“We had the chilled sesame-soy shrimp noodle salad. It was cool and delicious, sesame-soy flavor. It was perfect to have at a warm weather such as today. But anything you get here, you won't be disappointed. They make it delicious and good portion size. They have excellent service and the staff are accommodating. I had asked for a cup of ice because my tea with the ice had melted away. The guy was nice and quick to bring me a cup of ice. Great staff, great service and beautiful ambiance sitting outside by the garden to eat delicious lunch. What more could you ask for?“

“Had dinner there with my wife, nice staff and quickly served. The waitress was nice and allowed to substitute chicken with tofu (your choice of regular or fried) for the curry, which was not on the menu. My wife really enjoys the mint chicken but I have to say that the curry was a little watery and tasted like most of the spice came from black pepper. A little odd, would probably try something else next time.“

Little too doughy for me.For the udon we tried the miso carbonara and the hot dragon. I would say that they were both good. Carbonara is very creamy and milky while the hot dragon packed some good flavors. The hot dragon felt like it was more food than the carbonara.Took about 15 mins to get our food so a bit slow but I think they handcraft the noodles so many that’s why it took a while? About $50 for two udons and an app.“

“Totally worth the 70 minute drive. Delicious food and great Taiwanese hospitality. Friendly, attentive staff and wonderful atmosphere. Minced Pork (Lu-Rou) Rice, fully loaded delicious stewed pork with egg. Meats are juicy and tender, kinda on the sweet side. Clamshell bun (Gua Bao) comes with tender thick cut pork, a bit on the salty side, but very well cooked. Fatty but not greasy. Thousand layer pancake with egg and basil was crispy and flaky. The basil flavor is a wonderful addition. Scallion bread sandwich was what we expected. Same tender thick cut pork, very happy to eat this. Next time I will probably get the beef, too much pork belly today Wonton soup is very classic, if you like shrimp wontons, you have to try this. We ended the meal with Hakka mochi and Oolong tea, the mochi tasted just like the ones in Taiwan. The tea was fragrant and is just the perfect compliment to the mochi. Overall an amazing meal with warm and friendly people, highly recommend!“

Food:- House special braised beef noodle (5/5): the soup is PACKED with flavor. Tendon is so soft. Noodle is perfectly cooked. - Braised pork rice (4/5): tender pork. Not too flavorful. “If you haven’t been here before the setup might be confusing. You should head all the way to the back, go to the cashier, tell him the number of people, get a table number from him, and then get a bowl and start putting stuff you want in the bowl. The bowl is weighed and charged by the pound, but you don’t pay until you’re done eating. Then you hand the bowls to the cashier to order what type of soup you want. They hand you order numbers and you go to your table and just wait for them to bring you food. You can also make sauces at the sauce station. When you’re finished, bring your bowls back to the front and pay. Also note that you get one tong for picking up all the foods, so if cross contamination is a concern or you have food allergies, this might not be the best place to go.The lady in the front was not helpful and just shouted Chinese at us and acted like we were in her way for not knowing the rules. Some of the customers tried to help us too, but they should really just post the rules outside the store or in front of the front door to help newcomers. I think if you look East Asian, they will assume you speak Mandarin, so you should mention that you don’t speak it to clear the air. The rest of service was fine and nice, just the initial confusion didn’t feel very good.“

I am so glad I suddenly remember this restaurant last Saturday, the first day of the Chinese new year! The interior decoration is perfect for Chinese new year! This is My family's first time visit! They all love it! Perfect for pictures! It is a shame for not many people knowing this place, because they are only two tables occupied during our 1.5 hour visit. The only waitress is Miss Iris from Taipei. She is super nice and friendly! Fortunately, when we left, there were two parties coming in! We love the food maybe because the owner and the chef are from my hometown Taiwan, according to the waitress! The presentation is so beautiful! Perfect for my Facebook postings! “Read about this place in the paper. Bae and I are always saying things like "we should explore the culinary delights of the sgv" but are often intimidated because we don't speak Chinese and have little familiarity with the cuisine beyond the white people Chinese restaurants of our respective coasts (she east, me west). We ordered from the internet even though we were there because we had our dog with us. The noodles were extremely, extremely good, the other ingredients (beef, chicken, veggies) were pretty standard. If i was to return I just get noodles straight up, I feel like the other stuff just distracts from the main event. Bae couldn't eat hers because she comes from a place (new england) where people say stuff is too spicy because there is PEPPER in the dish. Like, the pepper you have at your house. I cooked a dish with pepper once and her mom wouldn't eat it for that reason. Also the service was good, they actually called us because they were out of something we ordered and wanted to make sure they gave us a refund or something else.Unless you are a monster two people can split one dish here, any dish. If you order more than one dish per two people left overs are a given. Also, we drove around for an hour before we got home and the food was still warm.Vegetarian options: Noodles! Both were very good and I had to bring one of the spring rolls home as it was a lot of food. Would recommend trying it out if you're craving some Vietnamese cuisine.“

“When thinking of soup in the Pasadena area we have our favorite places. Last Friday evening we tried this fairly new Ramen place that has been open about two years. When walking in we were greeted and seated quickly. The place was not so busy for a Friday evening but later more customers did arrive which is a good sign. We were seated and the menu was simple and prices were in the range of other soup restaurants in the area. We got our water and tea quickly and the servers kept our water glasses full. Very attentive staff. My wife ordered the gyoza and the Tonkatsu ramen and I had the Shoyu Ramen. Food was delicious and if you don't like your food too salty, get the more creamier Tonkatsu Ramen. My Shoyu ramen had spinach which was surprisingly delicious. The food portions looked small but once we started eating they were very hearty portions. I was not able to finish my noodles. We will definitely be back as they also have Mazesoba here which is dry noodles with egg. Can't wait to try these dishes.“

“I've been here twice before when it first opened, and both times I thought it was too salty! So I never went there again.I stopped by for lunch today because I was nearby, and I didn’t expect that the food tasted just right! The service is also very good! I asked the lady at the counter if there had been a new boss? She said no; but the taste had been adjusted! I’m really happy that there are so many new options for eating pasta here.“

“We love this place :) The older gentleman who works there is always very friendly and helpful. It feels like a mom and pop restaurant, very cosy. I usually get udon and the popcorn roll and my partner gets the bento box. We've tried most of the dishes and enjoy them all. We keep coming back not only for the food but the warm welcome from the adorable older man who works there, he reminds us of our grandpa :)“

“I love this place so much!! The prices are reasonable. You can make your pho a large for a small price. The fried shrimp egg rolls came out hot and fresh.FYI - they put the rare steak into the pho rather than on the side. If you want your meat rare then ask for it on the side.“

“My favorite restaurant in Arcadia. I highly recommend the liang pi (cold noodles), ziajiang (dry noodles), and Guilin soup (noodle soup). Plus their Guilin soup is my go-to hangover soup dish. It basically saved my life.edit: Forgot to mention, their portions are huge. It's well worth the price. You can easily eat any entree for 2 meals. For me, it takes closer to 3 meals.“

“2023.09.16 \First visit/Originally, I wasn’t very interested in eating noodles in LA, but Flavor Noodles changed my mind. This time I ordered fatty beef noodles in sour soup, Sichuan style fat intestine noodles, and red oil noodles. I can’t choose which one is more delicious, I like them both! Looking forward to ordering something else on my next visit that I didn't have the stomach for this time.2024.01.09\Second interview/I finally had the opportunity to visit for a second time, but today I was a bit disappointed. I ordered beef noodles with raw pepper, Sichuan-style fat intestine noodles, and red oil noodles. The Chao Shou was more delicious than the last time I had it, but the taste of both bowls of noodles was a bit bland. Last time the sausage was very full, but today it looks thin. The beef noodles with raw pepper are quite spicy. Will be willing to visit again to see if today was just an anomaly, but will order back the beef noodles in sour soup next time.Recommended: Fatty Beef Noodles in Sour Soup“

“I tried many Indonesian restaurants in the area before and hands down this Wayang restaurant offers the best and most authentic Indonesian foods. I just love the wonderful combination of flavors and fragrances from the tropical spices used in the cooking. Additionally, the owner Lily is very friendly and attentive to all guests. She makes sure everybody is satisfied. It's always been a great pleasure dining at this place. Highly highly recommended! You should definitely give it a try.Vegetarian options: Gado gado ( steamed veggie salad with peanut sauce, tofu and rice cake) is one of the best vegetarian dishes anybody should try ( whether they're vegetarian or not). So yummy!“

“Hakata Ikkousha Ramen is in my top 3 of favorite ramen restaurants in LA. Specifically the black devil ramen, which is my go to order. The fusion of the garlic from the black tonkatsu and the spice from the god fire makes the perfect broth. Chasu is thin, and the egg is cooked perfect with the yolk runny. I go in on the noodles and order kaedama (extra noodles) for only $2 more. I order the noodles hard with the spicy level 3. I have a high spice tolerance, so 3 is perfect for that kick and very enjoyable. At times I get level 4 spicy but it can overpower the black tonkatsu broth because it's pretty spicy. 5-star ramen, excellent choice for a cold night! All the staff are enthusiastic and just overall a great authentic ramen experience. The restaurant is small so prepare to wait at least 25 -45min for dinner.“

“Amazing food, friendly service! The waitress explained how everything was and was super friendly. The soup came very quickly and it was absolutely delicious. There are several soup base flavors, I picked the sour/spicy one which reminds me of pickled veggie with fish soup, which I absolutely love. They also have small dishes, the potato strips are the best I've had in the US so far, they were thin and soft and reminded me of China.Prices were reasonable too!“
