“It’s a worthy dive bar with a frigging delicious hamburger. We went for the atmosphere having walked by on our vacation to Manhattan Beach and had to go back. If you love an authentic old bar and are happy with a great cheeseburger and chips and can overlook a sticky table and a bit scary bathroom situation, this is your spot. “My daughters (4-7) were spellbound by the “inside / outside at the same time” space. And I absolutely loved the plant filled atmosphere. Food was above average too! The one hiccup was that we ordered a flavoured coffee flight & they were all iced! Wife said she knew, but I didn’t catch that they weren’t hot coffee. So people really like cold coffee?? “I got there just before the dinner rush. The outside tables were filling up, and the bar was full. Great Service. The most amazing food. They gave complimentary homemade flour tortillas, butter, red salsa, and green avocado salsa. Wow best tortillas I ever had. Then finish off with the three most flavorful De Filet Mignon Tacos that just melted in my mouth. The meat is very tender, and the flavors are like a bite of heaven with every bite. JD the GM runs the place very well.“

The sound was amazing, they cleaned the microphones and made sure the sound was always spot on. The bartender were attentive and provided free water for everyone. “Always consistently good food. Had the salmon and salad with brussel sprouts, and my friend had the grilled chicken sandwich. Seasoning was robust, but not too salty. Waitress was friendly, introduced herself, and had no problem with request for two checks for the table.“

“This place is a gem, I am so glad to have finally tried their food. There are lots of scrumptious options to choose from and right when I think I've made up my mind on what to get I spot the daily specials board. Mind you I did get in late for dinner so they were mostly sold out of their specials but I did not leave disappointed. The staff is friendly and very attentive, they make you feel like family. The chili is DELICIOUS! I loved it, I even took a pint of it home. Their poke is good, it was marinated with sesame oil and green onions. I also ordered a bento box and the somen salad and brocolli medley were the best parts. Overall a solid place to have a satisfying meal.“

“We went there for my girlfriend‘s birthday and I have to say it was pretty spectacular. We had a drink at the bar. The bartender was very attentive and accommodating. The hostess came and sat us down when we were ready to be seated. Our waiter was well informed and told us about all of the specials. We didn’t want for anything. “We lucked out and came on the last Saturday of the month when the dueling pianos duke it out vocally and musically and they delivered for us and our kids. They played crowd favorites and kid favorites. Not a lot of places you can hear Sweet Caroline followed by Peaches from Super Mario Brothers. The service was great too. “This place has lots of good memories for me. If you love beer be sure to check this place out. They always have a huge selection of beers that they rotate. With so many beers, it's super fun being able to pick a new beer with each round . Not a lot of places with this much selection. They are nice enough to give you a few samples if you can't commit, or pitchers if you can. Def a dive bar. Lots of regulars and locals. Weekends can get packed, especially in the summer. They also have live music on weekends. Food is bar food but tasty. My friend is obsessed with their wings.“

If you're Japanese, you'll love this place because it tries to replicate the smaller bars in Japan with it's food selection, cocktails, service, and ambience. It's great for small groups of up to 4 or dates, where you want as few people around you as possible, but also right next to you. I don't think they can fit more than 20 people in there and if they did, it would be too crowded. So keep this a secret!“

And our server left a carafe for us to refill .I ordered dessert to go , white chocolate bread pudding with the bourbon caramel glaze on the side $12.00. it probably is HEAVEN served warm at the restaurant but I ate some it at home at room temp. “My first introduction to Bac Street was walking from my house to Thirsty Club and I was a regular until my last interaction... anyway, Bac Street is closer to me than Thirsty or Paddy's but it closed down for a long while due to pandemic. They're open now and just as neighborhood friendly as before. The only reason I'm giving 4 in lieu of 5 stars is because they don't have any snacks. No pretzels, chips or nuts. So come FULL.“

“It’s such a lovely dump LOL! Love going there on Wednesdays for the rib eye steak. I hope they don’t ever remodel or change a thing in there including the ripped up mish mash chairs, wobble tables… it’s our favorite happy little place. “This was the first place I came once I hit my grand 21. I absolutely love it. Diana is a sweetheart, she treats you like family, I've been coming here almost a year now. I'm on a first name basis with most of the bartenders, they're all great, I absolutely feel welcomed and valued here. I try to come here at least once a month, I love the ambiance here. The patrons here are always friendly and welcoming ❤ They're the best of the best here. 10/10 recommend.
