“This place really delivered on the lamb Gyro. I brought my wife here soo she could try the lamb Gyro and she was impressed. This place has to be my favorite place in the East Bay to get a Gyro. The prices have gone up since I first heard of them but still hasn’t everything. Still, it’s a heck of a bargain and your taste buds won’t be disappointed. my tummy is always happy after I eat my lamb Gyro. Thx“
“This is the best Greek restaurant out of Greece we have been to! Everything was amazing - the octopus and grill fish are must try! Great wine too. We had Stephanie for our waitress and she was the kindest person we have fall into , was really awesome talking to her during our dinner ? Reservation is a must!“
“Myself and 3 coworkers were in town for a work conference and we decided to ensure we try local restaurants. Frascati was absolutely fabulous. The food was extremely delicious the atmosphere was amazing. The restaurant is right on the cable car route and that gave it an extra special touch. The service was fantastic. By far one of the best restaurants I have ever been too. Thank you Rebecca and Jon, if I make my way back to San Francisco I will definitely be back!“
“Yes!! Tarocco is the restaurant that we all needed but didn’t know! So fresh and healthy and delicious. Upscale enough for a nice work lunch but you can also show up as you are. Bravo!Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free and dairy-free friendly.“
“Located in the Presidio, Dalida has THE BEST pita bread ever! Trust me, you'll want to order an extra to enjoy with the hummus that comes with the dish "breaking bread". Dalida expertly cooks their lamb, I highly recommend ordering the lamb shoulder. Another dish that I also enjoyed was the octopus, which is plated artfully. One dish that didn't meet my expectations was the chicken. I was hard to cut and wasn't cooked throughly. Our waitress was super gracious and took the chicken back and had the kitchen fire up a new one, which was also just meh. Give this place a try, I'd just not order the chicken. Parking is fairly easy and there's outdoor dining for those rare non freezing cold SF days.“
“My friend and I had the BEST time here Saturday night!!! The service was amazing and everyone helping us was incredibly friendly and kind. Our servers went out of their way to make us feel special and were so much fun to interact with. They even came running out of the restaurant after us to give me my phone that I had left on the table by accident! Highly recommend - great atmosphere, delicious eats, fabulous time!“
“This place is awesome and hidden away! We never noticed it. I almost don't want to say too much about it because then it'll get full of people and we won't be able to get a table! The server was super nice, the coffee was great. the food was spectacular and free baklava came with our bill! Really best Levabese food I've had in a while. yum.“
“We love going to Terzo-it never disappoints. Atmosphere is good-lighting excellent with a nice buzz to the room. Our server we've had multiple times and the continuity in staff says a lot . We split the arugula salad/grilled asparagus /meatballs on polenta and split a main entree the Greek chicken -with the exception of the aspragus which was pedestrian everything else was terrific-highlights were the meatballs/polenta and the Greek chicken—there's always something new on the wines by the glass list -had the Chianti Classico and the Timorasso-server was terrific as usual-we'll be back-“
“We ate here for dinner and the food was very good. The restaurant is small and cozy, and the seating was comfortable. We had the falafel plate and the Alexander's favorite house special. Both plates were filling and we left happy. They have complementary tea and water.“
“Amazing food at a reasonable price with generous portions. The interior has an industrial aesthetic, but it's comfortable and the staff are very friendly here. They have a great selection of Gluten Free options and they have the best shawarma fries in the area!Dietary restrictions: Plenty of Gluten-Free options here!“
“Great experience with Greek-inspired bowls. The meats in a salad bowl keeps things "light".This location can get pretty crowded and the chairs can be difficult to pull in/out. Squeezing between chairs can be tricky.Neighborhood was fun and felt safe here (early evening).“
“Highly recommend!!During a road trip, our visit to Sumac became one of the highlights of the entire journey.I really enjoyed the meal. I highly recommend the meatball wrap and the meze flight. The mezes were just amazing. Worth trying, specifically Hummus, Baba Ganoush and Muhammara, definitely a real Mediterranean experience. The banana pudding is a must-try delight.Super kind staff, clean and great service.Thumbs up!“
“Overall a really nice, cozy, but dimly lit neighborhood restaurant. With uniquely organized small plate meals. They've stood the test of time. There is a lot of variation on seating; from a community table, to small 2 and 4 tops in the 2 window front, to a patio and then to a front covid style patio on the street front. Why a 4? Possibly the dim lighting, combined with the excess noise inside.“
“We love middle Eastern food. Zaytoon has the best variety and taste. I was treat for Iftar. Thank you so much.Vegetarian options: Hummus, tabola, musaka, felafel, soup.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes it's easy to get around the restaurant.“
“Absolutely delicious food, fast and friendly service, and a nice covered outdoor area in the back to dine in!The staff and owner Khaled are lovely and it's always a pleasure to interact with them. You'll always feel welcome visiting and satisfied leaving!“
“My partner and I are in town for a funeral and we had to kill a little time between our vrbo check out time and our flight home, so my partner found a place for us to get some food and a drink or six. ?Luckily for us, they found The Fat Lady and it was SUCH a wonderful experience! Our server, Elizabeth, was so incredibly delightful and helpful. She made great recommendations and didn’t hesitate to tell us that she wouldn’t mind if we had to camp out for a couple hours, or more, despite our profuse apologies. And that’s not to mention that she was incredibly fun/funny, and dare I say she was a bit cheeky (?) but in a safe and super respectful way. Not only that, she made our dining experience even better than it otherwise would have been - coming and going with the flow you just instantly know is a true mark of high intelligence and skill in the profession. Now, the food. Gawd. The food was so tasty.I very much enjoyed the oysters, that came with lemons, real horseradish, and garlic butter. And I had the Atlantic salmon fillet as my main. My partner had the French onion soup and a baked potato that they found to be delicious on a cloudy/drizzly Bay Area day. As for the drinks… We very much enjoyed the Bees Knees and Cupid’s Arrow cocktail, as we did a spicy mezcal cocktail that Elizabeth suggested for us.By the way, the ambience and atmosphere is absolutely fantastic. It’s almost like being in your kooky rich aunt’s mansion, it’s incredibly ornate and beautiful inside, with art and curtains and lamps. I was in a seat where I could see a stained glass window featuring a rose pattern, making it that much more special.Needless to say, after our time at The Fat Lady, we’re both adequately prepared and smiling before our flight home after a handful of difficult days. Thanks for your hospitality and patience with us, Elizabeth & Staff. Hope to see you again, someday soon. “
“healthy, nutritious, pocket friendly food. we tried the falafel wrap and the chicken shawarma wrap. they were delicious! they are still in the hospital early stages of opening so didn't have burgers and other items available yet. we can't wait to try more PS: their curly fries are addictive! so so good. def get the fries basket“
“1st time. Not familiar with this cuisine but it was so good. Had the beef plate with humus, salad, a bread, and rice. Everything fresh and well seasoned. Ate the humus with the bread and this humus was so good compared to store brought. Going back “
“Top neighborhood gem… owner/ chef makes healthy fresh Salmon, lamb and chicken Mediterranean dinners with organic veggies and farro or rice… served in a cozy, not overly fancy spot with white tablecloths and a good wine list. Affordable! Best bargain in North Beach. Have the tiramisu for dessert!!“
“March 2023: This gem of a place is still here, post pandemic (if there is such a thing), and their service and food is top notch! Please drop by and show some love, chicken salad comes with a lot of protein and is fairly priced for the area.Old review: I had a hunkering for Mediterranean-style cooked meat and fries. This place hit that spot.Located in FIDI on Battery (between Pine and Battery/Bush intersection). Went at noon and the place was busy but not overwhelmingly so. Slight wait for my food after ordering but that's expected at noon.Food was good and reasonably priced. Ordered the Greek plate with chicken. Came with a bunch of fries, meat, a big dollop of tzhiki (sp?) sauce and some pita bread. It was good.I'll be back to try a salad next time. 3.6 stars that rounds up to 4 stars for the service.“
“Super good selection of Mediterranean and Moroccan dishes. Zatar, lapneh, merguez at all sorts of things that are hard to find. Great selection of wines including wines from Morocco. The interior design was a combination of Moroccan and San Francisco images melded together. Or server was very attentive and spoke both Moroccan and French. We will return!“
“We all had different dishes. We had the lamb, the prime rib, and the two chicken dishes. The server was lovely and welcoming. The food was so good and so fairly priced for the portions and taste! The place was empty and it does not deserve to be!“
“Living in the Sierra foothills, I don't get much opportunity for Mediterranean food so was craving it this SF evening. When I walked into NB Gyros, I smelled that unmistakable but unfortettable aroma of grilled meat so I ordered their grill sampler. I also ordered an appetizer of baba ganoush and a cold Stella Artois. The baba ganoush arrived quickly and I devoured it. I'm no expert but this was so delicious and I wanted more. Next, the grilled sampler came and I was amazed at how much food was included. There were two varieties of chicken, beef, kofte, and lamb, rice, salad and pita. All the meats were flavorful and had that delicious char I was looking for. The chicken was a little overcooked and dry but still delicious. I couldn't finish this big platter so was offered a take-away box, which I gladly accepted.I know I'll return because the service was fast and friendly, the atmosphere was open and welcoming and the food was delicious!“
“David, our server, provided an amazing experience with menu explanation to food and drink suggestions. He and his team kept our drinks full and the food coming. The atmosphere is super lively with refreshing decor. Love the beautiful blue mosaic and stone walls. We (table for 2) were sat at the same time as three larger parties (6-10). David made us feel as though we were his only table tho, he managed all of us at the same time... maybe superman's cousin? We enjoyed 'Ready 4 Anything', Brussel Sprouts, Butterleaf Salad, Charcuterie, Duck Confitt, Flan and their signature Espresso Gelato. Lucky us, resturant week! Would recommend this location found on the third floor above the Embarcadero and conveniently located to the Hyatt Regency. Go and Enjoy!!“
“Valentine's Day dinner with bae. So we made reservations at Bagatella we still had a wait even though we got there prior to our reservations. It was packed and. Due to it being another cold wet night in SF outside seating wasn't an option for most. So we ended up finally being seated in the back booth lucky us cause in the front it's a bit tight on the seatings especially on the left side. I'm not going complain. Like I said we got a booth our server was Great pleasant and inviting. For V day they had prefix menu We got the heirloom tomatoes and crab cakes. The crab cakes were perfectly crispy on the outsides and delicious and moist on the inside. The heirloom tomatoes and the fresh mozzarella drizzled with the balsamic we also both enjoyed the lightness and freshness of the dish. For our main course we both picked the lamb shank on a bed of risotto. The lamb was fork tender already deboned in a delicious sauce reduction. The risotto was definitely the star of this dish though creamy seasoned buttery and al dente. For dessert we chose the bread pudding and key lime pie. The custard filling on the key like was velvety smooth sweet and tart all at the same time. The bread pudding wasn't your typical bread pudding. It tasted more like cake then just bread and topping it off with that vanilla ice cream was a great job. Overall we both enjoyed our experience here. The lemon drop martini yes yes“
“5 Stars because it's right across the street from the IRS. Whether you leave that building happy or sad, both attitudes could use a cold brew and a croissant -- both of which were good. This cafe is exactly what you need, exactly where you need it.Considered dropping it to 4 stars for not providing the opportunity to get drunk if that's what you needed after the an IRS meeting instead.“
“Well , to start off I do believe I was the first of the day, so you guys really need to clean the grill a lot better !!! the meat tastes burnt!!! other than that the flavors were there , the pickle the lettuce, yogurt sauce, the dill. The pitas were perfect 10 outta 10 . WAYY SMALL PORTIONS!!! S SIGN OF THE TIMES I GUESS...“
“My people for life! Always amazing times, so many great memories. Thank you to Anna, Toodie and all the bartenders here. Birthday parties, Christmas parties, Halloween parties, and just because parties this is the place to be with a family atmosphere and always safe. Have a cocktail and enjoy . Love Wally's Greek food, convenient restaurant right in the back of the bar.“
“Food is incredibly good, the place is darling with a really good vibe…beautifully decorated. The owner and his son were the staff and they were so much fun…it was a really fun and unique experience. Support your local delicious small business!!!“
“This place is AMAZING. Hassan was also such a sweetheart and so kind!My partner and I ordered the Jordanian wrap, the chicken shish kabob wrap, the chicken plate, and a couple baklava. It was all super yummy, especially the falafel and roasted cauliflower in the Jordanian wrap, and the chicken was the most soft and tender I've ever had. It was literally falling apart. We're definitely planning to come back and try out more items :) Only constructive feedback I can give is that the hot sauce could have been spicier! We had them both and they were both mild for us.“
“I’ve been eating at this place since 2016, I’ve never been disappointed my son my husband and myself are obsessed with their food. From the owners to the staff to the food to the place if I could give it more stars, I would they have the best Mediterranean food they have authentic recipes from back home Palestine if you are a lover of Mediterranean food, this is the place to go. You won’t be disappointed trust me.Nawell“
“Service was really great! Everyone was friendly and food and drinks came out quickly. Server was circling around the whole time, so we didn’t have to wait ever.Steak dish was good, especially the mashed potatoes. We also liked the hummus, croquettas, and the salad.Cute spot, cold inside though.“
“If you accept up front that this is NOT a restaurant, it is a ghost kitchen, it doesn't get much better than GastrobotEats. They "are" Sumac SF (Medditeranean), Saucy Salads, and Soupchu ... so you can mix and match across three menus. We went with the mezze platter from Sumac SF (five vegetarian options) with meatballs and chicken. The pita is awesome, everything was fresh and warm, and the service at pickup was great. Note that it is on a busy street-corner, there is no obvious spot to park, but pickup was quick and painless. The food was great, and we'll be back for pickup. UberEats and GrubHub drivers were all over the place, but our food was ready exactly when they said it would be.Vegetarian options: Not just vegetarian, but gluten-free options. If you don't want pita, you can get vegetable sticks. They put the meats on salads or rice for GF folks, and most dishes are vegetarian.Dietary restrictions: They have gluten-free options for many dishes.“
“We had a fabulous night here last night! This place is a bit removed from the overpriced part of Sausalito with million dollar views that caters to tourists. I have no issue with those places - the food is quite good, but this place gave us an elevated experience. The manager (wish I had asked his name) was charming. He was our server. We had a delicious watermelon salad, a prosciutto pinsa, a whole branzino, and a nice bottle of wine. We ended our night with a dessert I could eat every day: the dark chocolate gelato with shredded halvah (and other stuff that I can't remember). Utter perfection. The vibe is cozy and nice inside. We will definitely be back! Thanks for the muscat!“
“I came from NYC needing a perfect place to have a coffee and stare at the streets. Kind owner and they had epic amounts of the New Yorker. It made my heart smile :) Thank you for making me feel at home with a wonderful espresso and time with my husband.“
“Going back into the office three days a week is tough. Well, at least I can eat at my old favorite restaurants around Fidi again. Oasis Grill is still around. I can't believe it. Most of Drumm st. feel abandoned. We got the beef shawarma wrap $17 and a vegan deluxe bowl $14. It didn't taste as good as before though. Still very good. My shawarma wrap had plenty of meat and had a lot of flavor. Good job everyone at Oasis Grill.“
“Now seeming to operate as a quick stop for ready to go food. I must say I can’t believe this place doesn’t have more reviews. Literally sitting across the busy Ghirardelli Square right on N point street, I came with low expectations and left warm hearted by Hadich’s amazing service. The food is reasonably priced, my pizza was tasty and can say it was much better than other pricey popular places around sf. My colleagues come here for the burgers, combos and soups. So I will for sure be trying those next time!Totally worth your buck ??“
“Boulettes Pizza Bar is a hidden gem in San Francisco. The restaurant is located in the Ferry Building Marketplace, and it offers a delicious selection of pizzas, pastas, and salads. The pizzas are made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and they are cooked to perfection in a wood-fired oven. The olive oil is also excellent, and it is used to great effect in the dishes. The service is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is casual and relaxed. One of the best things about Boulettes Pizza Bar is the Lola sempre Margarita pizza. This pizza is made with fresh mozzarella, San Marzano tomatoes, and basil, and it is topped with a drizzle of olive oil. The pizza is cooked to perfection, and the flavors are simply incredible. The crust is thin and crispy, and the toppings are fresh and flavorful. This is one of the best pizzas I have ever had, and I highly recommend it. Another great thing about Boulettes Pizza Bar is the location. The restaurant is located in the Ferry Building Marketplace, which is a beautiful and historic building. The marketplace is also home to a variety of other restaurants, shops, and attractions, so there is always something to do before or after your meal. One of the only downsides to Boulettes Pizza Bar is that it can be a bit busy. The restaurant is popular, and it can be difficult to get a table during peak hours. However, the wait is usually worth it, as the food is so good. Overall, I highly recommend Boulettes Pizza Bar. The food is delicious, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere is casual and relaxed. If you are looking for a great pizza in San Francisco, this is the place to go. Here are some additional details about the food and service: The pizzas are made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and they are cooked to perfection in a wood-fired oven. The olive oil is also excellent, and it is used to great effect in the dishes. The service is friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed. I hope this helps!“
“We only had three items but they were very good. The Gyros Wrap and the Gyros Platter. Both extremely yummy. Great texture in the wrap. Loved it. The harmon fries were spectacular! Really garlicky. And the texture was perfect. Awesome crispness. A little on the pricey side overall but a nice treat.“
“GREAT FLAVOR, GREAT FOOD, GREAT PRICES.Been hunting around the East Bay for a couple of weeks now looking for that good Kefta And Doner experience, and I was really disappointed with a couple of the restaurants because their meat just didn't have any flavor. Really bland. Not here! Ordered the Kofte kebab plate, and it was absolutely delicious. Tender perfectly seasoned on fresh pita bread, a scoop of rice, both yogurt and hot sauce, and a dollop of Baba Ganoush. This is one of the best combination Middle Eastern plates I've had in the East bay, ever. I highly recommend this place. Clean interior, friendly staff, clean bathroom, and it easy to find location.“
