“Omg finally hereNow come to the United States to eat Haidilao for the first time in your lifeUse two of the poor people's four squares to join the water method to reduce costsI ordered mutton, beef, fish, fried dough sticks, bell rolls, chrysanthemum, lotus root and shrimp paste. But I was so excited that I ordered the sesame soup base.No one touched the spicy soup base until the end of the meal. It was all in the tomato soup base. And it's strange. There seems to be a gap in the middle of the four-compartment soup pot, and the soup will leak to the clear soup.Same Haidilao, same people serving at the tableBut missing some manicures, massage chairs and other unexpected servicesIf you could see a face-changing show in Haidilao in the United States, I believe Americans’ jaws would drop “

“If you're looking for some comfort Korean food this is the place for you! I really liked the banchan they had, it tasted fresh so we got it refilled a few times. The Gam-ja-tang large was definitely enough for 4 people, it was super filling and tasty! We ordered the cheesy fried rice afterwards, which they make with all your leftover from the Gam-ja-tang and it hit the spot. My favorite thing had to be the Bo-Ssam. The mix of the pork and veggies was so good. Service was quick, and our party of 7 got seated right away for lunch on a Saturday. Ambiance is a cute/casual.“

“Wish sign was Liuyishou Hotpot vs Liuyishou San Diego, would have tried sooner haha. Have a decent baseline for hot pot and this place surprised me. Ayce can be rightfully expensive, but $35+$3 aycDrink was very reasonable for everything offered. Place has a lax, non-pretentious feel. Several solid soup bases to choose from (Mala/Mushroom for us), meat/seafood options were great along with dozens of other staples. Food service was fast and staff were all very friendly/helpful, no sign of "being annoyed" at your requests that I feel a lot of places don't manage or temper enough. Oh and they even cover dessert. Shoutout to the $3 drink add-on with fresh watermelon juice, herbal tea and passionfruit options. Definitely making it back here. Note: We went Monday early dinner service 5pm, so unsure how it is when really busy.“

“Delicious and artful shabu shabu for a great price. I loved the sukiyaki and shoyu broths and the great dipping sauce combinations. Read the instructions on the menu for some help! The egg is pasteurized so you can crack it in the bowl and use it as a dipping sauce for your hot meat bites. The yolk is the best part .The server is very skilled but he serves many people at once so he can be a bit short but he is kind. I left my ring in the bathroom and he saved it for me so I could pick it up the next day ☺️. Don't take it personally. The shabu shabu and experience is well worth it.“

“Delicious food with a really nice atmosphere. It's not fancy, but it's relaxed and comfortable and best of all, not noisy. We were looking for a place where you can hold a conversation (as opposed to the concrete-floored noise chambers most restaurants have become), and this was perfect. You scan a QR code at the table to order online, which worked well. We're looking forward to going back.“

“This place is located in a plaza among other cuisines. The restaurant itself is fairly small. Parking: plenty of parking in the plaza parking lot or street parking if available The restaurant offers dry hot pot meaning that it comes in a shareable pot that keeps the food warm. I got the pork belly mixed with veggies garlic flavor and the beef slices with potatoes & broccoli spicy flavor. The food itself was basically comfort Chinese food, it comes with noodles or rice depending on your preference. Overall, the dishes were a tad bit salty but if you eat it with rice it balance out the flavor. Def give it a try if you want something different from the usual hot pot.“

“If you are looking for analogies on the type of place this is, think of Kula Revolving Sushi, minus the conveyor belt, and hotpot version. Or if you've been to Seapot (which isn't here in San Diego), without the conveyor belt. The ambiance of the restaurant is bright at the tables with a certain element of darkness in the background. You can also place a reservation if needed. Having a meal here is best for communal sharing, best on a cold day. You pick your broth to share for the table with two choices. For the spice level, it could be spicy. If you are unsure, you can have them start you off mild and then add more spice if it's not enough. The menu has items and drinks that aren't available at their appetizers (graffiti) or fridge area. Some of their popular items that even had me eyeing it like the crispy fried pork. After writing down your order, go to the graffiti decorated area to make your sauce to dip your items in. There is also have soups and some fruit with sesame balls - that's usually grabbed towards the end of your meal, but you can do it anytime. Then after putting down your items, you grab a white tray, and make a second visit to gaze upon the fridge and see what items you want in the hotpot. They have a plethora of meat along with some vegetarian options on the stick. Majority of items are seasoned spicy. This is not an all you can eat via one price. One stick is 50 cents. The boxes are priced based on color (which are unlisted). Once you grab your food options, your pot should have been brought to the table already and you can start to enjoy! My favorite to grab was the money bags as we went during Lunar New Year Eve. Parking may be a tad hard if you going during hungry time but there is also street parking. Bathrooms were alright. There are also shelves for holding food that you grabbed, but many patrons put their clothes in the middle to low areas. The most sticks the server who was counting ours was 200 sticks. We ate 78 sticks worth between 5 people at our table. Came out to around $175 without tip. We had 2 big eaters, 2 medium eaters, and 1 small eater. For big eaters, this may not be the place for you to splurge. But for small eaters, this is perfect to eat the amount you want. For those with food sensitivities, it will be hard to eat if your table since everything will be easily cross-contaminated (if you come in a group).“

“I’ve been to Shabumi two times now, once to try the KBBQ option and the other time to try the hotpot option. Both times I went during lunch time so there wasn’t a wait, though it might be a different story if I went during the busy dinner hours. Because it was lunch time, the price was pretty reasonable, not sure how I’d feel paying for the dinner prices though.I really like that each person can choose between one or the other, that the table doesn’t have to choose just one. I also really liked that it’s individual grill/pot so you can individually choose ingredients/spice level. For KBBQ, I ordered the chuck eye steak, beef belly, beef bulgogi, and galbi. My favorite from these are the belly and bulgogi. You can order three meats at a time and they’re pretty quick with bringing out orders. For hot pot, I ordered black Angus chuck tender, prime chuck eye, beefy belly, and brisket point. The meat was pretty good quality and looked/tasted fresh. My friends and I chose the chicken soup base since it was the recommended one with the most flavor. I wish they offered a spicy soup base, but you’re able to make your own sauce at the bar.The salad bar was packed with lots of choices for noodles, seafood, vegetables, and other sides to add to your pot. I really liked the Japchae for their side dish too.Service was quick and the servers were attentive both times.Overall, I’d come back here again for lunch time.Parking: The restaurant shares a parking lot with Target and other restaurants. There’s plenty of parking, depending on what time of the day you go“
