“Everything is terrific at laguna cafe, best hamburgers in the county. The service and the people who work there are fantastic and the customer base is friendly and fun. It's just one big happy family with great food .This is a friendly spotservice and happy people. This is the place where everybody knows your name. Don't miss it.“
“Husband brought me here for my big 4-0 birthday dinner. This is a cute little place tucked away in a small shopping center in an inland area of San Clemente that I never even knew existed. We chose to sit on the patio since the weather was really nice.I felt the service was a bit slow, but we were the only ones outside, so maybe they kept forgetting we were out there. It was fine though, we weren't in a rush.We started with the Burrata Crostini and it was fantastic! The balsamic glaze gave it that extra kick that took it from average to great. You are served five large pieces of bread, we took two home. For dinner he had their Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms. Six mushroom caps filled to the brim with sausage, veggies, and cheeses, baked to perfection and topped with sauce, I think it was hollandaise? They were DELISH.I had their flat iron steak, which comes with chimichurri on top, and a mixture of creamed corn, spinach, onions and roasted chiles on the bottom. WOW. I asked for it medium rare and it was spot on. The portion of steak was much bigger than I had expected. This was one of the best cuts of meat I have had in awhile, and this isn't even a steakhouse! We were too full for dessert, even though their offerings sounded great. I loved the wines I had, especially the Pinot that was recommended by the waitress. He was happy with the two beers he had. We aren't in this area too often, but I will definitely come back here next time we are!“
“we had eaten at Romero‘s about a year ago, and even though they were crowded, we found a table for the four of us.. The service was good, so food was good and we decided we would be back again. This last New Year’s Eve I called the number that I thought was Romero‘s cuisine and made a reservation for 6 PM for four hours. When we got there, they said they didn’t have a reservation, but would accommodate us anyway even though they were booked up for the evening. We had a delicious meal and Service was excellent. We just returned last week after the movie with two other couples and again we had wonderful service and a wonderful meal. We were looking forward to going back there very soon. We love romero’s cuisine. I hope you try it soon..“
“Such a lovely gem! Excellent wine, tasty flatbreads and bites, service is super friendly and fun. You can either sit inside on cozy tables or sit outside and enjoy the view of the lake. Of course I had to take a couple of new favorite wines home with me! Thanks for such a great evening!“
“First time visiting. Service was excellent. My food excellent but one person in our party got something different from what they ordered. The other had filet and it was just ok. Will definitely go back but probably make different menu choices.“
“Went for happy hour and ordered off that menu. Cocktails were expertly prepared and in nicely chilled glasses. While their specialty is wine the cocktails were excellent. The 3 cheese board was exceptional, but could have had more bread and a variety of choices to mate the exquisite cheeses. The truffle popcorn was to die for, and the sliders were scrumptious.“
“We walked in on a sunday evening (off season) and was seated promptly. Very attentive service, food was good, staff was friendly. Cozy and lively atmosphere which was nice except for a large group of women nearby was so loud, we had to shout at each other to be heard.I am sure accepting large group is good for the business but not great for other customers.“
“Another wonderful evening at Piccolino Ristorante in Mission Viejo. We had reservations and, upon entry, were greeted by McKenna, who is such a positive, friendly, and professional person. It was so nice to see her smiling customer friendly face upon entry. We were also greeted by Devor, the manager who is so kind and welcoming. We were seated by McKenna and then were introduced to our lovely server, Shelby. Shelby was terrific and took our dink and appetizer order. We started with two Patron Silver, Club soda, three limes muddled and mint. Also, we ordered the eggplant souffle, and I had a bowl of zuppa del giorno. Both appetizers were wonderful, as was the fresh bread. The ambiance was peaceful and quiet. Devor introduced us to the new manager when he is off or serving tables. We welcomed Jeff, who has much restaurant experience and comes from high-end restaurants here in the O.C. We also had a surprise visit from chef Paul Sotello, who wanted to make sure my wife's salmon was cooked to perfection. My wife had the King Salmon entree, and chef Paul wanted to ensure my wife was happy as she liked her fish cooked thoroughly. We also visited with Tina, one of our favorite and amazing bartenders. She is a wonderful person. I had the paccheri Manzo, which is a filet mignon pasta dish, and wow, it was amazing. We finished our dining experience by sharing two scoops of spumoni gelato and a cup of coffee. Everything was fantastic. Highly recommended“
“Arrived at 5:00. Advised by several other friends about the noise. I was sooooo noisy, we could hardly hear each other!!!! Tables are jammed right next to each other !!! Hard surfaces on floor & ceiling!!! Will only try the bar area or in the summer...outside. Never again inside!!!“
“Me and my friend come here a few times a month and every time it's been great. The servers are super nice and remember us as soon as we sit down! I feel as if we are 20-30 years younger than the usual clientele but they always treat us with respect, and we always feel welcomed, (A bit of a rarity for this area.) Even if you don't love wine, this is a great place to stop by. It's definitely my favorite place in SJC.“
“What a treat for us loving outside of wine country! These are legit, well-crafted wines from some of our favorite vineyards in SB. Clearly a talented wine maker who knows where and how to make quality vino. We will be back for the warm service, non-snotty education and fantastic wine!“
“The service here is great, they served our food to our plates for us and held the door for us on the way out. Not used to that kind of service at casual restaurants like this. The food was great too. I highly recommend the lunch special - you can choose 3 options from veggie, chicken, and a lamb dish. It includes rice and your choice of naan, along with yogurt (not sure what it was called, but it was delicious). It was all among the best Indian food I’ve had. We’ll be back, a lot I hope!“
“We made reservations for Dublin4 and it seemed pretty wild so they walked next door and sat up at the high top at Wineworks. Such a better atmosphere. Both restaurants share the same kitchen and restrooms. And there’s a lot of similarities between the menus but this has the better options.I always complain that OC doesn’t have great food but this place knows the game. And the wine menu is excellent. I even had a Pinot Noir from Baden, Germany. All dishes were excellent and the service was even better. Only complaint is the parking is terrible so good luck, maybe the lot is bigger in the back.“
“i came here for a late lunch, and it was an excellent experience. i tasted the best cheeseburger i've ever had here. it was phenomenally juicy and filled with flavor. i was seriously blown away! the french dip sandwich was also decent. on top of the excellent food, the service was also top tier! i would definitely come back. the location is right next to the coast, which is also a plus!“
“My husband and I love going here, I take my ladies and try go as often as possible. Kerrie is such a warm and welcoming woman, she is knowledgeable and helpful when you want to explore. Personally, I love the charcuterie board she puts together. (The honey is delicious!) Wednesdays and Sundays you're sure to have a great time, but really any day!“
“The pizza is pretty good. The service is better. At least our server was. He was funny and nice and made my son who is shy AF feel so comfortable and happy. Couldn't be more pleased. The pizza isn't something that will make you never forget this place... but the service is so memorable. The ambiance is chill. If you have a chill dog... the patio is perfect. Definitely check it out.“
“Nothing bad to say, the food was outstanding, the meatballs and potatoes wedges were excellent. Nichole, our server was kind and incredibly organized, we brought our dog and multiple employees came out to learn her name and talk to us about her. The drinks were great too! (Mai tai. The pricing was fair for the quality of food and atmosphere.“
“This small wine and deli boutique is located in a small strip just behind a gas station. Limited parking but there is handicap parking. They have metal tables outside the door for relaxing and consuming your meal. The door is covered with signage and rules but don't let that deter you from entering the establishment. The inside drink and wine area is clean and well-stocked. The organization of the products was great. As I walked to the back, to my right was a wine tasting bar and to my left was a pretty nice deli. The young lady at the cash register greeted me upon entering. When I walked to the back of this quaint deli/wine store I came to a cooler well stocked with local and imported drinks of all kinds. It's not just a wine bar. It's not just a deli. It's an experience. They had many sandwiches to choose from but I chose the sausage breakfast burrito. It was recommended by the clerk that I get some green sauce with it and she was right. The burrito was pretty big and crafted with care. With each bite, I had a taste of the eggs, sausage, cheese, and hashbrowns. Many burritos I encounter are just thrown together and rolled up where you get a different burrito in each bite. You could see the care even in the wrapping and cutting in half for easier consumption. The size of the burrito:The burrito is about as round as a Starbucks Venti cold cup and the length of a Venti Starbucks plastic straw. The breakfast burrito was cut in half for easier consumption. It took about five minutes for the burrito to be ready for me to take it to go. Total was $10.76 with tax as of 1/7/24 and was worth it.It was a lot of fun browsing the cold fridge drinks and entertaining myself with their clever names while I waited for my meal.I definitely recommend this secret wonder if you're ever in the Aliso Viejo, Ca area.“
“3/2/2024Had a pretty perfect dinner with my friends. The steak salad was perfect and I also enjoyed the spinach dip. I wasn't drinking so would like to go back and try the wine. Service was good and the restaurant was clean. I'll be back on another trip. The live music was good too.“
“The server was great! Need more vegan options for dinners. Also, it was my birthday, and I told the server I was vegan. He brought desserts to the table that were not vegan. Thank you for the desserts though! Service was great. Wine was good. The noise level was very high.“
“Excellent restaurant and bar, with a wine room and a good selection of various wines. They have a surf andturf special on Tuesdays consisting of steak and lobster tail that is very reasonably priced and quite tasty. The service is excellent.“
“Went in on a cloudy Sat. afternoon and was greeted with very friendly service. Found wines both my husband and I enjoyed. We were going to order food from their menu, but they told us that a local pizza co. would be setting up in the back, if we wanted to wait for that. We ended up ordering a charcuterie and a couple pizzas, and it was all delicious! We went to Frisby to try something new and walked out as wine members! Looking forward to our next visit.“
