restaurants. Lol.If you will be LA Downtown, give it a try.“
“Came for lunch at 11:15 no wait, only one other party in the restaurant. Got the ahgassi combo and added an order of fatty beef intestine. Too much food - although it was just mom and me.Love the banchan. Love the kimchi. Mom loves the sweet potatoes. I also loved the leeks.Meat quality was bomb. Especially the intestines.Service was 5 stars. Especially Jin.“
“My boyfriend and I love this place. Staff: took good care of us and very helpful and were so polite and helped us out. Irene and jay? (Sorry I forgot his name) we're awesome! I hope I get one of them again. Place: it was very welcoming and the artwork is beautiful. Place and the restroom was top notch clean. Food: absolutely amazing! I don't know which one is my fav. Meat selection was superb "a kiss to the chef" Overall: I love it and look forward to going back“
“This place is really amazing! Literally 10/10 I would recommend. The food is so delicious, I would definitely recommend the hot beef brisket Ramen bowl !!!! And the customer service is through the roof! The works are always there for anything you need and really fast service!“
“Best Korean BBQ, charcoal really makes a difference. This place is pricey and is not all you can eat but it is fantastic. If cooking your own food intimidates you, no worries, they’re hustling staff will do it for you and help you out as needed. Set a new bar for us. Get the short ribs.“
“This is my first time trying Korean-Latin cuisine, which is so delicious! The owner suggested ordering the kalbi cheese fries which I'm glad that I ordered it! I got the rock combination plate and double cheeseburger as well! They have a self serve salad bar near the front which is convenient! The staff here so very friendly and it was a little empty at that time we came in so they were able to help us out! I loved how they put the posters around the store!“
“This corner place restaurant was just around the corner from my place. I went in and was greeted by very friendly and professional staff. They did warn me that the portions are large. I am a large guy with a larger appetite. However I could not finish everything so I suggest bringing your family and friends. The brisket was delicious and there was allot of delicious banchan. One of the course i got the Yuk Kae Jang because I like spicy food. It was perfect! Delicious and beautifully spiced! I will be ordering this soup more tmin the future. My spicy tolerance us high and this was exactly what I was hopping for.“
“Beware that it only opens on Friday afternoon. It's a chill place in the front yard. I got the Tlayuda with moronga. Very delicious and fulfilling. Oaxacan food (southern Mexican food) is rare where I came from (we have mostly northern ones, like Sonora). So this is a novel and special experience for me.“
“The food was absolutely amazing! Everyone at the party loved the food. The meat was super Tender and juicy. All the salads and bread was delicious. I’m so impressed with their service. I wish I took pictures of the presentation before we ate all the food.“
“Food was great, server was amazing, little bit on a small size so if u come late you will have to wait. Only complaint would be meat being not enough salty but thats personal preferenc, so your milage may very. Will def come back... oh n price is good.Parking: Right next to the building“
“This is an institution in ktown. It's hard to find very authentic Korean food as most are following trendy foods that cater to too sweet or too salty. Another way to know it's authentic is all the Korean grandmas and grandpas. But yes food is good and service is also impeccable!“
“Wait until the weather is warmer and eat outside because the inside grills don't use fire and the exhaust fans don't seem strong enough. Overall the food quality is a little better than normal barbecue places but we still prefer Park's BBQ or Gyu-Kaku.Service here is especially slow since they seem to lack enough staff. The atmosphere is casual.“
“Mmmm... I love eight bbq! Their food is DELICIOUS and the service is usually AMAZING! I love all their flavors of pork belly and the kimchi fried rice is so good! The place is pretty nice, even though it isn't that new so that's a plus. So I highly recommend this place if you love Korean bbq.“
“Always a quick stop for high quality food for a cheap price. Very friendly service and delicious and affordable options. A great choice for lunch or dinner on any night. My go-to is chicken teriyaki but Korean BBQ beef short ribs and Thai BBQ chicken are great options too.“
“all pretty good! clams specifically was a large amount and our group really enjoyed that theres a few of these korean seafood bbq this ones definitely more relaxed vibe younger folks too alot more drinking which is chill the waiter did alot of the cooking especially when you're with a group of girls who dont know when its ready or not seafood can be tricky we actually finished everything got the 2nd biggest combo will probably come again!“
“Very good food at a very good price, the chefs are very professional and cook the food very well, you can have the Mongolian BBQ or the Chinese food buffet, highly recommended if you want to eat well at a very good price, they have parking and they sell a delicious Thai “
“This is the second time I ordered a sandwich at LA Brisket this week! I can't believe more people aren't praising this joint! It is in a small mall/hallway in Chinatown. They have a few tables in the hallway. It's not the most convenient place to eat because of the limited seating and the exterior doors were open (causing a cold breeze). I was told by other guest that the doors can't be closed because it will lock. In short, it is easier to just order pick up and eat elsewhere. Anyways, let's get to the good part... the food. I've had both the 101 and 405 sandwiches. Both are so juicy and full of flavor with great combinations of cheese and sauce. The bread is perfectly is crispy on the outside so it hold its structure well for a sandwich but warm and soft on the inside. The brisket is the star of the show. Just the right amount of smoke and fat. It falls apart perfectly without being too soggy. The truffle fries were good. They were well done and very crispy. I'm hooked!“
“Must go here right now! Great place to eat over catching up with friends. The food fare is delicious. The skewers are meaty and you’re not getting filled up with carbs. The atmosphere is great and just overall a highly recommended experience. The chef ?? was highly skilled and knew exactly what he was doing. Would go here again and again and again and ag…… ♾️“
“The food is delicious. My order is the Kefta plate & Love the style of pita. I assume this is a family owned business because the people who take your order treat you like an old friend or a family member in the best way. They show their customers so much love. & I walk out feeling like these are good people, doing all they can for others. I totally recommend & will be back for more Kefta.“
“Small parking available, street parking too. Small indoor seating with bar and out door seating. Few beers on tap. Service was quick and friendly. Food was hot and delicious. The pulled pork sandwich was great. The ribs and chicken melted off the bone. All in all good experience.“
“The original Baekjeong location has now changed to Origin Korean BBQ. The meat quality is excellent, and the barbecue is expertly done. Service was quick, and the prices are fair. The only downside is the buckwheat noodles; they're too tough in texture . Overall, I'm satisfied and definitely plan to return.“
