“AMAZING!! My husband and I went to San Diego for a quick getaway and wanted to try Chiefy Cafe based on the reviews. We were so glad we did as the coffee and food is Amazing! We ordered the Open Mind Fat Burner, Mexicano Latte, Acai Bowl, and Turkey Bacon Avocado Croissant. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious - we wanted to savor every bite!! The staff is so friendly and Camile customized the Turkey Bacon Avo without the bread for me, as I am gluten free. We only had 2 days left in SD and went back to Chiefy Cafe and ordered the same thing each day. Camile & Larissa assisted us and were awesome! HIGHLY RECOMMEND CHIEFY CAFE!!“
“I LOVE acai bowls and was pleasantly surprised by Northside Shack's variety of toppings. The bowls are expensive, as many are these days, but the large ($17) was great to share between two people. You can have as many bases (acai, pitaya, or coconut) as you'd like with unlimited toppings. There are some additional toppings available for a cost, and adding peanut butter for $2 was very worthwhile. Peanut butter complements the fruit so well and there was plenty in the bowl. There was a bit of a wait as the bases may be blended fresh and it was busy on a weekend around noon. There aren't any tables but a few benches and chairs outside the shop. The North Park Mini Park is a couple blocks away if you're looking for a picnic table. They gave us a plate with our to-go packaged bowl which really helped catch the many toppings piled on top of the large bowl.“
“Starting my day in the Mission Valley area and found this nice coffee shop. It’s in a business area that you’d never really think about going to. Free one hour parking through a ticketed gate. The caramel and salt cold brew is YUM. Highly recommended. Also had the egg, sausage and cheese breakfast sandwich. Hit the spot. They have some different drink options such as super smoothies and cold brew cocktails. Definitely recommended if you’re near the area. Very close to Dave and Busters also.“

“This place was a nice find. I love açai bowls, and this place did not disappoint. I met the owner Kevin who made my bowl. He was a really friendly guy and made sure that my experience was fantastic. I like the fact that you can make your own bowl, by choosing the ingredients, sidenote, they make it you choose it. He said that all of the fruit is fresh that they shop for daily. Everything is organic they have seating inside and out if you like me and you love this type of food don’t miss out on this place.“

I ordered a salmon bagel ($9.50) and my friend ordered two stuffed croissants ($6.50 each).Salmon bagel: on first glance I thought they robbed me but after my first bite I was pleased. It looked like they only gave me slivers of salmon, but they stuffed bits of it on the top and bottom piece. That thing was evenly blended with all ingredients. Only note is not much cream cheese but I’m biased because I’m a cream cheese addict lol. Would definitely recommendStuffed croissants: they did not look or taste the best. Both were Soggy mush in the center and crispy on the outside. Favorite parts were the burnt pieces around the thing, not a fan of the filling. The cheese reminded me of low quality mashed potatoes. “Came to this drive thru to try some coffee, my favorite part is that you can park at the target and sit outside or you can just pull up with your car. The baristas were nice and helpful. The drinks we got were a bit slow to come out, which is something you should consider coming here, despite the drive thru (greater than 10min for 2 drinks). Also the drinks we got were pretty sweet so make sure you ask for less sugar if you don't want it to be too sweet. The outdoor seating is cute and not a bad first date spot if the weather is nice!“

I had the chocolate yogurt ice cream with milk chocolate chips in a medium size and it was perfect and delicious - and I am particular about what I like in yogurt ice cream because they are not all the same in quality.The owner of the business was very pleasant and helpful and the store was attractive and clean. We go to La Mesa's main street now and then and now I know where to go in the future for great yogurt ice cream there.“

“As a nice hangover treat, I DoorDashed everbowl. I'm not usually a matcha girl but for some reason it sounded good so I ordered a build your own with matcha and coco base. Since I don't usually like matcha, it makes sense why I wasn't crazy about this base but the coco was AMAZING. The coco base tasted like coconut ice cream. Plus agave and almond butter is always a great combo. What really got me was the everwich sandwich. It's chocolate açaí in between two vegan cookies and tasted like a chocolate ice cream sandwich. If you're lactose intolerant and want an ice cream sandwich please go try this“

The staff wasn't very helpful they were aloof and clearly don't understand what it means to have a customer service job....serve the customer make suggestions. Needless to say the staff making the drink was quick and efficient so that's a plus and my daughter liked it. Will we return? If we do, I hope the staff steps up their customer service.“
