“Tucked away in the corner of a small center on Ventura Rd. and Hueneme Rd. is a secret little gem of a restaurant. The affable proprietor and chef, Yuno Balthazar, insists on offering generous portions of top quality ingredients at great prices. On our first visit for breakfast, my wife tried the chicken and homemade waffles while I had the French toast, with strawberries in a sweet cream sauce. Both our meals were delicious.

We returned a week or so later to sample his Italian-themed dinner menu. The hefty portion of chicken parmigiana served over pasta was tender and flavorful but not overly spicy or drenched in sauce. As an East-coast transplant from an Italian restaurant family, I can be picky but I was pleasantly surprised.

My wife loves a good burger so when a friend raved about Yuno’s, she insisted
we go for lunch. Served on a soft bun, with pickle, lettuce, tomato, cheddar cheese and the chef’s special sauce, the huge double patties of lean, top quality beef were cooked to a perfect medium rare. I had mine with a crisp house salad of lettuce, tomatoes and cucumber served with a zesty Italian pesto dressing. In addition to the wonderful food, the staff is friendly and professional. In only a few months, Yuno’s Cafe has become one of our favorite local restaurants.”

“Izakaya Jin is a friendly place to dine with authentic Japanese cuisine. They offer amazingly fresh sushi, sashimi and nigiri. Hot dishes are just as good! The special sets they create for various holidays are out of this world. We lived in Japan for seven years and we are so thankful to have found a place that offers some of the best food in town!”

“This place is cute! Great coffee, welcoming atmosphere, kind staff and especially kid friendly. They have a little book corner and a few games for kids to play while their parents enjoy some coffee or a delicious pastry.

“5/5 Stars for BEST fried chicken anywhere. Kind and fast service. We dined in although several came in for take-out while we were there. Safe for kids, lots of parking, cold canned or bottled drinks. A fried chicken plate for only $10. Not going anyplace else for fried chicken as this place 100% beats any fried chicken chains! Ps: bring your own pepper! They don't have any.”

I frequent all IHOP and always tip 25% so maybe some organizations don't want the business.

“We visited my friend at her house at 19th hole grill and we would have a buffet like chicken tenders Pizza french fries and we would sit on the couch and watch TV and we would listen to music having a chat in the living room and luna light Fury is on the first chair and Toothless is sitting on the left chair and luna light Fury is chatting and dart is sitting on the right chair and pouncer is sitting on the bottom chair and the is hiding under the table and Toothless is asleep and Stormfly's mother is Roaring to stormfly”

“Really amazing place! We felt like we found this hole in the wall place that mainly locals know. It was not inundated with tourists and service was quick. The front desk lady at our hotel had recommended it so we tried it out.

Every dish was great. At the time of writing the review, I forgot what we all had. I had a combo meal, but we really enjoyed the food. Again, service was quick and very kind. The dinner was good value for money with fairly large portions to feed our family .”

“l Love Starbucks. I visit the store 3-6 times a week depending on my work schedule. But I am so tired of going to my hometown Starbucks (Channel Islands) and it either being closed all day, closes early or only can get drinks from the drive thru. Ever since the manager has changed at the store it is almost impossible to purchase a coffee. Your stocks are done and now I can't even get a coffee from your business...so disappointed”
