“Authentic taste with great experience. We ordered Mysore masala dosa , podi idli and Madras dosa. Crispy tasty and real podi chutney.Although sambhar is not spicy at all and it has more sweet taste. Sambhar didn't had drumsticks and masala as it is supposed to be authentically.Chutneys are definitely tasty. Also like their buttermilk specially the fresh fragrance and taste of curry leaves. We had take out yesterday and uttapam is great too.Even samosa were crunchy and imli chutney is damn tasty.“
“First visit here but won't be our last! Enjoyed Roti with divine veggie curry sauce, crispy tofu topped with mushrooms & carrots dressed with superb scallion sauce, and yummy garlic pepper chicken. Service was excellent and helpful. Highly recommend this delicious and affordable dinner in pricey “downtown” Menlo Park.“
“An absolute favorite that I am sure to visit on every trip to the Bay. Very unique fusions of Indian and Californian flavors with something for every palate. My favorites are the sesame leaf, burrata kulcha, house salad and dry boat scallops. Also don’t sleep on the cocktails. Very nicely crafted.“
“The food is consistent and incredible. The staff is all friendly and helpful. You can almost always be seated immediately. Very delicious lunch specials. I love meat usually but the vegetarian options are fantastic. This is my favorite Indian restaurant in RWC.“
“Food was great!! My daughter loves the butter chicken as she says it melts in your mouth with the amazing flavor. The oyster mushroom was delicious with the great texture!! And my son enjoyed the butter naan. Service was wonderful as always and the atmosphere was welcoming and aesthetically pleasing.“
“I work close to here and love the food. It's a cool spot to get lunch during the workday when the weather is nice.I usually order on door dash for pickup and walk down with my office mates. You can usually get a table, but it does get crowded, especially at lunch time. They have lots of vegan options, which is great! Definitely recommend the vegan potato thali. The only thing that could use improvement is the service. They are always very busy, and have lots of takeout orders. It makes things a little chaotic, and they get a bit mixed up sometimes. Don't eat here if you are in a hurry - you might have to wait a bit for them to sort things out.Overall I recommend this place if you happen to be in the area.Vegetarian options: Vegan stuff! Check it out ?“
“Swekar was very helpful - thank you! - explaining dishes & making suggestions about which Nepalese dishes go together. The Buff momos, chilli badel (wild boar), aloo tikki (potato pancakes), & naan were all delicious!(The first time we ate here, we stayed with 'safe' choices. Delicious, but safe. The reviews encouraged us to try new dishes!)Hāmī phirtā hunēchauṁ! (We will be back!)“
“I have been to this place only a handful of times. Each time the food quality and service never ceases to amaze me. The food is spectacularly delicious. The service is quick. Don' t let that deter you in thinking the food quality must lack. On the contrary, they use fresh ingredients and the fact that they are so busy they food turn over is great. you know you are getting fresh cooked food. Hands down the best pakistani/indian restaurant in the bay area. I recommend the halwa puri thali on the weekends and the spinach gosht on the weekdays with garlic naan.“
“Ok this is the 4th time me and my wife we usually visit here every Friday on exactly 11:15 am . The place is always clean and tidy as always i have visited and the girl who is the server she is so sweet and nice . Her customer service is so nice and how sweetly she describes every single food . She is so cute . Ok talking about food we always order veggie momo steam tofu tika masala garlic nan and chowmein bowl with gobi manchurian so delicious mouth watering delicious food. I really recommend you guys to visit if you guys want good nepali and indian food in San Mateo downtown.??“
“I went to dinner with my colleagues recently. This was an amazing place. It is quite different from the typical Indian fare. Enjoyed the dinner and the experience thoroughly.Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options were available on appetizers as well as entree.Parking: Parking behind the restaurant.“
“I have been going to this restaurant every week for almost 6 months now and it has always been a delightful experience.Their staff is really nice and polite and the atmosphere is very cozy. While their menu is very diverse, the dish that I have liked the most here is their thali. It is simple, home cooked, soulful food served in brass plates and it brings so much joy every time I eat it ! I highly recommend it !“
“Very good taste. Tried Malai Kofta, Saag, Chana masala with Onion Kulcha, Rice and Garlic naan. Too good. Chana masala was less salty which you can pour on the top but wonderfully cooked. How can I forget complementary Bhajis. Thanks a lot.Yummy!“

“Great food - every dish we ordered was high quality - the kids cheese dosa was perfect with what looked like Amul cheese. The owner kindly supplemented the chutney with ketchup / hersheys chocolate as an alternative when he learnt our kid had nut allergy. The Chicken Dum Biryani was flavorful and huge portion size. The rava dosa was probably the best we’ve had in the Bay Area. Highly recommend eating here, the owner was extremely kind and went out of his way to make our meal enjoyable.“
“Came at lunchtime with my mom and had a wonderful time. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and the lunch buffet is a really good deal with all you can eat, fresh naan, and hot chai.My mom loved the goat curry and i liked the butter chicken. Will definitely come again!!“
“I usually order spicy pav bhaji here. Its tastes really good and the chai here is a must try. There’s a transaction fee (1$ i think?) added if you swipe the card for <10$. Better to carry cash if you’re going just for the chai, which i usually do :)“
“TLDR Butter Chicken Pizza! I have a confession to make... I LOVE Indian Pizza. I love Indian food (improbably, since I don't like spicy!) and I love Pizza! So to me, it's a match made in heaven! First time, I had this perfect mashup was about 15 years ago in Los Gatos, near my old workplace. Since that place closed, I haven't had a decent one since, and I've looked! I found this place on Yelp, and thought it would be the perfect place to meet my old co-workers for lunch. I was a bit wrong. The first sign of trouble is, you don't actually see the sign for this place. It's called Fast Pizza, instead. Second problem is the word... Fast. As in, this place seems to be primarily meant for take-out (like Pizza Hut is nowadays). There were only 2 small tables in the place, with chairs that were a size too high. This is not a good first impression. We managed to take the high table, that only had 2 high chairs for the 3 of us. Awkward! But the pizza was worth it! I'm super glad the guy taking the order asked us if we like Cilantro on it. NO! I hate that herb, and I'm super glad the guy asked us about it. The butter chicken wasn't that spicy, which was right up my alley. The chicken itself was baked very well... juicy and not dry at all. And the sauce was simply delicious. Much better than any marinara sauce. I think if I lived close by, I would gladly come to this place. I really like the pizza, it was flavorful, chicken was juicy and the dough was fluffy. Unfortunately it's a bit too far for take-out. I guess my search for the perfect Indian Pizza place continues!“
“Went on Monday evening, it was full packed. We had to wait for 15-20 mins. Worth of wait time. Food quality and taste is good. Even its Nepali restaurant I felt Indian taste. We ate kothey momos, veg chowmen and. Panner chilly. All were delicious, especially kothey momos. You must also try masala tea, it was fantastic. Service was okay as it was busy. They charge 3% for credit card payments.“
“We friends were meeting after a long time and wanted Indian vegetarian food. Hence we decided to come here. This is the first time we have been trying out. It's a self serve place as you will order first and pay then you can eat at the table or do a take out. If you sit and eat, once finished you will have to clear the plates etc. It's a small place, food was okay. We decided to have paneer thali and one of the friends had gobi paratha. We also ordered bajre ki roti since it's healthy and has fiber in it. The palak paneer tasted sweet, which is a rare scenario so I didn't like it much. The Rajasthani gatta curry was okay. Kaju Paneer curry was okay. I didn't find anything great or unique to call out. The service was good, the lady at the counter was very helpful who showed us the menu that was posted on the wall and shared what's available for drinks, etc. We didn't order any drinks as they have soda, tap water and mango lassi. It gave the buffet style. You have to use a paper towel for napkins as there weren't any available. I think this place is more of a take out business than a restaurant dining place.“
“I discovered this restaurant through yelp. It is a tiny hole-in-the-wall place with less than 10 tables. They are used to catering to offices and a to-go place. Incredible Food - the flavors of are unique and delicious. Food is medium spicy. Service is fantastic - I got good recommendations - Salmon Curry, Chicken Momo, Veg Fried Rice, Paneer Masala Curry and Garlic Naan. After the meal, even the chef came out to meet us. It is awesome to meet a friendly Fremont family owned establishment. I would strongly recommend trying this out.“
“Food here was excellent. The only reason it is 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the fact that there is no indoor space or seating. But still worth it. I believe the other locations might have indoor seating, but I've never been and don't know.“
“Best paneer pizza I've ever had. The quality has remained excellent even after so many years. The dough is made in house, the paneer is generous, the pizza is tasty and looks great.I ordered a half and half medium size pizza - Vijayawada paneer and Butter paneer.“
“Excellent salad bowls clearly prepared by folks who care about providing healthy delicious meals. Came across this place when the owner posted on Nextdoor this weekend. Ordered through DoorDash and the food arrived in great condition. The bowls were very well prepared per our instructions and they even put cute little hearts on the boxes which my wife adored. The owner truly cares about providing the customers a great experience. The bowls were very tasty and portion size was very good. The chicken was perfect, and the sauces (makhani and chaat) were super tasty as well. The waffle egg in a heart shape was not only novel but very appetizing as well. This is a very novel concept and we are big fans. We will certainly order regularly!“
“Family owned and run and so delicious! The samosas are unlike the tough crusted ones elsewhere. The dough must be a family recipe because the crust on these is tender, yet crisp. Also, the mint dipping sauce has a nice spicy kick that rivals the tamarind sauce for memorable flavor and mint isn't even a favorite flavor of mine. Their chicken korma is also really good. I've stopped comparing kormas because they vary so widely, but theirs is warming and comforting like the best of them. I ordered everything with medium heat and for me, it was perfectly spiced, lingering on the tongue only a few minutes, but I will try it even spicier next time.Parking: Follow map that Curry & Kebab features on Google Maps. A little unclear if you can park in the covered parking area while the spa store is still open, but there are plenty of spots beyond. Note: this is a one way parking lot that exits onto Ivy St. You can circle the block to get back onto El Camino.“
“Finally a place with tandoor. The chef is super welcoming. We had kebab wrap, paneer tikka, Chicken achari tikka. The paneer melted in the mouth. The food was 9/10, the -1 is because my pallet is as Delhi as it gets, +1 back is because comparing this to Delhi is unfair and am just so happy to have a place where i can smell of tandoor. Finally a north indian food place that has tikkas ?“
“Great little Indian restaurant on El camino real road. It is run by a family and you can see the warmth in the food they meticulously prepare. The taste is on point to what you'd expect from a North Indian restaurant even back in India, we had chole baturas & aloo tikki chat. You know the food is good when you eat it so fast and forget to take pictures :DThe seating is limited and not fancy at all but I grew up appreciating the small restaurants that give you great food and don't charge you fancy money for interior and decor.“
“The place is quiet and relaxing, the menu sets themood. They have a very wide variety to offer in pizza both classic Italian and the fusion Indian ones, the place is neat and clean , unfortunately I couldn’t enjoy the bar since we were early in the day. The garlic bread was really something to try. The one thing that stood out exceptionally well was the pizza were really really very well made and generously topped with veggies and paneer alike which really makes the experience worthwhile unlike many other places in the Bay Area. Last but not the least the host was really really nice.“
“Shahi Chaat food truck in San Francisco exceeded expectations, especially with its must-try masala chai – the best I've had in the city. The flavors were rich and authentic, making it a standout beverage. The food truck experience added to the charm, giving a convenient yet delightful setting.“
“Anyday the best Indian pizza in Fremont. They're service is fast. I have never sat down and dined.Usually I order and pick up. Their menu is amazing very diverse for both veg and non veg. I love the achari Gobi pizza and they're chicken wings. I have Done birthday party orders here and they are pretty quick. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a good India pizza spot in Fremont/ Union City area“
“All preparations are very good. Doordashed the food. There are 10 pieces in each Momo order. Quantity of noodles was pretty good. It fed 5 kids. Sauces taste great. Chilli Garlic chutney is very spicy so be vary of that who cannot eat hot spice.“
“This review is been pending for many days so thought of finally writing it down.I & all my friends love their Pani Puri none of the store bought puris come close to this establishment they sell good quality products, the crunch of the puris & freshness add to the taste & experience of Pani puris that's the reason I have been going to this shop for almost 2 decades.I just want to inform that they only sell all the ingredients necessary for making Pani Puri & chaat u need to do it yourself at home as per your taste. I don't mind it, given the excellent quality I think that's the reason it's little expensive which is ok for us.I have tried all their food like -Bhel mix - ( I add chopped onions, jalapeños, tomatoes, avocado, fresh coriander & chutneys as per our taste)Papdi Gathiya (excellent taste) all my friends love it especially my Gujarati friends they always tell me outside India this is the best & authentic taste.Chaat puri- ( I customize it at home adding potatoes, onions, tomatoes , chutneys & Sev ) also I add it in Bhel mix too for added crunch.Sev - this is used in various chaat items like Sev puri , Bhel puri , Pav Bhaji , Dabeli etc.Mohan Thal (sweet) I loved it.Pani puri paste ( I customize it at home)Their 3 chutneys - Mint & Cilantro, Red Chilly Garlic & Tamarind Date chutney ( sweet tangy & spicy) which is good & I love that we don't have to make it from starch especially when u have the craving to have it suddenly (which I often get it) can't live without chaat. We have taken all of the above at various occasions like Holi, Diwali, Birthday parties which was a thundering success everyone in our friend circle love this shop.Their customer service is excellent I always preorder for parties & they have always taken extra care In packing the puris & chutneys.Plus I love that it's a small local mom & pop shop I & my husband always support local business especially from past 2 yrs it's very difficult for small business to sustain.I urge everyone to please support all the local business.“
“I grew up in the 2000's here and there was this place called Shalimar on this same street (El Camino Real) and it was my favorite takeout place. The Naan + Chicken Tikka Masala was such a unique and excellent taste. Unfortunately, they closed few years back.I was shocked to realize the taste in this Shah was the exact same. The consistency is commendable. Though the prices have gone up in these 20 years, not once did that ever-so unique and brilliant taste ever differ. As a child in the 2000's till today in 2024 it has been the same. If you are looking for some Indo-Pakistani food around this area, this is a good option. Be sure to take the tea when you go to pick up the food. It is quietly great.“
“Wonderful, Unusual and Delicious, Pizza. My husband and I both enjoyed our pizza’s. We both got cauliflower crust My husband’s idea for food is, the spicer the better so he chose just that. I settled into my curry, not hot chicken pizza. It was great! Our server was Annette and she was informative and delightful. If it was closer to us it would be our go to!“
“I was disappointed with a lot of nepalese restaurants in SF because of their food quality and cleanliness. Went to visit Google campus and stopped at this food truck for lunch. I was amazed by the the taste of the food they served. The Chowmein had an authentic Nepalese taste and the momos were served with local Nepalese sauce. Very tasty. Service was pretty fast as well. Highly recommend this place.“
“Went here on arecommendation from a friend of mine. Did not disappoint. Went and had the lunch buffet on a Saturday. Place filled up after we got seated.Good selection of dishes. They had a coconut shrimp offering that turned out to be my favorite. Most biryani was pretty good as well. Will definitely be back.“
“We came here for our valentine's dinner on the day before Valentine's day. Definitely need to reserve before going. Ambience is great as always. Service could be better, there were no pleasantries, was hard to catch hold of a waiter and the dishes took forever to come. This time we tried the tandoori chicken bomba, paneer pinwheel with some naans. The Bomba was interesting and the paneer pinwheel was amazing. You can definitely come here for a special occasion as it is on the pricier side.“
“We visited Koriander yesterday for dinner. The staff was welcoming and polite. We ordered Chilli Paneer,Tandoori Roti,Butter Naan,Malai Kofta,Gulab Jamun. The food was served quickly and everything was fresh and tasty. Gulab Jamun was my favorite as it was very soft, fresh and tasty. We will definitely go back to try some more dishes.“
“Amazing ghee jalebi & cholle bhature! All made fresh at the time of order. Seating is limited but service is quick and extensive menu items from sweets to savoury. They also recently started their lunch & dinner buffet service. Definitely a must try!“
“We ordered chicken biryani and steamed chicken momos. The momos looked like potstickers unlike the ones i see here with the reviews. This is the first time we're having it though so I'mnot sure.I really liked the chicken biryani. Itbwas spicy for me. If you can't tolerate spice, ask them if they can lower the heat. They did not skimp on the chicken. Portion sizes are on the smaller side though. One order is good for 2 people with normal appetite. If you have a huge appetite or hungry, an order is good for 1 person.Staff was very friendly. The place is small. Maybe just 6, max 8 tables inside. If you come on a weekday before dinner time, I think you will be ok. There is also outside seating so it is not a problem. I would go back to try other dishes besides the ones we ordered.“
“Excellent Indian restaurant in the heart of Foster City. Small unassuming restaurant which at first glance not impressed. However, the food was delicious. Garlic naan was excellent. Tikka masala lamb was flavorful. Love the mango lassi. Will definitely return.“
“Very good Vegan choices! Vegan crumbled sausage and vegan cheese and vegan pies. Vegan crust and also cauliflower crust choices! The flavors are spot on and very very delicious! Also has normal pizza choices for all the non-vegans and it has vegetarian choices! I believe it's a must come and see restaurant!“
“A good restaurant wants to feed you good food with authentic flavors. Tried their hariyala chicken on a previous visit and found it delicious. Tried Hyderabadi Chicken Dum Biriyani and Goat Curry Chettinad this time along with their roti/chapatti bread and really fragrant lassis. We ordered medium spicy but it was still on the hot side by Delhi standard so will order mild in the future. But the thing about their food is how well the flavors of spices shine through in the curries. Absolutely loved it once again. The restaurant is small (limited seating) with small service staff, but their attitude is great. Highly recommended if you are craving flavorful Indian food from Hyderabad. Best on a cool/cold evening.“
“Discover the newest hotspot in Sunnyvale, California, nestled in the heart of Silicon Valley—Butter Chicken Social. Whether you're craving chicken kabobs, chicken kati roll, or their irresistible gulab jamun cheesecake with berry sauce, this place has it all. Despite initial hesitations about the dessert's sweetness, it pleasantly surprises with its perfect blend of flavors, textures, and sweetness. Plus, the restroom's cleanliness is remarkable. For those seeking quality dining experiences and willing to invest a bit more, Butter Chicken Social is sure to become your next favorite restaurant.Vegetarian options: Paneer Puffs, fries, mango boba lassi, naan, penne pasta in pink sauce, dosa batter cauliflower 65, and moreParking: Easy to find parking and easy walk to the restaurant“
“We walked in in the middle of the afternoon long past the normal lunch hour. The paneer 65 biriyani was amazingly tasty, despite the high spice level. The server warned me in advance of the spice but I was happy to try it out regardless. Great food overall.“
“I thoroughly enjoy their vegetable coins and chili garlic noodles; the flavors are truly delightful. However, I've noticed a decrease in portion size that doesn't quite match the prices. It would be great if they could reconsider this aspect for a more satisfying dining experience.“
“We love this place! Anthony--wow!--what a great bartender and room manager! The drinks are superb, and though we know they're all premixed by the house, there's still wonderful flair in preparing them (ours had a little stick-on-fire garnish!), and serving them with heart and enthusiasm. Plus, Anthony keeps the room and bar super-clean and tick-tocking along all evening. He's lovely, warm, and efficient. GREAT JOB. ONE THING TO MANAGEMENT, THOUGH: This place feels like a discovery--a little speakeasy. So the ambiance gets ruined by the fluorescent light and bathroom hallway view. First (and my dad ran restaurants, so I have a little experience with this), I'd either hang a full length of beading that blocks light and bathroom, or I'd consider a full length door that goes up to the ceiling. Beads (or those metals strands that you can get at a hardware store would work) will be cheap. And owners should sit up on the bar in the evening and notice that the fluorescent is right in your eyes, and the view looking toward your partner at the bar is pretty bland and destroys the vibe. (My dad always said owners should sit where their customers sit and feel if the chairs are comfy, if the light's right, if the place lends itself to groove or romance or cool.) No one wants to feel like they're drinking in the bathroom hallway. Plus the room is so, so cool, it deserves its own separation and specialness. Thanks for the great drinks and food!“
“This is my all-time favorite restaurant. The one I measure every other (mostly Indian) restaurant against. I’m not a very adventurous diner so I’m going to tell you about the entree’s I’ve tried. The Chicken Tikka Masala is tender, grilled chicken in a creamy, vaguely tomatoey miracle sauce. It’s medium spicy and I literally will eat it with a spoon like soup. Don’t judge me- I can’t be sauce shamed. The Butter Chicken…I have no words. Another spoonable mouthful of goodness. Also a tomato/cream based sauce with a bit more heat and sliced chicken breast. The Naan is fluffy and airy, the fried bread (don’t know how to spell the actual name) is tasty with chewy and crunchy bits. Fluffy rice, great Samosas and the Chicken Tikka Biryani is a spicy eye watering yum! I get mine without onions because I don’t like them in anything. They have a nice lunch special offering and are closed between lunch and dinner. And Tuesday. The owner’s are a friendly warm couple who greet you by name after your first visit and are happy to share food recommendations. They’ve never run afoul of my timid palate so I’m comfortable promising you won’t be disappointed in anything off the menu.“
“We went with friends and family, it was amazing experience. Makke ki roti and sarso ka saag make you feel food cooked by your mom. House thali was having ample amount of dishes and rice. Definitely will recommend. Five star.Vegetarian options: Makke ki roti, chane ka saag“
“These folks can actually make stuff spicy enough for me to appreciate! That's high praise for a food court restaurant. They typically shoot for the broadest acceptance, but brave palates such as mine seek out bolder flavors, and Curry Up Now is here to accommodate!“
“My partner and I stopped by for lunch and were impressed! The restaurant's prices are worth the quality of food and service. The appetizers were fresh and served with flavorful chutneys. The curries were generously sized and tasted rich and delicious. The garlic naan was tasty if a bit fried. And the entire lunch special is only $20 on weekdays!Vegetarian options: The weekday lunch special has a few vegetarian curries“
