“My partner and I found this place on a whim when our plans unexpectedly changed. Now we can't get enough! We drive over 40mins to get their chicken strips with fries often. They are the best we have ever had! The flavors are amazing, the ketchup here is to die for, and there is hardly anyone inside, so it's generally on the quiet side.
Vernon Street Grill and Deli deserve all the business Sacramento can give them!“

“Land Ocean is a great spot if you’re looking for a solid meal with top-tier service. We had a variety of dishes, and everything we ordered was consistently good.

For appetizers, the crispy calamari, crispy wonton chips with queso, and the mushroom pastry bites were all flavorful and a great way to start the meal. For the main course, the steak and fried seafood combo and the fish and chips were both well-prepared and satisfying.

What really stood out, though, was the staff. They were incredibly nice and attentive throughout our visit, making the whole experience even better. I would definitely recommend checking this place out!“

“On, Friday, January 24th we came in as a large party (9 adults, and 10 children) with no reservation for a poorly planned birthday celebration. We came in around 4:30, and were told they didn't have the space to accommodate us right then, BUT they would have their large room available in an hour when the waitress running the room started her shift. I know we were so lucky it was available but I just appreciated so much being accommodated considering our poor planning. In the future we will be sure to make a reservation well in advance. We managed to kill an hour, and when we got back and seated in the large room, we realized quickly it was worth the wait. It's a large room with a door, that we had primarily to ourselves the entire time. Our amazing waitress got an order in quickly for breadsticks (which were so delicious) to keep the hungry kids settled. Which was very appreciated. She was just so patient and kind with our chaotic group. She seemed at ease, was friendly and kept everything organized. The food as always was delicious. Everything was so good. The salads, the wings, the pizzas... everything I've come to love at Old town pizza. My absolute favorite pizza place hands down. Aside from the food being consistently delicious, the service here is excellent. The staff is amazing... from the host to the pick up counter. This was my birthday pick and not only was I beyond happy with the experience, so was everyone in my party. Some were new customers who raved about the food and some had never experienced your sit down service before. Everyone walked away full and happy. I could not have asked for a better experience. I just feel bad I waited so long to write this. I will continue to rave about OTP to anyone who will listen and I will be back again soon. Thank you OTP Roseville.“

“We went here not expecting much and had a fantastic morning. Tatiana, our server, was SO NICE and SO ATTENTIVE, she was easily the highlight of our visit! She's that sort of over the top nice that you never experience. She was fantastic and made us feel super welcome.

I got the chicken fried steak breakfast and my wife got a traditional breakfast with biscuit and gravy on the side. First off, the biscuits are amazing, massive, fluffy, just perfect! Tatiana brought me honey with mine and recommended it, and she was SO RIGHT. The biscuit with butter and honey was incredible! The country gravy is really great too, not too thick where it becomes the entire meal, but flavorful and rich and hearty. My chicken fried steak was great, the eggs were perfectly cooked, everything was really good.

There were two things that I think could be improved. The potatoes had a great freshness and texture, but they completely lacked seasoning. No salt, no pepper, no herbs or spices. They would have been completely transformed by some rosemary, thyme, a little paprika or something, and salt and pepper. The orange juice was definitely from concentrate, and while it was pretty good, I've just been spoiled by not from concentrate juices. It's definitely not as big a deal as the potatoes though.

Again, Tatiana was great and we would come back JUST for her even if the food sucked, but most of the food was really good and worth a visit anyway!“

“Stayed at the hotel next door and walked to this place, easy 100 yards. This is a sports bar with real fans watching games and cheering for their team. Locals ending work for the day and having fun and cutting loose. Good beer selection and great happy hour value. Servers were very attentive and efficient. If you're in the area and looking for a place to watch sports, this is a great place.“

Derek H was our server & he gave us the best service we've had in probably years! He was on top of things (like refills & app plates) but also wasn't on top of *us*!! I like that you can somewhat see into the kitchen. Having been a server myself I know that sometimes the kitchen can be hectic but I could see the chefs laughing with each other while they prepared meals. And that to me is a sign of a good restaurant - all the employees seemed to be enjoying themselves as much as one can at work! We have been searching for more local business to spend our time & money with & a big selling point to me, personally, was that their main website page shows that they are not only tolerant or accepting of lgbtqia+ people but they are absolutely affirming. I hope Ashlie & her family are doing as best as can be expected. The website mentions "community" and I didn't expect to feel that the first night but I absolutely did. An older woman felt comfortable enough to come & compliment my skirt & tell me a brief tidbit about her life. And while that may not be 747's doing directly, it does feel like they foster that community feel! Thank you to Kitchen 747 & it's staff for making our first visit memorable!
