“My friend and I had the best time at the Wine Merchant. The layout of the restaurants gives that market atmosphere. Pretty cool. Everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable about the food menus and gave great recommendations. I will definitely stop by during my next trip to Paso Robles.Parking: There are limited parking spots behind the restaurant, but there is a gravel lot next to it. Also there is street parking as well.“

“I don't always love going to tasting rooms in town. I like going out the rooms right at the vineyard. But this one had good reviews so we gave it a try. The room is charming, a former train station office with high ceilings and nice furniture and bar. We have discerning taste when it comes to wine, and these incredible blends of Grenache, Syrah, Petite Sirah, Mourvedre, Tannat, etc were really out of this world. We bought 4 bottles after our excellent tasting session with Jim. May join the club in the future. Highly recommend!“

Chris, our curator for the evening, skillfully selected wines that stole the show by offering delightful side-by-side tastings. The Pinot wines I had the opportunity to savor danced gracefully across my palate, leaving me completely satisfied with my wine choices for the night. Meanwhile, my partner thoroughly enjoyed the full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignons and concluded the evening with a spectacular pour of the Era, a selection of the very best grapes from that year's single vineyard selection.
